Oil Shortage 'Claim' Tip of the Iceberg
Oil Shortage ‘Claim’ Tip of the Iceberg
Few thought it was possible, but a surefire conspiracy seems to be brewing. Energy, the heartbeat of the world, is the cusp in the coming tide. The theory of Peak Oil is running rampant. Over 75% of the human population believe that he earth will soon run out of oil.. The US is producing less than 40% of the domestic crude it needs. It’s regulatory limitations have increased so much that a new oil refinery hasn’t been built in over 30 years. It’s environmental regulations have ‘built’ a wall around obtaining oil from the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), ANWR, and oil shales. That can mean only one thing.
The current administration seems to want a global governance. That governance would be controlled by one person--a ruler of sorts over everything. The UN would control energy, economies, and lives. But Obama has the power to put America first again.
Before one pooh-pooh’s this as another ‘conspiracy theory’, consider this. America is literally dependent on foreign oil now. But an estimated 31 billion barrels offshore, 117 billion barrels under land managed or owned by the government, and 139 billion barrels beneath privately held land exist in America. Even though the US is clearly well-positioned to declare energy independence, it is handcuffed by regulations from purported oil leaks from platforms, transport leaks, and increasing CO2 loads in the atmosphere.
Acceding to (A World Afloat on an Ocean of Oil// 6/15/08) American Daily: Contributor - Alan Caruba, oil seems to be available many places. We just haven’t accessed it yet. In the recently released 10/09 report by the U.S. Fossil Fuel Resources: Terminology, Reporting, and Summary, it readily shows how the US has a huge amount of oil, natural gas, and coal that hasn’t been accessed, but is there for the taking.
Amazingly, on 7/3/06 the Investor’s Business Daily editorial reported that no major spills were recorded as Hurricanes Rita and Katrina battered almost 3000 oil and gas drilling platforms operating in the Gulf of Mexico. There have been operating oil platforms offshore in Britain and Norway for decades with no incidents, and oil platforms in Brazil have had the same performance. Per the Department of the Interior, more than 7 billion barrels have been produced in federal waters with less than 0.001% spilled.
Logically, a new device called the ‘breakaway’ valve has been used. Even if the entire platform is ripped a way, the pumped oil is immediately shut off. To put things into a better perspective, a National Academy of Sciences report shows 63% of the leaked petroleum in North American waters comes from natural seepage from the ocean floor. According to Power Line - Where to Drill First, in Santa Barbara the local group Stop Oil Seeps advocates drilling there to improve the environment.
Bottom line--INSIGHT on Freedom: Life in a Box by Paul Driessen shows the existing administration stating an ‘official’ unemployment rate of 10.2%. But a closer look shows a number closer to 22% if you count all those who have given up trying to find a job. That compares to Americans working at 1.2 million new well paying jobs, just in the energy sector, found in Doc Hastings : Obama Blocks New Energy Exploration - Townhall.com. This would also include $70 billion in additional wages each year (American Energy Alliance). Oh, that also includes 2.2 trillion in total tax receipts. Better add fewer unemployment checks being paid out. This increases US energy independence, and reduces the risk of terrorists threatening to disrupt an oil supply.
According to Driessen, many of our best energy prospects are off-limits, and locked up in over 5,000,000 acres of wilderness, refuge, park, recreation, endangered species habitats, ecological study areas, and “protective buffer zones”. The total of oil shale deposits in America makes any other country look pale in comparison. The Institute for Energy Research calculates oil shale deposits alone in America contain 1 trillion barrels of recoverable oil. That is nearly equal to the world’s total known conventional oil reserves.
On 12/28/09 we learned the US government is going to loan Petrobas, a Brazilian oil producer, up to $10 billion to finance the development of massive hydrocarbon reserves off Brazil’s coast. If successful, Brazil would transform into one of the world’s top 10 oil producers. Nothing but restrictions on the US.
It turns out The Myth Of Peak Oil destroys claims oil is only a fossil fuel, or a biological detritus of either fossilized remains of dinosaurs or algae. Amazing it has already been calculated that all the oil pumped, and in the ground now, is immensely larger than all the fossilized detritus that could have ever formed.
Restrictions on coal, nuclear energy, and natural gas all add at least 5 times to the numbers predicted above for America without current restrictions and regulations. Evidently this administration has something else in mind. How could they possibly be against more energy independence, higher employment, elimination of terrorist blackmail in the US, and more tax revenue?
Yes, Obama alone has the ability to pull America out of the demise it’s in now. All indications are he will not do that. In fact many didn’t catch it, but Obama even mentioned the US being in the ‘global’ economy during his State of the Union address on 1/27.
If we actually knew what Democrats discuss behind closed doors, we’d have a new administration.

Some Miracles Are Easy to Believe
Some Miracles Are Easy to Believe
Many discoveries about the universe have only been made the last century that boggle the mind. The speed of light (186,000 mph) is only one. The closest star, Proxima Centauri, receives light from our sun in 4.22 years. If each star in our galaxy, The Milky Way Galaxy, is represented as a grain of sand, all the stars would fill a large dump truck.
But today, thanks in part to the Hubble Space Telescope and from Radical Amazement (Judy Cannato), we know there are billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars. If each star was represented by a grain of sand, if one imagined filled railroad hopper cars, passing by at the rate of one per second for twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week, it would take three years for all the sand-filled hopper cars to pass by.
If your mind is not boggled enough, scientists such as Edwin Hubble, Albert Einstein, Georges Lemaitre, George Gamow, and Wendy Freedman were a few that concluded the universe was actually expanding at an increasing rate, which started off with the Big Bang Theory approximately 13.7 billion years ago. This theory is corroborated by cosmic radiation throughout the universe. With God in charge of that kind of synthesis, why would anyone doubt His ability for miracles on this puny earth?
Some physicists have concluded that God had ‘life’ in mind all along. In Radical Amazement it was shown in the beginning if the start of the Big Bang had expanded a trillionth of a trillionth of a percent slower, the gravitational force would have imploded the universe. If it had expanded a trillionth of a trillionth faster, matter would have escaped all gravitational pull, and would have expanded at a rate fast enough not allowing any life to form.
Realizing all this was likely for a purpose, one (and all Christians do) could understand how such a God could easily produce miracles such as healing lepers, giving sight to the blind, providing food for thousands, walking on water, and controlling the weather. It should be no stretch whatsoever to believe He could actually rise from the dead.
After all the making and production in the cosmos, what could He NOT do? Transubstantiation, the complete changing of ordinary bread and wine into His actual body and blood, should be comparatively utter simplicity to God. But even some Christians have doubts.
In John [Bible] alone, Jesus says numerous times “My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.” Most bolted upon hearing this, because they thought He was talking about cannibalism. Jesus did not stop those from leaving, because He knew some humans may not grasp this miracle. Transubstantiation means a total physical change with the same appearance, no mere co-representation, and no grape juice.
It’s interesting that the only ones who would not leave and remained with Jesus were his apostles. Jesus asked if they would leave too. They would not. Even more interesting was most of those twelve (ex. Judas) became the cornerstone of the Catholic Faith.
It turns out Christians believed in the Eucharist until around 1517 when some Christian sects decided Jesus’ statement was just too unbelievable, and determined on a different ‘interpretation’. Maybe in 1517, many Christians had no idea what information was waiting for them with the determination of the making of the cosmos.
Amazingly in 2003, scientists using the LAMBDA - Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) observed that about 25% of the existing universe is “dark matter”. This matter cannot be seen, but it can be detected by its gravitational pull.
And about 70% of the universe is “dark energy”. It has been determined this is the force that is accelerating the expansion of the universe. That means almost 70% of the universe cannot be seen, but most now agree it is causing the universe to expand, with mass velocities faster at the outer reaches of the universe.
As Neil deGrasse Tyson’s “Death by Black Hole” puts it (p. 47), there is an education we weaned from this journey of the mind: “…humans are emotionally fragile, perennially gullible, [and] hopelessly ignorant masters of an insignificantly small speck in the cosmos.”
It is possible God’s question could be put to many in this day and age: “Do you also want to leave?”[John 6:67]

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER ... The modern version
THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER
This one is a little different… . Two Different Versions… .......…
.… Two Different Morals
OLD VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away..
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MODERN VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.
CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green.’
ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the group singing, “We shall overcome.” Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper’s sake.
President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper’s plight.
Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood..
The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

The Choice Between Prosperity and Decline
The Choice Between Prosperity and Decline
By Jeff Lukens
This land of a free people and a free-market economy has generated a great wave of innovation that has benefited all of humanity. The essence of freedom and prosperity that moved around the world in past 200 and some years has been driven primarily by the United States. With our economy now stagnating, it has become more important than ever to return to the basic Constitutional freedoms that have made prosperity possible.
My son came home from college to visit recently. After some time of catching up on things, the conversation turned to topics that interest him—and that means all things electronic. He explained to me why I needed the latest operating system update for the computer and how properly to configure the surround sound system for the HDTV. I could barely keep up with it. Somewhere in the conversation, it occurred to me that in the long view of human history, we have come a long way in a very short time.
Think about it. In the 1600s, the ships that brought the first settlers to our shores, and tools for tilling the soil they brought with them, were not much more advanced than those used by people thousands of years before. In the relatively short time since their arrival in the New World, there has been an explosion in technology and the standard of living for ordinary people.
Communications, for example, were revolutionized first by the telegraph, then by telephone, then radio, then television, and now by the Internet and the computer. In that same time, the average length of life has been doubled, and the quality of life has been greatly enhanced. Homes, heating, cooling, clothing, transportation, food, education, and medicine have quickly advanced as well.
While people around the globe have benefited and other countries have contributed, the American spirit of innovation and free enterprise has been a driving force behind much of the change. And that change has flowed primarily from the fruits that come from the individual freedoms that the Founders understood and turned loose.
In his book, W. Cleon Skousen calls this American phenomenon “The 5000 Year Leap” that changed the world. Whether it was actually a 5000-year leap forward is hard to say, but it certainly was a giant step in the advancement of human civilization.
The Founders generally agreed that the only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law. The Declaration of Independence called this “the laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” Constitutional precepts such as unalienable rights, habeas corpus, limited government, separation of power, no taxation without representation, were based on Natural Law.
The Founders intended a government that is subservient to the people (rather than the reverse), that rights are not derived by government but by a higher power, that the free market system more than any other provides the best, most efficient and most just opportunity for individual prosperity and for the welfare of the nation as a whole.
It would be wonderful if every American studied writings of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, and others that have made our great nation possible, but sadly this is not so. In our collective ignorance, we are becoming hostages to our very own government. As Ben Franklin said, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”
Has our idea of “rights” become so corrupt that we are allowing the government to become our master? As the health care battle rages on Capitol Hill, could we be seeing a reversal of roles by the government and its citizens?
Today, many in Washington wish to overturn what they see to be outmoded notions of Constitutional law. We hear of conferring new, artificial rights not granted by the Creator, but by other men. The “right” to government-sponsored health care is only the latest example. And in the end, it is nothing more than a ruse intended to empower the state and deny everyone his or her true inalienable rights.
In just the past few weeks, we have seen it all. From grossly irresponsible spending of taxpayer money, to an ever-increasing national debt, to corrupt political payoffs, to expanding entitlements that we cannot pay for, the list goes on. The government corruption and mismanagement of our finances has been going on for decades, and it is getting worse. We must face the possibility that the great wave of prosperity that this nation has known from the beginning could be ending, and that our government is causing much of the decline.
The economic trend lines do not paint a pretty picture. Not to be too dramatic, but the bankruptcy of our government, a collapse of the American economy, and hence the world economy, could happen. That almost happened in the 1930s, and this time it could be worse.
One thing for certain, fixing society’s problems is not accomplished by growing government and the overstepping its constitutional role, but by a return to founding principles. For prosperity and innovation to continue, we must choose to preserve the honest relationship of self-interested individuals working in cooperation with a government of limited and divided authority.
From the beginning until today, the “noble experiment” of free people and free enterprise has produced phenomenal results. There has never been of greater need than now, however, to preserve our Constitutional principles. The future of our children is depending on it.

News reporters and one tough Marine captured by terrorists ...
Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson, Brian Williams and a tough old U.S. Marine Gunny Sergeant were captured by terrorists in Iraq .
The leader of the terrorists told them he’d grant each of them one last request before they were beheaded and dragged naked through the streets.
Katie Couric said,’Well, I’m a Southerner, so I’d like one last plate of fried chicken.’
The leader nodded to an underling who left and returned with the chicken. Couric ate it all and said, ‘Now I can die content.’
Charlie Gibson said, ‘I’m living in New York , so I’d like to hear the song, The Moon and Me, one last time.’
The terrorist leader nodded to another terrorist who had studied the Western world and knew the music..He returned with some rag-tag musicians and played the song.
Gibson was satisfied.
Brian Williams said, ‘I’m a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder and describe the scene here and what’s about to happen. Maybe, someday, someone will hear it and know that I was on the job till the end.’
The leader directed an aide to hand over the tape recorder and Williams dictated his comments.
He then said, ‘Now I can die happy.’
The leader turned and said, ‘And now, Mr. U.S. Marine, what is your final wish?
‘Kick me in the a**,’ said the Marine.
‘What?’ asked the leader, ‘Will you mock us in your last hour?’
‘No, I’m NOT kidding. I want you to kick me in the a**,’ insisted the Marine.
So the leader shoved him into the yard and kicked him in the a**.
The Marine went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9 mm pistol from inside his cammies and shot the leader dead.
In the resulting confusion, he emptied his sidearm on six terrorists, then with his knife he slashed the throat of one, and with an AK-47, which he took, sprayed the rest of the terrorists killing another 11.
In a flash, all of them were either dead or fleeing for their lives.
As the Marine was untying Couric, Gibson, and Williams, they asked him,’Why didn’t you just shoot them all in the first place? Why did you ask him to kick you in the a**?’
‘What?’ replied the Marine, ‘and have you three a**holes report that I was the aggressor.....?
Semper Fi!
