Democrats Solidify Their Separation
Democrats Solidify Their Separation
Democrats run the House, the Senate, the Presidency, the Judiciary, but they wanted a little bit more in North Carolina. They figured they were powerful enough in the state to do what they wanted, so they decided they wouldn’t allow a vote on the issue of a specialty license plate—a “Choose Life” plate.
On 2/17/09 there was a legislative rally in front of the General Assembly Building in Raleigh. The main purpose of the NC Right to Life and NC Pro-life Democrats protesters was to simply allow a floor vote on the legislation (R-85). This is simply the ugly tip of an even uglier problem.
Nationally, the voluntary purchase and renewal of more than 456,000 “Choose Life” plates has raised almost $10 million for pregnancy care. Bob Egelko (San Francisco Chronicle) has admitted that California has received 7,500 separate paid applications for specialty license plates. Backers of the proposed “Choose Life” plate failed several times to obtain that specialty plate. A federal court ruling (2004) declared the entire specialty plate program unconstitutional, but the judge did allow previously approved plates to remain.
Lately, one party has overstepped its acquired political power. Within the past year there was a discussion in the House about allowing the US to drill for oil in US territory. Having control of the majority of the House, Democrats decided they would decide.
Even though the majority of Americans thought otherwise, Democrats halted any discussion of drilling, and shut off the lights on those who still had something to say. They wouldn’t allow a vote on drilling in the US. And the US is still importing most of its oil, and can still be blackmailed when it comes to obtaining more oil. It seems Democrats want control of America no matter what the cost.
Currently, North Carolina issues 130 specialty plates. There is no party affiliation necessary for “Choose Life” plates. The plate simply shows support for positive, life-affirming options for any pregnant woman no matter which party she belongs too. The goal is to provide funds for those agencies that help educate women about the benefits of adoption over abortion--for agencies providing maternal heath care, parenting skills, and caring adoption programs.
Already the government provides services (Medicare/Medicaid) for needs after an abortion. It seems as though the funds provided from these specialty plates reduces the abortions, and thereby abortion costs. And, they allow more people to live.
The action of legislators running roughshod over their bosses (taxpayers) is way out of hand. Current specialty plates are allowed for wildlife, animal lovers, forestry, ducks, buffalo, sea turtles, and much more. It seems as we have skewed our priorities of the life of a human being.
Are they afraid of losing on one issue that bad? It does seem like some “Right to Life” supporters may need to change parties. Especially since the right to ‘life’ is the top priority issue. Democrats believe the “Choose Life” plates to be a wedge issue, and if they loose on this issue, their entire platform begins to crumble. But they are dead in the water (excuse the pun) if they think ignoring the issue will make it go away.

Global climate change info...
With all the hype and false information about “global warming” we hear these days, it is often uncommon for us to hear the real truth. The media will always side with the left on most issues and especially with this one. Now you can know the truth. Climate change has little to do with human activity at all. It has more to do with the Sun. It occurs naturally and has for as long as the Earth has been in existance. For more information yuo can check out any of the following sites that reveal that the push “to do something about global warming” is nothing more than another way to grab power. Please pass on these informative sites.
Sincerely,
Rob Hood

“Peak-Oil” Limits Horizons
“Peak-Oil” Limits Horizons
“Peak Oil” [Hubbert (1903-89)] predicted US domestic oil extraction would ‘peak’ by 1970. Oil extraction did peak in 1970, and attempts at predictions for world production were made. But Hubbert left out a few things.
“Peak Oil” did not take into account new finds, new drilling techniques, different sources of oil, or different types of oil (abiotic, oil shale, etc…). Hubbert also didn’t figure new sources of energy like nuclear fission and/or fusion. In fact, all estimates of biogenic oil sources came from antiquated extraction methods and no new large finds. The theory of “Peak Oil” actually leaves out all of the massive oil shale deposits, tar sands and extra heavy oil.
New finds such as the 33 billion barrel find by Petrobas off the coast of Brazil, the Dnieper-Donets Basin in Russia (sixty-one wells drilled—almost 60% success rate), emerging oil-rich regions such as Iraq (by 2040 production rivaling Saudi Arabia), Exxon/Mobil’s (investment of more than $60 billion before 2010) plans on pumping hydrocarbons to at least 20 more locations, and extensive drilling in the Canadian Arctic by Dome Petroleum and Petro Canada reveal billions of gallons available (WSJ).
OPEC countries such as UAE, Dubai, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela have all had suspicious increases of reserves in the 80’s and 90’s (Colin Campbell/Sun World). The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has stated that there is 1.4 trillion barrels of known unused reserves of oil worldwide. EIA statistics shows that the US alone has 152 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil, enough to last over 50 years with the world’s current rate (85 mbbl/day) of consumption.
Drilling for oil is hampered by many things. Shipment of the oil in Arctic waters is vulnerable to Arctic ice. ANWR and the US Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) have not been drilled because of environmental laws. Various air pollution reduction plans mandate (US) refiners produce more than 45 blends, and the lack of refining capacity in the US (due to regulations) are a major choke point. Increased gasoline taxes have also resulted in a dampening effect. It’s past time for government to get out of the way.
But enhanced drilling techniques such as 3D seismic imaging; radar; chemical reduction of oil viscosity in pipelines; and ability to drill horizontal, ultra-deep, and through hard rock formations, didn’t exist 30 years ago. With classified technology, oil can be produced almost anywhere on earth.
Abqaiq and Ghawar, two of the biggest oil fields of Saudi Arabia, are beginning to recover two out of three barrels underground due to modern oil extraction techniques (Nansen Saleri/WSJ/CEO Quantum Reservoir Impact). Unfolding technologies will likely double recovery efficiencies (Saleri). Even a 10% increase will result in 140 additional billion barrels of oil—an extra 50 year supply at current consumption rates.
Evidence seems to be supporting the abiogenic theory. It states that petroleum is formed from non-biological sources of hydrocarbons located deep within the earth’s crust. With methane being the primary precursor, under the right conditions it can become a non-biological source of oil.
Oil is being found at 30,000 feet, which is far below the depth of 18,000 where organic matter disappears. In all excavated oil, biomarkers exist. Carbon-13 is the isotope scientists associate with abiotic origin, while carbon-12 is usually with biotic (Corsi/WorldNetDaily).
Hydrocarbon deposits have been found where biogenic production is not feasible, or where sedimentary strata location is directly above fractures in the basement below. The above is evidenced by Ghawar (Saudi Arabia), White Tiger field (Vietnam), Eugene Island 330 (Louisiana), Panhandle Field (Kansas), Tengiz Field (Kazakhstan), and many others in California, Western Venezuela, and Morocco.
Ultra-deep wells, some deeper than 40,000 feet (Kola SG-3), have been drilled in Russia. With this advanced technology, Russia has rivaled Saudi Arabia as the world’s biggest single oil producer. Dr. J. F. Kenney, who helped develop the huge Dnieper-Donets Basin, said “Alone to have produced the amount of oil to date that Ghawar Field has produced would have required a cube of fossilized dinosaur detritus, assuming 100% conversion efficiency, measuring 19 miles deep, wide and high.” In short, very unlikely.
Energy from nuclear fission has been thwarted by environmental legislation. The nuclear fusion (ITER) location in Cadarache (France) is due to start up in 2020. A commercial reactor will likely be online by 2050. Of course, shortly thereafter, we may find cars as in the movie “Back to the Future” being supplied with items such as old banana peels used to make energy for propulsion.
It was just revealed the US exported 1.8 million barrels/day of refined petroleum in February so far (Reuters/Energy Department). This represents 10% of total US refining capacity of 17.6 million barrels/day. Maybe the old administration understood oil availability is not the problem—it is environmental regulations.

Obama and Race a No-Starter
Obama and Race a No-Starter
by Kevin Roeten
Nobody admits it, but race was a huge factor in the recent presidential election. Many Republicans seemed paranoid about appearing racist by not exclaiming the virtues of the first black president. Some of those who didn’t vote for Obama actually wished Obama the best, and planned to watch the inauguration.
Obama is called America’s first black president. But he’s only 50% black, with a white mother and a black father. Many do not take MLK Jr’s words to heart: “I have a dream…where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
The thrust should have been to elect a leader with good character. Possibilities include Michael Steele, JC Watts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Thomas Sowell, Justice Janice Rodgers Brown, Reverend Wayne Perryman, Angela McGowan, Frances Rice, and Shelby Steele (black father/ white mother) to name a few. Interesting, all of the aforementioned are Black.
Each of these would likely not have received the same kind of black participation and laud in their inauguration as Obama. One can easily deduce character really didn’t matter to 54% of America. But race did.
A portion of our population forgets a huge amount of factual history:
1) Lincoln (Republican) freed Blacks with the Emancipation Proclamation
2) Republicans were responsible for passing 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.
3) Democrats started the “KKK” in 1866.
4) Democrats enacted discriminatory “Black Codes” and “Jim Crow” laws.
5) Republicans, and especially Republican Senator Everett Dirksen, were responsible for all Civil Rights laws of 1866, 1875, 1957, 1964, and 1965.
6) Joe Biden, while senator, boasted that his home state of Delaware was a “slave” state.
7) Republican Richard Nixon first to enact “AA” in his 1969 Philadelphia Plan.
8) MLK Sr. and MLK Jr. were both Republicans.
9) Alveda King revealed her uncle (MLK Jr.) would’ve definitely been against abortion.
10) Republican James Weldon Johnson first to lead NCAAP on Lincoln’s 100th birthday.
11) Democrat “Bull” Connor turned dogs and fire hoses on civil rights demonstrators.
12) Democrat Lester Maddox prevented Blacks from patronizing his restaurant.
13) Democrat George Wallace in front of a schoolhouse screaming “segregation forever”.
14) Democrat JFK had MLK Jr. wiretapped on suspicion of being a communist.
15) On 12/10/04 in US District Court the Democrat Party admitted racism for 150 years based on their “Jim Crow” laws and “Black Codes”. But, decision thrown out on a technicality.
All of these, and other facts, can be checked on www.NBRA.info or http://www.trustedpartner.com/docs/library/000143/NBRA%20Civil%20Rights%20Newsletter.pdf
With what was been called the most racist and oppressive administration towards “life”, Obama has eliminated the Mexico City Policy, allowing taxpayers to pay for all overseas abortions for Americans. He has joined forces with Planned Parenthood, and plans to make appointments to the Supreme Court that are only pro-abortion judges.
Worst of all, he knows the fact that even though Blacks are only 13% of the population they make up 35% of all abortions. Literally ¼ of the Black population has been killed since Roe vs. Wade by abortion. Instead of increasing in percentage of American population, Blacks have been decreasing. If one plots for the elimination of a group of people, this is a way to do it.
The Kansas Conference of Catholic Bishops has publicly stated what many of the USCCB would not publicly state---“Advancing pro-abortion candidates is incompatible with the Catholic Faith”. Voting for such a candidate would be considered “intrinsically evil” regardless of the circumstances. The USCCB publicly stated abortion was highest on the list of issues—not the economy. Even Pope Benedict (flying to Brazil 5/9/07) stated that one should face outright excommunication from the Church for supporting the killing of a human child.
Why would Obama support the killing of the Black population? Why would he support the abortion of Blacks over every other population segment? Why would he lie about reducing the number of abortions once he became president?
A frightening statistic is Hitler was responsible for 6 million deaths during the Holocaust. With Supreme Court nominations and new policies, Obama will be responsible for 6 million deaths if president for 4 years.
Respecting Obama and the position of president, and praying for his conversion to a true Christian, is something all of us need to do. Wishing him the best, and going to his inauguration suggests agreement with his policies as well, and is not good at all.
When hearing the suggestion of him being the “anti-Christ”, it has been written off as a gross exaggeration. With every policy and every appointment he has made, that decision may have to be re-evaluated.

Inquisitions Defend Against Radical Islam
Inquisitions Defend Against Radical Islam
Many believe the Inquisitions were an indelible stain on Christianity, namely Catholics, during the Middle Ages. The Spanish Inquisition was the most denigrated, with alleged horror stories conducted by deranged Catholics. In 1492, Spain ended the rule of Boabdil, the last Muslim leader (Lord of History /Anne Carroll), by a Crusade.
A true Christian and loyal Spaniard was Queen Isabella, who was determined to reform the Church in Spain. She decided to use the Inquisition in as a way to determine if the Moriscos (converted Moors) were a faithful Christian, or an enemy the country.
Not all, but some Moors/Islamics had been baptized Catholics and had risen to high positions in the government and Church. Their reactionary ideas and eventual plans to conquer proved a major threat to the Church, and to Spain.
In the beginning there were many abuses of torture, and executions of the guilty. The pope found out, stepped in, and appointed new Inquisitors. The head Inquisitor was a Dominican monk called Thomas de Torquemada. He reformed the Spanish Inquisition, made its procedures more lenient, and improved conditions in the prisons. He personally examined appeals of the accused and gave money to help the families of those on trial.
Physical torture was wrong and is condemned by the Church. However, abuses still took place without papal authority. Church officials actually executed no one. The guilty were tuned over to civil officials who carried out their own punishments.
Treason in the Middle Ages was almost always recognized as a crime justifying capital punishment. In the Spanish Inquisition the guilty were always given a chance to repent. It’s interesting to note the treasonous guilty were also executed here in the United States until just a few decades ago. Now, treason should never mandate the punishment of death, but there were 2,000 executions out of 100,000 tried in the Spanish Inquisition (Patrick Madrid/Pope Fiction).
The Spanish Inquisition was mainly a state affair, ruled by the sovereigns of that nation. The pope was actually only a distant overseer, ruling only on serious disputes. Records show repeated interventions of Church officials after learning of excesses or cruelty in interrogations.
The Inquisitions did result in some good effects. Opportunities for Muslim invasion and takeover were significantly reduced (Madrid). But as Warren Carroll (Reasons for Faith) states, “…the Inquisition was one of the fairest, most honest courts in Spain.”
There is no question about the pope’s infallibility, which includes only two categories: doctrine and morals. The Inquisition was concerned with discipline: the civil and legal issues revolved around heresy. Even though the Inquisition was a truthful and legitimate tool, it was sometimes misused.
Spain has over 1 million Muslims today (over 10% of population), but is in direct danger of being overrun by Muslim customs and beliefs. In fact, most of Europe is growing rapidly with Muslims. World Muslim population (InvestEast) is 24.5% and accelerating.
The real threat is Islamic radicals—not peaceful Muslims. The Crusades held radical Islam at bay for hundreds of years. The Inquisitions helped to temporarily quell insurrections and takeovers by radical Islam. But violent and non-violent incursions of radical Islam have continued to usurp land and countries--many very recently.
Then 9/11 occurred.
The writing is on the wall. Can we see what it says?
