Do all the Christians know what God thinks about man causing the earth to warm? Believing one has the power to affect an entire planet’s ecosystem is presumptuous at best and rashly arrogant at worst. God is either laughing at the sheer audacity of such an endeavor, or crying at the outcome of such egotistical actions. Are some of us telling God that man is in charge now?

A Supreme Being designing an idyllic habitat seems to be the obvious explanation. Without going into physics, Stephen Hawking (renown physicist) wrote: “If the rate of expansion of the big bang had been smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million million, the universe would have re-collapsed before it ever reached its present state.”

One fundamental number we’re reminded about is the proton. It is exactly 1836 times heavier than the electron. If that number were different, the required molecules would not form. There would be no chemistry, no life, and no scientists to wonder about it.

God awaits our conclusions. The historic evidence of a moderate, natural 1,500-year climate cycle includes Roman writings, Egypt’s early Nile flood records, and ancient Chinese court documents. The scientific evidence confirming this cycle has been literally “dug up” in the past 25 years.

We know that sunspot appearances have an 11 year cycle, which directly affect gamma ray radiation, which affect cloud cover, which affect global warming. We know the earth has a tilt, its orbit is not a perfect circle, the sun is actually a variable star, and a myriad of other variables that have been set in motion.

Going further back, we find the “little ice age” of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, when the Hudson and the Thames froze, crops failed, and disease was rampant. Before that, we come upon the “medieval climate optimum” when a prevailing warmth made life pleasant, grape vines grew in England, and the Vikings established settlements in Greenland and Newfoundland.

There was an explosion of life forms 550 million years ago in the Cambrian Period when CO2 levels were 18 times higher than today, and in the Jurassic Period (when dinosaurs roamed) CO2 levels were as much as nine times higher.

It’s true that windmills, ethanol, waves/tides, and solar collectors can generate electricity. But it’s difficult to pour their energy into vehicles. The manufacture of ethanol actually produces more CO2 than gasoline use, and contains 50% less available heat. Windmills usually stop when there’s little wind.

One would think God would know of the alleged shortage of oil, and He would devise a way oil could be produced almost indefinitely. The 1970’s scientific theory called Hubbert’s Peak Oil predicted we would exhaust oil reserves by 2003. But counter intuitively, many oil fields have reported increased production.

Evidence for “abiotic” oil (Science) has been popping up in some strange places. “Abiotic” means formation of oil without biological decay over millions of years. Evidence such as finding oil at 30,000 feet, far below 18,000 feet where organic matter disappears; and some inoperative wells that are pumping significantly more barrels than earlier. But the oft-overlooked “coup-de-grace”: the amount of oil pumped to date, cannot be accounted for by matter from ancient forests and dinosaurs.

Oil from numerous sources has been verified to partially be from a geologically different age than the original sources. Scientists are finding the carbon-13 isotope associated with “abiotic” origin together with carbon-12 associated with biotic origin. Remarkably, as drilling techniques are allowing for deeper drilling, huge quantities of oil deposits are being discovered. Lately, huge finds are in the territories of Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Russia, and the US.

In 2005 Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, requiring the Department of the Interior to inventory the oil resources in US territory. The nation’s untapped oil resources totaled 139 billion barrels. Interior’s Mineral Management Services reported that just the offshore portion (85.9 billion barrels) is more than the proven oil in Venezuela, and more than the proven oil in Russia, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain combined.

If Someone could think of the most efficient planet that could exist, He would probably think of animals that would consume oxygen and expel carbon dioxide, while at the same time having all vegetation consume carbon dioxide but expel oxygen. He would think of an environment with temperature variances, but limitless energy sources. It certainly looks like we got that planet.

People still claim global warming is a threat when the earth is now in a decade old cooling cycle. Many forget the passage in Genesis (8:21) when God told Noah after the flood, “Never again will I doom the earth because of man…”

Minutemen United is calling for a national outreach event at your local
McDonald’s on Monday, September 1, 2008. Instead of remaining neutral in the
culture war, McDonald’s Corporation has decided to put its name, money, and
efforts behind the radical homosexual movement.

Earlier this year McDonald’s donated $20,000 to become part of the National Gay
and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).  Also McDonald’s Vice President of
Communications (Richard Ellis) has joined the Board of Directors for the NGLCC. 
McDonald’s has supported other gay activities like the recent Gay Pride Parade
in San Francisco.  Recently it was confirmed that McDonald’s is now supporting
Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, which is a national organization devoted to
the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in the workplace. 
McDonald’s has spent thousands of dollars and hours in this effort as well as
assisting Out and Equal with their training.

Minutemen United is calling on Minutemen across this great nation to go to their
local McDonald’s on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, and sound the alarm.  Most
everyone we have talked with over the past few weeks about this issue were
genuinely shocked and said, “I didn’t know that!” Our primary goal is to
educate the public about what McDonald’s is supporting when we buy their Happy
Meals.  Our hope is to send a very clear message to the McDonald’s Corporation
that their revenues will be showing a down turn as a result of their entry into
the culture war.

On September 1st, Minutemen United will be standing in front of select
McDonald’s in Ohio, Missouri, North Carolina, Idaho, Texas and many other states
with signs indicating we strongly object to their support of Gay Marriage and
encouraging Christians to boycott McDonald’s until they repent.

It’s given that the global Islamic population in 2007 was 1.84 billion (28% total) (World Mission Report).  But 80% of US Muslims say suicide bombings of civilians to defend Islam cannot be justified, and 13% say they can be. That 13% is the wedge between traditional Islam and radical Islam. Actually, 13% x 1,840,000,000 = 239,000,000 should give the number of potential radical Muslims that exist.

Compared to traditional Muslim numbers, radical Muslims are small. But they are an influential minority, and are growing rapidly. No matter how many Islamic radicals are killed (Dinesh D’Souza/ Islam, a Religion of Violence), they seem able to replenish its numbers with traditional Muslim recruits.

It doesn’t sound like there can be any progress in the war against terrorism without stopping the growth of radical Islam. We’ve only seen what we call Islamic terrorism in the past 30 years. But Islam has been around since Mohammed (born 571 A.D.). As D’Souza asks: “What is it about Islam that makes it an incubator of fanaticism and terrorism? Why is it that now, as never before, so many people are willing to kill and be killed in the name of Allah?”

Prior to 9/11, the dozens of airplane hijackings, the 1972 Olympics, the Achille Lauro (1985), the first WTC bombings (1993), the Khobar Tower bombings (1996), the US Embassy bombings (1998), and the USS Cole (2000) was committed by radical Islamists. Then you add the Madrid bombings (2004), the London bombings (2005), the Danish cartoon scandal (2006), and you wonder when the next will be. Muslims are, unquestionably, the world’s largest generator of terrorists.

Evidently Islam is not a religion, but a complete system of life. Excerpts from Dr. Peter Hammond’s book (Slavery, Terrorism, and Islam) are chilling:

As the Muslim population remains under 2%, they will normally be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not a threat to other citizens. The US (1% Muslim), Canada (1%), and China (1.8%) fall into that category.

At 2-5%, they begin to proselytize to other ethnic minorities, jailed inmates, and street gangs. The UK (2.7%), Germany (3.7%), and Spain (4%) are there. From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves. The minority Muslim populations live in 100% Muslim ghettos under Sharia law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. Switzerland (4.3%), Netherlands (5.5%), and France (8%) are prime examples.

At this point, they will work to get self-rule (within their ghettos) under Sharia. When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam with opposition to Mohammed cartoons. Tensions are seen daily in Muslim sections of India (13.4%), Russia (15%), and Israel (16%).

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burning of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues such as in Ethiopia (32.8%).

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare such as Bosnia (40%), Chad (53.1%), and Lebanon (59.7%). From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers, sporadic ethnic cleansing, use of Sharia and Jizya (tax placed on infidels), such as in Malaysia (60.4%), Sudan (70%), and Qatar (77.5%).

After 80%, expect daily intimidation as these nations drive out infidels, such as has been experienced and in some ways is going on at Egypt (90%), Iran (98%), and Palestine (99%). Reaching 100% will usher in “Dar es-Salaam”. Ultimately, peace is never achieved and the most radical Muslims kill less radical Muslims for a variety of reasons.

One must understand that the vast majority of Muslims aren’t extremists. Tellingly, a OneNewsNow poll (5/07) asked 8200 Americans “Are US Muslim leaders sincere about discouraging terrorism in the name of Islam?” Of the respondents, 4% said “yes”, 19% said “I don’t know”, and 77% said “no”.

Irshad Manji (Fellow/ European Foundation for Democracy) says “By their denial, moderates abandon the ground of theological interpretation to those with malignant intentions.” He says that mainstream Muslims won’t challenge the fanatics with competing interpretations. “To do that would be admitting that [religious teachings are] a factor. Moderate Muslims can’t go there.” Dr. Tawfik Hamid (former member Islamist terrorist organization Jemmah Islamiya) said, “It is vital to grasp that traditional and even mainstream Islamic teaching accepts and promotes violence.”

Perhaps Benjamin Netanyahu summed it best: “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.” Maybe Jesus’ words “There can be no greater love than a person who lays his life down for a friend” was more powerful than we know.

Guardasil—The First Step Towards Universal Healthcare

Remember when the Founding Fathers wanted to keep government out of citizen’s lives as much as possible? They would have probably turned over in their grave to know that The columnsT1/5 of the American economy could be based on government healthcare. One party seems to want Universal Healthcare as part of the government. They want to open the door. The best example to date—Merck Corporation. The product—Guardasil. 

Per Star Parker (TownHall) Milton Friedman/economist explained that the person buying healthcare is most often the person not paying for it—usually insurance companies, or the government. According to the Wall Street Journal, the government now pays for 45% of our heath care bills--including Medicare.

Just recently, Merck announced that it was eliminating its nationwide lobbying campaign to mandate that preteen schoolgirls (9-13) receive Guardasil. Before that Texas, Massachusetts, Virginia, and New Jersey had already mandated the vaccine, and 38 other states were considering it as a prerequisite for school attendance.

Maybe the unresolved questions regarding efficacy and safety were an influence. In July, CBS Evening News ran a story about how Judicial Watch had obtained more than 8000 adverse events reports about Guardasil under the Freedom of Information law.  They included severe headaches, dizziness, temporary loss of vision, grand-mal seizures, spontaneous abortions, and contractions of Guillain-Barr Syndrome.

The NVIC (National Vaccine Information Center) reported the same adverse events as Judicial Watch.  But the government still wanted to mandate use of Guardasil. Unnoticed was the fact that the NVIC had determined annual pap smears curbed cervical cancer 74% between 1955 and 1992. 

Guardasil is thought to be effective for up to 5 years, followed by booster shots. But Merck has never have mentioned that the drug does not protect against Chlamydia, herpes, hepatitis, trichomaniasis, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted diseases. But the mainstream media has called it a cancer vaccine.

Actually, it is a vaccine that prevents HPV (human papillomavirus) which has some strains that may cause cervical cancer.  Per Thaddeus Baklinski (LifeNews), Cynthia Janak (researcher) had found evidence in the FDA’s documentation revealing they knew that HPV is not the actual cause of cervical cancer, but a “persistent HPV infection that may act as a tumor promoter in cancer induction.” She went on to say, “Most infections are short lived and not associated with cervical cancer”.

Bottom line is about 90% of HPV infections simply clear up within two years. But we know the infection is not the problem that a good immune system can’t handle. One can pay ~$400 for an initial 3-shot regimen, however. It is supposed to be good for only ~70% of HPV viruses. But over 40 states wanted the government to mandate the shots.

One could also realize that ~3700 US women died of cervical cancer in 2006 (National Cancer Institute). But it’s also known that 36,000 US citizens/year die from the flu (Center for Disease Control). In comparison, 178,480 American women this year will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 40,460 will die. (CDC)

It is more than eye-opening, before its approval in 2006, only 1200 young girls were tested for compatibility to Guardasil, along with a few thousand others (REALity; Sept/Oct 2007, p.5). Nobody knows its long-term consequences. The manufacturer admits this (Landolt/ LifeNews), and agrees that it does not know its effect on girls’ immune systems, cancer risks, reproductive systems, or possible genetic effects.

Remember, if you can’t afford it, the government (i.e., taxpayers) will pay for it. Star Parker (TownHall) puts Universal Healthcare into perspective: “If you don’t know the price tag of what you are buying, how can you know how much to buy?”

Ten deaths have been reported since September 2007. The total is now 18 since the FDA approval in 2006. That puts this vaccine at causing one death per month. The incredible thing is, even though its approval was ‘pushed’ through, few girls were actually tested, no one really knows the long-term affects, it only works for ~70% of HPV cases, they believe people prefer multiple shots to their own immune system, it’s 8x the cost of a measles vaccine, it’s being used as a substitute for an annual pap smear, and it’s assumed these girls will become sexually active before 17. But the ones that don’t will still need the injections according to the government.

Universal Healthcare—it’s a wonderful thing. Only the government could think up something like Guardasil, and make the user and taxpayers pay through the teeth for the product, with that kind of a track record.

You can even get Universal Healthcare by voting for one particular presidential candidate. The problem is, if you feed the beast (government) long enough (with taxes), the beast may come back to bite you—hard.
