"From My Cold, Dead Hands"

"From My Cold, Dead Hands”

By John W. Lillpop

Rebounding smartly from horrific rulings that protect terrorists at Gutamano Bay and child rapists here at home, the United States Supreme Court has redeemed itself, at least partially.

By refusing to delay erection of the fence at the US-Mexico border and by upholding the Constitutional right of Americans to bear arms as set forth in the 2nd Amendment, the Court has restored a measure of confidence in their ability to act on behalf of the American people.

Today’s ruling against unlawful gun meddling is particularly sweet and should be enormously helpful in thwarting liberals on gun control from this point forward.

Affirmation of gun ownership as a basic American right also provides another fitting, final tribute to Charlton Heston and the noble cause that he championed. Heston, who passed away on April 5, would be greatly encouraged to know that attempts to pry weapons “from my cold, dead hands” were put to rest, with great finality, by the highest court in the land.

Of course, there are some on the very far left who are unwilling, or unable, to accept the bitter pill that has been dealt their anti-Bill of Rights agenda when it come to guns.

For example, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the following after the ruling:

“I think it still allows the District of Columbia to come forward with a law that’s less pervasive,” Pelosi said at her weekly briefing Thursday. “I think the court left a lot of room to run in terms of concealed weapons and guns near schools.”

Brief:
http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2008/06/26/pelosi-says-dc-should-continue-gun-regulation/

Pelosi is obviously still in a state of shock and or denial. Furthermore, her statement is curious given the recent history of gun control in Pelosi’s hometown of San Francisco.

In 2005, San Francisco voters passed Measure H, which would have forbidden residents from owning hand guns. If H had been implemented, only law-abiding residents would have been disarmed, because criminals would simply ignore the law. That, by definition, is what criminals do!

Common sense eventually prevailed in this case as well, as the California Supreme Court ruled unanimously against Measure H, thereby aborting this foolish bit of chicanery by liberal

troublemakers.

Bottom Line: Liberals like Nancy Pelosi must be forced to accept that gun ownership is a basic tenet of American democracy, and is among the most cherished freedoms and liberties enjoyed by American citizens.

Madam Speaker, unlike the fabricated, non-existent right to have an abortion, the right to bear arms is specifically identified in the Bill of Rights, second only to free speech as a fundamental of American democracy.

That is the case, whether you like it or not.

Do not even attempt to deny or tamper with the second Amendment rights of American patriots!

And by the way, Happy Independence Day!

Primitive Fossil Discovery is Nothing New

Primitive Fossil Discovery is Nothing New

by

Rob Hood

There was an article that appeared on YAHOO! news on June 25, 2008 about the discovery of a primitive fossil of a four legged creature. The reported stated that it’s estimated age was around 365 million years old and that the fossil could help scientists in their effort to figure out when fish evolved enough to walk onto land.

The article is interesting, but comical to anyone who has studied Biology and then studied any type of creation science. First of all, the whole earth is not 365 million years old. There are two distinct ways that creation scientists come to this conclusion. One is direct genealogy given in the Bible from the time of Jesus backward to the time of Noah. Other ways are more scientific and involve geology. Either way the conclusion comes to the same figure of the earth’s age of about 6,000 to 10,000 years old.

Microevolution, or adaptation is believable, but molecules to man evolution is mathematically and scientifically impossible. One animal does not turn into a different animal altogether over time, not matter if the time period was 100 trillion centuries. It is just not possible.

Discoveries like this are exciting in the sense that we know what once existed, but has nothing to do with so called evolution. Most animals more than likely drowned in the flood of Noah. Afterwards, large animals like dinosaurs and other extinct creatures probably went extinct for a number of reasons including scarce food supply, totally changed climate (probably ice age shortly after the flood), we hunted for food/clothing by increasing numbers and tribes of humans / other predators, etc.

Scientists are free to make claims like this since freedom has few boundaries in the science world, but when talking about molecules to man evolution, then the subject changes from science to science fiction. People who read their Bibles and claim that evolution is real are very confused indeed. Evolution involves survival of the fittest, natural selection, and one ingredient that messes the whole thing up - DEATH! Either the Bible is right about a literal creation a short time ago and that death did not occur before man sinned, or evolution is real and the Bible is wrong. These are the only two choices. There is no middle ground. Please pick A or B. There is no C. Either one is right and the other is wrong. Evolution contradict the entire Gospel message, while the Gospel message backs up creation by shedding light on the fact that Jesus came here to die because of what happened shortly after man sinned and death entered into the world. Evolution is a good fairy tail that cannot be taken seriously by the church. I encourage anyone doubting creationism to step back from secular society temporarily and do the research. You might be surprised what you learn about God’s created universe.

“Sound-off on License Plates” sounded very “Pro-Death”

“Sound-off on License Plates” sounded very “Pro-Death” by Kevin Roeten

Let’s get real--but real fast. A recent column by a Charlotte Observer opinion writer wanted input about the House Committee’s recent actions. They approved a measure to allow tar-heel motorists to purchase a license tag that reads “pro-life”. The legislature may provide the final “yes” vote shortly.

Bottom line on similar plates already OK’d in South Carolina that say “I Believe”—are claimed to endorse Christianity. Actually, Christianity is not a religion, just a general belief. No particular religion is being endorsed like Catholicism, and certainly no one will be given a ticket for not having a plate that reads “I Believe”.

The fact is most of the founders of this country were Christian, every state has acknowledged God in their constitutions, and every past president has acknowledged God in acceptance speeches. Fifty-two of the fifty-five founders of the Constitution were members of established orthodox churches in the colonies, and twenty-six had seminary degrees.  We are a Christian nation, just as Saudi Arabia is a Muslim country, and China is Buddhist.

As mentioned, South Carolina already offers about 200 specialty plates. Is SC forcing anyone to follow those beliefs on their plates? Have they decided which of those 200 plates should be a state religion? Please let the author know when that happens. At that point, the Constitution will be forfeit.

The last time someone checked, plates saying “I Believe” and “Pro-Life” certainly did not indicate for which party to vote, for what candidate to vote, or what political agenda to follow. And certainly someone needs to let that Charlotte Observer columnist know that using terms such as “abortion rights” and “anti-abortion” directly indicate his party preference. Maybe if he used the correct terms “pro-death” and “pro-life”, he could at least cloud his obvious preferences.

Oh wait, using correct terminology like that indicates “endorsement” of a party, right?

Why Do Doctors Withhold Abortion Risks?

Why Do Doctors Withhold Abortion Risks? by Kevin Roeten

On every medical procedure done, 95% of recipients want to be fully informed of all statistically related risks (1). If the author is replacing his knee, he would want to know the expected recovery time, pain to expect, pain duration, prosthesis lifetime, possible complications, and possible problems with a metal detector.

This demand occurs even if the casual connection between the procedure and the risk has not been fully proven. But not abortion. It would eliminate business. This procedure is not required for the patient’s life, even if it destroys another life. Are the risks are worth it?

A fact noted in (2), 10% of women undergoing elective abortion will suffer the immediate complications of perforation of the uterus, infection, embolism, retained tissue, hemorrhage, cervical injury, endotoxic shock, “boggy” uterus, or failure to recognize an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Tubal pregnancies increase by 30% after one abortion—by 160% after two (5).

In another study (3), over 50% of women experienced one or more of the following after abortions: depression, guilt, regret, nervousness, and insomnia. Sleep (4) shows that women are 2x as likely to have sleep disorders after an abortion.

From (6) an abortion results in a 65% higher risk (compared to no abortion) of Clinical Depression, in (7) a 30% higher risk of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (according to BMC Psychiatry, women who have had an abortion typically experience post-traumatic stress disorder[PTSD]), in (8) a 5x higher risk of substance abuse, in (9 & 15) a 160% higher risk of hospitalization for psychiatric treatment, in (10) a 62% higher risk of death from all causes(6x higher risk of suicide), in (11) drug abuse during subsequent pregnancies 5x more likely, with any abortion (12) an increased risk of a future miscarriage by 60%, and in (13) Placenta Privia (the risk of life-threatening bleeding during future pregnancies) is increased 600%.

Even worse, an analysis of 38 studies showed a 30% overall increased risk of breast cancer after an abortion (14). And that risk increases to 90% for abortions to young women after 18 weeks, and to 150% if the woman is under 18. Per (15), 144% of abortive women were more likely to abuse their children than those who did not have an abortion.

Before the 1960’s, the medical community was in agreement that “almost without exception, abortion inevitably causes trauma, posing a severe threat to psychological health.”(Mary Zimmerman; Psychological and Emotional Consequences of Elective Abortion). But with the fear of a population explosion, the sexual revolution, and the rise of feminism, the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Psychological Association reversed their opposition to abortion.

Not many would allow their daughter to be exposed to these chances with her life. If one actually calculates the probability of one or more of these disorders affecting a woman after an abortion, the answer is ~ “1”. Just accessing the internet under “abortion complications” one immediately gets 168,000 hits. The probability listed here is only the tip of the iceberg.

In other words, it will likely happen—just when, how severe, and how many, are the only questions. Sounds like a knee replacement would be significantly less risky, and still preserve “life”.

Of course, the most important element here would be the woman’s eternal soul. Without the necessary forgiveness for an abortion, it will likely be quite bad. But many of us only think only a few years down the road.

A Great Waste of Taxpayer Money

A Great Waste of Taxpayer Money

by

Rob Hood

In the last several years the American space program has been working on “finding life” throughout the universe by starting with Mars. This mysterious planet has captured the imagination of many scientists, astronomers, and average stargazers. Hubble looks deep into space and sends back phenomenal photographs of far away places that man could only wish to see and perhaps, even visit.

Last week the announcement came that the Mars Rover had captured photos of a material on Mars that had characteristics of ice. This announcement was not shocking since that was what NASA sent the craft there to do in the first place. Ice, or frozen water, according to NASA and other scientists is the essential ingredient for life.

Well, I agree and at the same time, disagree. Sure water is necessary to sustain life, but life does not come from water, hence the wastefulness of the money for this program. NASA has an enormous budget to run the space program and some programs are needed, but this is not one of them.

I have four year old kids in my church that could tell you where life originated. If people would bother to accept the fact that everything in existence is created by an omnipotent God then, we would not need to waste money searching for an answer that even small children already know.

Mars is a desert planet and perhaps there is ice and maybe even water there. So what? Who cares? It’s water! That doesn’t mean a thing. Life originated on Earth when God spoke it into existence and there is no need in wasting billions of dollars of taxpayer money searching for an answer that is based upon faulty evolutionary ideas.

The same billions of dollars that goes into these hopeless projects to look for water on Mars or other places could be better spent. We people of Earth need new bridges, new highways, new dams. We could use the money to feed people, fight disease, rebuild our infrastructure, research cancer (ethically, of course), and to help those who have little or no clothing, shelter, food, etc. I am not calling for socialism, but helping people in real need is money better spent. I would rather give people in Africa fresh water, than find fresh water on a desolate planet that offers us nothing in return but wasted time, resources, and money.

I have nothing against NASA. Some of the smartest engineers and scientists on earth work there and do many good things, but looking for water is useless because water does not create life. God does, and only He has the power and authority to do it.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:15-17)

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

Leahy Throws down the Gauntlet on Judicial Nominees

Leahy Throws down the Gauntlet on Judicial Nominees

Bipartisanship no longer exists. The compromise of the two opposing parties seems insurmountable. Will a government shut down with the looming disagreements in the most powerful elected body in the country (the Senate)? Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy (D/Vt), Chairman of the Judicial Committee, gave his word that at least 3 more nominees would receive votes by Memorial Day. He reneged.

Robert Conrad, was nominated to the US Court of Appeals, and received the American Bar Association’s highest rating of “well qualified”. He is considered one of 19 judicial emergencies by the Judicial Conference of the United States. But Leahy has purposely stalled Conrad’s nomination since 7/17/07.

The Court of Appeals declares a judicial emergency when the amount of filings becomes unmanageable (>700), or if the vacancy exists for more than 18 months (filings >500). The emergency affects the people because there are not enough judges to handle the caseload.

Peter Keisler was nominated to the US Court of Appeals for the Columbia Circuit 630 days ago. Same ABA recommendation. Mr. Keisler has argued before the Supreme Court, and was a member of the Department of Justice, and responsible for their largest litigating division.

Some judges with the same credentials and waiting times include Richard Honaker, Charles Pickering, and Leslie Southwick. The wait was too long, and they are now in different endeavors. It seems that appointed nominees to the judiciary were made a disposable political tool because they may be pro-life. They requested a simple up-and-down vote. Not allowed by Leahy.

Despite a mostly Democrat senate, Leahy knows these judges would likely be voted in anyway. He believes it is important for Democrats to confirm the fewest judges until the
leadership is supposedly changed this November.

As can be checked, a total of 15 circuit court judges were confirmed during the Clinton Administration, but only 6 during Bush’s tenure. In an op-ed for National Review Online, Senator Orrin Hatch said: “I have voted against only 5 of the more than 1500 nominees to life-tenured judicial positions that the full Senate has considered since I was first elected. Some Democrat[ic] senators, including those with far less seniority, have voted against more than three times as many nominees of the current president alone.”

In a supposedly non-partisan action, Democrats seemed to have shoved aside professional qualifications to measure against the litmus test of pro-life. With the gauntlet now being proverbially thrown down by the Democrats, we could expect a serious “tit for tat”.

What about a total government shutdown over some miniscule procedural rule? No, Democrats did that during a previous administration. What about earmarks, pork spending, or more taxes? No, Democrats have done those numerous times, and probably plan something quite drastic when the vote to continue the existing tax cuts comes up in 2010.

What about a vacation walkout when an important re-vote comes along? No, Democrats (along with Nancy Pelosi) already have done that when the FISA Protect America Act came up to be re-instated. Somehow they fed the American public the monitoring of a very small percentage of international calls was not worth more domestic terrorist attacks.

What about a rule that the American public can just fire a Senator or Representative they think is doing a poor job? No, unfortunately a majority Democrat Congress would never let that even be voted on…

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Your Presidential Vote Should Be Obvious...

Your Presidential Vote Should Be Obvious by Kevin Roeten

With two unpromising candidates for election, many may not vote. But priorities are uncompromising. In this election, priorities dictate the correct candidate. If you say you are really Catholic, and you are for the Constitution, you can only vote one way. It’s a massive blunder if you think all issues have the same weight.

One makes himself a viable candidate this election by endorsing our most sacred principle. For those history-impaired individuals, it was specified in the Declaration of Independence (1776) and listed first---the right to “life”.

One candidate supports life. The other believes abortion to be right. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) enumerates 5 “non-negotiables” concerning life. They are all considered intrinsically evil—that is, evil every time it is attempted. Abortion is listed first.

The signers of the Declaration considered “life” of utmost importance. So does the USCCB, and many other organizations. In fact, the USCCB actually states that any Catholic has incurred latae sententiae (automatic) excommunication if he votes for a candidate who supports abortion (Code of Canon Law #1364, 1398, and 1329).

McCain insists he will nominate judges to the Supreme Court who are most like Alito and Roberts. Both are fully against abortion, and will not ‘interpret’ the Constitution. Obama guarantees that abortion will always exist, and even discussed the “punishment” of having an unwanted child.

Of all issues, “life” is the most important. If Obama is elected it would be many years before a pro-life majority in the SC could overturn Roe vs. Wade. You cannot vote pro-abortion and be Catholic at the same time.

Your vote will dictate several things: 1) your priorities, and if “life” is considered first, 2) if one understands all issues have different weights, with abortion the highest, 3) you understand after abortion, all other issues are moot because the individual is dead, 4) if you are OK with all the deaths due to Roe vs. Wade, and 5) whether you are truly Catholic or not.

If you are not pro-life as 1st priority, there are probably several jobs you should not do—a policeman, a fireman, most politicians, a teacher, a minister, and very likely a parent. It’s a given that a vote for a Democrat president in November would not make you a Catholic. Even if you were in name only, you would likely be excommunicated.

McCain and Obama have come out on top after months of haggling. Many citizens should be highly upset with the obtuse citizenry who put these candidates in the primaries. For one, both candidates are for enacting more global warming regulations.

McCain and Obama support the Lieberman-Warner bill that will impose a $1.2 trillion tax on the American people. The CBO (Congressional Budget Office) shows Lieberman-Warner raising gas prices well over $1.00/gal by 2030. This bill alone will create the largest expansion of the federal government since FDR’s New Deal. Ignoring the fact recent data showing temperatures have actually dropped during the last 10 years, and the sun’s variability controls temperatures, makes manmade global warming unrealistic. By 2020 cooler temperatures will have global warmers cowering under their blankets.

This is an important issue, but not the most important. How many are not voting, or voting for a third party in November, because none of the candidates are in line with their beliefs? But they shouldn’t be mad at the remaining candidates. Blame the voters.

A presidential Democrat vote in November would mean you are voting for at least 1.3 million deaths per year in America by abortion. The lines are being drawn by the voters. Some have no problem killing, as long as the woman doesn’t see it, or it might feel no pain, or maybe it is unwanted. People forget about the “soul”. But some people wanted the sex more.

Have we, as humans actually evolved, or devolved?

Cold facts on global warming...

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK

Surrendering The Secret

---------------------

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

Was the Iraq War Worth It?...

Was the Iraq War Worth It?
By Jeff Lukens

They say if it bleeds, it leads on the nightly news. The recent silence from the mainstream news media on Iraq, however, is speaking volumes. While the war remains unpopular, our success there has been unmistakable. The Iraqi people, with the help of the U.S. led coalition, have succeeded in establishing the world’s first Arab democracy. Their achievement is a milestone in the war on terror and for the cause of liberty.

Beyond the Iraqi Constitution and the elections, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has emerged as the true leader of the governing coalition. He has battled and won against fellow Shiite and problem child Muqtada al-Sadr and his militia. The Sunni, Shiite and Kurd people work together in a national Iraqi Army. Together, they are taking their county back from the foreign insurgents that have invaded their homeland. Iraqi troops took the lead in clearing Basra and Sadr City, and are now finishing off the insurgent remnants.

No one likes to go to war, but even an elective war is sometimes necessary. With all the consternation these past years, President Bush may finally be able to say “Mission Accomplished” to what he originally set out to do.

This we know, Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction. He even gassed his own Kurd and Shiite populations in the 1980s. What happened to those chemical weapons? Who knows? Whether they buried them in the ground somewhere or trucked off to Syria, we had every reason to believe he had them.

In the months leading up to the war, Saddam acted as if he were hiding a nuclear program by obstructing UN inspectors visiting his installations. We have since concluded that his nuclear program was still in its infancy, but we could not have known that then. Saddam’s power was in his bluff, but his bluff was called.

Following 9/11, we had to show we meant business in the fight on terror. Afghanistan fell quickly, but it was a sideshow. Look at any map of the Middle East and smack in the middle of it is Iraq. Think about it, if we could flip Iraq form a dictatorial state that sponsored terrorism to a democratic republic, there would be profound implications throughout the region. When most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi, we needed to show Saudi Arabia, as much as anyone, our resolve. Regime change in Iraq was militarily and politically feasible, so Iraq was where Bush chose to make his move.

Saddam fell quickly too, but the subsequent insurgency dragged on for another five years. Though our casualties have been mercifully low, the political angst against Bush has grown virulent. Maybe Bush could have handled the occupation better, and the war should have been over more quickly, but our reason to go there was strategically sound. Bush made the proper decision with the urgency of 9/11 still fresh, and with the information available to him at that time.

In the early years of the Civil War, Lincoln lost battle after battle with a revolving door of generals who could not or would not fight Robert E. Lee. Lincoln finally found his general with Ulysses S. Grant who took after Lee’s army and ground it down.

Bush had a similar problem with Don Rumsfeld and generals who would not adapt to insurgents who did not wear uniforms and hid among the people. Bush finally replaced Rumsfeld and found his Generals in David Petraeus and Ray Odierno. The counterinsurgency strategy they employed made quick work of our enemies in Iraq.

Back in the U.S., however, liberal opposition to the war has at times reached hysterical levels and threatened to unravel all that we sought to achieve. Some things do not change. They have been acting this way since our days in Vietnam. And like our experience there, instead of finding ways to win they sought the worst possible outcome by unilateral surrender.

Liberals have never considered Bush a legitimate president. They have never gotten over the myth that the 2000 election was stolen. For them, Bush’s decision to enter into an elective war that took longer than expected was just too much. His presidency is too emotional a subject for them, and reasoning with them about any aspect of it has become nearly impossible. But for anyone who still cares and is willing to listen, what we are seeing in Iraq today is exactly what we set out to accomplish from the beginning—establish a beachhead for democracy in the Middle East.

Before the war, state sponsors of terrorism in the Middle East were Iran, Syria, Libya and Iraq. Today, only Iran and Syria remain—with a democratic Iraq located between them. And in the information age, don’t believe for a moment that the infectious seeds of freedom are not being sown in those countries and throughout the region. The promise of freedom for the oppressed is America’s greatest strategic weapon in this war. In due time, tyrants in those countries may come to fear their own people more than any army that may threaten them.

We must remember that the struggle in Iraq is only one campaign in the larger global war on terror. History will intimately judge, but yes, early indications are that President Bush’s victory was a worthy step in that overall goal.

Radical Islam is at war with the civilized world because of our tolerant values toward women, different lifestyles and different religions. For Americans, understanding the threat posed by this enemy, finding ways to triumph over them, and mobilizing public opinion to support that effort remain as challenges for the years ahead.

Looking at the Souls of Aborted Bodies ...

Looking at the Souls of Aborted Bodies by Kevin Roeten

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) doesn’t seem to be the panacea for birth for those wanting a baby. If this bursts your bubble, then maybe you’re uninformed.  “In Vitro” specifically means in a test tube, or Petri dish.

Typically a number of eggs are ‘harvested’ from a woman, put in an artificial environment, fertilized by sperm, and then transferred back to the woman for gestation. Many say our action of creating life should be commended. Only problem is that we’re creating life from the deaths of multiple others.

According to the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (Woodstock, Ga.) 170,000 fertilized human embryos created in 1999 alone, died in the process of attempting to conceive a child via in vitro fertilization. And, IVF is much more common today than in 1999. From the Department of Health (Connolly/LifeNews), over 1 million embryonic children were killed in the UK in the past 14 years as “waste” embryos from IVF processes. The UK is only 20% of the US population.

But one must decide when life actually starts. Logic dictates when a living embryo has obtained the 46 necessary chromosomes for humanity, when an embryo receives “instructions” as to what sex she/he will be, what hair color they will have, the level of intelligence, the ability to be able to make independent decisions—all determine when “life” actually begins. And, almost all medical journals say exactly the same thing—this is when life starts when an egg has been fertilized.

Since over 85% of us realize there’s a soul included as well, it’s only logical to believe this is the time a soul is imbued in the growing embryo. When one thinks about it, any other time would be illogical. So when one hears that some IVF treatments actually use 40 fertilized eggs to produce one baby, one wonders what happened to those 39 other souls?

In IVF, only about 20% of the fertilized embryos are considered strong enough to be implanted in a woman. The rest are usually destroyed. The Ottawa Health Research Institute (OHRI) has publicly admitted that <10% of human embryos survive to birth in IVF.

Frozen embryos typically die after ten years. The “Snowflake” organization now has legal permission to embryo-adopt some of the waste embryos that doctors have judged not to be viable. This has led to the birth of 157 healthy babies.

OHRI determined a chemical was discovered that overcomes the artificially created embryos’ proneness to death. But this inherent instability pressures IVF practitioners to implant multiple embryos in the hopes that one will be born alive. If multiples do grow from IVF implantation, women are usually asked to undergo ‘reduction’ which involves killing one or more of the siblings.

In addition, Dr. Marjo Jarvelin (Imperial College of London) says the IVF mother is at higher risk with multiple implantations, and other clinical problems such as gestational toxemia, and Ovum Stimulation Syndrome (Caused by medication used to stimulate the ovaries during the IVF process, which can be “quite dangerous”.)

It seems God speaks to us many ways without having to thunder down from the sky. In the 6/21/07 issue of Human Reproduction, it was revealed on average a child conceived through IVF was in a hospital significantly more times (1.76 vs. 1.07) than a naturally conceived child. It was also shown that certain disease groups (infections, respiratory, inflammation) were more common among those born after IVF.

Newer findings show those conceived though IVF have a higher risk of deformity, cerebral palsy, higher mortality rates, and “ambiguous genitalia”.  Generally during the seven year period studied, 61% of the singleton IVF children were hospitalized, versus 46% of the naturally conceived singletons. With two good ears, we can be so deaf to God.

When you count the number of people lost from the pill, the morning-after pill (both reject fertilized ovum with a uterus inhospitable for implantation), and the number of straight abortions in the whole of time, you get well over a billion souls that have been ‘wasted’ to date. Right after mortal death, you’d wonder how one feels when looking into the eyes of a billion souls?
