The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore
was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. 
He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right
to practice law in Alabama .  The judge’s poem sums it up quite well.

America the Beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims’ pride;
I’m glad they’ll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,

Although Democrats constantly promote themselves as champions of the less fortunate and the powerless, the truth is that there is there is damn little fight in liberals when it comes to the truly vulnerable and defenseless.

That would, of course, be the unborn.

Liberal disdain for the unborn was again obvious on April 18 when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the inhumane procedure known as partial-birth abortion.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) reiterated the liberal mantra on abortion by blasting the court’s decision in a press release reading as follows:

“This decision marks a dramatic departure from four decades of Supreme Court rulings that upheld a woman’s right to choose and recognized the importance of women’s health. Today’s decision blatantly defies the Court’s recent decision in 2000 striking down a state partial-birth abortion law because of its failure to provide an exception for the health of the mother. As the Supreme Court recognized in Roe v. Wade in 1973, this issue is complex and highly personal; the rights and lives of women must be taken into account. It is precisely this erosion of our constitutional rights that I warned against when I opposed the nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito.”

In other words, according to liberals like Hillary, women have a “constitutional right” to kill a fetus that is close to birth.

Those same liberals will argue that it is “cruel and unusual” to stick a needle into a brutal serial killer in order to deliver justice.

Think about: What could possibly be more “cruel and unusual” than crushing the skull of an unborn fetus in order to prevent the miracle of birth?

VirginiaTech - A Prime Example of a Fallen Creation

The shooting at VirginiaTech was one of the worst tragedies that I have witnessed. I do believe it comes in second place to September 11 as a major shock to America. As many look for answers as to why the gunman would take so many innocent lives, we have to realize that we still live in a fallen world. We live in a world without hope and without promise of safety. Our safety, comfort, and hope fled after the Fall of Eden when mankind allowed Satan to take hold control of life. We live in a world where we are in constant threat from outside sources, whether from terrorism, crazed gunmen, disease, or war, we all face the same ultimate feelings of despair, but we don’t have to. The young man who took the lives of these people was troubled and no doubt did not know about God nor the saving power of His son Jesus Christ. Those of us who are saved and face tragedies of this magnitude still have feelings of grief, but we ultimately know that one day, when the Lord returns, we will see our loved ones again. We know that one day evil will be banished from existence in a lake of fire. Never again will we have to face tragedy, disease, war, death, famine, nor any other thing caused by the consequences that came upon mankind after the Fall. We know that eternity will be secured and life will never again be able to be taken away by anyone or anything. While we may feel anger, despair, and grief for the moment, we can look to One who can provide salvation, love, and hope for eternity - Jesus Christ.

My prayers sincerely go out to the families who lost dear loved ones on April 16, 2007 at VirginiaTech!

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ Then they remembered his words.

THE PLAN OF SALVATION

If you died tonight where would you go? Would you go to heaven? There is a way to be sure that you will be in Heaven. It’s god plan of salvation. It is a free gift from God and all you have to do is receive it:

God loves you and wants you to have eternal life. (John 3:16, 10:10)

You are a sinner in need of forgiveness. You are separated from God and will face his judgment. (Romans 3:23, 6:23, Hebrews 9:27)

God wants to forgive you and has shown His love for you by sending His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins. He paid our sin debt with His blood. (Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18)

To be forgiven you must repent and turn away from your sins. (Luke 13:5, Ephesians 2:8-9)

You must place your faith in Jesus. He is the ONLY way to receive forgiveness and inherit eternal life. (Acts 20:21, John 14:6)

You can receive Jesus through prayer. (Revelation 3:20, Romans 10: 9-19)

It could be a simple prayer similar to this:

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and have displeased you in many ways. I believe you died on the cross to save me from my sins and were resurrected on the third day so that I may have eternal life. Will you please forgive me for my sins? I want to turn from my sins and ask you to come into my life as my Lord and personal Savior. From now on I will live a life pleasing to you. Thank you for your grace, love, and forgiveness. Amen!

If you have made this decision, go to church Sunday and make a public profession of faith in Christ and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism and church membership.

This is the most important decision you’ll ever make. It will decide where you will spend eternity. No one knows if they will be here tomorrow. If Jesus comes back tonight or if something happens to you and you die today and you have not trusted Jesus, it will be too late! It’s very important that you trust Him NOW because you may never get another chance. Tomorrow may never come!

Real Hate Crimes....

Real Hate Crimes

In recent years, it’s become fashionable in America to talk about the need to stop hate crimes.  But, all too often, “hate crimes” are defined as speech which questions the legitimacy of the homosexual lifestyle.

True hate crimes, however, are acts of violence perpetrated without cause but with a tremendous amount of malice.  A perfect example of this is something that happened in Florida recently.A couple of thugs attacked a homeless man, causing him to sustain serious bruises.  What makes the incident newsworthy is that the assailants were ten years old.

At an age when boys should be playing soccer, hunting for earthworms, and camping under the stars, our male children are instead getting their kicks by beating up the already-downtrodden.  CNN is reporting that, last year alone, there were 142 attacks against and murders of homeless people.  Often, those responsible for the violence were young people looking for a cheap, disgusting thrill. 

As one observer told CNN, “If we’re talking about 10-year-olds, that means we’ve hit an all-time low.  The youngest person to have ever been arrested for a crime like this is 13.”
Both liberals and conservatives can agree that such street violence is an atrocity—especially when the culprits can barely see over the steering wheel of a car.  However, the solutions proposed in the face of such violence differ widely, depending on where you sit on the political spectrum.

Liberals would have us believe that the answer to such decadence is more money for public schools, diversity training, and midnight basketball.  Conservatives, however, are likely to give a much different response.

To begin with, the conservative sees violence as being the opposite of love and the God who is love.  The conservative reasons that, when prayer was taken out of schools, God was too.  Since nature abhors a vacuum, hate filled the space that should have been occupied by love of neighbor.

A young person who can’t even check in with God at the place that he spends the majority of his day isn’t likely to ooze compassion to other people—especially the poor.  A heart which lacks prayer is a heart which lacks love.

The conservative also knows that young people believe life is cheap.  For this we can credit the abortion-at-all-costs crowd, who never met an abortion they didn’t embrace.  Young people are smart—they know that abortion is murder.  And they figure, if you can go ahead and end the life of a baby in the womb, what’s to stop you from clobbering the homeless guy down the street?  Abortion is violence and violence always begets violence. 
It was certainly a sad sight—10-year-olds wearing white jail jumpsuits that were far too large for them.  But these pathetic souls are not alone.

In 2005, four young people confessed to beating a homeless man to death in the Daytona Beach area.  They overpowered him with sticks and logs, fracturing his skull and breaking his ribs.  Is such a death any less vicious than a partial-birth abortion, in which an abortionist stabs a baby in the back of the head and collapses the skull? 

Meanwhile, Florida legislators are working on a measure that promises more protection for the homeless.  But for the homeless to truly be protected, we’d have to return to an America in which prayer is welcomed in public schools, the Ten Commandments are welcomed in courthouses, and legalized abortion is shown the door.
