Election Prayer...
One week from today is election day. Please be in prayer for this day. Please pray that God will intervene and show us the way that we should reflect the country that He allowed us to be a part of. Please pray for a miracle between now and election day that will motivate Christian Values Voters to go out and elect those who would best serve America as One Nation Under God instead of one nation without God. Please remember to pray for Values Voters to show their voices on November 7 so that America will still be One Nation Under God!
Please pray three times a day between now and election!

Protecting Marriage Is a Message for All
While America may be divided on the economy, Iraq, immigration and a host of other issues, there is one issue on which a large majority of Americans agree: the sanctity of marriage. Since the New Jersey Supreme Court ordered their state’s legislature to redefine marriage, President Bush has been on the campaign trail talking about protecting marriage - and the issue is by far getting the loudest and longest applause from his audiences. “For decades, activist judges have tried to redefine America by court order,” Bush said recently in Georgia. “Just this last week in New Jersey, another activist court issued a ruling that raises doubt about the institution of marriage. We believe marriage is a union between a man and a woman and should be defended.” As past votes on state marriage amendments show, the people care deeply about this issue. Unfortunately, many politicians seem reluctant to talk about the issue for fear of being labeled divisive or homophobic. However, the belief that marriage is solely reserved for one man and one woman crosses religious, racial and political lines. Marriage protection, more so than any other issue, has been building bridges in communities. I’m glad President Bush is making that point; other current and wannabe lawmakers should show the same common sense.

Don’t Turn Election Day into Fright Night
Today is Halloween; however the real scary night will be a week from today if you don’t remember to vote. On the ballot this year in many states are issues dealing with marriage, abortion, cloning and gambling. In states with these proposals, in fact in all states, it is important that your voice is heard. Every single vote counts. During the American Revolution a bill was presented to the Continental Congress that would have abolished English as the official American language in favor of German. The bill was defeated by one vote. In 1845, the Senate voted 26 to 25 to admit Texas to the union. Indiana’s Senator Hannigan changed his mind and voted in favor of its admission. And the Senator himself had won his election to office by only one vote. John F. Kennedy’s margin of victory over Richard Nixon in 1960 was less than one vote per precinct. And George W. Bush won the last election by just 5 electoral votes. By our not voting we are sending a very scary message to our kids that it is not important to be involved. Please share the linked video about why we should vote with your friends and your church. Also if you are able, arrange for rides for those who might not be able to make it to the polls. Most importantly: don’t forget to vote!

Dastardly Diversity
By Thomas E. Brewton
Diversity is another word battered beyond recognition by liberals and
progressives. Orwellian NewSpeak has made the word diversity into a bangalore
torpedo to undermine the defenses guarding civilized society.
Liberal-socialists, with our educational system in the vanguard, have made
diversity into an end in itself, a principle of materialistic social justice.
In education, for example, the goal of diversity is elevated to a higher status
than providing the best possible education for students. Diversity is, not an
educational principle, but a correlate to Lenin’s program to create the New
Soviet Man via material factors imposed by intellectuals. Students are somehow
to be made better by the corruption of a system that supposedly is devoted to
academic excellence.
As economist Thomas Sowell has so articulately observed many times, poorly
prepared students, of whatever race, gain nothing by being admitted to colleges
with academic standards beyond their reach. Either the better students are
held back, or the poorly prepared students are discouraged and eventually drop
out. Nothing is gained by the mendacity of liberal-progressive educators
giving every student a minimum grade of B. Victims of grade-inflation have
simply been set up for failure and embittered cynicism in real-world job
competition.
Less well prepared students can get a good education at colleges with less
stringent academic standards. Students who earn Bs and As in those colleges
can have the priceless gift of real self-respect based on their own hard work.
Diversity of the liberal-progressive stripe has disastrous consequences for the
survival of the United States. Economically we see its results in the widening
gap between linguistic, mathematical, and scientific competence of average
American graduates and their overseas counterparts. In an increasingly
technical world, the United States is suffering, not only from inflated
production costs arising from the welfare state and unionism, but from falling
behind in the innovation curve.
We can celebrate the diversity of our student bodies, but at the cost of fewer
and fewer Nobel Prizes for science awarded to Americans in the future, along
with more and more manufacturing transferred overseas.
At a more fundamental level, diversity is moral relativism masquerading as
virtue. Liberal-progressives paint diversity as a democratic principle of
equality. It is, in fact, the opposite. Rather than supporting an equal
opportunity on the basis of merit, the doctrine of diversity confers special
privileges based on non-essential factors such race and ethnicity.
Morality, a unifying factor essential for social survival, is replaced by the
selfishness implicit in diversity, which subtly teaches the view that
gratifying personal desires is more important than voluntarily working with
others for the common good.
If any culture, and any set of moral standards (except, of course, for those of
Judeo-Christianity), is as good as the next, why should we be surprised when
business executives behave as they did in Enron and Tyco? If highly-qualified
students are passed over in the college admission process for manifestly less
qualified students, only for reasons of diversity, how can qualified students
avoid cynicism about society’s rules?
The Latin roots of the word diversity mean to bend apart, to diverge, in other
words the opposite of unity. In that sense, diversity is opposed to the
concept of the United States itself: e pluribus unum, i.e., one nation from
many colonies and many peoples.
Had diversity in the liberal-progressive sense been the order of the day, there
would have been no War of Independence in 1776 and no Constitution in 1787-89.
The colonies would have remained independent units, relishing their diversity,
but unable to resist the tyranny imposed by Parliament and George III.
How did we fall off the tracks?
In the early decades of the 20th century, Columbia University sociologist Franz
Boas and his acolytes Ruth Benedict and Margaret Mead sold the modernist
intellectuals in Greenwich Village the socialistic hypothesis that cultures and
human behavior standards are relativistic and merely the product of their
surrounding material circumstances of economy and geography.
Materialistic factors Ð government regulation, income redistribution, and
education Ð were theoretically capable of perfecting society, but only if
society’s common cultural standards could first be removed. The unifying
characteristics that Tocqueville observed in Democracy in America in
1833 Ð the Christian religion and respect for tradition and the rule of law Ð
had to give way to the intellectual vision of a Brave New World.
Along with diversity, we got the doctrine of multi-cultural education in the
1970s.
Diversity as an iconic end in itself leaves us defenseless against La Raza’s
Reconquista movement to impose Hispanic culture and the Spanish language upon
the Southwestern and Western states and, ultimately, to separate them from the
United States and incorporate them into Mexico.
Worse, the doctrine of diversity supports the anti-Americanism rampant on
American college campuses. Making diversity an educational goal leaves
students convinced that 9/11 was our fault, that al Queda was merely redressing
justifiable grievances against the feeble vestiges of Judaism and Christianity
in our nation.
None of that is to disparage the multitudes of national, racial, ethnic, and
linguistic origins of our burgeoning population. It is to say rather that
those people coming here from so many different parts of the world do so to
enjoy the benefits of living in a nation unified by common understandings about
morality, private property rights, the rule of law, individual responsibility,
and the work ethic.
Far better than the liberal-progressive worship of diversity is returning to
the paradigm of the melting pot that prevailed at the beginning of the 20th
century. Let every national, ethnic, and language group proudly celebrate its
heritage and pass that heritage along to its children. But let all of us be
unified, not divided, as one nation seeking the common good.

Salvation...
The Plan of Salvation
If you died tonight where would you go? Would you go to heaven? There is a way to be sure that you will be in Heaven. It’s God’s plan of salvation. It is a free gift from God and all you have to do is receive it:
God loves you and wants you to have eternal life. (John 3:16, 10:10)
You are a sinner in need of forgiveness. You are separated from God and will face his judgment. (Romans 3:23, 6:23, Hebrews 9:27)
God wants to forgive you and has shown His love for you by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sins. He paid our sin debt with His blood. (Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18)
To be forgiven, you must repent and turn away from your sins. (Luke 13:5, Ephesians 2:8-9)
You must place your faith in Jesus. He is the ONLY way to receive forgiveness and inherit eternal life. (Acts 20:21, John 14:6)
You can receive Jesus through prayer. (Revelation 3:20, Romans 10:9-19)
It could be a simple prayer similar to this:
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and have displeased you in many ways. I believe you died on the cross to save me from my sins and were resurrected on the third day so that I may have eternal life. Will you please forgive me for my sins? I want to turn from my sins and ask you to come into my life as my Lord and personal Savior. From now on I will live a life pleasing to you. Thank you for your grace, love, and forgiveness. Amen!
If you have made this decision, go to church Sunday and make a public profession of faith in Christ and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism and church membership.
This is the most important decision you’ll ever make. It will decide where you will spend eternity. No one knows if they will be here tomorrow. If Jesus comes back tonight or if something happens to you and you die today and you have not trusted Jesus, it will be too late! It’s very important that you trust Him NOW because you may never get another chance. Tomorrow may never come!

Wasting Money...
Q: Is an Ivy League school really spending millions of dollars to prove there’s no God?
A: These days it seems as though everyone is jumping into the creation/evolution debate. Not wanting to be left out, Harvard announced a new multimillion dollar research project, the “Origins of Life in the Universe Initiative.” They’re setting aside $1 million a year to try to prove what they already believe.
Listen to what a Harvard professor of chemistry and chemical biology told the New York Times about the origin of life: “My expectation is that we will be able to reduce this to a very simple series of logical events that could have taken place with no divine intervention.”
For all the PhDs that Harvard may hand out—and for all the good science they may do—none of it is important when it comes to eternity. If they’re producing atheists, then what’s the point in the long run?
As Matthew 16 tells us, “What profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

Democrats Go On Record In Support Of Homosexual Marriage
New Jersey ruling only the tip of the iceberg
Activists pushing for legalizing homosexual marriage say they will not stop with just homosexual marriage. They demand more. They want government and societal acceptance, approval and financial support for many kinds of relationships, including polygamy. And the Democratic Party says it will help them achieve their goal.
Activists say that marriage is “not the only worthy form of family or relationship,” and it “should not be legally or economically privileged above others.” The statement was signed by 270 homosexual rights activists and heterosexual allies.
Other kinds of relationships that they say deserve marriage-like benefits include “committed, loving households in which there is more than one conjugal partner (polygamy)” and “queer couples who decide to jointly create and raise a child with another queer person or couple, in two households.” The goal of the activists is the destruction of traditional marriage.
The Democrat National Committee has developed plans to help the homosexual activists achieve their goal. Democratic National Committee (DNC) spokesman Danien LaVera says the DNC has developed a five-point plan to help homosexuals block any legislation which prohibits homosexual marriage, and to push homosexual marriage.
The first successful effort occurred in Illinois where the Democrats helped the activists keep the marriage protection law off the ballot in that state, including a donation of $10,000.
LaVera said the DNC strongly opposes efforts to ban homosexual marriage by amending the federal or state constitutions and that the Democratic party plans to step up efforts to promote pro-homosexual marriage bills in several states.
Democratic parties in eight states have already adopted platforms endorsing homosexual marriage bills. They include New York, California, Washington, Iowa, Alaska, Colorado, Massachusetts and Hawaii.
Here is the 5-point plan LaVera said the Democratic National Committee has developed to fight for homosexual marriage:
Labeling efforts to ban homosexual marriage as “divisive” ploys by the Republicans and others to deflect voter attention from other important issues...”
Begin a “party-building” operation which includes specific training for state Democratic operatives in all 50 states on how to campaign against ballot measures banning homosexual marriage.
Working closely with the gay group National Stonewall Democrats to “develop strategy and talking points’ to combat state measures defining marriage as being between one man and one woman.
Working cooperatively with homosexual organizations fighting ballot measures in each state where they surface, providing campaign advice, expertise, and logistical and financial support.
Empowering and organizing homosexual communities around the country with the help of the DNC’s new homosexual outreach organizer Brian Bond.

American Ideals and Same-Sex Marriage
By Thomas E. Brewton
Words remain the same, but lose their meaning when twisted to fit ideological
aims. One such word is equality.
A New York Times editorial dated October 26, 2006, proclaims, “The New Jersey Supreme Court brought the United States a little closer to the ideal of equality yesterday when it ruled that the stateÕs Constitution requires that committed same-sex couples be accorded the same rights as married heterosexual couples.”
The Times editorial implicitly presumes that the “ideal of equality” means
entitlement to actual equality in all respects. Same-sex marriage is just the
latest in a long list of socialist intellectuals’ demands that judicial
pronouncement, if not statute law, mandate equality of condition, rather than
equality of opportunity.
Of course, even for the Times, equality has limits. There is no thought to
equal protection of an infant’s right to life, when weighed against the “right”
to sexual promiscuity implicit in the pro-choice advocacy of abortion.
Our nation was founded on a completely different understanding of equality.
Not until President Lyndon Johnson’s full-bore-socialist Great Society did the
politicians adopt the New York Times’s definition of equality as entitlement,
rather than opportunity.
English political traditions brought to North America in the early 17th century
remained the founding traditions of the United States in the 18th century, when
the Constitution was written. In that framework, equality meant only that
everyone was entitled to equal treatment under the law, that the ruler, as well
as the ruled, was subject to a higher law of God-given morality.
The Bill of Rights was intended, not to legislate equality, but to safeguard
individuals’ natural-law political liberties from arbitrary government power.
One inescapable consequence of the individuality protected by the Bill of
Rights is the absolute impossibility of uniform equality in social station,
distinction, and income.
James Madison, a principal architect of the Constitution, explained its
principles in the Federalist Papers. In Federalist No. 10, he wrote,
"The diversity in the faculties of men, from which the rights of property
originate, is not less an insuperable obstacle to a uniformity of interests.
The protection of these faculties is the first object of government. From the
protection of different and unequal faculties of acquiring property, the
possession of different degrees and kinds of property immediately results; and
from the influence of these on the sentiments and views of the respective
proprietors, ensues a division of the society into different interests and
parties."
Whence came the 180-degree distortion in the meaning of equality?
The New York Times’s inclusion of same-sex marriage within the “ideal of
equality” is part of the modernist philosophical disillusion that emerged from
the disaster of the First World War and the Soviet Revolution of 1917. A few
adjustments were required to Auguste Comte’s 1830s gnostic doctrine of the
“inevitable laws of history,” which theoretically had led Western civilization
out of bondage under religion and into the new scientific age.
Western intellectuals, artists, musicians, and writers began to question all of
their previous certainties about the inevitability of “progress” toward
enlightened, socialistic government around the world. Disillusion led to
cultural destruction.
Western civilization’s art and literary forms were rejected, along with belief
in God, Judaism, and Christianity. The unspoken expectation was that the act
of tearing down the structure of society would result in its replacement with a
Brave New World, much better than the old.
With the Soviet Union’s purported socialistic equality as a model, Greenwich
Village artists, musicians, journalists, novelists, and playwrights in the
1920s disparaged American traditions as hypocrisy and championed new art
forms. Freudian psychology became fashionable, substituting worship of our
genitals and our sexual urges for worship of God.
The stage was set for New York Times editorialists to crawl out of the
socialist sewer with their conception of equality.

They believe that Jesus was only a prophet or a good man, but on the other side, the direct opposite beliefs are being made known. Wal-Mart: Rolling Back Family Values
Wal-Mart executives ought to consider changing the company’s slogan to “Always low prices--and even lower standards.” The company famous for offering unbeatable deals has struck an even stronger one with the homosexual lobby. In August, FRC reported that the corporation was not only partnering with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce but also donating $25,000 to its cause. Now the company plans to pressure its suppliers such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Gillette to do the same. The move, which Wal-Mart hoped to keep quiet, is being criticized by Don Wildmon’s American Family Association (AFA) and other groups. As part of the public backlash, AFA has started petitioning supporters to shop elsewhere. Corporate America has paid royally for offending values voters. In the last few months, the Ford Motor Company--which refused to change its pro-homosexual stance--has announced double-digit losses. Under pressure, NBC, which considered airing a concert where Madonna hangs from a crucifix, decided not to double-cross viewers and pulled the scene. Wal-Mart executives may have to learn the hard way that the customer is always right. Join us in urging the company to return to its pro-family roots. Take FRC’s flyer to your local Wal-Mart and ask them to reconsider their anti-family views.

State Amendment “Marry"-Go-Round
Two weeks from today, voters go to the polls to determine the course of our country and the future of its families. In eight states, the unbeaten streak for traditional marriage is on the line. Arizona, Idaho, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Colorado, Virginia, and Wisconsin seek to join 20 other states that have approved marriage protection bans. In Colorado, voters will decide whether to recognize “domestic partnerships,” which have an equally chilling effect on marriage. An article in USA Today tried to dampen conservatives’ spirits by reporting that “well-run opposition campaigns and growing acceptance of homosexuality are eroding support for such bans.” Help prove USA Today wrong. Vote your values. Every state has important issues on the ballot--not only on marriage, but on everything from life and parental notification to drug legalization and cloning. MARRIAGE UNDER ATTACK...
Election 2006: What is Means to the Traditional Family
by
Rob Hood
At this moment in our nation’s history, the traditional family is under attack from every angle we can imagine. Secular worldviews are being taught as absolute fact in our public schools to impressionable children and most parents don’t even realize the unspeakable subjects being talked about in today’s public classrooms. Of course everyone knows about the unproven theory of evolution being indoctrinated and taught as absolute 100% fact by today’s public educators.
However, evolution in public schools is a topic for another day. It has been disproved and no one who is a real true Bible believer even takes it seriously anyway. The one topic that is being drilled and pressed today is the subject of homosexuality and the family.
Not all educators are liberals. In fact I would even say most public school teachers would not even go along with walking lock step with the infamous National Education Association anyway. The ones that do walk lock step with the secular world though are very dangerous in their methods of achieving their ultimate goal of secularizing America by starting with young impressionable minds.
Now more than ever, parents need an alternative education solution to this outrageous madness that has long been out of control. Parents need to realize that home-schooled children is the answer. If not home school, then private conservative Christian schools will do. In these environments, there is little room for impressionable minds to hear that abortion is okay and homosexuality is normal. A child raised in a Christian home who is home-schooled will never hear these types of myths and outright abominations. A child raised in this type of environment will only see Darwin as a figure of Science who made concocted a theory that no one has ever been able to prove or even find fossil evidence of to even suggest it is possible.
In today’s public school the teaching of tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality is the going thing, but that confuses children who hear that this is immoral and wrong on Sunday in church, but then hears that it is okay on Monday from the teacher. The same goes for the abortion issue as well. Just what has homosexuality and abortion have to do with elementary education or any education at all for that matter? That’s a subject left up to parents to discuss.
So many of today’s extreme left politicians and other powerful figures are trying to change America by indoctrinating her youth with negative 1960s principles of classic secular liberalism. They challenge parents when parent have a right to know what is being taught in public schools. Liberal politicians argue that what is taught in the classroom should stay in the classroom, but parents who pay taxes to build those schools say differently. As long as parents have to foot the bill for teacher pay raises and top notch school buildings, they should have a right to be involved.
Those same secular liberals who challenge the right of a parent to know what goes on in a school classroom are also condemning churches for not being “tolerant and diverse” enough. In other words, they want God kicked out of church too. If these far left people gain power in November, there is no telling what they will do to America. They certainly can’t do it any good.
These secular liberals are the very people who took prayer out of schools, the Ten Commandments out of schools, are proceeding on taking the Bible out of all the school libraries, and are so angry that some want an alternative view of Darwin’s failed and unproven theory that they will go to any length to make sure that God stays out of the public scene.
Not only do these people want God never mentioned in public ( including and especially at CHRISTmas), but they side with horrible organizations like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Groups like MoveOn.org, NOW, and NARAL tuck these politicians under their protective scaly wings.
The family itself is in danger and the secular liberals will only make it worse. Remember Senator John Kerry? He actually said that WE THE PEOPLE did not need a Federal Marriage Amendment and that this issue should be a state issue, not a federal. Well, some actually believed this half baked idea. So far every state who has voted ban same-sex marriage has passed the law overwhelmingly. That in itself says that the majority of Americans do not want same-sex marriage to be legal, but the secular liberals like John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, and numerous others desire to force their agenda on the majority of America. They can’t do it through legislation, so they use the courts by having super liberal judges who would vote their way put in power on the bench. I am sure this is not what the founding fathers would have seen coming. if we fail to get a Federal Marriage Amendment in place, the traditional family could be in serious trouble because at the state level, some slick liberal judge will just strike down the law anyway to suit his or her own agenda. That is why the federal Marriage Amendment is so important. We have to make an amendment to the constitution to support marriage as between one man and one woman and make it in such a way that not judge has the power to touch it. It has to be an Amendment that is etched in stone and thus will never happen as long as a secular liberal Democrat is in power.
Of course there are some good Democrats left, but most nowadays follow lock step with such figures as Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean, John Kerry, and others. The others who are not walking lock step with the secular liberal agenda get literally persecuted to the point they are driven from the party or voted out. Take a look at Joe Lieberman. I personally don’t agree with him on most things, but when he sided with most Americans on the war on terror, he was valued as a modern day Judas Iscariot to the Democrat party all because he chose to use his own brain and think for himself.
These lock stepped Democrats as previously mentioned push hard for abortion on demand by calling it “a woman’s right to choose”. They push hard for same sex marriage in the name of “civil rights”, and then push for same sex unions and homosexuality in general in the name of “tolerance and diversity”. The issue of same-sex marriage has literally split churches for some odd unknown reason. The Bible clearly points out that God created a woman for Adam, not another man. A man, a woman, and children has been the natural God given order of things since the first family and now secular liberals want to change God’s original plan. Of course, for those who don’t believe in creation, don’t believe in the Bible anyway. If they did, they simply could not accept abortion and homosexuality as anything other than sin. This issue is not hard, but sin divides people groups and Satan has done a wonderful job of driving wedge issues in America and believe it or not, some people are not on God’s side of this.
Same-sex marriage is not negotiable under Biblical standards. neither is heterosexual co-habitation for that matter. It never has been right in the sight of God and it never will be. What is really dangerous though is when small impressionable schoolchildren are taught the direct opposite and are not allowed to discuss the matter further. They are to believe what they are told in the classroom and not questions it - especially to parents. There are even small children’s books available now with stories of other children with “two mommies” or “two daddies”. The fact of the matter is that a family is a man, a woman, and the children and in no other way will anything other that be accepted among Bible believing Christians.
The secular liberals also have a plan to silence Christians over this issue and numerous other issues once they gain power. Ever heard of “hate crimes legislation”? Under a hate crime bill, a Christian who would refer to a homosexual as being sinful or an abortion being murder could be charged with speaking negatively towards a group and could end up in prison for it. Don’t believe me? Ask anyone in Canada or England what happens if you read from Leviticus or Romans in church on Sunday. There has been more than one preacher locked up for this and there are sure to be more right here in the United States if these secular liberals gain power in November. They could ultimately rule their agenda without opposition by suppressing the voice of the people through ‘Hate crime legislation”.
If you want marriage to remain between one man and one woman from now on, you better be careful who you place in power because they could take away that centuries old view of traditional family in just one quick floor vote and there would nothing anyone could do about it. I urge you to think long and hard about who you choose to place in power. Before you vote on that individual in November ask yourself about their history and if they stand with you or against you on the issue of marriage. There is no central neutral ground, You either are for traditional marriage or aghast it and I hope that you decide well.

Liberal Negativism...
Liberal Negativism
By Thomas E. Brewton
Liberals see the natural world as flawed and presume hubristically to
restructure nature to fit their artificial, intellectual blueprint for
perfection. In contrast, religious Jews and Christians are instructed to take
joy in God’s marvelously created cosmos, to recognize that the world is complex
far beyond the capacity of any human minds to comprehend its entirety.
Liberals look to Marxian economics. Religious Jews and Christians seek God’s
guidance.
Liberal Republicans and Democrats, along with the media that follow the lead of
the New York Times, are ceaselessly intent upon criticizing everything about
life in the United States. This is true not just during political campaign
season, but unendingly so.
Perfection, from liberals’ viewpoint, would be a theoretical world-society with
equal distribution of income in a socialistically regulated economy, under a
one-world government led by socialist intellectuals in the UN.
If a liberal sees anything that differs from his idea of perfection, his knee-
jerk reaction is to demand a new law to regulate or correct it. The implicit
assumption is that everything in society is the product of materialistic forces
emanating from the political state. Hence the harping, for example, on income
gaps, and the presumption that the Federal government can, and should, run the
economy to eliminate income discrepancies.
David Limbaugh’s new book “Bankrupt” (see Brent Bozell’s review in the Washington Times) documents this fundamental posture of negativism.
Seeing the world as all wrong, while confidently believing that you can fix
everything if you are put in charge, is a basic characteristic of the gnostic
doctrine of liberal-socialism.
As I wrote in The Da Vinci Code: Liberal Gnosticism:
Gnosticism is the belief that intellectual elites have secret knowledge about
the structure of human society and about the relationship between humans and
the cosmos.Ê These elites are thereby empowered to direct human affairs.
A characteristic common to all the varieties of gnostic socialism is the belief
that human conduct, indeed fundamental human nature, can be manipulated by
controlling and changing the the conditions in which people live.Ê This will be
found in all of the 19th and 20th century varieties of socialism, from Henri de
Saint-Simon and Auguste Comte, to Charles Fourier and Robert Owen, to Karl
Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Benito Mussolini, Adolph Hitler, and Franklin
Roosevelt.”
Eric Voegelin in his 1959 ÒScience, Politics & GnosticismÓ describes the
salient characteristics of gnosticism, all of which apply to the doctrines of
American liberalism.
First, the gnostic liberal is dissatisfied with the world as he finds it.Ê He
rejects the evidence of history that there always will be strife, wars,
inequalities in ability and station, and some degree of poverty.Ê And he is
confident that he has the knowledge (gnosis) to make things perfect, which he
defines as equality in all things.
Second, the gnostic-liberal attributes the problems of human life to poor
organization of the economic and political realms.Ê Evil and hardship must
therefore arise from some identifiable source (capitalism? ownership of private
property?) that deforms the proper structure of society.
Third, the gnostic-liberal has a deep faith that earthly salvation from the
worldÕs tribulations is attainable, a trait markedly evident in the theoretical
models of Soviet Russia and Franklin RooseveltÕs New Deal.
Fourth, the gnostic-liberal believes that this salvation is attainable through
the process of history (which , of course, he uniquely understands).Ê Auguste
ComteÕs 1820s gnosis was his discovery of the Òimmutable law of history,Ó
according to which there are three ages of human social development, the third
stage in the 19th century being the new scientific, socialistic age into which
only knowledgeable intellectuals could lead the masses.Ê
The same three-phase philosophy of history reappears in Hegel and Marx.Ê Note
that HitlerÕs National Socialism was consciously called the Third Reich to
identify it with the gnostic millennium of earthly harmony and peace.
Note also that the nature of gnosis is that its secret knowledge is available
and comprehensible only to a select few.Ê This has always implied in socialism
a vulnerability to dictatorial concentration of power in the collectivized
state.Ê In Italy and Germany of the 1920s and 1930s it was expressed as the
Leader Principle Ð Il Duce and Der Fuhrer.
Fifth, the gnostic-liberal believes that, having discovered the secret meaning
of history, he can implement and control the process of history by political
and economic means, i. e., via socialism.Ê
And, finally, the gnostic-liberalÕs core belief is that salvation, the
perfection of social relations and human conduct, is attainable via human
action, here on earth.Ê This is the source of LeninÕs mystical concept of the
dictatorship of the proletariat that would bring peace and harmony to the
people and would lead to a gradual withering away of formal government, leaving
the Soviet people living in a modern Garden of Eden Ð from each according to
ability, to each according to need.
We see the manifestation of this mystical, gnostic vision every day in liberal
politicians belief that individuals are incapable of fending for themselves,
that only the national political state can do the job.Ê There is always
something wrong with society and always a politician confident that one more
set of regulations or one more welfare-state program will make everything OK.Ê

FRC Vote Cards Settle the Score
FRCAction’s scorecard is ready to go on-line today. The scorecard, done in conjunction with Focus on the Family Action, looked at a series of family-friendly votes taken this past year in Congress. Included are votes addressing taxpayer funding of destructive embryonic stem cell research, legislation preventing the taking of young girls across state lines for the purpose of procuring an abortion without parental notice, and a vote on and sponsorship of the Marriage Protection Amendment. The results show over 123 House members voting in favor of pro-family legislation every time. In contrast 142 House members could not find one piece of pro-family legislation to support. On the Senate side only 24 Senators voted 100% on the scorecard, compared to 25 Senators who did not vote for a single pro-family issue in this Session. Please check out the scorecard to see how your Congressman and Senators fared and share this information with others. www.frc.org

Massachusetts Marriage...
Vote on marriage in Massachusetts being avoided
October 23, 2006 | Refer a Friend
The citizens of Massachusetts are engaged in a protracted battle to restore traditional marriage in their state through a constitutional amendment to define marriage as only the union of one man and one woman. Recent polls indicate 75 percent of Massachusetts voters want to vote on marriage, but the homosexual lobby is trying to prevent a vote from ever taking place. In the last Constitutional Convention, the Legislature recessed the vote until November 9th, two days after the General Election, so constituents wouldn’t know where their elected officials stood on the issue of marriage.
In order for the Protection of Marriage Amendment to appear on the Massachusetts ballot, it must receive 50 votes at the Constitutional Convention scheduled for November 9th. State legislators need to hear from their constituents.
Here is what you can do to help restore traditional marriage in Massachusetts:
Call Senate President Robert Travaglini at: 617-722-1500 and House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi at: 617-722-2500 and tell them you would like a fair up-or-down vote on the Marriage Amendment on Nov. 9th with no procedural tricks to prevent a vote.
Contact your own state legislators by visiting: http://www.voteonmarriage.org/communicate.shtml where you will find your legislators’ names, their direct phone numbers, and talking points to aid in your call.
Visit www.voteOnMarriage.org for additional ways you can help this effort. Your help is urgently needed.
Massachusetts is the only state in the nation that legally condones and encourages homosexual marriage. If we can join together to defeat this agenda, it will send a message to our political leadership nationwide. Defeating homosexual marriage in the liberal state of Massachusetts will set the tone for the Federal Marriage Amendment and show swing legislators just how “out of touch” the homosexual lobby truly is.

Many people ask themselves, “What can one person do?” Roma Murray of Orlando, Florida found an innovative answer to that question by creating the One-A-Month Ten Commandments Campaign. She printed each of the Commandments on reusable vinyl window decals so that people can display one Commandment on their car window, or other glass surface, each month.
Visit http://10CommandmentsOnline.org to order a set of 12 reusable window decals. Since there are only 10 Commandments and 12 months, the set includes Bible verses for November and December. Below is a picture of the November and January decals, but the artwork on the actual decals is much much more clear and attractive than can be depicted online. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Liberty Counsel. We are grateful to the Murrays for their support.

Abortion and the November Election...
Election 2006: What it Means to the Pro-Life Movement
by
Rob Hood
The pro-life movement has a real foe this election year. One of the reasons that this upcoming election is far more important than a presidential election is the fact that so many unborn babies’ lives are at risk afterwards. Ever since the dreadful Roe V. Wade decision, millions of babies have died because of it. Over 47 million to be exact. The far left and a majority of Democrats refer to the simple murder of unborn children as “the right of a woman to choose”. That expression has dire consequences and what the mainstream media doesn’t often tell, if at all, is the fact that many women regret their abortion years later and suffer from depression and anxiety because of it.
I have long been against abortion simply because it should not be a choice to take an unborn child’s life. That child has a soul. That child has a future and a purpose for existence no matter how it was conceived. However, the liberals who are desperately seeking a power grab this upcoming election see things differently than most of society. They see nothing wrong with sucking out the brains and dismembering a child in the womb. Those same people who see nothing wrong with this terrible and inhumane procedure are the same people who would scream bloody murder if it was done to a dog or a horse or some type of animal. They see this as okay when done to a human but God forbid if PETA ever heard of a dog abortion.
Not only is abortion sickening, but so is what else I have discovered. Perhaps the “right to choose” is not the real reason for many in the scientific community to support this method of murder. Several abortion doctors do it plainly for the money. Not only that but if you go to www.google.com and type “baby parts for sale” you will come up with numerous links to articles revealing that aborted baby parts is a multi-million dollar a year industry. That is not only sickening, it is pure evil.
Anyone that would promote abortion for the sole purpose for harvesting body parts for sale is one sick, twisted, and evil individual. What kind of a person, outside of a Satan worshipper, would do such a thing? I once sent Nathan Tabor of The Conservative Voice ( www.theconservativevoice.com )a news article about some types of Chinese imported women’s makeup being made partly from aborted fetus parts. He later wrote a short commentary article about this and since then so have many others. You can read for yourself some of the horrors of this awful procedure at the end of this article under REFERENCES. I highly recommend you reading them to see where I am coming from in this article.
One organization that really scares me is Planned Parenthood. They are virtually the ACLU of the pro-abortion cause. Even though Planned Parenthood scares me, NARAL scares me more. According to Life News ( www.lifenews.com )NARAL sent a campaign fundraising newsletter out asking its members to imagine a congress controlled by pro-choice politicians. NARAL and its elected leaders would control many committees and panels in Washington for the first time in a long time. This scares me simply because they would push for more abortions under the disguise as women’s rights. Of course women should have the same rights as everyone else. I have never been against this, but abortion is not a right, it’s personal choice to choose between life and death for an unborn child and it’s just as simple as that!
I pray that these pro-choicers will not gain control of the Senate and Congress in November because the culture of death will only be promoted even further. I pray that we can install a leadership that values the life of the unborn rather than seeing profits from aborted baby parts. You can make this happen. On election day, you can cast your vote for life or you can cast your vote for death. Please choose wisely!

Dr. James Dobson Under Fire...
From LifeSite News ( www.lifesitenews.com )
James Dobson: “I have never seen such hatred in my life. I am being bludgeoned”
Children Will Be Targeted if States Change Marriage Definition, He Warns
By Gudrun Schultz
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, October 20, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The social
consequences of a liberal victory in the coming elections will be grave,
particularly for children, Dr. James Dobson warned in a radio broadcast urging
pro-family voters to go to the polls.
Dr. Dobson accused the national media of attempting to influence pro-family
voters to stay home. Despite media efforts to convince “values voters” that the
issue of homosexual marriage is no longer of central importance, Dr. Dobson
said, activists’ push for same-sex “rights” is increasingly focused on the next
generation.
“Children are being targeted,” Dr. Dobson stated. “If one of these states do
not confirm traditional marriage, adoption laws will change. Those put in
foster care will be placed in different kinds of homes, the training foster
care parents receive will be consistent with the homosexual perspective.”
Dobson said the key significance of the coming elections is evident in media
attacks on pro-family supporters.
“I have never seen such hatred in my life. I am being bludgeoned,” Dobson said,
making reference to an NBC broadcaster who allegedly referred to him as ‘the
worst man in the world.’ “Why? Why now? Well, it’s not really personal to me.
But they identify me as one of the people who turned out the values voters last
time--and they are determined to never, ever let it happen again.”
“If people of faith--the so-called values voters--don’t come out and let their
voices be heard, there are going to be some major implications for this country”
, he said. “There are these statements from the media that values voters don’t
care this year and that they’re going to stay home.”
Recent efforts by the California legislature to pass a measure mandating the
inclusion of pro-homosexual material in all public school curricula, beginning
with kindergarten, was a vivid example of the child-oriented goals in the
homosexual activist movement, Dr. Dobson pointed out.
“Teaching five year olds about adult perverse behavior instead of fairy tales
is unconscionable.”
While the California measure was vetoed on the last day possible by Gov. Arnold
Schwarzenegger, it had passed the Assembly and Senate by a wide margin despite
a national and state-wide outcry by parents and pro-family organizations--an
example, Dobson said, of the lack of any accountability on the part of those
behind the pro-homosexual movement.

Election 2006 and Your Second Amendment Rights...
Election 2006: What is means for your Second Amendment Rights
by
Rob Hood
Election Day, 2006. What will our future hold in regards to our fundamental right under the Second Amendment to own and bear arms? Will our rights be stripped in the days following the election if the wrong kind of politicians gain power, or will our freedom to bear arms remain intact?
So far, the mass media is predicting a big win for the Democrats on election day. However, not all Democrats are liberals, not all of them are anti-gun either. For the most part the Democrat party is primarily moderate to extreme left wing and it is the factions of the far left gaining power that instills tremendous fear into my heart. What lengths will they go to ban our right to own a gun? We all know George Soros, the billionaire and liberal Democrat, will stop at nothing to take away the Second Amendment. How many others will follows his deceptive lead?
So far, we know for an absolute fact that Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and a host of numerous others are just itching to get their hands on our rights and drastically change America into a country that it was never meant to be when the founding fathers wrote out great constitution.
Among these many far left politicians is one that I truly fear. Congressman John Conyers(Democrat) says that the Second Amendment offers no right to an individual American to own a gun. This scares me because the whole purpose of the Second Amendment was to allow civilian citizens to be armed to defend themselves from a government with harmful intentions. What John Conyers says is hogwash. He, like 99.9% of all liberals, take what they want out of the constitution and replace it with their own agenda and that becomes very dangerous and very suspicious as to their overall intentions after the guns are confiscated.
There is a bumper sticker that reads “Fear the government that fears your gun”. That sticker reads true. Everyone knows of the UN’s view of America’s Second Amendment and we all know who cheers the mighty UN - yep, you guessed it - the Democrats. The liberal Democrat can see no wrong within the UN. They see a virtual heaven where everything is perfect, while the rest of us see a failing organization that has drifted from its original foundations. The UN was not created to legislate another country’s gun laws, constitution, school system, or abortion laws. The UN would do a much better job if they would stick to their original purpose and give up dictating social issues that is none of their business to start with.
If Democrats win the election in November we will see a gun ban sweep across America that will make Bill Clinton’s gun policies look like a Kindergarten child fighting over a popsicle. I am dead serious. People, if you want to maintain your rights according to the Second Amendment, you better wake up and keep these ultra-liberal politicians out of power. If you fail, then kiss your guns goodbye.
The fact of the matter is that gun bans do not work. Period. It only emboldens criminals that obtain guns illegally smuggled from nations who broke the very treaty they signed to keep international gun trades at bay. A citizen without a weapon makes for a very happy criminal. That criminal can rob and rape without the worry of being shot or stabbed in the process. However, a lady yielding a .40 caliber Glock tends to make a potential rapist back off. The very presence of a firearm in some cases are enough to actually prevent a crime from happening. Would a robber be more afraid of a homeowner with a 12 gauge shotgun full of buckshot or more afraid of a homeowner holding a telephone dialing 911? On average it takes about 15 minutes or longer for a police officer to arrive at a home after an emergency call. That’s enough time for the criminal to have raped, robbed, and killed the person inside. However, if the person inside fires off a couple dozen rounds of 9mm shells, the criminal is guaranteed to be either full of holes or far away scared and hiding. Don’t tell me that gun bans are good in making crime decrease because that’s the biggest lie ever told.
Do you want to be able to protect yourself or your family in your own home, on your own private property? I suggest being very wary of who you choose to put in power in November because you could cost the nation a freedom that should never be taken away - the freedom of personal self defense.
The mass media is trying their absolute best to use psychological warfare on their viewers and make you stay at home on election day. Don’t fall for it. It’s the oldest trick in the book! They tried in 2000 and again in 2004 in the presidential elections. Don’t stay at home! Go vote! Remember that the Second Amendment is on death row right now and only we, the judges, can reverse that decision. It’s up to the Second Amendment Rights activist and Values Voters that will pull the right politicians through to a grand victory. Please do yourself and all freedom loving Americans a favor and don’t let the gun ban crown rule the roost in November.
We know that these people will bring down the morals of America, ban our guns, take away our religious liberties under “hate crime” legislation, and will ultimately place America in ruins. If these people win in November, America will never be the same again.

The Bible and Dinosaurs?
Q: Do creationists believe flying dragons were mythical?
A: The pictures of flying dragons we see in movies and books may be a bit fanciful. But they are probably based on memories from people who did see such flying creatures, perhaps pterodactyls.
In the 5th century BC, Herodotus, the famous Greek historian, wrote about the “winged serpents” of Arabia. Their descriptions fit what we know about pterodactyls. Similar reports of such creatures come from Ethiopia and India. And there are people living today in the jungles of Southern Africa who say they’ve seen flying reptiles—though they call them “kongamato.” Even the Bible, in the book of Isaiah, talks about flying serpents that lived with people.
Evolutionists insist that the flying reptiles became extinct with the dinosaurs millions of years ago. But the Bible and ancient records give evidence that such creatures lived with people not so long ago.
Furthermore, it shouldn’t surprise those who believe in the book of Genesis if such a flying reptile was still living today. After all, the Bible says that God created all the land animals on the sixth day of creation.

Does that mean, then, that dinosaurs were also made on the sixth day—the same day that Adam was created? For some intriguing evidence that humans and dinosaurs have lived together, read Dinosaurs and the Bible @ http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs/2.asp

The Paradox of Liberty
By Thomas E. Brewton
Liberal educators accord to John Stuart Mill’s essay “On Liberty” the status of
holy scripture. Mill’s particular version of liberty, essentially that of the
ACLU, is a prescription for anarchy degenerating into tyranny.
American academic liberals (not to be confused with the original version of
liberalism represented by Adam Smith’s “Wealth of Nations” and by our own
Constitution) have long employed Mill’s essay to inculcate in callow students
the idea that actions to subvert society’s traditions are both heroic and
socially progressive.
Mill notes that English liberty originally meant limitation of the sovereign’s
arbitrary powers, the ethos undergirding our own War of Independence.
But, says Mill, that principle having been long since established, the modern
(1859 in his case) definition of liberty must be expanded. “It is now
perceived that such phrases as ‘self-government,’ and ‘the power of the people
over themselves,’ do not express the true state of the case. The ‘people’ who
exercise power are not always the same people with those over whom it is
exercised..… there needs protection also against the tyranny of prevailing
opinion and feeling; against the tendency of society to impose, by other means
than civil penalties, its own ideas and practices as rules of conduct on those
who dissent from them.”
Mill’s ringing summation is, “The sole object of this essay is to assert one
very simple principle ..… that the sole end for which mankind are warranted,
individually or collectively, in interfering with the liberty of action of any
of their number, is self-protection.”
Libertarians will find nothing to disagree with in that statement. But, as
James Madison noted in Federalist No. 51, experience has taught mankind the
need for auxiliary precautions.
Chief among those auxiliary precautions is education to support a common
understanding of our history, traditions, and the Judeo-Christian moral
precepts that constituted Western civilization until the 18th century’s advent
of atheistic materialism. Without them, there will be no enduring, free
society within which to express opinions.
Speaking of the English society which Voltaire encountered during his exile of
1726-29, one that both allowed freedom of expression and maintained social
order, AndrŽ Maurois observed in “A History of France”:
“What the [French philosophes] of the eighteenth century did not see....is that
traditions are not all fetters, that many of them constitute the very framework
of a society, that every society rests upon the legitimacy of some
government....The English succeeded in this enterprise, because the transition
in that country was extremely slow and because they preserved side by side new
[traditions] and old.” In short, England was a conservative nation, France a
radical, progressive one.
Mill’s conception of liberty as limitless ability to say or do whatever an
individual wants may be viable in a utopian society composed entirely of
reasonable and well-informed citizens, but hardly so in real life, where
opinions can be manipulated by the media and translated into revolutionary
action.
Does liberty truly demand that we support the ACLU’s unflagging campaign to
destroy the Judeo-Christian moral traditions underlying the Constitution? Must
we support liberals’ PC education and advocacy of hate-crime laws to punish
thoughts in addition to deeds?
Exhibit A is the 1789 Revolution in France, fomented by forty years of
pamphlets and newspapers denouncing the foundations of society. Paris, the
seat of the revolution and the Los Angeles of its day, was a swarming rabble of
poorly educated and often unemployed people drawn from the country districts by
the great city’s rapid growth, easy prey for propaganda. Not much different
from the conditions accompanying a rapid influx of twelve million or so illegal
Hispanic immigrants.
Exhibit B is Germany’s National Socialist totalitarianism, facilitated by the
activities of propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels to create and channel the
expression of ill-informed opinion into violent action.
Such is the consequence of moral relativism, the idea that all opinions are of
equal value to society, as well as of socialist Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes’s
view that truth is whatever wins out in the marketplace.
Compare John Stuart Mill’s language to 1956’s “The Power Elite” by Columbia
University professor and liberal icon C. Wright Mills. In the book’s opening
paragraph, Mills writes, “ The powers of ordinary men are circumscribed by the
everyday worlds in which they live, yet even in these rounds of jobs, family,
and neighborhood, they often seem driven by forces they can neither understand
nor govern.… The very framework of modern society confines them to projects
not their own, but from every side, such changes now press upon the men and
women of mass society.”
Employing Marxian materialism, C. Wright Mills’s diagnosis was that the ills of
society arise from its domination by a capitalistic political-military-economic
power elite that controlled public opinion. He taught that liberal
intellectuals were obliged to motivate students to engage in subversion to
overthrow the power elite and to create a new, socialist society.
In “On Liberty,” John Stuart Mill writes that the philosophical foundation for
his position, is “....utility as the ultimate appeal on all ethical questions...
utility in the largest sense, grounded on the permanent interests of a man as a
progressive being.”
This is essentially the moral-relativism position taken here in the 20th
century by John Dewey in his pragmatic philosophy, which rejects all ideas of
permanent moral truth, preferring rather to ascribe validity to any proposition
that produces the result desired by the person so acting. Pragmatism’s
corollary is that the atheistic and materialistic ends of socialism sought by
progressive intellectuals justify the necessary means for their
implementation.
Mill’s definition of liberty comprises complete freedom of opinion and the
unfettered opportunity to express and to act upon those personal opinions, as
well as the ability to join with others of like mind to act upon those
opinions, so long as doing so does not harm others.
In this we can see an antecedent to the ACLU interpretation of the First
Amendment, in which individuals should be free to foment socialist and
anarchist actions aimed at overturning the First Amendment itself, along with
the Constitution. In that view, the harm being done comes from a society
tolerating private property ownership, and overturning such a society is both
progressive and supportive of Mill’s “permanent interests of a man as a
progressive being.”
For further insight into the contradictions and dangers lying within Mill’s
position, read Gertrude Himmelfarb’s essay “Liberty: ‘One Very Simple
Principle’?” (published in a volume titled “On Looking Into the Abyss").

Grinch Report...
Report A “Grinch”
Just last week we wrote you about how you can “Help Save Christmas”, and you are already reporting back about what is happening in your area. The ACLU has threatened to sue Berkley, Michigan over a nativity scene display which also includes a Star of David, Christmas trees, a Santa Claus figure, a Santa’s Mailbox, and a “Seasons Greetings” sign.
We are also receiving reports about retailers that are ignoring Christmas.
A man from Mississippi reports:
In a town where I work, Lowe’s … has already insulted me with their “Happy Holidays” on everything in the store. Sure there is an angel or two and maybe a small nativity display for sale, but most everything there is “Holiday”.
If we ignore these attacks on Christmas that seem small, we will eventually be faced with persecution as our faith is swept from the public square. The secularization of Christmas is nothing new. Christianity Today reported a few years ago that in the Vietnamese province of Dak Lak, children’s choirs were forbidden to sing “Silent Night.” The Soviet Union eventually folded all Christmas commemorations into New Years celebrations. From 1969 to 1997, Christmas was banned in Cuba. Such examples are endless. It’s time to band together and help save Christmas.
Are the “grinches” at work in your town already? We want to hear about it. Send an email to liberty@lc.org and file a “grinch” report!

Conservative Voters: Homeward Bound?
Story after story on the elections seem to repeat the same spin--that conservatives are too turned off to turn out the vote. With headlines like “Conservative Voters Likely to Stay Home,” many of the press seem to be hoping for a self-fulfilling prophecy. But the truth is, these articles aren’t intended to get the facts straight or to talk about the broader cultural issues of moral decline that have given rise to the recent scandals. They’re meant to discourage voter turnout--plain and simple. Members of the liberal media understand that values voters were the single largest factor in 2004, and a repeat performance would spell disaster for plans of a liberal takeover of Congress. There’s no question the enthusiasm level is far below what it was in 2004. However, where marriage amendments are on the ballot and in the districts and states where candidates take clear and convincing positions on the key social issues, they will find “value voter” support at the polls. If you are tempted to sit this election out, I encourage you not to: vote your values. Sitting out this election doesn’t punish conservatives or liberals so much as it slaps in the face every soldier fighting for this same freedom abroad. They’ve offered their lives--not to protect our apathy, but to protect what America stands for: that government of the people, by the people, and for the people should not perish from this earth.

Ford Continues Showing Support for Homosexual Marriage
Ford Motor Company continues to financially support the pro-homosexual agenda. The latest issue of The Advocate, a homosexual publication, heavily promoted Shortbus, a new film containing graphic, explicit pornographic homosexual sex. Ford, as it has done for years, supported The Advocate with a full-page ad.
Ford told AFA they would pull their advertising support for homosexual media, then reneged on the agreement after a handful of homosexual leaders confronted Ford.
Ford also refused the request of 44 pro-family groups to remain neutral in the battle over homosexual marriage. Ford has decided to support the homosexual agenda rather than remain neutral. Ford’s actions have made it perfectly clear that the company has no intentions of ending its support for the homosexual agenda, regardless of the economic loss to the company.
From redefining family to include homosexual marriage, to giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to support homosexual groups, to forcing employees to attend “diversity” training on how to promote the acceptance of homosexuality, to sponsoring Gay Pride Day parades, to sponsoring a “commitment (marriage) ceremony,” to giving thousands of dollars to support homosexual magazines, Ford leads the way. The goal of every homosexual organization supported by Ford is to legalize homosexual marriage.
For detailed information on Ford’s total commitment to the homosexual agenda, go to www. BoycottFord.com. Ford brands include Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover.

Dear Friends,
Will you vote your values this election, or will you remain silent?
Exploiting recent scandals to gain political points, liberals are hoping you will be so disenchanted with Congress that you’ll stay home on Election Day.
There is no doubt that politicians—on both sides of the aisle—should be held accountable for their actions. Reports of moral corruption among politicians are further proof of the need to vote for family values on November 7th, and there are still many important family values issues pending in Congress that need your attention.
Your first step towards helping family values issues get priority in the 110th Congress is to make it to the ballot box on Election Day.
“I pride myself in being called a liberal.
I don’t consider myself a moderate.”
These were the words of one prominent member of Congress just one month ago. Why would this member dare to make such a bold statement this close to Election Day? Because liberals like this member believe that conservatives have already given up the fight. Liberals are confident they will be running the 110th Congress.
If liberals are right—if you stay home on Election Day—here’s what you can expect:
Taxpayer funded abortions and elimination of restrictions on abortion, including parental notice. A bill like this has already been introduced (H.R. 5151), and has 66 co-sponsors.
No more Supreme Court appointments. You can say goodbye to any potential Supreme Court Justice nominated by President Bush if liberals take over the Senate. The fight to confirm Justices Roberts and Alito would pale in comparison to what it would take to get a conservative Supreme Court nominee confirmed by a liberal-dominated Senate.
Gay marriage. Liberals will continue their push to have gay marriage legalized in all fifty states.
A broad-ranging liberal social agenda. Liberals have bills waiting in the wings that would give voting rights to criminals (H.R. 1300; H.R. 663), nationalize our healthcare system (H.R. 4683), and implement a bill of welfare rights that includes abortion, progressive taxation, and union membership (H.J. Res. 29-35).
This is only one small example of the legislation that will get pushed under a liberal Congress. This list doesn’t even cover the family values bills that will be swept aside in the tide of a liberal House and Senate. The Child Custody Protection Act, the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act, the Ban on Human Cloning—bills that dedicated pro-family representatives and senators have worked hard to move forward—will never see the light of day.
So don’t stay home on Election Day. Forfeiting your right to vote—no matter how disenchanted you are—is no way to protest moral corruption.
Remember what matters. Political scandals will come and go, but family values must move forward.
Vote family values on November 7th.
Sincerely,
The Legislative Department
Concerned Women for America
Legislative Action Committee

Another Liberal Fairy Tale
By Nathan Tabor
The nation of Norway has now given us the first museum exhibition that claims that the birds, the bees, and other animals may be homosexuals.
The Oslo Natural History Museum exhibit is just one more example of propaganda invading the scientific world. Based on its assessment of same-sex attraction in the animal kingdom, the museum draws the conclusion that homosexuality cannot be considered “unnatural.”
The exhibit’s project leader, Geir Soeli, was quoted as saying, “The sexual urge is strong in all animals…It’s a part of life, it’s fun to have sex,” Soeli made this statement in trying to explain the bizarre conclusion that homosexuality is rampant among animals.
In one exhibit, two stuffed female swans are depicted on a nest—a clear effort to promote the “Heather Has Two Mommies” school of thought. Meanwhile, a photograph shows a male giraffe mounting another giraffe—supposedly in expectation of sex.
There would seem to be a clear political reason for this kind of exhibition. In some countries, laws are on the books which call homosexuality a “crime against nature.” One Reuters report conceded that researchers haven’t paid much attention to animal homosexuality. The Reuters report concludes the disinterest might be the result of “distaste, lack of interest or fear or ridicule.”
But perhaps the real reason for the disinterest is because it doesn’t pass the laugh test. If homosexuality were truly strong in the animal kingdom, there would be no animals left, since they would be unable and unwilling to reproduce. As the Reuters report points out, homosexuality would seem to be a genetic dead-end.
Soeli claims that bonobos, a type of chimpanzee, are all bisexuals. This is significant, because those who believe in evolution rather than in intelligent design can then make the case that we humans must all have bisexual tendencies too, since, in their view, we’re all descended from apes.
For years, homosexual activists have tried to make the case that there’s a special homosexual gene hiding in the gene pool. Yet, that simply doesn’t explain why one human twin might pursue a homosexual lifestyle and another would not.
The trouble with museum exhibits like this one is that they try to sell children on the idea that homosexual sex is not an aberration—a claim that can lead to justification of same sex marriage. With liberals such as these running scientific exhibits and some schools, we can fully expect a version of the beloved storybook “The Three Little Pigs” to give rise to “The Three Gay Pigs.”
It’s the natural progression, after all.

Forgiveness...
Forgiveness
By Thomas E. Brewton
In controversies small and large, forgiving your opponent is one of the hardest
things for a human being to do. We are filled with anger that can, if
unchecked, consume us. Failing to forgive and bring peace to one’s own soul
is, as a speaker at our church described it, like drinking poison with the
expectation that it will kill your antagonist.
Forgiving someone who has wronged you doesn’t mean that you should not condemn
wrongful action. Forgiveness has to do with your own soul, with getting into a
right relationship with God.
That doesn’t mean that you can wrong someone and claim that God inspired you to
do it. God doesn’t cause us to sin; our inherent sinful nature is the source.
Unredeemed by Jesus Christ’s death for us, we are all lost. If God was willing
to sacrifice his only begotten son for us, we have to be willing to let go our
own anger and self-justification.
One of the Bible’s most striking examples of human forgiveness is Joseph’s
reaction upon seeing the brothers who, many years before, had sold him into
slavery in Egypt.
“ ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers
the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please
forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message
came to him, Joseph wept.” Genesis 50:17
In the familiar story of the many-colored cloak, Joseph’s older brothers were
jealous of the favor shown to him by their father. They sold him into slavery,
took away his cloak, and told their father that a wild beast evidently had
killed Joseph.
Years later, through an unusual chain of events, Joseph becomes the prime
minister for the Egyptian pharaoh. Famine drives his brothers to Egypt to seek
food, bringing them before Joseph to plead for aid. They don’t recognize him,
but he knows who they are.
In the circumstances, Joseph had the power to punish his brothers in any way he
chose. Instead, he forgave them and reunited his whole family. It was God’s
will, he said, that put him in the position of power to help his family and
others in Egypt at a time of need.
However counter-intuitive, rationalizing our actions and justifying our anger
at others merely makes our own state of mind worse. We see only our side of
the argument. We fail to see the other’s point of view or to acknowledge the
other person’s good qualities.
As Jesus said, “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and
then you will see clearly to remove the speck from the other person’s eye.”
Matthew 7:5
The opportunity to acknowledge our own contribution to a controversy and to ask
the other party’s forgiveness is a gift from God.

As our upcoming election day nears, we must be in prayer. Please pray that
fellow Christians, also known as Values Voters, go to the polls and vote in
a way that will pleasing unto God according to His standards given in The
Holy Bible.
From the time you read this until election day, please stop and pray daily
about the situation that our country is currently in and what we must do to
preserve our nation’s heritage - that is, a Christian heritage.
Our nation was founded on Christian principles by men who, themselves,
followed the Word of God. In today’s society we have candidates, that if
they won the election, would align themselves with groups like the ACLU and
Move On.org . These groups continuously undermine the Christian faith and
heritage of America.
There is a lot at stake in the upcoming elections and this election may be
more important than the 2004 presidential election. Some of the things at
stake are:
Same-sex marriage is still an issue liberals and activist judges would like
to install in all 50 states regardless of state law which would be struck
down by judges installed by liberal politicians after they gain power
Conservative talk radio may be in danger due to what is known as “The
Fairness Doctrine” which is not fair at all. It simply states that both
sides of an issues (conservative and liberal) must be presented on the radio
talk shows. The goal of this is to shut down the voices that go against
liberal social policies.
Liberal activist judges on the supreme court would be installed if the wrong
people win the election. These judges view the Second Amendment as
non-existant, same-sex marriage as “equality, diversity, and tolerance”
despite the majority of America voting against such measures.
If the wrong people win the election in Novemebr, you can count on a
ridiculously high tax increase to pay for liberal social programs that will
be guarunteed to fail anyway.
If the wrong politicians win the elections in Novemeber, you can count on
abortions being easier to obtain, less restrictive laws, and more
“pro-choice” activism in public schools
If the wrong leaders win the November elections, the war on terror will be
reduce to a mere law enforcement issue which will put America at danger from
radical Islamic terrorists. We need our military to continue the operations
on the war on terror, not local law officers.
President Bush will most certainly be the target of a majority of liberal
politicians if they win in November. The goal is IMPEACHMENT!. Lately some
conservatives have been angry with Bush, but not to the point of
impeachment. We must not let liberals impeach our president in such a
critical time in our nation’s history
These are just some of the issues that we face after November if the wrong
people win the elections. it is up to us, the Values Voters, to go out and
make sure that these things do not take place.
Please make it your priority to pray for this situation daily from now until
the election comes.
Pray that Values Voters will see what is truly at stake and vote
accordingly!
Voting is a precious freedom thatmany countries do not have a right to. Yet,
here in America, we take it for granted. In November, please remember to
vote! It only takes a few moments out of the day to make a decsion that will
affect our nation’s future and the direction in which it will go!
REMEMBER: PRAYER MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!
But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

The War On Christmas can be won!
Tis the Season for Political Correctness...Again
by
Rob Hood
It has already begun. The last several years the war on Christmas has only gotten worse. last year, though, people took a definite stand and it will be no different this year. More and more organizations are getting involved earlier with this struggle for Christmas.
This year you can help save Christmas from the political correctness police known as the ACLU, and the left wing pundits who worship at the alter of “tolerance and diversity”. This year I urge you to join the fight and let’s put an end to this silly nonsense once and for all. Below is a list of organizations that will be fighting the war on Christmas either through boycotts or by lawsuits:
Liberty Counsel www.lc.org
Alliance Defense Fund www.alliancedefensefund.org
American Center for Law and Justice www.aclj.org
Family Research Council www.frc.org
Concerned Women for America www.cwfa.org
American Family Association www.afa.net
Save Merry Christmas www.savemerrychrsitmas.org
Right March www.rightmarch.com
Thomas Moore Law Center www.thomasmoore.org
Rest assured, these, and many others will be available to fight the war on Christmas harder than we have ever fought before. Lawsuit after lawsuit will arise if anyone tries to replace Christmas this year with anything other than what this time of year really means. Will you stand with us to save Christmas this year or will you join the ACLU and its worshippers of radical secularism and destroy one of the most celebrated events in history?

Dinosaurs Re-Discovered?
Q: What do creationists mean when they say dinosaurs were re-discovered?
A: Most people have the idea that we discovered dinosaurs when scientists found and examined their bones back in the 1800s. But when you think about it, this idea is really based on the evolutionary belief that dinosaurs never lived with people.
According to the Bible, all land animals—including dinosaurs—were made on Day 6 of Creation Week. So they actually lived alongside Adam and Eve. Therefore, when some scientists say that we first discovered dinosaurs in the 1800s, we say that, from a biblical perspective, they actually rediscovered them.
Furthermore, the many “dragon” legends from cultures around the world are most likely stories about the creatures we now call dinosaurs. Dragons are actually referred to a number of times in the Old Testament. (The word “dinosaur” wasn’t coined until 1841.)
When someone asks you, “When were dinosaurs discovered?” you can start from Genesis and reply, “They were first discovered about 6,000 years ago, when Adam saw the first dinosaurs!”
What does the Bible have to say about dinosaurs? Where did they come from? When did they live? What did they eat? Where did the fossils come from? What happened to them? For answers to these questions, please see “What happened to the dinosaurs” at http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/answersbook/dinosaurs19.asp

NBC Moves Ahead With Plans To Air Madonna Scene Mocking The Crucifixion of Christ
Despite 740,811 emails asking the network to cancel Madonna’s mocking of the crucifixion of Christ in an up-coming November special, NBC still plans to air the crucifixion mockery scene.
NBC said they found nothing wrong with the scene mocking the crucifixion of Christ. Such was not the case when NBC refused to show Danish newspaper cartoons depicting Muhammad in a negative light. NBC’s message? Show respect for Muslims, but it is ok to bash Christians.
In the special, Madonna, wearing a fake crown of thorns, descends on a suspended mirrored, disco ball-type cross. Click here to see photos of Madonna’s crucifixion scene.
Madonna has mocked Christ for many years. In 1989 she released a video for the song “Like A Prayer.” The video featured burning crosses, statues crying blood and Madonna--representing Jesus--freeing a saint from his sexual repression by seducing him.

Interchangeable Parts
By Thomas E. Brewton
Modern mass production with interchangeable parts was a good idea in the
automobile industry a century ago. But is it a good idea to homogenize
national cultures, either in the interests of economic prosperity, or to
further the socialist ideal of a one-world government?
Carol Derbis drew my attention to the potential dangers of the proposed North
American Union, which aims at making NAFTA into an analog of the European
Union, eventually uniting Mexico, Canada, and the United States on political
and cultural grounds, as well as on economic policies.
As she writes, we must have full and public Congressional hearings before the
proposal goes much further.
Chris Adamo addressed the issue last year, as did Jerome R. Corsi in this article earlier this year.
Those who fear the worst say that President Bush intends to abrogate United
States sovereignty. That seems unlikely, but any surrender of our own
Constitutional rights to a supranational agency, however limited the surrender,
is a very bad policy. Our experience with the UN makes that abundantly clear.
Apart from the huge controversy over illegal immigration from Mexico, there are
plenty of other negatives to consider.
Foremost among them is spotlighted by this website’s Statement of Purpose:
The View from 1776 presents a framework to understand present-day issues from
the viewpoint of the colonists who fought for American independence in 1776 and
wrote the Constitution in 1787. Knowing and preserving those understandings,
what might be called the unwritten constitution of our nation, is vital to
preserving constitutional government. Without them, the bare words of the
Constitution are just a Rorschach ink-blot that politicians, educators, and
judges can interpret to mean anything they wish.
As relatively little has been elaborated about the North American Union concept
in the media, one can only conjecture about the exact intentions and methods.
Whatever the specifics of the proposed North American Union, it can be said
that it has the potential to promote further cultural disintegration in our
nation, which is as lethal a danger as Islamic jihad.
Liberals (and it has to be said that most Republicans as well as Democrats have
evident left-leanings) have been educated in our colleges and universities to
accept the social sciences view that human beings respond only to material
factors. Thirst, hunger, the need for clothing and shelter, and the sexual
urges are said to be the ultimately controlling factors in human society.
One has to be oblivious to history, however, to believe that the list of social
influences is limited to the atheistic materialism of socialism. Our colonial
ancestors were definitely motivated by the economic issues of taxation to issue
the Declaration of Independence. But there was a far deeper ethos underlying
their action: the centuries old English tradition of inalienable natural-law
rights of individuals to be free from the arbitrary exercise of power by the
sovereign. Those conceptions grew out of the Judeo-Christian moral traditions
that constituted Western Civilization.
Moving in the direction of a political and cultural North American Union is to
unwind the very substance of the Declaration of Independence and the
Constitution.

Education and Liberal Indoctrination...
Are you tired of modern universities indoctrinating young minds with terrible nonsense like evolution, same-sex relationships are o.k., Christianity is bigoted, and other such junk? Well be sure that the college your son or daughter attends does not lean leftwards like most of today’s modern liberal colleges. Instead provide a genuine, Christ based education with a fair, but traditiona, conservative stance and a biblical worldview that will positvely influence youth to be more Christlike and conservative. Liberty Sunday: This Weekend!
I hope you’ll join me this weekend as FRC airs its nationwide simulcast, “Liberty Sunday: Defending Our First Freedom.” On Sunday, October 15 at 7 p.m. ET, we will broadcast live from Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts, where we will examine how the homosexual agenda has threatened, and same-sex marriage would further threaten, the right of people of faith to express their beliefs in the public square. You’ll hear stories from families who are in the midst of the battle for religious liberty--one of the first freedoms to be sacrificed as same-sex marriage was legalized in Massachusetts and as the homosexual agenda advances across the nation and gains government sanction. You’ll also hear from leaders in Massachusetts and across the nation with appearances by Massachusetts First Lady Ann Romney, Gov. Mitt Romney, Dr. James Dobson, William Donohue, Chuck Colson, Gary Bauer, Alan Sears, and others. In addition, you will hear testimony from people who have suffered because of sexual license taking precedence over religious liberty. There are several ways to watch or listen to this important event. Check our website to determine if visiting a local host church, watching satellite television, listening on the radio, or watching via live internet webcast is best for you. Please join me on Sunday as we examine the cultural and legal influences that threaten to restrict our right to freely exercise our beliefs.

What if Liberals Win?
What if the Liberals Win in November?
How important are the upcoming elections? Extremely important! Below is a list of what we can expect if the liberals win. These elections are crucial. It is vitally important that you vote. Please vote and encourage others to do the same. As bad as things are, they will be infinitely worse if the liberals win.
The strategy of the liberals is to get Values Voters so disgusted and discouraged that they will not vote. If that happens, the liberals will have achieved their goal and they will be running our country.
Here is what we can expect if the liberals win:
Amnesty for 12,000,000 illegal immigrants.
A push to make homosexual marriage and polygamy legal in all 50 states.
Only liberal judges will be appointed. They will create laws to implement the social agenda liberals cannot get passed through the legislative process.
Liberals will make the killing of the unborn more difficult to stop.
Liberals will continue to try to rid our society of Christian influence, including any reference to God in our Pledge and on our currency.
A return to the “Fairness Doctrine” in broadcasting where opposing views must be given equal time. Every conservative talk show host will be forced to give a liberal equal time on every issue. The purpose of this rule will be to shut down conservative talk shows.
An increase in taxes to push new social programs.
Passing a new “hate crimes” law making it illegal to refer to homosexuality in a negative manner.
Liberals will give terrorists from other countries who try to kill Americans the same rights American citizens enjoy under our constitution.
We will withdraw from Iraq, sending the message to the terrorists that if they will just be patient they can win and bring their terrorist acts to the U.S.
Go Vote! Encourage Others To Do The Same.

Why the Next Conservatism Needs a New Movement
I can honestly claim to have been one of the godfathers of the existing
conservative movement. In some ways, that movement has achieved far more than
we ever dreamed it could when we started it in the late 1960s and 1970s. Then,
most people thought of conservatism as a marginal force that had been killed
and buried with Barry Goldwater’s defeat in 1964. The idea that conservatism
could in just a few decades come to represent the American mainstream while
liberalism was marginalized would have been unimaginable. Yet that has been the
very real achievement of today’s conservative movement.

School with Questionable “Family Values”
Families with children at the Interdistrict Downtown School in Minneapolis are learning firsthand how homosexual activism in public schools seeks to undermine parental authority. The Star Tribune reports that as a part of the “Families All Matter” diversity curriculum at the school, second-grade teacher Peter Sage read to his class Asha’s Mums, a book about a girl with two moms. Gena Bounds, whose 7-year-old daughter Darriell was in the class, said Sage “told [the class] that he’s gay and that he and his partner are adopting a child, and the child will have two dads. Now Darriell thinks the school is telling her she needs to believe that two daddies or two mommies is the same thing as a mom and a dad.” The teacher also implied to the children that those who do not share his views on the family were bigots just like Sage’s racist grandfather. When parents complained to the principal, they were told that their children could not be reassigned, and should consider enrolling their kids in a private school. Unfortunately, this case in Minnesota shows the all-too-common tactic used by homosexual activists to go around parents by indoctrinating children through the public schools.

The New York Times’ Four-Part Attack on Religion
With evidence growing across the country that religion is under attack from homosexual activists, some judges, and other secularists, and with events like FRC’s upcoming Liberty Sunday simulcast drawing attention to that fact, the left has begun to fight back. The New York Times this week ran a massive (over 16,000 words) four-part series, “In God’s Name,” in which reporter Diana B. Henriques threw all pretense of objectivity to the winds in writing what amounted to a 16,000-word opinion piece claiming that churches, ministers, and religious organizations are unduly privileged, not persecuted. Apparently basing much of her argument on a single book by a New York law professor, Henriques cited various state and federal exemptions from licensing requirements, zoning limits, employment law restrictions, and property and income taxes. Yet the series barely acknowledged the important services to society that are provided by churches and other religious institutions--or the more fundamental fact that “the free exercise” of religion is explicitly guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, while the right of homosexuals to work for religious organizations or of environmentalists to block construction of churches is not. For a more detailed critique of the series, see David French’s blog post at National Review Online.

ACLU Acting Up Again
The ACLU is teaming up with homosexual groups to oppose the federal lawsuit filed by the Parker and Worthlin families. You may remember us reporting last year on David Parker, the Lexington, Massachusetts father who was arrested because of insistence on being notified by school officials anytime homosexual topics were discussed in his son’s classroom. He made this reasonable request after his six-year-old kindergartner came home from school with a “diversity” book bag and a book discussing homosexual relationships. A year later, the Worthlin family experienced a similar attack on their parental rights after their seven year old read “King and King” in his second grade classroom - a book promoting homosexual romance and same-sex “marriage.” The Parkers and the Worthlins will be my guests at Liberty Sunday which will be held this weekend in Boston. You will hear from them and others on how the homosexual agenda is impacting religious liberties in Massachusetts and around the country. The ACLU may want to strip away parental rights and guarantee classroom access to homosexual activists but this simulcast will shine the light of truth on their agenda. This is one simulcast you will not want to miss. Visit www.libertysunday.com to watch the web-cast or find a church, radio or TV station in your area.

Voters Ready to Respond to Judicial Activism
Once a Massachusetts court determined that a 1913 state law restricting out-of-state marriages did not apply to couples from Rhode Island, a lesbian couple from the Ocean State began planning their “wedding.” According to Judge Thomas E. Connolly, Rhode Island law does not contain a clear pronouncement of what constitutes a legal marriage and therefore the couple was free to marry in Massachusetts, which they did this past Sunday. One woman at the center of the legal challenge hopes that other gay couples will follow her lead by importing same-sex “marriage” from Massachusetts into Rhode Island. This is precisely the legal and cultural crisis that many have warned of these past few years, thrown upon us by activist judges. Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri says his state will not recognize same-sex “marriage"--but he will not lead an effort to protect traditional marriage, either. But other states have overcome a lack of leadership by politicians with citizen activism, including many of the 20 states that have defined marriage in their constitution and the eight other states where voters will soon have their say on similar amendments. Where judicial activism rears its ugly head, we are grateful for concerned citizens who consistently vote to restore constitutional principles and American values--and in four weeks, we expect voters in those eight states will do the same.

BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:11-16 (KJV)

ISSUES THAT MATTER: AMERICA’S MORAL BATTLEGROUND by Rob Hood

---------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the world coming to when children cannot get a decent honest education without the left wing bias and cruel, useless indoctrination that goes on in classrooms across this country? What is the world coming to when youth at major college campuses are being brainwashed and indoctrinated by 1960s liberals who think it’s their job to liberalize the youth of America? What is the world coming to when a liberal crow physically and verbally attacks a conservative speaker at a major university and the police don’t offer to help?
Recently there has been a news story floating around the net about what is going on in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania regarding the indoctrination of school children by liberal school personnel who thinks that all children should grow to believe that homosexuality is normal and okay and that they should accept it as such. Now the school officials there have claimed that any parent who keeps their kids at home during this indoctrination will be arrested under current truancy laws. The school has declared the month to be “gay history month”. I wonder what’s next. Muslim Freedom Fighter History Month? I would suggest having a 1960s liberal indoctrinators history month. So far the Philadelphia school district has had about 120 complaints and still vows that if parents remove their kids for this momentous occasion, they will face truancy regulations.
Not only is the school celebrating a fake occasion designed for mass indoctrination of impressionable minds, but they continue they sickening onslaught by introducing phonics cards teaching three syllable words like fam-i-ly and teach that a family can be anything such as two women, two men, and so forth. They fail to recognize the traditional family and these liberals indoctrinators are dangerous to society. They are attempting to change America into something that America was never meant to be in the eyes of the founding fathers - a sickening vulgar replica of Sodom and Gomorrah and just like these two evil cities, America too will fall if we keep on this dangerous and needless path of political correctness and liberal brainwashing.
A “gay history month” is introduced into schools in America as being the same as civil rights history, but nothing could be further from the truth. Civil rights is just, and right. Homosexuality in itself is sin. It always has been and always will be. The ACLU cannot change that no matter how much they hate it and neither can the 1960s liberals. Liberal scientists try to make up some concoction of a story to say that homosexuality is genetic. Well, if that’s the case, then I suppose people are also genetically prone to be terrorists too. Perhaps homosexuality is psychologogically introduced i the back of the mind of some children at an early age when children are abused or encounter different bully situations. That’s my theory and it has never been tested or proven, but one thing is for sure and that is homosexuality is wrong. Regardless of what anyone says, there is an absolute right and an absolute wrong and that will never change.
Also just recently at Columbia University in New York a conservative speaker was attacked verbally and physically before he even got good started. The Founder of the Minuteman Project was set to make a speech there and was literally attacked for just being there. Remember that these liberals all promote free speech and tolerance so just what happened here? Where’s the tolerance of others’ viewpoints? What happened to free speech here?
I’ll tell you what happened! A bunch of radical left wing goofballs took over the university and allowed this madness to take place. These are the kind of liberals that are dangerous to America. They offer violence as an answer to conservative thinking. These attackers should have been arrested and prosecuted, but the security there did little to help. Sure they kept things from getting out of hand, but they still offered very little protection. We are beginning to see more and more verbal attacks and even some physical attacks on conservatives these days.
Before the Presidential election of 2004, I read numerous stories of people who had Bush bumper stickers would find their tires slashed or windows broken. Now isn’t that “tolerant” of them? Let’s face it, these new breed of liberals are very dangerous. The old hippy type liberals were not dangerous. They were more or less relaxed and cool about everything, but things have changed and we are seeing a pattern starting emerge as we see the liberal “tolerance” is turning into violence and it will only get worse before it gets better.
Not only that but other conservative speakers have gotten attacked before. Ann Coulter has been hit with a pie before. Sean Hannity declared that if were ever physically attacked by a pie or anything else someone, somewhere would be prosecuted. It was Sean hannity that started college students calling in and reporting what stupid left wing indoctrination their professor has declared so far. I think that’s a good thing. The students should report it, but to who? The mainstream media will just spin it around , so my personal suggestion to any college student getting badgered by some liberal professor about he/she can or cannot believe sho immediately report it to some of the talk news personalities like Sean Hannity, Rusty Humphries, Michael Savage, Bill O’Reilly, John Gibson, Laura Ingram, etc. Maybe when we start making these events more public and people start to hold their money from these colleges, someone will sit up and pay attention.
Perhaps we conservatives should get a petition drive started and send it to Washington and demand that Congress defund all schools who use indoctrination tactics as opposed to real education and learning methods and not give another dime until these type of professors are not only fired, but deprived of their teaching for life and the university made to publicly apologize for all indoctrinations. Maybe then, the universities won’t be so quick to brainwash our youth with silly socialistic fantasies that will never come true.
I propose a petition as follows:
Dear Congressman:
As a concerned citizen for the youth of America I hereby state my pledge to uphold the necessecity of higher education in the way that it was originally meant to be - free of bias and indoctrination. Our youth are being indoctrinated with pro-homosexual and pro-abortion materials that defile children and corrupt their minds from reality. This is happening in public schools where I, the taxpayer, have to pay for this type of mindcrime. I urge you to introduce a bill making it a felony to teach pro-abortion views and pro-homosexual views in a public classroom. Please keep in mind that as a tax payer and as a voter, I will remember how you reacted to this issue and when I see your name on that ballot at election time, your job may be given to someone else who is willing to protect our youth unless you act soon. I urge you to allow this crime to become a felony. Indoctrination of pro-homosexual views and pro-abortion views by teachers and staff should be illegal in our public taxpayer funded public school system in America.
Sincerely,
Voter
This is not a real petition, but there should be one started similar to it simply because of the raging controversy stirred by such events as mentioned previously. If you can recall, you may recall Rosie O’Donnell claiming that Christians and radical Muslims are the same. Of course she has the right to say that under free speech, but this is just where the left get their silly ideas from. People like Rosie in the media spew out all of these outrageous statements and it hardly gets noticed on the CBS Evening News, but just let a conservative Republican say something similar and all of a sudden it becomes a scandal that lasts for weeks.
Another interesting liberal ranting of late was conspired by New York Times Supreme Court reporter Linda Greenhouse. Of course, I’m not surprised by anything that comes out of the New York Times anyway. Perhaps when subscriptions are down at NYT, they’ merge with the National Enquirer. It won’t be much different than it is right now anyway.
Linda Greenhouse “stunned” the news media by far left comments about conservatives and Christians by saying “our government had turned its energy and attention away from upholding the rule of law and toward creating law-free zones at Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Haditha, and other places around the world. And let’s not forget the sustained assault on women’s reproductive freedom and the hijacking of public policy by religious fundamentalism.” It seems to me that she might have been watching too much Rosie lately. Linda Greenhouse is known for marching in Abortion rights rallies and for defaming President Bush. Now I can see why the New York Times hired her. Even though she claims to be American, as most liberals do, she should have aired this on Al Jazeera and picked up a few fans over there as well. I’m sure Osama would have applauded the fiery speech given at Harvard in June.
As I and others have said before, political correctness and liberal indoctrination will be the death of America literally. Once you start to change a nation and morph other cultures into being and mix religions ways of life together and create a melting pot then the country loses its original identity. There is nothing wrong with people coming to this country or people already hear having their way of doing things. That’s what makes America great, but what makes it not so great is when the liberal minority of America tries to impose socialistic, immoral, and simply downright outrageous ideas on the rest of society, then it become a breeding ground for disaster.

An important announcement from your friends at AFA
Take a Stand for Merry Christmas, Not Happy Holidays!
Use AFA’s attractive car magnets and lapel buttons to remind others that it is Christmas, the birthday of Christ, not just another holiday.
At a time when many want to turn the birthday of our Lord into simply another holiday, here is your way to make a silent reminder.
These attractive magnets and buttons feature Mary and the baby Jesus with the phrase Merry Christmas, It’s Worth Saying. They are a non-offensive way to remind those you come into contact with that there is a Reason for the season.
Order enough to give one to your family and friends, even to every member in your church. Display the magnet and wear your button with pride.
Order today. Your order will be shipped at the end of October, giving you plenty of time to join thousands of others in making the silent witness.
Order at www.afa.net

Q: Can public schools remain religiously neutral by “deleting” Jesus?
A: Not at all! Take this example from a school near Answers in Genesis.
The Christmas program at this school was to be a religious musical titled “Calling All Angels.” The program included Mary, Joseph, the voice of God and numerous angels preparing for the birth of Jesus.
The daughter of a prominent secular humanist wrote a letter to the music teacher that stated, “I do not think it’s fair at all to put on a religious holiday play. Not everyone is a Christian and believes that the Christmas story is true. I think that it’s wrong to promote that one religion is true, when many people do not agree.”
This student had been trained by her humanist parents to protest any religion except her parents’—humanism. As a result, the musical was replaced by a secular program that glorified winter instead of Jesus.
The point is, removing references to Christianity didn’t make the program neutral; instead, Christianity was replaced by the religion of humanism! Christians must realize that humanists are imposing their man-centered religion on our society and deleting the true answers from God’s Word.
The Christmas season generates a multitude of questions from people who are confused and want to know whether they may wish someone “Merry Christmas,” or whether their town may include religious decorations to celebrate the season. For answers to these questions and more, please see Christ, Christmas, and the U.S. Constitution at http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/am/v1/n2/christ-christmas-constitution

Can America Survive the Pelosi Doctrine?
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has already embarked on an ambitious agenda for “Cleaning the U.S. House” once she assumes control.
There is, of course, the unfinished business of the November 7 elections to consider, but Congresswoman Pelosi regards the election itself to be a minor detail, unworthy of distraction.
To Americans still on the fence about the election, you are encouraged to think about the likely agenda that Pelosi would pursue:
* Impeachment of George W. Bush: Pelosi and her supporters have all but guaranteed to impeach the president if elected. Pelosi is likely to make “swearing at George W. Bush” her first item of business after the obligatory swearing in ceremony of the new congress.
* Withdrawal of Troops from Iraq: Once President Bush has been dealt with, Pelosi will move for the immediate withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq. Pelosi will ask that the 130,000 troops in Iraq be placed on “stand by” for assignment to Haiti or other location where there is absolutely no legitimate American interest at stake.
Pelosi will also ask that American military force be available to seize Wal-Mart stores that refuse to cover all employee health care costs or pay a minimum wage of $25 an hour.
* Apology for “Ugly American” Behavior: Covers America’s wrongheaded policies when Republicans controlled the White House and or either chamber of congress. Specifically apologizes to all Muslims, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il, leaders of the former USSR and other assorted nice guys for the boorish behavior of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and both U.S. presidents answering to the moniker George Bush.
* Terrorist Forgiveness: A formal declaration of forgiveness to Osama bin Laden and the original 19 hijackers of 9/11. Declares that, all things considered, America probably deserved 9/11. Includes a thank you note to bin Laden for delaying the World Trade Center attack until Bill Clinton was safely out of office and George W. Bush was preoccupied with young children in Florida.
Makes it a federal “hate crime” to draw derisive cartoons, speak in a disparaging manner, or otherwise offend Islam, the prophet, Allah, the Koran, or Osama bin Laden.
* Free Pilot Training: In the name of acceptance and to demonstrate that real Americans do not hold grudges, provides free training and licenses for young Middle-Eastern men from terrorist-sponsoring nations who speak Arabic and who have always dreamed of flying jumbo jets. Does not cover landings.
* Redefinition of Manifest Destiny: Formally declares a new American “Manifest Destiny” for the 21st century. As such, entitles impoverished Latinos to enter America for whatever purpose, and at the time, date, and location of the migrant’s choosing. Grants immediate U.S. citizenship, including voting rights, to anyone whom can speak Spanish. Literacy is not required in any language.
Establishes an “Open Borders” policy at our southern border, and makes it a federal “hate crime” to discriminate against illegal aliens with Hispanic surnames.
* Land Grants To Illegal Aliens: Guarantees 160 acres of free land to each Latino illegal alien family under a new “Eminent domain” statute that allows the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to seize and redistribute property owned by Caucasian Christians registered as Republicans.
* Transgender Surgeries: Provides free funding for financially needy transgender folk. Covers up to three back and forth surgeries per person. After that, the matter must be resolved between the transgender and his/her/her/his/her/his (or whatever) God.
* Jimmy Carter Airport: Renames the Ronald Reagan airport the Jimmy Carter International Airport to commemorate the enormous contributions made the 40th U.S. president, particularly in America’s handling of the Iranian crisis of 1978. Because of President Carter, terrorism is now a global threat.
* Botox Convenience Center: Authorizes creation of a botox surgery center on Capitol Hill to meet the needs of Democratic representatives and senators. Requires that most space currently being used to house Republican lawmakers be seized and be converted to the Botox Convenience Center.
Pelosi’s more radical notions are still being drafted, but this list should provide a red flag for any American who really cares about our great nation!

Mark Foley: A Fine Example of Non-Republicanism
By Rob Hood
October 04, 2006
One of the finest examples of what I like to call non-Republicanism can be found in Republican Congressman Mark Foley from Florida. Now we all know that what he has done is immoral, wrong, and he simply must be investigated as well as anyone else involved in this meaningless parade of vulgarity that he was caught up in.
I consider myself to be conservative and a Republican simply because of what the Republican party as a whole stands for, but this man Foley, like many others is not a real Republican. LifeSite news has pointed out that he is the type Republican that should have gone over to the Democratic side of the fence a long time ago. He is a pro-choice and pro-gay rights kind of moderate to slightly liberal Republican. That is really nothing new. There are several moderate to liberal republicans and even a whole slough of gay Republican called The Log Cabin Republicans, but these few and far between bring a bad image to the rest of the conservative leaning political organization. Moderates like John McCain are o.k. but Republicans in this day in age are known for their zero tolerance stance on terrorists, their strong stand on moral values like standing against abortion, same-sex marriage, and so forth.
Despite what the party stands for as a whole, the image of the GOP is damaged because of the actions of a few. I do condemn what Mr. Foley has done and he should be prosecuted for this, but that is no reason to punish the rest of the party for the actions of one man.
I still believe that Republicans as a whole are conservative, God fearing, good-hearted men and women who still represent the majority of America and her values. Republicans are still the only party to stand up to the ACLU on most anything including illegal immigration, same-sex marriage, abortion, imminent domain, and numerous other things. The GOP is the only party to take a zero tolerance stance on terrorism where we either capture of kill the terrorists instead of negotiating with them as our Democratic side wishes us to do.. The GOP is still the only party where capitalism and not socialism is the policy for the country simply because it works. The GOP is the party who firmly believes in lower taxes contributes to a greater economy.
Was Foley wrong to do what he did? ABSOLUTELY! Should he be prosecuted? ABSOLUTELY. Should this be investigated further? IT SURE SHOULD! However, the GOP as a whole should not be responsible for the actions of one man. The GOP is still the party who believes in personal responsibility after all, and this is the perfect case in which to exercise that belief.

In Times of Tragedy, Where Do Americans Turn? It’s Not the ACLU
Today’s Washington Post features a striking, full-color photograph in the middle of page one. The reader sees the sanctuary of a typical American church, with a pulpit, a cross on the wall, and that week’s hymn numbers and Sunday School attendance posted next to the American and Christian flags. Seated in the gap in the altar rail is a woman with her head buried in her arms, apparently in grief over the murders of several Amish children in a Pennsylvania school. Even more striking is the caption: “Deputy Coroner Janice Ballenger, who spent hours at the school in the grim aftermath, says she stopped at a church in Paradise, PA, to talk with a pastor, but no one was there.” How long will it take the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State to file suit against Ballenger for breaching the “high wall of separation” they claim (wrongly) that the Constitution requires. Yet no matter what they say, nothing will deter Americans--even government employees--from leaning on their faith in God as a principal source of comfort in times of tragedy. On this point, most Americans have more in common with the Amish than with the ACLU.

I VOTE VALUES
Next month we celebrate one of our dearest freedoms – the freedom to choose who serves the people of this great country through a public vote. We all know that voting is important and a single vote can make all the difference in which direction our country goes. We can choose to elect moral, god-fearing leaders who cherish traditional Biblical family values or we can choose to go the other direction entirely and elect leaders who will take us down a fatal path of immorality and a path that was not intended by our founding fathers. This site is just a reminder that when we do go to the polls, we must remember who gave us a our real freedom – Jesus Christ, and we must honor the word of God who has blessed this nation so greatly by electing leaders in whom He will be well pleased to carry out the work of His kingdom. http://www.ivotevalues.org/

The Party of Rum, Raunch, and Irreligion
By Thomas E. Brewton
With liberals firmly in control of its policies, the Democratic Party has
retreated from the real world into a lotus-eaters’ land of drug-induced
fantasy. As in the Presidential election campaign of 1884, Democrats in this
Fall’s Congressional campaigns are relying upon mud-slinging negativism.
The Democratic party stands for little other than the assertion that the Bill
of Rights guarantees everyone free medical care and unimpeded wallowing in drug
abuse, sexual promiscuity, marital infidelity, abortion, and same-sex marriage.
The other leg of Democrats’ socialist catechism is appeasing Islamic jihadists
and sensitivity for everyone but religious Jews and Christians.
With nothing positive to campaign upon, Democrats and their propaganda machine
are reverting to phony accusations of the sort perpetrated by CBS hatchet-man
Dan Rather. Moth-eaten falsehoods are being revived by books and media
articles timed for release in the last few weeks of the election campaign.
The New York Times continues its practice of selectively quoting portions of
leaked national-security documents to give misleading impressions. Anti-Bush
writers like Bob Woodward have timed their books to hit the market for maximum
PR effect.
Colin Powell and other retired military officers are being trotted out to
repeat their dissatisfaction that more troops were not dispatched to Iraq at
the time of the invasion. These Monday-morning quarterbacks fail to
acknowledge that we didn’t have enough troops to do so, because Bill Clinton
had balanced the budget largely by cutting our military strength almost by
half.
Before Clinton’s military cuts, the United States had a powerful enough
military to sustain a two-front war around the globe, with a strategic reserve
maintained in the United States. Today, to conduct a single-front war, we have
to disrupt civilian life by mobilizing reserve troops.
The 1884 election campaign was as negative and dirty as today’s. Newspapers and
magazines focused public attention upon allegations of character flaws, all but
ignoring substantive policy issues.
Republicans charged that Democratic presidential nominee Grover Cleveland had
fathered an illegitimate child. Democrats alleged Republican presidential
nominee James G. Blaine’s association with questionable railroad stock deals.
Tipping the balance in Cleveland’s favor was the Pat-Robertson-style remark, a
week before the election, by Protestant minister Samuel Burchard, who described
the Democrats as the party of “Rum, Romanism, and Rebellion.” Democratic
newspapers pounded away on this remark, associating the Republicans with the
wrong sides of three of the most divisive issues of the late 1800s:
prohibition, religious tolerance, and reconciliation after the Civil War.
Many analysts believed that angry Irish Catholic voters in New York City gave
Grover Cleveland the margin of victory to overcome Republican strength
elsewhere in the nation.
As in 1884, Democrats still rely upon big cities, today in the Northeast,
Midwest, and the Left Coast, where atheistic socialism is the dominant
religion.
In 1884, enough mugwump Republicans were sufficiently distressed with Blaine’s
alleged dealings to bolt the part and support Grover Cleveland. Today, the
conservative wing of the Republican Party threaten to abandon Republican
candidates, because of Congress’s pork-barreling and failure to act decisively
against illegal immigration.
Today growing numbers of Roman Catholics, disgusted with the hedonistic
irreligion of Democrats’ liberal leaders, are shifting from their long
alignment with the Democratic party.
In 1884, the United States was becoming the greatest industrial nation on
earth. Today, after three-quarters of a century of welfare-state inflation and
high production costs that started with the Democrats’ New Deal, we are
becoming less competitive and losing manufacturing jobs to overseas
producers.
The real issue of the our political campaigns is whether we are to descend
further into the depravity of atheistic and materialistic socialism, which is
the essence of the Democratic Party.

Liberals and Religion
Another election cycle is upon us and once again, Americans will be inundated with political ads from both sides of the aisle. Both sides will do their best to convince the voters to vote for them; all the candidates, local, state, and those running for Congress or the Senate will make the usual promises, most not kept in order to get elected.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is outrageous that the President of Iran was allowed into the United States, to New York of all places, on the heels of the fifth anniversary of 9/11. For the past year, he has been spewing out threats against the United States, i.e., that he would send 52,000 suicide bombers to attack, and he authorized his proxy, Hezbollah, to launch 4000 missiles at the state of Israel.
He stood before the U.N. General Assembly and said:
All divine prophets, from the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) to the Prophet Moses, to the Prophet Jesus Christ, to the Prophet Mohammad have all called humanity to monotheism, justice, brotherhood, love and compassion. Is it not possible to build a better world based on monotheism, justice, love and respect for the rights of human beings, and thereby transform animosities into friendship?
I emphatically declare that today’s world more than ever before longs for just and righteous people with love for all humanity, and above all, longs for the perfect righteous human being and the real savior who has been promised to all peoples and who will establish justice, peace and brotherhood on the planet.
Oh, Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause.
It is quite easy to see that from his perspective, this is a religious war. He is telling Christians that Jesus Christ is not the Third Person of the Trinity and that Jesus taught monotheism. He is calling for the Muslims of the world to join him in ushering in what he calls “the perfect human being.” He is calling for them to usher him in through strife – which means violence and martyrdom.
The United States stood silently by while this madman, who fully intends to wipe Israel from the map with a nuclear bomb, was issued a visa to enter the country and spread his lies. Rather, the State Department declared that they were not opposed to Iran going nuclear, and would even give them a five-year supply of fuel, build reactors, and supply American-made aircraft.
This is akin to Hitler declaring his intentions to kill six million Jews, then persuading the U.S. to build concentration camps and railway lines if he promised not to follow through with his threats. All murderers are liars; they don’t keep their promises.
Please stand up and speak up. It is obvious that there are many who do not have the courage to do so.
Thus far, 3731 people have signed the petition to President Bush. We need to send him at least one million signatures. Please send this out to your entire email list and ask them to sign it today.
Every person with whom I met or interviewed in the last two months has talked about the seriousness of Ahmadinejad’s apocalyptic beliefs that are driving his nuclear arms passion.
Ask President Bush to close the Iranian mission in New York City, introduce economic sanctions against the rich mullahs of Iran, and lead an international tribunal to indict President Ahmadinejad for violations of the Geneva Convention by calling for the destruction of the State of Israel, for killing Americans (troops) in Iraq and Jews in Israel through proxies. I also ask you to join those asking for Iran to be removed from the U.N.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his partner in the Americas, Hugo Chavez, made coordinated appearances at the U.N. days ago. In their roles of “good cop/bad cop,” Ahmadinejad adopted a somewhat softer tone in his speech; he was followed by Hugo, the Unhinged. However, Ahmadinejad’s speech was rife with inaccuracies.
According to Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a Geneva-based monitoring organization, the Iranian leader’s speech was riddled with numerous blatant contradictions:
Ahmadinejad talked about “truth” - yet his regime was found by the IAEA to have been lying for years about its nuclear program;
He spoke of “justice” – yet his regime has conducted phony trials, covering up the torture and murders of dissidents;
He talked about countries that “waste their wealth and resources” to produce “destructive arsenals” of nuclear weapons. But that’s precisely what international experts say Iran is doing in illegally pursuing its massive nuclear weapons program.
Rather than provide for the basic needs of his own countrymen, Ahmadinejad’s regime has spent hundreds of millions of dollars for advanced weaponry to arm Hizbullah in Lebanon and for attacks against Israel
Ahmadinejad charged that “occupiers are incapable of establishing security in Iraq”; yet Iran is responsible for 85 percent of the IEDs used against American troops in Iraq, and constantly strives to actively promote violence and division to ensure the instability of that country.
While protesting the tragedy of the Palestinians – Ahmadinejad failed to mention that Iran has been the greatest sponsor of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorism.
According to GA Resolution 60/171, adopted in March, Teheran’s regime is guilty of a plethora of violations including the following:
Restrictions on the freedoms of assembly, opinion and expression;
The use of arbitrary arrest, targeted at both individuals and their family members;
The unjustified closure of newspapers and blocking of Internet sites;
The continuing use of torture and cruel, inhuman treatment;
Continuing violence and discrimination against women and girls;
And, continuing discrimination, and other human rights violations against “ethnic and religious minorities,” i.e., Arabs, Kurds, Baluchis, Christians, Jews, Sunni Muslims, and particularly the Bahai.
Please ask President Bush today to lead an international tribunal to indict Ahmadinejad for crimes of genocide.
Ahmadinejad ended his speech much as he did last September, with a prayer for the return of the Mahdi, the Twelfth Imam, whose appearance can only come through an apocalyptic event that would see every nation submit to Islam:
“Oh, Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause.”
Showdown with Nuclear Iran
Chavez followed Ahmadinejad with a diatribe that would have been humorous had it not been for the Iran connection. He blatantly referred to President Bush as “the devil”, and said with great drama, “...it smells of sulfur still today.” Following in the footsteps of his newly-adopted bosom buddy, Ahmadinejad, Chavez told reporters he, too, would like to explore nuclear energy. It is likely that is one of the topics he and Ahmadinejad discussed during the recent state visit to Venezuela, and the meeting of non-aligned nations in Cuba.
It is as chilling to think of nuclear weapons in the hands of Hugh Chavez, or perhaps, Fidel Castro in Cuba, as it is to contemplate them in the hands of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the mad mullahs in Tehran.

The SFT 2006 Values Voter Report
The SFT 2006 Values Voter Report
by
Rob Hood
Not long from now it will be once again time vote on who leads our country and in what direction it will go. When I first formed my site, Stand For Truth, it was a continuation of my book, Issues That Matter:America’s Moral Battleground that released the previous year but there is so much more to it than just a website or a book. Those are the smaller things. I do urge everyone to vote regardless of political party affiliation because America is a free country and we are free to elect our own leaders and that is something that simply should not be taken for granted.
Just as in the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections, there is a lot at stake in this upcoming November election. I have decided to issue the Stand For Truth Values Voter Report for the very first time this since my sideline of column writing and website affiliation. This is simply a guide to candidates that I, Rob Hood, as founder of STAND FOR TRUTH, have endorsed. I have made my decisions based upon what numerous ideals and other group endorsements. The following 2006 candidates will fall into two categories - one will be U.S. Senate, and the other will be for Governor of a state. I have to the best of my ability, researched each candidate’s standing from which I have endorsed them.
The following candidates have been endorsed by my STAND FOR TRUTH project based on their stance on numerous issues. They have been endorsed because they share one or more of these beliefs and have shown to have acted upon those beliefs in the past:
1) Lower taxes benefits everyone
2) Every law abiding citizen is entitled to the guaranteed right to own and bears arms under the Second Amendment of the Constitution
3) The firm belief that we cannot afford to ignore the dangers of terrorism and therefore we must confront the terrorists on their own turf before they come to ours.
4) The firm belief that anyone is free to enter America, so long as they do it legally and that illegal immigration cannot be permitted. We have to secure our borders and confront illegal immigration head on.
5)The fact that our healthcare system needs improvement and that research is to be funded and encouraged more in order to find cures for diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and many other terrible diseases, but we have to do so in a way that is morally ethical, practical, and does not involve taking the life of one to preserve the life of another like embryonic stem cell research does. Adult stem cell research is where the future lies and in that we need to act.
6)Our education system is failing and we need to do something about it.
7) Moral values in America is under attack and we need to preserve these values in order to maintain a morally just society. Such ideas under this topic is the belief that abortion is wrong and it is murder, same-sex marriage is sinful, wrong, and that we need to preserve the traditional family and promote change in America to bring back the good ole days of traditional family values and ethics.
Here are the candidates endorsed by myself under my STAND FOR TRUTH project and by others such as The national Rifle Association, and numerous other groups:
