Gaining Freedom!
The Second Amendment Moves Forward

The issue of Second Amendment rights is one I feel very strongly about this day in age. Yes I am still concerned about the culture war and the war on Christianity right here in America, but the same people on the left that want your Christian traditions and values dead want your traditional American Second Amendment rights dead as well.
The rights of law abiding Americans almost went extinct under the Clinton administration. There was always a constant battle against Second Amendment rights and the Brady laws didn’t help the matter much. Well, that was then when we had a president and his followers who were far left of center. Now we have a president who seeks to do what is right no matter the opposition. President Bush has been a blessing to both traditional conservatives who fought to ban partial birth abortion and other atrocities and has even been a bigger blessing to the American people by upholding the United States Constitution in its original format. In other words he is an originalist and has put two originalists on the Supreme Court who will interpret the law according to OUR constitution and not some foreign law mandated by the UN.
The UN has been itching to ban guns worldwide and has run a pretty good campaign of deception in England, Canada, and Australia. People here in the United States have refused to listen to the UN when it comes to Second Amendment rights because the UN does not have the authority to change our laws. That’s up to our elected leaders, not a foreign diplomat. I still say John Bolton was the best thing to happen to the UN in a long time. I hope he sets them straight on what they can and cannot control and that is Americans’ right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.
I have never been prouder of the National Rifle Association than I am right now. In many states there has been new legislation passed to guarantee a citizen the right to self defense without prosecution which is the way it should be. Under the Clinton Administration the attacker went free while the defender was prosecuted. Not anymore! Now things are like they should be. The right to self defense is so logical that a first grader could understand it, yet some still oppose it. Right now something called the Castle Doctrine is sweeping the nation. This is the proposed legislation to protect one’s self during a hostile situation - like attack, robbery, or rape. Any lady out there should be able to legally defend herself with deadly force if necessary against a rapist. That is exactly what the Castle Doctrine is all about. So far it has passed in my home state of Mississippi and is to be voted on in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New Hampshire,Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Washington, and Wyoming. This act started in Florida. It was because of the NRA that this superb legislation has occurred.
The far left and the UN are appalled by this action of freedom and it shows. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg has started an all out war against the Second Amendment and the Brady bunch are right behind him. They all claim that illegal gun sales are what is making crime so high. However, research shows that whenever gun bans are passed crime rates soar. Look at London. It has a higher crime rate now than it ever did when firearms where in the hands of responsible law abiding citizens. Former (isn’t that great!)liberal leader Paul Martin from Canada cost his country $2 billion dollars on a failed gun ban policy that did nothing at all for the crime rate. As a matter of fact the crime rate has been steadily escalating since his failed policies.
According to the NRA this July 4, there will be a major event happen. Billionaire liberals like George Soros and many left wing anti-gun activists and so called animal rights activists will put together a plan to sabotage freedom guaranteed to us by our founding fathers. Their choice of this sickening parade of silly conspiracy theorists could not have come at a worse time. July 4 is Independence Day. On this day in 1776 we gained our independence so that we could be free and now our own people are trying to destroy the rights given to us by our founders with the help of a very corrupt regime known as the United Nations.
The UN has repeatedly made itself known as an organization that cannot be fully trusted. Remember the supposed sanctions on Iraq after the first gulf war? What sanctions? Most of the Un was helping Saddam, not sanctioning him. In the midst of the war on terror, we found out why they were so opposed to the war in Iraq. They were embarrassed by their dealing with Saddam in the food for oil scandal. France helped him. So did Russia. Russia is still the enemy of the US. They still are helping the Iranians with their nuclear ambitions. Are these the people you want controlling your laws? The UN already wants control of the internet so it can limit free speech. If the UN gains control of the internet, it will be against the law for you to read this article. If they can do that with free speech, think how paranoid the UN must be over armed civilians.
My friends, the 2006 election is nearing and we need to maintain a majority of leaders who have a respect for the law and for the original writings to the United States Constitution. The Second Amendment was given to us as a gift of freedom from our founding fathers who knew what they wanted and how they wanted to live. They fought hard to pursue their dreams of freedom and so should you and I. Don’t let liberal gun hating politicians from either the UN or the US tell you what to do. Let’s tell them what to do in November as we elect someone to replace their hate filled ideologies and crazed conspiracy theories with true freedom that our founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment.

Liberal Plans Backfire...
Friends:
Last night I wrote to you to give you a heads up on the fact that there was a
growing attack on our campaign by the news media and liberal political
activists.
And the good news is that despite their best efforts, their attacks are
backfiring.
Here’s the scoop...
Because they disagree with our support for Operation Iraqi Freedom, the liberal
news media and left-wing political activists are trying to defeat us and have
sunk to the petty level of attacking me because 1 photograph on my website was
mislabeled. The photograph was from our “Voices of Soldiers” tour to Iraq
where we went to support our troops fighting in the war against terrorism.
That 1 photograph in question was labeled “Baghdad, Iraq” when it was in fact
from Istanbul, Turkey (where part of our delegation had a layover on their
return home to the United States).
Once we realized the problem we took down the picture, accepted full
responsibility, apologized and replaced the photograph with one properly taken
of Baghdad.
Yet, like their efforts to smear President Bush with the last minute DUI story
in 2000 or the bogus Dan Rather “Memogate” scandal of 2004 these attacks on my
trip to Iraq are already backfiring.
In the past 24 hours my campaign website has been bombarded with our largest

experienced the entire campaign.

Sinners in the hands of an angry GOP
At a messianic “War on Christians” conference, Tom DeLay warned that “the
future of man hangs in the balance” as other righteous souls demanded that gay
sex be explicitly described to restore “shame.”

Mar. 29, 2006 | Introducing Rep. Tom DeLay at the War on Christians and the
Values Voter in 2006 conference in Washington Tuesday, master of ceremonies
Rick Scarborough described him as “the man God has appointed in this last day.”
The conference began on Monday and was saturated with millennial anxiety. A
succession of preachers, talk-radio hosts, religious right operatives and,
significantly, major Republican politicians took to the stage at the posh Omni
Shoreham hotel to rally the troops for an epic battle between the forces of
national renewal and those of vice and enervating perversion. So it wasn’t
surprising to hear Scarborough, a Baptist preacher who has made it his mission
to organize “patriot pastors” for political action, talk about DeLay’s legal
troubles as part of a culminating war between heaven and hell.
“I believe the most damaging thing Tom DeLay has done in his life is take his
faith seriously in the public office, which made him a target of all those who
despise the goals of Christ,” said Scarborough, a former college football
player and longtime DeLay ally. Taking the stage before the 200 or so adoring
activists in the banquet hall, DeLay ran with the end-times theme. “We have
been chosen to live as Christians at a time when our culture is being poisoned
and our world is being threatened, at a time when sides are being chosen and
the future of man hangs in the balance,” he said. “The enemies of virtue may be
on the march, but they have not won, and if we put our trust in Christ, they
never will.”
A strange mix of dejection and ecstatic expectation pervaded the War on
Christians conference. It was organized by Scarborough’s group, Vision America,
the same outfit that put together last year’s Confronting the Judicial War on
Faith gathering. At a time when the foot soldiers of the right feel weary and
betrayed by the administration they helped put in office, it was meant to rally
the base for 2006 by presenting the election in eschatological terms. The
energy in the room sometimes felt sluggish, and people were clearly worried
about November, forcing their leaders to work all the harder to motivate them
for the political crusade.
“Bush has hurt his own troops very badly with what he’s done on immigration,”
Phyllis Schlafly told me in a room outside the hall. “I think he’s really
destroying his base with his views on bringing in more guest workers.” Others
complained about Bush’s failure to push a constitutional amendment banning gay
marriage. People were shocked that the government America midwifed in
Afghanistan seemed close to executing Christian convert Abdul Rahman. In the
face of lassitude, speakers repeatedly cautioned against giving in to
disillusionment and apathy. They reminded the audience that they are one judge
away from overturning Roe v. Wade. They warned that Christianity is on the
verge of being criminalized in America, and they harped on the manifold dangers
of the “homosexual agenda.”
Perhaps worrying that anti-gay rhetoric hasn’t been sufficiently inflammatory
lately, some speakers urged listeners to start using more scatological and
stigmatizing language. Peter LaBarbera, who heads the Illinois Family Institute
and is known for his obsession with gay men’s most outré sexual practices, told
the audience, “My greatest frustration has been our side’s inability to make
homosexual behavior an issue in the public’s mind.” In order to inspire the
kind of revulsion he wants to see more of, he read from a posting on a gay
message board: “Hey guys, I know this is kind of gross and all, but I was
wondering if I’m the only one. I’m usually the bottom in my relationship with
my boyfriend. After having been the receptive partner in anal sex it’s only a
few hours before I start to experience diarrhea … it really stinks, because I
really like sex, duh, but it takes the fun out of it when I know I’ll be tied
to the bathroom for the next day.”
“I don’t think so-called GLBT teens are told anything like this” by their
school counselors, LaBarbera said. “We need to find ways to bring shame back to
those who are practicing and advocating homosexual behavior.”
These issues are nothing new on the religious right, of course—anti-gay and
antiabortion politics have been central to the movement for decades. But the
sense of crisis among the speakers was especially acute, and the calls to go on
the offensive seemed urgent. Many proclaimed that America’s very survival is at
stake. Some suggested that if the country doesn’t purify itself soon, it might
not deserve to survive at all.
Laurence White, a bearded Lutheran pastor in a clerical collar who followed
DeLay, repeated a quote that he, like many before him, erroneously ascribed to
Alexis DeTocqueville: “America is great because America is good, and if America
ever ceases to be good, America will also cease to be great.”
“My friends,” White said in a stentorian voice like burnished oak, “America is
no longer good. Unrighteousness, evil, corruption, perversion and death are now
standard operating procedure in the United States of America. If we do not put
an end to it now, in this moment of divine destiny, then God will and God
should judge America.”
This was remarkable language to hear at a political forum. Imagine if
Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi gave a conference address that was followed by a
furious condemnation of her country. She would have to scramble to distance
herself from it and would be excoriated in the press regardless. But it’s not
unusual to encounter this kind of thing at one of Scarborough’s events because
they manage to bring together congressmen—this one featured Sen. John Cornyn
and Republican Reps. Todd Akin and Louis Gohmert—with some of the most
radical elements of what was once the right-wing fringe. (Sen. Sam Brownback
was supposed to speak as well, but he couldn’t make it because he was needed
for a vote).
At one point, speaker Herb Titus held up a copy of Kevin Phillips’ “American
Theocracy,” offering it as evidence of the putative war on Christians. It was
an audacious move, given that Sara Diamond, the preeminent scholar of the
Christian right, reported in a 1998 book that Titus was forced to resign his
post as dean of the law school at Pat Robertson’s Regent University because he
refused to renounce Christian Reconstructionism. Christian Reconstructionism is
a theocratic sect that advocates the replacement of civil law with biblical
law, including the execution of homosexuals, apostates and women who are
unchaste before marriage. Christian Reconstructionists used to be politically
radioactive, but a new generation of religious right leaders like Scarborough
have embraced them, and some members of today’s GOP apparently see no problem
associating with them. This does not mean that America is on the verge of
theocracy, but it signals an important shift. The language of relig!
ious authoritarianism has become at least somewhat politically acceptable.
Consider Rod Parsley, Pentecostal pastor of the World Harvest megachurch in
Columbus, Ohio, a broad-shouldered, suntanned man who, like Scarborough, is
emerging as one of the new generation of leaders of the religious right. He was
a major force behind the mobilization for the anti-gay marriage amendment in
Ohio, which in turn helped get out the evangelical vote that put Bush over the
top in that state.
Parsley’s church is nearly half African-American, and he has a talent for
mixing the soaring civil rights rhetoric and rousing call-and-response rhythms
of traditional black preachers with classic populist demagoguery and
exhortations to ostensibly metaphorical violence. When he speaks and shouts,
his words building to alliterative climaxes as his arms wave in the air, sparks
seem to fly off him.
“A spiritual invasion is taking place,” Parsley roared to the packed banquet
hall on Tuesday morning, drawing out the “a” in invasion. “The secular media
never likes it when I say this, so let me say it twice. Man your battle
stations! Ready your weapons!” He paused to take a preemptive jab at his
critics, his voice going soft and scolding: “They say, ‘his rhetoric is so
inciting.’” Then he nearly screamed, “I came to incite a riot! Man your battle
stations! Ready your weapons! Lock and load!”
Parsley preached for a half hour, dabbing at his sweating face with a navy blue
handkerchief as his excitement grew. Near the end, he promised, “A great and
noble and righteous nation can resurrect itself out of the smoldering ash heap
of moral decline that we find ourselves in today.”

The World is full of Liberals...
Equal Rights for Animals?

Believe it or not, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals may have
finally gone too far.
The group, which decries the killing of chickens but apparently has no stand
on the partial-birth abortion of human beings, has decided to suspend its
latest animal rights campaign‹just a few weeks after kicking off its
national tour.
The exhibit went by the bizarre title, ³Are Animals the New Slaves?² It
compared the lynching of black Americans to the killing of animals for food.
Twelve panels showed such images as noosed black men hanging from trees,
juxtaposed with shots of slaughtered cows.
But, even though PETA now appears to be pulling back, the damage has already
been done. The exhibit appeared in 17 cities before PETA decided to put the
campaign on hold.
PETA spokesperson Dawn Carr told the Associated Press, ³We¹re not continuing
right now while we evaluate. We¹re reviewing feedback we¹ve received‹most
of it overwhelmingly positive and some of it quite negative.²
I¹d really like the chance to see those individuals who offered the positive
feedback. Were they on two legs or four?
PETA has certainly had some shenanigans to its credit in the past, but this
latest stunt truly crosses the line. In New Haven, Connecticut, the
situation surrounding the exhibit became so volatile that police had to be
called in. This has to be insensitivity at its highest.
Vakiya Courtney is a vegetarian. But when she saw the PETA display, she
gasped.
Courtney was quoted as saying, ³How can you possibly compare the brutality
that our ancestors experienced hereŠto animal cruelty?²
In an article in the New Haven Register newspaper, Michael Perkins put it
even more bluntly: ³I am a black man! I can¹t compare the suffering of
these black human beings to the suffering of this cow.²
PETA¹s Carr responded in published reports, ³Obviously, the circumstances
are different, but the lack of compassion that allowed humans to be enslaved
and lynched and for women and children to be mistreated is similar to the
lack of compassion that makes it possible for animals to suffer cruelty
today.²
What about the lack of compassion for innocent human babies who fall victim
to abortion? Apparently, that¹s not on PETA¹s radar screen.
Also, where are the calls from the major news media for PETA to discontinue
its outrageous, publicity-seeking tactics? After all, PETA had to
apologize earlier this year when it compared mistreated animals to Holocaust
victims. What does PETA have to do to attract the ire of Katie Couric,
Diane Sawyer, and the rest of the stars in the media universe?
No pet-lover wants to see a beloved dog or cat brutalized‹and there are laws
to punish those who engage in such conduct. And, in America, we¹re
perfectly free to choose whether or not to be a vegetarian.
But PETA doesn¹t seem to believe in free choice when it comes to the lives
of average Americans. Instead, the group wants to dictate not only what
food we put on our tables, but how agri-business does business. It is a
single-issue group that does not seem to have America¹s best interests at
heart.
And it seems that PETA wants to do something else. It¹s fully prepared to
use the pain of slavery and the Holocaust to try to push its questionable
agenda. Comparing a black man to a cow is like yelling ³fire² in a crowded
theater. It¹s not free speech‹it¹s a bomb-throwing tactic which simply
draws feelings of anger and outrage to the surface. In fact, it could
easily be interpreted as inciting violence.

The Bush Bashers’ Reality Check Bounced

Since the beginning of Iraq War II: Electric Boogaloo, liberals and Democrats
maintained that Iraq didn’t have weapons of mass destruction and that anything
Bush said to the contrary had to be a lie. Years went by with little to no
progress on that front and the people who rejected the notion Iraq had WMDs
smugly told us that Bush lied. It didn’t matter what we found, they were right
and the Bush Administration was wrong, perhaps criminally so.
Then, we hit the motherload. Within the past six months, there have been a
number of people, including investigative reporter Richard Miniter and one of
Saddam’s own military officials, who have come forward with hard evidence that
Iraq had WMDs in direct defiance of the 1991 UN cease fire Iraq signed to end
the first Gulf War. If that wasn’t enough, recently released and translated
documents and tapes show that Iraq had WMDs and started talking to Osama Bin
Laden and al Qaeda. The only thing
missing was a Valentine’s Day card from Osama to Saddam “Pooky” Hussein. This
was the slam dunk the Bush Administration had back in 2003 that partisan
critics claimed didn’t exist. And what have these same partisan critics said
now that they’ve been proven wrong since the very beginning?
“Bush lied about Iraq having WMDs.”
What???? We have evidence that Saddam not only had WMDs in direct defiance of
the United Nations, an organization that the left in this country is still
enamored with to the point that I think Maureen Dowd is stalking Kofi Annan.
And these boneheads still maintain Iraq didn’t have so much as a moldy tuna
salad sandwich, let alone a stockpile of chemical, biological, and nuclear
weapons.
At this point, it becomes useful to separate the critics from the merely
critical. Although it may not seem like it, I do consider myself a critic of
the Bush Administration on important issues, such as immigration and Homeland
Security. A part of this requires me to do some homework and think through my
opinions. I have seen quite a few people from both sides of the aisle do just
that and I thoroughly enjoy discussing their points of dissent. To me, and I’ll
wager to them, this sort of
critical eye is healthy for the country because it is well-reasoned and rooted
in wanting us to do well by ourselves and by the world. I have no quarrels with
you folks who have legitimate beefs with the Bush Administration’s handling of
the Iraq situation.
On the other side, we have the merely critical, the partisan attack dogs
willing to malign Bush for anything from jaywalking to not being able to speak
clearly without stumbling. These are people I call Bush Bashers because no
matter what, they are against the President. Well, that, and I have a thing for
alliteration. The thing that separates the Bush Bashers from the critics
referenced above is that reality matters to the critics, whereas the Bush
Bashers have to try to create reality every
time new information that contradicts them comes across the wire.
There seems to be a massive reality disconnect within the Bush Basher ranks,
but there aren’t any clear reasons why. Some claim it’s nothing more than
partisan crybaby tactics from Democrats upset that they’ve lost power. Others
say it’s because their political ideology is a mental disease. I don’t buy this
completely, but given the fact that these same folks thought Al Gore and John
Kerry were brilliant, they might have a point. But, I have a different
viewpoint.
One of the big parts of the modern liberal mindset is an egocentric belief that
liberals are more intelligent and, thus, mostly right about any given subject.
Doubt it? Just ask them. Anyone who disagrees with their learned position,
regardless of how much thought actually went into said position, is seen as
stupid and, thus, not credible. After all, they don’t agree with the smartest
people in the world! How smart could these dissenting speakers be?
As it turns out with the Iraq WMD issue, pretty darn smart.
I’ve tried to keep track of the number of times the Bush Bashers have been
wrong, but I gave up because I couldn’t get the time off work to update the
Bush Bashers Have Been Wrong This Many Times toteboard. But it might have been
easier to do the Bush Bashers Have Been Right This Many Times toteboard
considering they haven’t been right on much, if anything. But it’s still early.
They might be right sooner or later.
But I’m not going to hold my breath waiting. I rather like breathing.
The Bush Bashers are in a vicious circle. The more time that passes, the more
they’re proven wrong. The more they’re proven wrong, the shriller they become.
The shriller they become, the more power and credibility they lose. The more
power and credibility they lose, the more outrageous their statements become.
The more outrageous their statements become, the easier it is to prove them
wrong given time. The easier it is to prove them wrong…well you get the idea.
So, how do you break the cycle?
Admit you were wrong, reevaluate your opinion on whether Bush lied about WMDs
in Iraq, and either come back with proof to support your original position or
to support your new position. America will thank you.
Oh, and see what you can do to put a muzzle on Cindy Sheehan. The only person
more embarrassing to the Bush Basher side has the last name Kennedy.

The Real Trip!
A Virtual Visit to Liberal Land

Let me take you on a guided tour to an un-enchanted world called Liberal Land. This world is far left of the rest of the known world and is often referred to as the “land of the offended” because most of them are always offended by something - usually something insignificant at best. After boarding a plane in the red states, we travel over a sea called the Sea of Tolerance which holds all the murky waters of the world.
Finally we reach our destination, onboard the plane and put on our sunglasses because the sun there is bright blue which is one of the effects of “global warming” I suppose. We have arrived! Now let’s go through all the main attractions and celebrities of this great vast land. The first road we come to is Left Wing Lane. Down this road resides some of the well known libs like Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, and several other anti-Bush, anti-freedom lefties live. We see big houses as results of big profits made by Michael Moore when he sold his Halliburton stock and sued the Police for outing him with his concealed weapon he was caught with while boarding a bus.
The next bumpy ride we take will be right up the road. We take a sharp left turn onto Democrat Drive. On this twisted, curvy, and unpredictable street we find the likes of Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi ,Hillary Clinton, d*** Durbin, John Kerry,and many others who “hate Republicans and white Christians”. We also found a pair of John Kerry’s flip flops lying on the left of the road.
As we come to the end of Democrat Drive we see to our far left a major highway which is famous. It is called Political Correctness Expressway. It is the fastest route to travel when one is confused about language, culture, and common sense. many people travel down this expressway every day. Some are stuck on this road for life, while others have found their way out.
We won’t take the Political Correctness Expressway because it is far to dangerous to travel without professional Right Winger paramedics at our side to bring us out of our confused state of mind.
That ends the tour of this part of town. Now let’s move on to the industrial part of town. The first stop to make here is on Communist Avenue. This side of town is equally dangerous as Political Correctness Highway, but never fear. Most Right Wingers are prepared to fight their way out of this situation. Down this dangerous avenue, we find corporations like the ACLU, People for the American Way, and Move On. While these corporations are very anti-Christian, they seem to be a diminishing threat because no one takes them that seriously anymore. Next we come to a part of town where the Brady Bunch (Brady law) live. It is called Gun Ban Parkway. Here are where the UN Headquarters are to be located in the future. Across the street from them will be the European Union. Also on this street we will find people like billionaire George Soros and some of his anti-gun politicians and some media faces as well. Most of the funding for this park was made possible by Paul Martin of Canada, George Soros, the ACLU, Michael Bloomberg, and some others anti-gun activists in Australia, England, and New York. Generous contributions to Gun Ban Parkway was made in part from the Bill and Hillary Clinton Foundation. The John Kerry Flip Flop till you Drop Fund, and Paul Martin, ouch I’m a smartin’ campaign.
Not too far to the left, we see a street called “Undocumented Immigrant” Road. This is where Political Correctness Drive intersects with Democrat Drive. People from other countries swarm here for jobs because they are free from paying taxes and also have someone else to pay their medical bills when they go to the Emergency Room. On this street you will see many foreign flags and wonder what country you are really in. Tough luck if you get lost. No one here speaks ENGLISH!
Not to far down the road we come to a place well known these days called Ban God Boulevard. On this street there are many gay rights activists, abortion rights activists, and human cloning/embryonic stem cell researchers. The fact of the matter of this street remains that there is a lack of personal responsibility and a total absence of the teaching of right and wrong, good and evil.On this street we see people holding signs that say “Down with the Ten Commandments” and posters like “there is no God, we all came from apes”.
As we near the end of Ban God Boulevard we run into No Israel Meadow. Here we find billboards that promote Hamas, Palestine, Saddam, and many other anti-Israel pundits. The left come here sometimes, but most often stay elsewhere. Only when a Right winger stands up for God’s Chosen people do the left flock here in droves.
Next is a long, narrow, and very crude street called Biased Media Way. Here, companies like The New York Times, CNN, CBS, NBC, and PBS get all of their orders on what to report and what not to report to the American people. They are told daily to bash Bush as much as possible and hide anything positive in Iraq so that Bush does not get ahead of them on anything. Their number one goal from day one has been to sabotage the Bush administration. They almost pulled it off, but their fearless leader was caught reporting fake documents and had to leave.
The last stop we make is on Socialism Trail. This is where businesses are punished because they create jobs that people have to go to. Here everyone is paid by the government for no reason at all. All medical expenses are paid by the wealthiest of people while those who do not want to work accept these generous offers of free medical care, free dental, free housing, and a paycheck.
Well that ends the tour of Liberal Land. The one thing that I have not mentioned is that some college kids and the Supreme Court here are being held hostage on Left Wing Lane and at Democrat Drive. The Red State Army has announced that it has began sending in troops highly skilled in truth-telling, blogging, and internet fundraising. The scheduled date of rescue for the college kids and the Supreme Court is in November of 2006. They will return in November of 2008 to finish the job. The primary goals of this army is to install a new democratic government to replace the ruling party of Liberal Land.
It will happen like this: The Red State Army will:
1)stamp out communism by taking away tax money from ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and other unofficial government installations.
2) Weed out any sign of Political Correctness and arm every citizen with an old dictionary of real world terms.
3) Eradicate any form of socialism and replace it with a more competitive form of modern day capitalism where the public at large benefits.
4) Expose the Media for what they are: liberals with an attitude problem and a dark,evil agenda.
5) Outlaw the “fairness doctrine” and all it stands for and replace it with a constitution that guarantees freedom of speech.
6) tear down the Baal idols of worship and replace them with an unheard of religion called Christianity and instill into the minds of the young and moral right and wrong, a good and an evil.
7) make Israel the center of the world by helping the innocent people reclaim what was given to them by God over 3000 years ago.
8) laugh hysterically about anything related to evolution and replace it with what really happened in the beginning : CREATION!
9) Replace the Brady/Soros/Martin Bunch with people who want real freedom and the right to bear arms. The Red State Army will destroy translate all documents related to something called a “Brady law” by using highly trained Political Correctness Translation Technicians. These outdated and inhumane rulings will be replaced by a constitution that will consist of an amendment that will guarantee all law abiding citizens the right to bear arms.
10) infiltrate “Undocumented Immigrant” Drive and collect billions in unpaid taxes owed by illegal aliens.
These are real goals and were are so close to obtaining them. I hope that this tour of this far away land has helped you realize how lucky you are to live in a free society that can blog freely, worship Jesus Christ and the resurrected Son of God (especially at Christmas) without persecution, and to just be an American. With endless hand-wringing, Democrats bemoan the lack of a cogent message for
the upcoming Congressional elections. They can stop the search. Their
blindingly obvious, central message has long since been established by Senators
Schumer, Kennedy, and Leahy.

The Democratic Party leadership, captured by its extreme liberal wing, have
come to stand (or stoop) for down-in-the-gutter hedonism, for which the
symbolism is abortion ‘rights.’ Along with abortion comes the baggage of
sexual promiscuity, marital infidelity, drug abuse, and the John-Dewey-
pragmatism of Enron’s executives.
Baby Boomer anarchists of the 1960s and 1970s were aptly labeled the “me
generation.” Their self-centered, short-sighted hedonism is also manifested in
their heedless disregard for the crushing tax burden that their Social Security
and Medicare retirement benefits will impose on today’s youth when they reach
adulthood.
New Orleans is a quintessential example of what the Democratic Party’s self-
indulgent welfare-state produces: more than 200,000 people who have no clue
about helping themselves, because they have been corrupted for generations by
the welfare-state. Fittingly, the instinctive proposal of New Orleans’s mayor
for rebuilding the city was to turn its central business district into a huge
gambling joint.
The Democrats have, since the 1930s, been the party of ‘progress.’ In the New
Deal of that day progress meant socialistic materialism implemented by state-
planning under a collectivized government in Washington, DC.
Since the 1960s Democratic Party ‘progress’ has followed the lead of Freudian
theory: human beings are simply one step up from Darwin’s apes, driven by
animal urges to sexual promiscuity. One of award-winning TV producer David E.
Kelley’s characters in “Boston Legal” sums up the liberal view nicely with the
profound observation that people are just sexual animals, so why fight it.
In that view, the entire apparatus of the political state is meant to transfer
responsibility for self-abusive behavior from the individual to the
collectivized state. The message of the Democratic Party, however much its
rank and file may cling to traditional values, is indulge yourself and leave
the driving to us.
This supposedly is the meaning of the Bill of Rights.
Liberals in Hollywood, mainstream media, and Congress genuflect, before
anything else, to the pagan worship of casual sex. Minority Leader Nancy
Pelosi, together with Senator Charles Schumer and his two stalwarts on the
Sentate Judiciary Committee, Teddy Kennedy and Patrick Leahy, have made it
clear that Democrats will not support appointment to office of a Christian or
anyone else who opposes unrestricted abortion. No other criterion matters.
George Washington wouldn’t pass muster with today’s Democratic Party leaders.

This weekend we saw something very disturbing.
Hundreds of thousands of protestors came out to oppose HR 4437, a measure that would “strengthen enforcement of the immigration laws” and “enhance border security.”
One would think that these would be goals that every American would support.
Yet, sadly, we live in a time where certain liberal political leaders are pushing a radical agenda that would eliminate enforcement of our borders and allow greater access to taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens.
It’s part of the Left’s effort to redistribute wealth and replace capitalism with a new brand of pseudo-socialism. And they want full citizenship for illegals - that’s just plain wrong!
Now is not the time for us to back down and allow these advocates of anarchy and a new era of welfare for non-citizens carry the day.
We must raise our voices, which comprise the vast majority of American citizens, and say that we will not tolerate an open, porous border any longer. We will not be bullied into giving away our hard-earned incomes to those who break our laws, enter this nation illegally and then demand free public services.
As you know, I am running for Congress in what has become the most important congressional race in the nation. Our Special Election to fill this vacant seat takes place on April 11th, 2006. Ten Commandments: A Refresher for Hillary Clinton , Cardinal Mahony
Life for American citizens and others here legally has been made far more problematic by the invasion of 20 million illegal aliens, primarily from Latin America, into our great nation. All 20 million are here illegally and are most unwelcome.
The US Congress is considering legislation to address this vexing problem. At stake is the stability and future of America’s homeland security, economy and culture.
To make resolution of this issue more complex, spiritual icons like Hillary Rodham Clinton and Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles have weighed in and expressed opposition to the rigid bill approved by the US House last December.
In fact, Hillary Clinton has launched a new career as a spiritual guru, even going so far as to allege that Jesus Christ could end up in the clinker under terms set forth in the proposed GOP bill.
Cardinal Mahony has stated that he will not obey the law, if codified, and will continue to coddle illegal aliens who have no legal, moral or logical justification for being in America.
While these two apparently see themselves as above the rule of law by virtue of association with the “Big Guy” upstairs, I wonder why they chose to ignore two of the Lord’s most important commandments?
To wit: Commandment 8 states “You shall not Steal” and Commandment 10, in part, states “You shall not desire your neighbor’s house .....or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
Given the fact that illegal aliens steal public services---education, health care, et.---paid for and intended for use by American taxpayers, how can Clinton and Mahony blithely ignore Commandments 8 and 10? Do these commandments not apply to “good-hearted, hard-working” illegal aliens who steal only to have a better life?
Well, here are my suggestions for these two misguided do gooders:
Hillary Clinton: For once in your privileged life, forsake your selfish political ambitions and do what is best for America.
Cardinal Mahony: If you REALLY care about impoverished Mexicans, please move to Mexico. That country is brimming with poor peasants waiting for a chance to invade America. You can prevent them from breaking the law by serving their needs there.… in Mexico.
Once you have saved Mexico, please keep marching south. Nicaragua, Guatemala and all of Latin America has hundreds of millions of peasants just waiting for you and yours!

Conspiracy Theories are often started by and believed by the left.
Conspiracy Susceptibility

In theory, liberals are supposed to be rational materialists who dismiss the
spiritual realm as fiction. Ironically, they are peculiarly vulnerable to the
gnostic mysticism of conspiracy theories.

Conspiracy theories appear among people of all stripes of political, religious,
and social beliefs. But since they 1960s they have been most evident among
liberals.
Today’s exhibit A is the working paper prepared by professors Stephen Walt of
Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and John Mearsheimer of the University
of Chicago. In it they contend that most of America’s major ills can be
explained by the shadowy, but all-powerful, Israeli lobby that controls
American domestic and foreign policy. Were it not for our support of Israel,
they say, Bin Ladin and the bully boys of Al Queda would be on friendly terms
with us.
Such conspiracy theories are the products of an inherent human tendency that is
as old as human society. Early in the Christian era, St. Paul had to contend
with the heresy of gnosticism, a mystical conspiracy doctrine in which there is
a dualism between good and evil, which can be controlled by the special
initiates in the mysteries of gnostic knowledge. The scientism, as opposed to
true science, of socialism is a modern-day variant of gnosticism.
Modern era psychologists look for material factors in contemporary society to
explain this proclivity, because their materialistic field of study is itself a
product of French conspiracy theories that gave socialism and the Revolution of
1789 to the world. Fifty years later Karl Marx explained the problems of the
newly-born industrial age as a conspiracy of the wealthy capitalists to exploit
the workers.
In the 1960s C. Wright Mills wrote about the ‘power elite,’ the conspiracy of
political, military, and industrial leaders who colluded behind the scenes to
control the life of every citizen. In his 1991 movie “JFK” director Oliver
Stone continued the liberal tradition, leaving subsequent generations of poorly
educated American students firmly believing the preposterous theory that
hundreds of thousands of people running the Department of Defense, the FBI, the
CIA, Congressional committees, and the executive branch of the Federal
government colluded to assassinate President John F. Kennedy.
Since 9/11, liberals have flooded the media and the internet with conspiracy
theories is which President Bush controls (or is the puppet of) capitalist
conservatives who instituted the invasion of Iraq to enrich Halliburton, and so
on, ad infinitum.
Why are liberals particularly susceptible to such nonsense?
A major impetus is the nature of political collectivism. By definition
liberalism necessitates aggregating its political subjects into economic and
social classes. The mechanism for doing this is propaganda, as exemplified in
the forty-year pamphleteering run-up to the French Revolution that put
rampaging mobs into the streets. Social and economic classes must be made to
believe that they are the victims of conspiratorial forces in order to justify
punitive action against enemies of the socialist party. Hitler’s National
Socialism would never have gained control of Germany without the propaganda
genius of Joseph Goebbels, the master of the Big Lie.
People must be inculcated with the gnostic belief that only the collectivized
political state can provide their salvation.
The cure for this paranoid perversion is the individualism of Judeo-Christian
religion, not the massively organized churches, but the simple original
elements of the Mosaic Covenant before the advent of kings of Israel, and of
Jesus Christ’s emphasis on every individual’s responsibility to heed His call
to morality and love of humanity, preached by St. Paul in the simple churches
he founded around the Mediterranean.

Open Letter To Those Who Protest On Behalf Of Illegal Aliens
Attention: Illegal Aliens and Advocates:
While illegal aliens and advocates are not known for being
particularly savvy, recent protests in Los Angeles, Phoenix and
Atlanta were exceptionally lacking in common sense and reason.
As reported in the national media, hundreds, or perhaps
thousands, of Hispanic students chose to skip school in favor of
protesting. Unfortunately, Hispanics are chronically at the
bottom of the ladder in scholastic achievement. Suffice it to
say, then, skipping school to protest legislation that would
improve homeland security was unwise and self-defeating.
Hispanics are also at or near the bottom when it comes to
employment and income. Taking off work to protest the rule of
law as concerns illegal immigration is further evidence of a
people in desperate need of sane, intelligent leadership.
Responsible Hispanic leadership would remind illegal aliens and
their advocates of two, non-negotiable truths: 1)this is NOT
Mexico, and 2) the United States is a sovereign nation that
operates in accordance with the rule of law.
Further, no one, be it an educated scientist or a third-world
cleaner of toilets, has any right to cross America’s borders
illegally. America’s borders and immigration laws govern access
to the nation and must be complied with.
Those who enter America illegally are outlaws, regardless of
reason. Millions of people across the world want to come to
America in pursuit of a better life. All are required to stand
in line and wait their turns.
What possible justification could there be for allowing
unskilled, non-English speakers from Latin America to “cut in”
ahead of those who are following the rules and obedient to the
law?
Again, America operates in accordance with the rule of law.
So, too, does Mexico. At least when it comes to handling
illegals stealing INTO that nation. Mexican officials are savvy
enough to know the folly of rewarding illegals with driver’s
licenses, in-state tuition, and similar nonsense.
Rather, in Mexico, the government simply jails and deports
illegal aliens as soon as possible. With out debate or delay!
Why should America treat illegal aliens any differently that
Mexico does?
In summary, illegal aliens have no legal, moral or logical basis
for being in America. They are a huge drain on public services
paid for by American taxpayers and are unwelcome in the US.
All illegal aliens currently here should leave voluntarily or be
deported.
Your protests are helping to open the eyes of millions of
American citizens who will ultimately force our leaders to act
in a manner consistent with the best interest of America.
Seeing thousands of illegal immigrants and advocates marching
with Mexican flags really helps Americans understand the
urgency of ending and reversing the invasion of America by
third-world illegal aliens.
Do it again and again! And do not forget the Mexican flags

It’s an interesting political strategy. Especially with the Democrat Party’s
left-wing attempting to make inroads within the so-called Red States,
especially in the Bible Belt. After all, they believe conservative Christians
are as dumb as dirt and only need to be tricked into believing the Dems are
Bible-toting moralists who believe in running the country the way Jesus would
run it. While liberals accuse conservatives of using religion to further their
agenda, it is the liberals who
selectively insert religion when it suits their purposes.
Recall Howard Dean during his run for the Democrat Party nomination for the
presidency: The media darling’s Dean Machine actually told Americans they were
going to get religious when Dean campaigned in the southern states. In other
words, Howard Dean told southerners he was coming to shuck and jive them into
believing he was in touch with Jesus. It was his infamous “God, guns and gays”
moment in history.
Sen. Clinton’s recent use of the Scriptures had the minions of the news media --
a relatively godless bunch—hopeful that she was getting over on the
American people. Here was the liberal-left Joan of Arc attacking her opposition
using their own weapon. However, conservative Christians aren’t as dumb as
these heathens believe. Say what you will about Bible-believing Christians,
they know sin when they see it. And they know a flim-flam man—or woman—
when they hear one.
When I heard Hillary talking Scripture—or attempting to talk Scripture—
during her anti-anti-illegal immigration tirade, my first reaction was: Where
in the Bible does Jesus talk about illegal aliens? Perhaps it’s in the section
of the Bible that has Jesus teaching his apostles about women’s reproductive
rights. The Bible does speak of the sin of shedding of innocent blood. And who
are more innocent than unborn babies? But don’t go there when discussing
Biblical principles with a liberal.
To them, as with the US Constitution, the Bible is a “living, breathing
document” open to extraordinary interpretation and even total legal invention.
The Bible does speak of government briefly in Romans chapter 13. But it
stipulates a government—and an ideology—diametrically opposed to
Clintonism. Hillary Clinton is a socialist in moderate’s clothing. A power
hungry politician who’s thirst for the presidency is exceeded only by her
ignorance of the Bible. Like her husband, who was seen during MonicaGate
leaving a church with a big ol’ King James Bible under his arm, Hillary views
the Bible as just another political prop.
But the liberal-left are not totally to blame for their bizarre view of Bible
verses. How can they know what the Bible teaches when they rely on clergy such
as Rev. Jesse Jackson ("Jesus was a homeless person."), Rev. Al Sharpton and
Rev. Joseph Lowery. These are the spiritually- dysfunctional shepherds of the
Democrat Party flock. They are the epitome of the blind leading the blind.
When President Bill Clinton was caught literally with his pants down, his
choice for spiritual counselor was a
cleric who used his organization’s donations to payoff a woman who had his
child out of wedlock.
Liberals love to interpret the Bible and they interpret its verses the same way
they interpret the US Constitution. In both, they see an inherent right of
foreigners to violate immigration law. It’s right next to the where it says
women have a right to murder their unborn children. And right next to where it
says “Bush lied.”

Russians Gave Saddam US War Plans

The Pentagon firmly believes that the Russian government gave Iraq President
Saddam Hussein United States strategic war plans for the invasion of Iraq.
The Fox News Channel is reporting that the Pentagon believes the Russians had a
“mole” in CentCom (US military’s Central Command) who passed on secrets to the
Russians who in turn passed on intelligence to Saddam’s regime.
Documents confiscated by US forces after the Iraq invasion revealed
communications between Russian government officials and the Iraqi military high-
command before the March 2003 invasion by coalition forces. According to the
Pentagon, the communications included handwritten notes.
According to a Moscow journalist, documents from Saddam Hussein’s leadership
released by the US government reveal that the Russian ambassador to Iraq
disclosed the US war plans to Saddam and his commanders.
Two documents dated March 2003, on the eve of the US-led invasion described
details of the US military strategic and tactical plans.
One of the documents is a handwritten account of a meeting between the Russian
ambassador Vladimir Teterenko and Iraqi military and diplomatic officials. The
document details his description of the composition, size, location and type of
US military forces arrayed in the Gulf and Jordan.
The document also includes the deployment numbers of tanks, armored vehicles,
different types of aircraft, missiles, helicopters, aircraft carriers, and
other forces and also their exact locations. The ambassador also described the
positions of two Special Forces units, according to ABC News.
The second document is a typed account, signed by Deputy Foreign Minister
Hammam Abdel Khaleq, which states that Teterenko told the Iraqis that “the
United States was planning to deploy its force into Iraq from Basra in the
South and up the Euphrates, and would avoid entering major cities on the way to
Baghdad,”
According to Pentagon, this is exactly what happened. The documents also state
that “Americans are also planning on taking control of the oil fields in
Kirkuk.” The information was obtained by the Russians from “sources at U.S.
Central Command in Doha, Qatar,” according to the document.
This document also includes an account of an incident in which several Iraqi
Army officers (presumably seeking further elaboration of the US war plans)
contacted the Russian Embassy in Baghdad and stated that the ambassador was
their source. This caused great embarrassment to Teterenko, and the officers
were instructed “not to mention the ambassador again in that context.”
Teterenko is mentioned in documents released by the Volker Commission, which
investigated the Oil for Food scandal, as receiving allocations of 3 million
barrels of oil — worth roughly $1.5 million.
While the recently released documents are being analyzed by several news
organizations and intelligence think-tanks, there exists a classified version
of the Pentagon report, titled “Iraqi Perspectives Project,” which is not being
released to the public.
These disclosures go far in explaining other events that have occurred in Iraq
just prior to the invasion that toppled Saddam’s regime. For example, sources
have claimed that the saw plainclothes Russian military personnel helping with
the transport of materials across the Iraq border into Syria. Several
intelligence analysts have claimed some of the materials may have been chemical
and/or biological weapons.
In addition, former Iraqi Air Force General, Georges Sada, has repeatedly
claimed that the Russian military cooperated with Iraq in an advisory capacity
and that the Russians were in Iraq right up to the time the invasion began.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also alarmed about the impact of foreign
spies within the United States, especially Chinese and Russian operatives. The
Russians have infiltrated both government and private sector organizations. The
FBI are suspicious of Russia, Iran, and North Korea but have focused mostly on
the Chinese. The feds estimate that the are over 2,600 Chinese front companies
in the US.
These new disclosures, plus reports already reviewed, highlight the belief of
many that Russia is not an ally or friend of the United States. As we pursue
curtailing Iran’s nuclear weapons program, the Russia is the last country we
should trust to broker a deal.

What Happens When the Church Stops Believing in God?

Not too long ago I received a letter from Answers in Genesis, a creation ministry in which I am a supporter. Now I knew that there were those out there that did not believe the Genesis account of creation, but instead believed in evolution. No one says that we have to believe in a certain thing because we are a free country that has the right to express whatever belief we have. However, church is different. Sure freedom of expression is there too, but I would have never believed what I read next in that letter.
On February 12, 2006, over 400 congregations in 49 states participated in the 197th anniversary of Darwin. Some congregations passed out materials written by Dr. Eugene Scott, an atheist of all people. What was an atheist doing leading church congregations on a day like this? It was reported that 10,250 clergy signed a letter called The Clergy Letter Project led by Professor Michael Zimmerman of the University of Wisconsin. The whole purpose of the letter was to promote evolution on a day he referred to as “Evolution Sunday”.
Now over 10,000 pastors are confused and are confusing others - particularly youth and children by claiming that Christianity and “science”, or evolution are compatible. The fact of the matter is that evolution and Christianity are not compatible. Not only that, but they are complete opposites and you cannot believe both. You either believe one or the other.
Dr. Richard Dawkins, a known atheist from Oxford University hosted a television program in the UK. His claims were that fundamentalist Christians were attacking science which could not be further from the truth. Christians use science in a way that is good, moral, ethical, and helpful to humanity which excludes evolution because evolution is not science. It’s a theory and in some cases is to be looked at as science fiction. My former pastor once said “ If evolution is real, then maybe we need to start apologizing to the monkeys for our behavior”.
Not only did Dr. Dawkins misrepresent what Christians believe about science, but he compared them to terrorists by quoting the well known songs “Onward Christian Soldiers” and “Stand Up for Jesus ye soldiers of the Cross”.What gets me is the fact that there are churches out there that have been brainwashed by this unreasonable untruthful propaganda. Christianity is under attack and we must not believe those who are doing the attacking, lest we become like them.
So what can you and I do? For one thing we can keep our faith and reject the teachings of those who despise us for our faith. We can pray and minister to those who view us in these ways and tell them the message of salvation. I know that not all of us are called to be missionaries but under Jesus’ command, or the Great Commission, we are to go out into the world and preach the gospel. I am no preacher, but I do support these organizations like Answers in Genesis and many others who fight daily to keep the word of God alive in a culture who wishes it dead. I urge you to do the same.

The ‘Triumph’ of Socialism

France, the birth-place of socialism, is now living socialism’s logical end-
game.

Mobs in the streets of France, led by university students, are smashing store-
fronts, burning automobiles, barricading streets, and their labor union buddies
are threatening a syndicalist general strike.
The occasion for this fulmination is the proposed enactment of a first-job
contract law that would permit businesses to fire a worker under the age of 25
for any reason during his first two years of employment.
These reactions are idiotic. Students are rioting against legal action to make
it easier for them to get jobs, a process with limited prospects of success
today.
Unemployment overall is somewhere well north of 10% and nearly 25% among people
under age 25.
The reason for this is, in short, socialism.
More specifically, the problem is similar to what labor unions working with
welfare-state government have created in the United States. Employers are
reluctant to hire new workers full time, resorting to temp agencies instead,
because union contracts and government regulations make hiring full-time
extraordinarily expensive and layoffs both costly and time consuming.
France’s proposed first-job contract law was intended to diminish this punitive
burden and thereby to encourage employers to hire more young people.
This, however, is only the tip of the iceberg. Even for those fortunate enough
to have jobs, the French economy is in worse shape than any of the other majors
in Europe. And this is just what the French seem to desire, because the idea
of free-market competition, the only route to innovation and job growth, is
regarded as American barbarism.
The French, in effect, don’t want cradle-to-grave government benefits; they
want to be embalmed and laid to rest at birth.
As Alexis de Tocqueville wrote in the 1850s, after half-a-century of socialism
in France, the French had become a nation of self-centered people, heedless of
the greater good of society, intent only upon getting their prescribed
government benefits, and prepared to endure any degree of despotism, so long as
the benefits arrived.

The Whole Truth...
Democrats Still Bent on Destroying Country

In yet another idiotic, country-damaging and self-destructive move, the New
Mexico Democrat Party is calling for President Bush’s removal from office.
Instead of citing anything that even remotely addresses anything that
approaches “high crimes and misdemeanors”, the NM Democrat Party issued the
statement that the call for the president’s removal is due to its “perceived
abuses of power and corruption in the Bush administration.” That’s “perceived”
abuses…the NM Democrat Party’s “perception”.
It further amended the NM Democrat Party platform to include: “Resolved, that
the Democratic Party of New Mexico supports the impeachment of President George
Bush and his lawful removal from office.” Holy smokes! This is embarrassing and
increasingly deranged behavior.
This lunacy, coupled with already-disgraced Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) work
toward the president’s impeachment and leftist Democrat Sen. Russ Feingold’s (D-
WI)—who is also a 2008 Democrat presidential candidate hopeful—calling for a
censure of President Bush (for his protecting the country from terrorists) not
only reeks of political partisanship and a bid for the large leftist groups’
deep-pockets funding, but almost begs for the Islamo-fascists to “hit us
again!” The terrorists know that if
they can just get rid of the true warrior President Bush and enough appeasing
Democrats are placed into office, most of their work will be done.
Note: Feingold has also voted against protection of the US from terrorists,
including any and all aspects of the Patriot Act.
The Democrats hatred of President Bush, for having had the audacity to be
elected to the presidency twice, has reached a fever pitch. As “we the people”
elected him, the Democrats would probably like to impeach us, too! Don’t forget
that the Democrat Party’s “leaders” don’t believe the general American
citizenry has the capacity or intellect to think for themselves. Therefore,
they’ll do the “thinking” for us.
If ever a political Party has lost its collective mind, it is the one populated
by those who call themselves Democrats. In time of war, they are working to
destroy the US’ leader and in so doing, giving carte-blanche to terrorists’
activities. They are also giving “aid and comfort to the enemy”, by attempting
to destroy the man who is aggressively working to protect the country—legally—
from those who committed their Acts of War against the United States of America
on 11 September 2001.
Are these Democrats really ones that any sane and rational human being would
want running any aspect of the country? Absolutely not. Let’s just hope and
pray their madness becomes widely known to the voting public before November
2006—and most certainly before 2008. And will someone please tell them that
President Bush won’t be running for president again?

Iranians Training Bombers, Terrorists for Iraq War

The British government has shown American intelligence officials information
indicating that Iran is operating “training camps” for bombers who carry out
terrorist attacks on coalition forces, Iraqi security forces and civilians. It
appears that the training is accelerating in order to create havoc and
destabilize the fledgling Iraqi government.
Previously, the British accused Iran of being accessories in the killings of
soldiers using sophisticated explosive devices. But intelligence officers go
much further by saying the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which has close links
to the government, is teaching Shia fighters to make the bombs in Iran and then
they’re transporting them across the border into Iraq.
The charges came after Iraqi and coalition forces discovered unexploded devices
and submitted them to ordinance experts. A forensic examination of the bombs is
being made in Baghdad which military experts believe will aid in devising
security measures and may also reveal evidence of an Iranian signature. The
armor-piercing, infrared bombs have reportedly killed dozens of US and British
soldiers.
Government officials in Britain have accused the Iranians of tactical
involvement in Iraq as a result of what Tehran perceives as Western bullying
over the nuclear issue. It’s also to believed the Iranians wish to keep US and
British forces tied down in Iraq to avert a possible attack on Iran. Iran has
vehemently denied the accusations and has claimed instead that Britain is
pressuring Iran over its nuclear program by publicizing the bombing incidents.
The revelations of the alleged Iranian involvement made by defense and
diplomatic sources in Iraq was compelling and detailed. The military says they
are “trying to counter the bomb threat by training the trainers and the
[Iranians] are doing the same. People are being trained [in Iran] and then slip
back into Iraq, 10 at a time, to train others maybe 50 at a time.”
Intelligence reports strongly suggest that terrorist training camps are being
run in Iran and Lebanon, and that there is some intelligence that suggests
there are camps in Syria. Forensic examinations of explosive devices shows that
the technology has been “proliferating,” leading to a drastic rise in attacks
on soldiers which now average more than three per week.
US, British and Iraqi security forces have uncovered caches of weapons
including over 60 rockets, mortars and landmines, as well as the Iranian-made
infrared explosive devices. Intelligence officers believe weapons are being
stashed by insurgents throughout Iraq in the hopes of initiating a major
insurgency offensive. And Iran gains time to continue their nuclear weapons
program by helping to keep coalition forces bogged down in Iraq.

Saddam General: Newsweek Translation of Saddam Tapes Wrong

Former Iraqi Air Force Gen. Georges Sada claims that Newsweek’s translation of
some of Saddam Hussein’s tapes is wrong. Newsweek reported that the Saddam
tapes include statements that there were no weapons of mass destruction in
Iraq.
Speaking on Fox News Channel, General Sada said that the tapes were not
translated correctly and his translation is that Saddam Hussein did have WMD.
Why would Newsweek publish an erroneous story? Sada believes they used
unqualified translators who confused Arab dialects. Others believe Newsweek may
have a vested interest in perpetuating the story that Iraq had no WMD.
General Sada also says that chemical or biological weapons were flown to Syria
in 56 flights, but was unable to confirm it.
General Sada’s allegations are confirmed by others. A Pentagon official, John
A. Shaw, who was responsible for keeping track of Iraq’s weapons programs,
claims that special Russian troops in civilian clothes supervised the transfer
of Saddam’s WMDs into Syria. An Israeli general, Moshe Yaalon, has made a
similar claim. The general in charge of Pentagon spy satellites has admitted
observing large truck convoys from Iraq to Syria before the war began.
Yet most of the 2 million documents have not been explored or even translated.
It’s almost as if the CIA and the Pentagon don’t want to know what they
contain.
According to the Boston Herald, the CIA’s clandestine war against the White
House means the agency cannot be trusted for an honest account of what’s in
this material.
Many believe that Congress should make sure that an independent body, with no
ax to grind, checks the documents and releases every last one that can be made
public safely.

God's Wrath
The Wrath of God

No one who questions God’s retributions for sin, as well as His bounties, can
lay claim to faith in the Judeo-Christian religious beliefs repeatedly
proclaimed in the Bible’s Old Testament and New Testament, the faith upon which this nation was founded.

John Lawrence’s two postings (see Tolerance vs. Acceptance) point to the need to restate some basic understandings repeatedly affirmed in the Bible.
From one point of view, the Old Testament can be summarized as often repeated
cycles of calls by God, through the prophets, for Israel’s repentance of sin,
followed by Divine retribution for their failure to live up to their side of
the Mosaic Covenant.
Between the birth of Abraham (Abram) in 2166 BC and the Crucifixion of Jesus
Christ in approximately 30 AD there were many periods of prosperity and justice
among the people of Israel, interspersed with calamities inflicted by weather
and invading armies. Most of the latter were foretold, often many decades
ahead, by prophets who admonished the people to turn back from the ways of sin
into which they had drifted, or to face the consequences. Conquests by the
empires of Assyria, Babylon (the captivity and transportation away from the
promised land), and Persia were foretold, as well as the release of the
Israelites to return to their land by Cyrus, the ruler of Persia.
The prophets’ warnings of doom always were coupled with messages of God’s
providence if and when the people should return to Him.
These events are not some sort of mythology made up, as Marx would have it, to
enable the powerful to subjugate the masses. They are more than 2,000 years of
history, in the sense both of recounting actual events, as well as of the Jews
understanding who they were as a people. They are the unfolding experiences of
real people living in the world and seeking to live happy lives within a
society of justice and righteousness.
Exodus from Egyptian bondage is both literally and symbolically a confrontation
between God (Yahweh) and the cosmological religion of Egypt, in which the
Pharaoh was both the representative of divine power on earth and a divinity
himself. Pharaoh repeatedly refuses Moses’s pleas to allow his people to leave
Egypt and worship Yahweh. Each time God inflicts massive punishments on the
Egyptian people, until finally Pharaoh implicitly admits that his gods have
been defeated by Yahweh and tells Moses to leave with his people. The final
stroke occurs at the Red Sea crossing, when the Israelites make it through the
waters, but Pharaoh’s troops are drowned.
This symbolism is the meaning of the Old Testament history of the Jewish
people. When the people obey the Word of God and live righteously, God will
deliver them from evil. When they turn away, disaster is around the corner.
The mystery of God’s creation of, and His presence in, the universe are quite
beyond the limited capacities of the human mind to see face-to-face. But God
from time to time revealed aspects of His Being to Old Testament prophets and,
in the New Testament, through His incarnation in Jesus Christ. If you feel
more comfortable with contemporary terminology, think of God providing
inspirations (literally breathing-in the source of Truth and life) of the
highest principle of social and political order.
In our society today, there is no question that far too many people have
abandoned God and the path of righteousness to worship material things Ð wealth
and power. We are now paying the price in the accelerating disintegration of
our nation, founded on Christian principles, into a cultural civil war.
None of us can foretell the future, but common sense should tell us that
continuation of worshipping hedonism and materialism will leave us sitting
ducks for whoever our conquerors will be.

Personal privacy invasion is one the top hot topic issues of the day. People are going to great lengths to make sure their personal medical and financial records stay just that - personal and private. Identity theft is an ever growing career among modern techno-criminals. Criminals no longer have to march into a bank wielding a gun demanding money. Now they rely on the internet and modern day technology for their method of robbery.
Corporations now share buyer information like never before to gain knowledge of what consumers are most interested in. The method by which all of this takes place, including how we do our banking and grocery shopping is about to change. Earlier this year I came across a book on Amazon called Spychips by Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre. The book features need to know information about the way technology is changing not only our personal lives, but how it changes the way corporations do business and about how we purchase things. I personally recommend the book to everyone regardless of religious or political status.
As many of you may read my columns, you know me a strict conservative Christian who most often than not opposes anything to do with the ACLU, the UN, EU, or the American liberals. However, my personal disagreements end here with the spychips story. With this article I am putting aside my personal religious and political stances to ask everyone, Christian or not, conservative and liberal, Democrat and Republican to realize what is at stake with Radio Frequency Identification or simply RFID.
Years ago human micro-chip implants were only something we saw in movies or read about in books, but with today’s modern nano-technology available to the smartest engineers in the world, we now see it becoming reality. A company called Verichip (www.verichipcorp.com)is manufacturing a small micro-chip to be used as a human implant for industrial, medical, and military purposes. It is also being used in animals.
There is a site called Home Again Pets (www.homeagainpets.com) now selling microchips to be implanted in pets in case they are lost. The owner can track the whereabouts of these pets. According to their site, there are about 20,000 in use now and more available at veterinarians offices in the near future. As a matter of fact the USDA is now wanting farmers and breeders to have RFID microchip implants in livestock, poultry, and other animals for the purpose of location and identification. Not only this, but there is a proposal on the table to make this mandatory by 2009. So where do humans fit in? Are we next?
People are already being implanted (voluntarily) with these RFID chips in hospitals for the purpose of identification. So are soldiers in the military and company employees in major corporations, for security identification purposes. Not only that, but now banks are wanting to do the same. Some in Europe are proposing an RFID Personal ID Card that can be scanned like a credit card. Next will be an implant to replace the card. Ever heard of the coming cashless society? It could be closer than you think. Microchip implants could take the place of currency, checks, and even credit cards leaving some people, particularly Christians very nervous.
Why do this leave Christians nervous you ask? In the last book of the Bible, Revelation, we are told that the Anti-Christ who will appear before the end of the world will require a mark on the right hand or forehead of all before they can buy or sell. A microchip implant sounds very suspicious. Right now we know that these RFID chips are not mandatory, but what would keep future leaders from changing that?
These RFID microchip implants are supposed to be pain free and safe, but the FDA has raised questions over the safety of these chips. Among the hazards were electrical shock, MRI incompatibility, and adverse tissue reaction. I can imagine that mostly minor health risks go along with this procedure, but I still would not want to be tagged like an animal and kept track of.
Recently I have contact Liz McIntyre, the co-author of Spychips and have asked her some basic questions about this RFID Technology and what it means to the average American. Here is the interview:

1) What first made you made you get involved in research of RFID
technology and the Verichip?
LIZ MCINTYRE
I found out about the technology while researching patent documents. I
had stumbled upon a scheme to target grocery store shoppers with coupons
based on their historical purchases?whether or not they presented a
supermarket loyalty card. I figured the best way to learn the mechanics
of the coupon system was to look at the associated patents. While doing
that research, I found a cache of scandalous documents outlining ways
that RFID could be used to track people and create an inescapable
surveillance grid. Many of these blueprints relied on using RFID in ways
that would be invisible to the public. I felt a responsibility to share
my findings with the world in hopes of heading off this planned future.

2) What inspired you and Katherine Albrecht to write Spychips?
LIZ MCINTYRE
We had to write “Spychips” after we realized how major corporations and
government agencies were planning to broadly deploy RFID technology
despite consumer concerns. The industry’s own studies showed that 78
percent of people surveyed around the world objected to the technology
on privacy grounds once they knew what it was and how it could be used
against them.
One very influential document for me was an IBM patent application
titled “Identification and Tracking of Persons Using RFID-tagged
Items."(U.S. Patent Application #20020165758)
In this patent application, IBM inventors envision the day when every
manufactured product contains an RFID tag with a unique identification
number--like a Social Security number for things. These unique numbers
are then “registered” to the people buying RFID-tagged items when they
pay for them with a credit card or some other form of identifiable
payment--payment other than anonymous cash. Then later when these tags
are detected by an RFID reader in the environment, IBM inventors say
marketers could know the exact identity of the people carrying them or
something about the people, and flash targeted advertising.
This would upset many consumers, but it goes beyond marketing. IBM
inventors say the government could track people through their RFID tags
using a device they call the “person tracking unit.” This device can
zero in on RFID tags and track people in public places. IBM names some
of these places in its patent application: shopping malls, airports,
train stations, bus stations, libraries, theaters, sports arenas,
museums, elevators, and even restrooms.

3) How did you and Katherine Albrecht meet and get involved in this together?
LIZ MCINTYRE
Katherine and I met about 7 or 8 years ago when I was a financial
columnist writing as the MoneyMom(R.) I interviewed her for a story
about the downsides of supermarket loyalty cards--her passion at that time.
Then about 4 years ago, I contacted her once again to tell her about the
supermarket tracking technology I had stumbled upon and shared the
scandalous documents I had unearthed at the United States Patent and
Trademark Office. I told her that I planned to write a book with the
information to get the word out to the public. She thought it was a
great idea since she had been pondering a book, too, and suggested we
write it together. The rest is history.

4) What exactly does CASPIAN do and why should people get involved or
keep up with the latest RFID news that concerns CASPIAN?
LIZ MCINTYRE
CASPIAN is an international grass roots consumer organization founded by
Katherine Albrecht in 1999. We seek to educate consumers about marketing
strategies that invade their privacy and to encourage consumers to
practice privacy-conscious shopping habits across the retail spectrum.
CASPIAN has members in all fifty U.S. states and in over thirty
countries worldwide.

encroaching RFID threat. We need everyone to tell friends, family,

4) Do you think that Verichip and other RFID projects are an invasion of
personal privacy and why?
LIZ MCINTYRE
The VeriChip and RFID projects are not themselves an invasion of
privacy (though that kind of power is hard to resist abusing). Rather,
the planned *uses* of the technology threaten our privacy and civil
liberties. While companies planning to use RFID technology have told
consumers they only have their best interests in mind, we have found
evidence otherwise and lay it out in our book “Spychips.” We’ve caught
major companies like IBM, Procter & Gamble, NCR, and Bank of America
red-handed with plans to track people.

5) Many Evangelicals are somewhat suspicious of Verichip because they
see it as the possible “Mark of the Beast” as described in the Book of
Revelation of the Bible. What is your opinion about this theory?
LIZ MCINTYRE
My co-author Katherine Albrecht and I have addressed the connection
between RFID technology and widely-held Christian beliefs in another
book titled “The Spychips Threat: Why Christians Should Resist RFID and
Electronic Surveillance.” Many Christians see the technology as
potentially offering a fulfillment of the prophesies of John in the last
book of the Bible. Revelation 13:16-18 predicts a time when people will
not be able to buy or sell unless they receive a mark:
[The beast] causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and
that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of
the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17)
We do not believe the current incarnation of RFID is the “mark of the
beast” prophesied by John in Revelation 13. However, we are particularly
uneasy about discussions of implantable RFID “identity verification”
devices such as the VeriChip and RFID-based numerical payment systems
such as the Mobil Speedpass and the Timex Speedpass watch. When these
technologies converge, humankind may well have developed something that
looks surprisingly similar to the mark of the beast predicted so long ago.

6) How possible is it that sometime during the next 20 years or less
that we could see a major change in the way we make everyday purchases
and could we become an international “cashless” society who pays for
everything electronically?
LIZ MCINTYRE
Very possible. RFID could be instrumental in that move because
spychipped payment devices are being marketed as convenient cash
replacements for low-cost items--no more digging in the pocket for
change for things like packs of gum. Spychipped credit cards can be read
right through purses and wallets.
If we fall for these schemes to use payment devices in lieu of cash, the
government will have a basis for eradicating cash.
Cash: Use it or lose it.

7) We already know that the Verichip is being used in medical,
industrial, security, and possibly military application and some people
are implanting chips into their bodies as we speak on their own free
will. How long do you actually think it will take before this becomes
mandatory and takes the place of paper documents like Driver’s License,
Social Security card, Credit cards, etc? Do you think that major corporations, military, or other places will
require a Verichip implant or something similar for a security pass into
their facilities?
Right now the VeriChip is a “voluntary” system, but that could change.
The VeriChip Corporation has been in talks with the Pentagon about
replacing military dog tags with the chips. Since our men and women in
uniform often have to yield their bodies to military requirements--case
in point, vaccines--we suspect they would be required to comply with a
VeriChipping order or face a court-martial.
But even if the VeriChip system remains “voluntary,” that won’t
necessarily mean taking a chip is completely optional. Consider the
case of the Cincinnati company CityWatcher that has asked its employees
who need to access a video storage room to get chipped. Two have already
been chipped and the others are allowed to carry the VeriChip in a
plastic case that dangles from a keychain.
Supposedly, no one will be fired for failing to take the chip. *But*
there must be tremendous pressure to get chipped in an environment where
the boss has installed a shiny new VeriChip system, and he is walking
around showing everyone the place on his arm where he “took one for the
team.” An employee would always have to wonder about how rejecting
implantation would affect his annual review and promotions. I imagine it
would be awkward working in that kind of an environment.
What if your health insurance company offers a 15 percent discount to
insureds who get chipped or denies coverage to unchipped individuals?
I’m sure we could think of an endless stream of scenarios in which
“voluntary” chipping could be so compelling as to push it into the
“required” category.

8) How concerned should Americans be concerned about Verichip implants
and their own financial security? Can this lead to further problems with
identity theft greater than what we already see or will this technology
have a harder code to break?
LIZ MCINTYRE
Let’s hope people reject VeriChip implants so they don’t have to be
concerned about this. I see this technology as another avenue for
criminal enterprise.
Anytime personal information about us is stored in a database, we should
be very concerned, and the VeriChip will spawn new databases and new
database information. Even with the best of security, systems can be
hacked and abused. The recent ChoicePoint data grab is a good example.
But there are additional concerns with a remotely readable device like
the VeriChip, as demonstrated by security researcher Jonathan Westhues.
Westhues, who wrote a chapter on hacking RFID proximity cards for an
Addison-Wesley book, has demonstrated how he can clone the unique number
on a VeriChip within seconds by simply bumping into a chipped person
with his homemade number-gleaning device. He can then replay that unique
number to VeriChip readers and pretend to be that person.
The VeriChip is also being used as a payment device when linked to a
credit card, so we have to wonder what this cloning will mean for the
handful of people who are using it for that purpose.

9) How does Verichip implants play into the role of the government
keeping tabs on law abiding citizens. we know they will have access to
medical records, financial records, and other such data as well as
personal data like where we go, what we do, what we say, etc. Is this a
great issue to be concerned about?
LIZ MCINTYRE
Yes. The government is already using records collected by private
enterprise to go on fishing expeditions into the private lives of
Americans, as we document in “Spychips.” (see pages 194-7) We have no
reason to believe the government would treat our RFID/VeriChip data any
differently.

10) Many RFID companies blame your group CASPIAN for legislation passed
that prohibits retailers from collecting data about what products that
consumers are buying. I suppose some are kind of angry that CASPIAN
opposes RFID. Do people who oppose this Verichip implant technology
usually see a high degree of lawsuits or even persecution from
corporations that wish to use these techniques? Should we be watchful of
these companies and their activities and should we be careful what we
say about Verichip? I do suppose someone is watching the internet
chatter on this subject.
LIZ MCINTYRE
So far no law has been passed prohibiting retailers from collecting RFID
data, to the best of my knowledge. Legislation requiring labeling of
products with RFID tags and similar surveillance devices has been
introduced in several states. Our best hope right now lies with HB203 in
New Hampshire.
In a nutshell, the HB203 seeks the following:
A. Requires labeling to indicate when items contain RFID tags: “No
consumer product or identification document, to which a tracking device
or devices have been affixed or implanted, shall be sold or offered for
sale or provided to a consumer without a label containing a universally
accepted symbol. This requirement shall also apply to any packaging
relating to an individual consumer product or identification document
that may contain a tracking device. A single such label may be used on a
product or identification document that contains more than one tracking
device.”
B. Restricts the New Hampshire state government’s use of the
technology’s tracking abilities: “The state or a political subdivision,
department, or agency shall not issue, or permit others to issue on its
behalf, any identification document that contains a tracking device or
uses tracking devices to locate an individual, either directly or
indirectly through other persons except in the following circumstances:”
(limited circumstances are then named)
C. Prohibits human implantation without informed consent: “No person
shall implant or attempt to implant a tracking device into any
individual without the informed, written consent of the individual, or
an individuals’ legal guardian. No individual shall be offered an
incentive, denied an opportunity, or in any way treated differently from
any other individual as a consequence of providing or withholding such
consent.”

HB203 was introduced in the House on Jan. 1, 2005. It was amended and
later passed by the House on Jan. 18, 2006. It was then referred to the
Senate Public and Municipal Affairs Committee, where it is being
considered. We are hopeful that this bill will be passed by the Senate
soon so New Hampshire can serve as a model for the rest of the country.
Looking at that legislation and similar legislation introduced in
various states, it’s hard to understand why anyone would object to it.
But lobbyists for the RFID industry always swarm state capitals to argue
against any kind of restrictions on the technology--even simple
labeling. They know that the vast majority of consumers object to RFID
on privacy grounds, and that they would reject spychipped products and
stores that support the RFID agenda if they were informed about the devices.
With this interview and article I have tried to explain in what ways we as a free society are most vulnerable to personal privacy invasion at the hands of corporations and technology. Don’t misunderstand me. Technology is great in the hands of those who wish to use it for the purpose of benefiting mankind, but can be disastrous in the hands of those who have more sinister purposes in mind.

Trashing Freedom...
When Liberalism Tops Common Sense: Democracy Trashed In Favor
of 15-20 Million Illegal Aliens
In 1994, Californians decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! with regard to
the invasion of our beautiful state by illegal aliens across the
US-Mexico border. Perhaps we were a bit naive back then, but
in 1994 Californians still believed votes cast by We the People
really mattered.
Armed with the faith and conviction of a free people,
Californians stormed to the polls that November and vented our
frustrations and anger by passing Proposition 187 to deny a
variety of public services to illegal aliens. We did so
emphatically, by a 2-1 margin.
Our electoral victory was short-lived, however, because a
liberal judge forbade implementation of the new law because of
“constitutionality concerns.”
Liberal mindlessness and illogic came bursting forth in full
bloom! To wit: Concern for illegal aliens with no legal or
moral basis for being in America trumped the constitutional
prerogative of millions of Californians who voted in a fair and
democratic election.
In other words, one out-of-touch judge invalidated the judgment
of millions. “My will, not thine” the judge seemed to shout, to
truncate words attributed to the Lord Jesus in the Holy Bible.
Still, Proposition 187 could have been appealed to the US
Supreme Court; many legal scholars believe it would have
prevailed. Democrat Gray Davis, campaigning for governor in
1996, promised to honor the desires of the voters if elected.
That was widely viewed as a commitment to allow an appeal of
187, already in the works, to proceed.
However, once in office, Governor Davis was co-opted by fellow
liberals into abandoning the appeal. His justification? Davis
claimed the appeal would be “too divisive.”
Just like that, based on fiat from a liberal judge and
unprincipled governor, the votes of millions of California
citizens were trashed. Like contaminated animal waste, these
precious instruments of expression by a free people were treated
with utter contempt by liberal elitists. It was as though we
were living in a fascist dictatorship, rather than in America
the Beautiful.
If Proposition 187 had been adjudicated successfully 10 years
ago, California would have taken the lead in preventing the
flow of illegal aliens into our state and, now, all across the
US. The issue could have been settled long ago, and America
would not be saddled with 15-20 million third-world outlaws as
is the case today.
Another shining example of liberalism at work: Making
decisions based on political correctness rather than common
sense, thereby making the problem far more difficult and costly
to deal with.
How much more liberalism can America take and still survive?

We aren’t going to allow people like Jimmy Carter to hurt this country, to
undermine the mission of our troops, and to praise known terrorists without

Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a
fellow black panther named Alex Rackley needed to die.
Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied
to a chair.
Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours
by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him.
When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther
member, Warren Kimbo took Rackley outside and put a bullet
in his head.
Rackley’s body was later found floating in a river about
25 miles north of
New Haven, Connecticut.
Perhaps at this point you’re curious as to what happened to
these Black Panthers?
In 1977, that’s only eight years later, only one of the
killers was still in jail.
The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to
Harvard and became good friends with none other than Al
Gore.
He later became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut
State College.
Isn’t that something?
As a ‘60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone’s head
and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an
assistant college dean!
Only in America!
Erica Huggins was the woman who served the Panthers by
boiling the water
for Mr. Rackley’s torture.
Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California
School Board.
How in the world do you think these killers got off so
easy?
Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people
who came to the defence of the Panthers.
These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale
University with demonstrations in defence of the accused
Black Panthers during their trial.
One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee.
Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn’t a
college dean.
He isn’t a member of a California School Board.
He is now head of the United States Justice Department’s
Civil Rights Division,
appointed by none other than Bill Clinton.
O. K., so who was the other Panther defender?
Is this other notable Panther defender now a schoolboard
member?
Is this other Panther apologist now an assistant college
dean?
No, neither!
The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law
student at Yale University at the time.
She is now known as “The smartest woman in the world.”
She is none other than the Democratic senator from the
State of New York----our former First Lady, the incredible
Hillary Rodham Clinton.
And now, as Paul Harvey said; “You know the rest of
the story”.

The Left Wing War...
Will the Dems and Mainstream Media Win Their War Against Iraq?

Each and every day the Democrats and their “mainstream media” are denigrating
the Iraq war, the Iraqis and US troops. Much the same as they were able to
vilify those who fought in and supported the US fight against repressive
communism in Viet Nam and were able to sway the American public toward
opposition to that war, they are currently using their own bully pulpits to
destroy any chance of democracy in Iraq.
Recently, I asked the question in an Op/Ed “Are Liberal Democrats Really Pro-
Terrorist?” The answer, now, is a resounding “Yes.” In fact, liberal
politicians from both sides of the aisle are aiding the terrorists’ ambitions.
Leftist Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) has called for President Bush’s censure—
for working to protect the United States from these Islamo-fascists. Two of
Feingold’s leftist colleagues, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Sen. Tom Harkin (D-
IA) have joined him in his call for
censure and Sen. d*** “Turban” Durbin (D-IL) said (sort of) that he’s
considering it when he said on Fox News Sunday “I’m not ruling it in or out at
this point in time.”
Their pretended “outrage” concerns the NSA communiqué intercept program, which
continues to be purposefully misrepresented by both the MSM and the liberals.
The NSA program is designed to uncover terrorist plots before the terrorists
can implement them against America. However, our elected liberal and leftist
leaders continue to be more concerned with their own venal political
aspirations, rather than any real concerns for the country. If they don’t
support censure, the Democrats’ first step
toward President Bush’s impeachment (again—an “impeachment” based upon the
president’s attempts to actually protect the US), the left-wing money folks won’
t fund them in the style to which they’ve become accustomed. It’s just that
simple. Note: Watch closely. More and more liberal and leftist Dem politicians
will join presidential hopeful Feingold, as their reserves require
replenishing.
The MSM still refuse to write and publish anything that is remotely positive
about what the United States has accomplished in Iraq. As but a very few of
the “good news” items coming out of Iraq, please consider the following: Over
3,000 schools have now been built and opened in Iraq; schools that girls and
young women now attend. The country has held two unprecedented democratic
elections—elections which were heavily discounted by both leading Democrats and
their media. Kurdistan has fast
become a tourist location and Good News From the Front reports: “Farouq Al
Mulla Abdullah, chairman of ‘Asia Al Kurdia’ company, based in Al Selaimania
(350 km northeast of Baghdad) has launched its tourist project under the name
of ‘City of Beauty’, which is considered as the biggest tourist project in the
province. The project consists of a hotel of 28 floors (5 stars) and modern
tourist facilities, constructed on a hill in the middle of Al Selaimania city,
at the cost of 60 million dollars.”
And, despite the fact that terrorist suicide bombers are still continuing to
affect their carnage, new banks are opening in Iraq. In addition, Iraqi troops
and police are being effectively trained—as evidenced by “Operation Swarmer”.
However, any and all good news does not jibe with the Democrat leftists’ agenda
of: “In order to destroy Bush, we have to destroy Iraq. In order to fill our
coffers and get reelected, we may even have to put the country in jeopardy.
But, the end will justify our means.”
So, as the Dems and their leftist antiquated media continue to feign the “whole
truth” and spew their daily (if not hourly) invectives against President Bush
(who—by the way isn’t running for any office), remember the following: Viet Nam
could have been won but, the media and the leftists were able to convince the
public that it “couldn’t be” done. The media and the leftists are employing the
same tactics as they did in Viet Nam to Iraq. The liberal and leftist “polls”
are bought and paid for
[by them] and are consistently skewed to their bizarre and increasingly
dangerous viewpoints. The danger is to civilization, itself. Last, elected
liberal and leftist politicians will do anything—anything—to regain power; even
if it involves placing the country in peril.
Let’s face it. Not only does the obsessive quest for power blind those who are
fixated and possessed by it but, it becomes “power above all else” as the sole
corrupted goal. So, the next time you read the all-negative-all-the-time
portrayals from these entities, remember their true goals—goals that have
neither anything to do with the continuation of the USA as a sovereign nation
nor the protection of its citizens.

Remember!
Helping Terri - One Year Later

One Year ago yesterday the unthinkable began to take place. The feeding tube of Terri Schiavo was removed. The real fight started on this day. We all remember seeing people supporting Terri and her family through this terrible ordeal that this innocent young lady had family had to endure. A year ago next week, March 31, to be exact, Terri died and yet, there are still unanswered questions as to why she was even in this condition to start with and why the family was not allowed to have custody of their own daughter. All they wanted was to take care of her. Was that too much to ask? What exactly was motivating Mr. Schiavo to pull such a stunt as this in the first place? Was it money? A cover-up of a previous attempted murder? Who knows? We still do not know why Terri was in this condition. Some say she had a heart attack but her husband failed to get help immediately. Is this true and why? There are so many unanswered questions.
My heart was broken during this time and I simply could not hardly stand listening to the blatant bias of CBS coverage of this story, so I mostly relied on internet, Sean Hannity, Bill Bennett, and other shows to get my information updates on Terri. Every day after work I would turn on Sean Hannity, as I normally do, and listen to the interviews with medical personnel who told a much different story than what was being said in the mainstream press.
Many prayers were said and many people let their voices be heard about such an atrocity and many including myself have vowed to never let this go until ALL of our questions are answered. Terri’s family still needs your support and prayers and they are still struggling with legal battles and need your help. The first thing you can do is pray. Remember to pray for Terri’s family twice a day and pray that this will be resolved soon. On March 31, 2006 please remember Terri by a moment of silence and a prayer for her family. We must remember! March 31 is Terri’s Day.

Gay Teens Are Using the System
Students fight personal cases of discrimination through the courts and
political activism.

Gay high school students across California are increasingly using the courts
and political activism to fight individual cases of discrimination and to
promote tolerance.
The moves, educators and legal observers say, come at a time of exponential
growth in the number of gay student clubs and an acceptance of homosexuality on
high school campuses that would have been unheard of a decade ago.
“It’s a reflection of the students’ desire to not just not be beat up, but to
actually have full equality,” said Carolyn Laub, executive director of the Gay
Straight Alliance Network in San Francisco. “They want to be treated just the
same” as their straight classmates.
Recent examples abound: A lesbian teen sued Garden Grove educators to defend
her right to kiss her girlfriend on campus. Bakersfield students sued their
district after a principal barred the school newspaper from printing articles
about homosexuality that identified gay students by name - even with their
parents’ permission. Los Angeles Unified settled a harassment suit brought by
students by pledging to provide antibias training to students and staff at
Washington Prep High School.
For the last two years, gay students in Los Altos in the Silicon Valley have
sparked an off-campus controversy by urging city leaders to create a Gay Pride
Day. And hundreds of gay, lesbian and transgender youths converged Monday on
Sacramento to champion proposed legislation that would allow the state to
withhold funds from districts that fail to abide by a California law that
protects gay students from discrimination.
Some contend the students are being used as pawns by adult gay activists and
argue that school is no place for such volatile issues.
“They are being manipulated by the adults to push the gay agenda,” said Richard
Ackerman, president of the Pro-Family Law Center in Temecula. “My kids should
be going [to school] to learn math, reading, writing. It shouldn’t be an
opportunity for someone else to … destroy the values I have worked so hard to
instill in my children.”
But while the American Civil Liberties Union, the Gay Straight Alliance Network
and other organizations are involved in lawsuits and political activism,
officials with these groups say they are providing legal and organizational
help to students who are picking their own battles.
“More and more students are realizing, ‘Wow, when the principal censors my
speech just because it has something to do with sex orientation, that’s
something that violates the law,’ “ said Christine Sun, an ACLU attorney
representing students in the Garden Grove and Bakersfield cases.
California schools are seen as more tolerant of students’ sexual orientation
than those in many other states. In 1999, the state was among the first to
outlaw discrimination against gay students. Debates over whether to allow same-
sex prom dates or after-school gay-straight alliance clubs are rare in
California; by comparison, Utah legislators, to give one example, recently
debated a bill that would allow educators to ban such clubs.
Wayne Joseph, a Chino Valley Unified School District administrator and former
high school principal, said school campuses have become more tolerant on sexual
issues in recent years. “Kids are willing to express who they are much more
openly, and they’re not as repressed,” said Joseph, an educator for more than
30 years.
The activism is fueled by gay students who are being increasingly visible on
high school campuses, according to Ritch Savin-Williams, a Cornell University
professor and author of “The New Gay Teenager” who has studied gay youth for
more than two decades.
California has more than 500 school-based gay-straight alliance clubs, up from
about 40 eight years ago. Several academic studies have found that gay
teenagers are coming out, on average, by age 15 or 16 - earlier than ever. And
their straight peers tend to be more tolerant of gay rights issues than their
parents’ generation, according to a recent poll released by Hamilton College in
New York showing that 74% of American high school seniors support some form of
civil union or gay marriage.
“Before, it was more that ‘I have an identity and I don’t want to be harassed
because of it,’ “ Savin-Williams said. “Now it’s, ‘This is who I am, these are
my attractions, desires, arousals and love affairs, and I have a right to them.
‘ That subtle shift is a very important one because it reflects a sense of
empowerment.”
Garden Grove senior Charlene Nguon, 17, is suing the school district for
discrimination, arguing that she was punished for being affectionate with her
girlfriend on campus while straight classmates exhibiting the same behavior
went unchallenged.
Nguon is also accusing officials of outing her to her mother and forcing her to
transfer to another school to separate her from her girlfriend. In addition to
seeking damages and expunging Nguon’s disciplinary record, the lawsuit seeks
policy changes that would prohibit administrators from selectively enforcing
discipline or censoring students because of their sexual orientation.
“I don’t want things happening to other students that have happened to me,” she
said. “I just want equality, a safe learning environment for everyone, so [gay]
students don’t have to go to school and get suspended for kissing their
partner.”
In Northern California, the gay-straight alliance club at Los Altos High School
has become increasingly active in its seven years on campus. What began as a
forum for students to meet and talk has grown into an effort to leave a larger
mark on the community, including hanging “safe zone” posters in classrooms and
sponsoring an annual campus film festival of PG-rated gay-themed movies.
Two years ago, the teens started lobbying City Hall to proclaim a Gay Pride
Day. The effort was initially snubbed, but the council relented after the issue
drew attention from adult gay-rights activists and the wider community. The
students won a proclamation that year but have since been rebuffed.
Alyssa Paris Smyth, 18, who graduated last June, was born a male but is in the
process of becoming an anatomical female. A member of the Los Altos club while
in high school, she said she was crushed when the group’s request was denied.
“I’ve lived in Los Altos all my life, and my parents have lived here a very
long time. It’s my hometown,” said Smyth, who began wearing makeup at 14,
started taking hormones at 16 and is preparing to get breast implants this
year. “My own City Council rejecting the proclamation felt like they were
rejecting me.”
Students plan to keep trying to change council members’ minds and hope to hold
a parade as well, according to Ruth Gibbs, the student club advisor and
administrative secretary. “At first, they were crushed. Now they are getting
angry,” she said.
Gay teenagers are also mobilizing in a type of activism more common to college
students.
About 500 gay, lesbian and transgender youths and their straight allies
gathered Monday in Sacramento to lobby for legislation that would force
compliance with a 1999 law that offered protection to students who are gay or
perceived to be gay.
In addition to requiring that sexual orientation and gender identity be
included in a school’s discrimination policy, the proposal would ensure that
teachers and staff are trained to deal with harassment and require
documentation of any complaints.
Stevie Marino, a senior at Lakewood High School and a lesbian, said she felt it
was her duty to attend the rally.
“For change to occur, it’s more important that young adults go and represent
ourselves [instead of] having adults go and speak for us,” she said.

Capital Punishment is Still Pro-life

“Kill them all, let God sort them out.” That was the saying displayed defiantly
on the T-shirt of the ex-Marine I was working with. Obviously, that is well
beyond an extreme position in terms of respect for the sanctity of life.
However, objections have been raised, originating from both the secular and
religious camps, which go to the opposite extreme in an attempt to repudiate
the death penalty for even the most extreme cases.
Many secularists would appeal to the use of the “cruel and unusual punishment”
clause of the Constitution, as an argument against capital punishment. Their
world view often brandishes what British philosopher Mary Midgley dubs, “the
Escalator Myth,” in regards to the assumed progressive direction of human
discourse. This idea is best embodied in a ruling by the late Chief Supreme
Court Justice Earl Warren, who said that the meaning of “cruel and unusual”
punishment in the Constitution is in a
state of flux. According, the definition reflects the evolving standards of
decency that mark the progress of a maturing society. That is taking quite a
bit for granted.
Likewise, many Christians, in endeavoring to maintain a consistently pro-life
position, have taken a perspective that is equally unbiblical and fundamentally
false. While I respect their intent to preserve life, the idea that the state
never has the right to take the life of another person, is theologically,
constitutionally and historically flawed.
A big problem arises from the misuse of the commandment in Exodus, “Thou shall
not kill.” Virtually every modern translation of the Bible, renders “murder” in
place of “kill,” to better reflect the meaning of the original Hebrew text.
Furthermore, executions by the state, killing in legitimate warfare, accidental
deaths and appropriate self-defense, are not considered to be murder.
Genesis 9:6 ought to have gone far in settling the matter. “He who sheds the
blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed.” This illustrates several
principles. First it provides that God has indeed delegated authority to human
institutional authorities to take the life of another. According to Romans
chapter 13, the state has the authority and duty to use the sword of wrath
against the evil doer. So execution is the duty of the state, but only God has
the right to determine eternal rewards or
punishments. Many sincere religious folks confuse the jurisdictions of the
temporal and eternal domains.
They might argue that Christ repudiated capital punishment with his command to
forgive others. Forgiveness is an act of charity between two or more parties;
the one who in some way was offended, and the offending party. Grace and
forgiveness come from the individual and from the church. The function of the
state is to execute remedial justice. While a court may show leniency due to
some extenuating circumstances, they have no general obligation to set aside
the punishment of one who is found
guilty. Thus, the true understanding of church/state separation, embodies the
grace versus justice dichotomy. It is consistent with biblical teaching, that
one could be forgiven by a victim or their family, and be forgiven by God, yet
suffer punishment from the state in this life as consequence for their
transgression. That could and should include capital punishment when
necessary.
A perfect example is the thief who hung on the cross next to Christ. He
repented and received assurance of his eternal state from Christ (I say to you
this day thou shall be with me in paradise). However, this act of contrition
didn’t save his physical life. The thief, in fact, admitted that he was getting
what he deserved in suffering his death sentence.
Sometimes the claim is made that capital punishment is not forgiving or
compassionate. It is very compassionate to the “would be” victims, that often
become statistical tragedies due to the will of lenient courts. How is capital
punishment any less forgiving then putting someone behind bars for life?
People frequently claim that capital punishment has no effective deterrence
quality, as though that should be the only objective of criminal punishment.
The execution of a murderer provides, however, that such a malefactor will
never kill anyone again--the ultimate deterrent.
Capital punishment is pro-life because it defends the right of the innocent by
mandating the life of the guilty offender be taken. Those against capital
punishment for the sake of consistency, while sincere, are simply misguided in
their theological or philosophical perspective and principle.

journalists are doing everything they can to make their predictions a reality.

The Two Faces of Democrat Presidential Politics

Shortly after this year’s elections, the 2008 presidential race will begin in
earnest. This means that among Democrat politicians, the venom and bile being
spewed against President Bush will only increase. But at some crucial point, it
must be redirected from the outgoing president to any Republican “rising
star.”
Those who believe that American politicking has already been overwhelmed by
such antics should brace themselves. Much worse is yet to come. And even a
cursory line-up of Democrat hopefuls suggests the likelihood of a campaign that
is as permeated by duplicity as it is devoid of worthwhile ideas. As a result,
the ‘08 elections are ultimately the Republicans’ to win or lose.
Hillary Clinton, presumptive leader of the Democrat pack (insofar as such “
leaders” can be established by mere presumption) seeks tirelessly to reinvent
herself as each situation might warrant, ostensibly as the kind of “moderate”
who might appeal to mainstream America. Unfortunately for her, enormous
roadblocks exist, which she will be compelled to overcome if her bravado is
ever to translate into her party’s nomination.
First, her long track record of dubious campaign finances makes Jack Abramoff
look comparatively like Mother Theresa. And though the old-media would once
have given her sufficient cover merely by ignoring inconvenient particulars,
any political advancements on her part will only result in vastly increased
scrutiny among the new media. When the facts are made public, Democrat
accusations of a “culture of corruption” among Republicans will seem downright
silly in comparison.
Secondly, every attempt by Hillary to recast herself as “mainstream” will
redound to the Cindy Sheehan/George Soros Democrat base as an abandonment of
liberal principle. Already, they have made it difficult for Hillary to maintain
a facade of being “mainstream” while satisfying the blood lust of the radical
left which enjoys an ever-increasing influence on Democrat politics.
Having excoriated President Bush some months back for his lax immigration
policy, Hillary was only last week compelled to air an entirely different
viewpoint, characterizing Republican plans to tighten the borders as being
reflective of a “police state.” And her distortions of President Bush’s foreign
policy are no less schizophrenic.
On the one hand, she excoriates the President for his Iraq policy. Yet in the
next breath, she proclaims her support for “the troops” and the War on Terror.
Aside from proving herself to be completely disingenuous, one has to wonder
just what benefit she will reap from such posturing, once she learns that Bush
has no plans to run for another term.
Another Democrat with aspirations of the Oval Office is former South Dakota
Democrat Tom Daschle. Having suffered a humiliating defeat to Republican John
Thune in 2004, Daschle now seeks to reinsert himself into the public limelight.
No longer needing to put forth a facade of “moderation” for his heartland
constituency, the real Tom Daschle now campaigns as an aggressive liberal,
howling with a vengeance about President Bush’s supposed dishonesty.
Daschle, famous for his attempts to generate hysteria over such fleeting issues
as elevated levels of arsenic in America’s drinking water, now accuses the GOP
of fomenting a climate of fear in response to the terrorist threat. Yet in the
next breath, he asserts that the country is no more secure now than it was
prior to 9-11. Scary stuff to be sure.
In particular, Daschle seeks to inflame paranoia in regards to NSA surveillance
of foreign terrorists who make phone calls to individuals, whom he refers to
as “average citizens,” living inside the United States. In Daschle’s world, the
NSA activity poses a greater threat to America’s well being than the terrorists
themselves.
Not to be outdone, Russ Feingold of Wisconsin launched his own obligatory
assault this past weekend by sponsoring a resolution to censure President Bush.
Feingold obviously hoped that this craven attack might establish him as leader
of the Democrat opposition. And given the nature of that opposition, he might
just have a point.
However, in the process, he flippantly commented that Bush’s conduct is “so
much worse than anything Bill Clinton ever did.” The not so subtle reference to
corruption in the previous administration was no accident. Feingold knows that
before he can take on any GOP candidate, he must neutralize Hillary.
As the 2008 presidential race is currently shaping up, at least among Democrats
it will likely be built far more on theatrics than substance. And if slander
and attack-dog politics can prevail, Democrats may have a chance.

The Meathead Delema....
Preschool-for-All Initiative, What ‘Meathead’s’ Not Telling You, Part I

Actor Rob Reiner, who gained his fame as ‘Meathead’ on the popular All in the Family sitcom, has successfully taken his liberal television political views to California’s governement. But he has his eyes on the nation as well. The Washington Post describes his “dual crusade: to change the direction of politics and to improve the performance of kids in schools. He bids, someday, to be the Democrats’ answer to Ronald Reagan.”
It was just a few years ago, in 1998, when Reiner’s Prop 10 passed and got him appointed as the first Chair of First 5 California Children and Families Commission by Govenor Gray Davis, to implement Prop 10’s “health care, preschool and other critical services to prepare them (preschoolers) to succeed in school.”
Prop 10 put a 50-cent per pack tax on cigarettes and has generated more than $4 billion since 1999, with 20 percent of the money going to First 5. In 2004-05 alone First 5’s share of the money was $119 million. Today Reiner and his commission are facing a full-scale audit into allegations they used government money to promote his newest initiative, Prop 82, which will be on California’s June ballot. If passed, Prop 82 will establish universal preschool for all 4 year olds in the Golden State.
But what’s Reiner and his campaign not telling us about his newest initiative?
First, what Reiner says Prop 82 will do:
-Establish “free” voluntary, half-day state/government-run preschools for all 4-year-olds regardless of want or need.
-Will be funded by taxing the top 1.7% of income earners in California, increasing taxes to 11% on individuals with taxable income of $400,000 / couples of $800,000 or more.
-Will Cost an estimated $2.3 billion a year. (That’s $8,000 per child which is more than some kindergarten through Grade12 schools pay for a full day).
-Requires all pre-school teachers to have a Bachelor’s Degree.
-Kids who go to preschool will do better in kindergarten and elementary school, graduate from high school, attend college, get better jobs with higher salaries and become happy consumers who will be less likely to do drugs and commit crimes than those who don’t go to preschool.
-Based on a RAND Corporation study (funded by the pro-universal-preschool Packard Foundation) claims for every $1 spent on preschool, society will get back $2.62 in long-term benefits such as better student performance and lower crime.
What Reiner is not telling you:
Claiming he consulted with educational experts, interestingly Reiner failed to sit down with any associations representing preschools. He failed to consult with any of the California K-12 school reform groups. And he never talked with any home-schooling organizations. So, who did he consult? The existing interlocking layers of dysfunctional bureaucracy, California state, county and district levels of education, where parents, voters and taxpayers have very little say or control. Prop 82 will hand preschools over to the same bureaucracy .
Reiner also fails to consider the substantial analysis and findings on the effects of early preschool on under 5 year olds in his efforts to gain preschool for all. Consider:
Stanford University Findings:
In their review, “How Much is Too Much? - the Influence of Preschool Centers on Children’s Development Nationwide’ they detail their analysis which utilized data from 14,162 kindergartners and their parents and teachers. Which found that children from poor families had gains in cognitive skills when attending preschools by about 10%, and double that for English-proficient Hispanic children. However, they also found that there is less evidence of cognitive skill gains for youngsters from middle-class home, or for other children from lower-income families compared with their counterparts who remain at home with a parent.
The Stanford study also states that there is little known about possible impacts from the duration (the age at which children enter preschool) or the intensity (hours enrolled each week) of attendance. And that attendance in preschool centers, even for short periods of time each week, hinders the rate at which young children develop social skills and display the motivation to engage classroom tasks. This confirms other studies showing increased behavior problems caused by out of home care.
More Findings:
In January 2006, UC Santa Barbara researchers found that whatever student achievement gains can be attributed to preschool attendance largely evaporates after a few years in elementary school. In other words, by about 2nd grade skill levels of children who attended preschool and those who did not were the same and remained so throughout the rest of their education.
UC Berkeley Professor Bruce Fuller issued a study last year that examined research on teacher education and preschool, and found that studies claiming to show a connection between teachers holding bachelor’s degrees and better student performance were statistically and methodologically flawed.
Georgetown University Professor William Gormley admits a universal pre-K program may or may not be the best path to school readiness. There is inconsistent evidence as to whether universal preschool helps improve the short-term performance of middle and upper-income children.
Other information to consider:
Lance T. Izumi, Director of Dducation Studies and Senior Fellow in California studies at the Pacific Research Institute says about Prop 82 specifically, “Preschool for all is a seductive proposition, but the reality is that the purported benefits would likely be much less than what Rob Reiner and his cohorts are promising. And with experts arguing that Reiner’s cost estimate of $2 billion is way too low, universal preschool looks to be a very expensive bad idea.”
John Bruer, author of “The Myth of the First Three Years” and President of the James S. McDonnel Foundation writes,"Brain science has nothing to say about what happens to babies’ brains when parents read to them. There’s nothing wrong with reading, but in other cultures they’re not as concerned with it as we are. We have to be careful in our attempts to use biology to justify our values. Human children thrive under a great variety of social and cultural conditions. Yes, kids should be ready to read when they start school. But starting at age 7 is not a biological constraint.”
Dr. Karen Effrem, pediatrician, and board member of the ICSPP (International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology) said regarding this issue, “There is a significant element of indoctrination in these programs as evidenced by the Head Start national standards and the National Association for theEducation of Young Children standards that bring up issues of gender identity, homosexuality, environmentalism, and social activism with three andfour year olds. Preschool does not raise test scores. Despite a quadrupling of the number of four year olds attending preschool nationally over the past 40 years, test scores in reading, math, and science have remained stagnant over the same period.” See her testimony before the Minnesota Senate Early Childhood Finance Division: Dr. Karen Effrem Testimony Against SF 2841 - Preschool Socioemotional Screening
And just for the record, Paul Haubner, a specialist for the National Education Association has said, “The schools cannot allow parents to influence the kind of values-education their children receive in school; that is what is wrong with those who say there is a universal system of values. Our (humanistic) goals are incompatible with theirs. We must change their values.“
I don’t think so!
When looking at Prop 82, or any universal preschool-for-all proposals, we need to keep in mind that while little kids need and deserve a secure place to spend their days where they can grow and develop during the first 5 years of life, that home is still a child’s best “preschool” for the vast majority of American children. If mom must work, daycare is a better alternative. More on that in Part II.

Please Help Israel!
Saving Israel

The land of Israel has been one of the most fought over pieces of property in history, but recently the battles there have become rather heated. Jews want Jerusalem, but so do the Muslims because both view this city as Holy. However, if one reads the Bible, they can plainly see that the land of Israel was a gift from God to his chosen people through which His son, the Messiah, or Jesus Christ would later appear.
A really great book that deals with current events in Israel and with Iran’s ambitions to “wipe Israel from the map of the world” is Jerusalem Countdown by John Hagee. This great book talks about Iran’s weapons development and the possible involvement of Russia aiding the Iranians in their nuclear future. It paints a scary picture of the world to come when Iran has nuclear weapons and attacks Israel. I highly recommend the book.
As I have previously stated, Israel belongs to the Jews and to no one else. We as faithful Christians must stand behind Israel in their struggles with fanatical Islamic terrorists who have vowed to destroy anything not like themselves. The Bible plainly states that Israel is God’s people and that God will smite a nation who attacks his people. Genesis 12:3 says
“ I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and in all the families of the earth shall be blessed”.
God promised Abraham that his descendants would be too many to count. Right now supporting Israel should be a top priority in the war on terror. No one knows domestic terrorism better than the people of Israel. Every day there is a suicide bomber that disrupts some innocent life and then the follow-up retaliation thereafter. It seems to me that they are going in circles. The Islamic fascists have vowed to never give in until death, but so have the Israeli troops. So who is winning? I still say Israel has the upper hand because they have a God who created the world that sent His son into the world to die on a cross for the sins of the world who will one day come again and reclaim Jerusalem. The Bible says that when He comes we will see Him for who he is and we will see ourselves for who we are - sinners. Then every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that he is Lord - but for some it will be too late.
Israel is not a really large nation as far as the real estate portion of it goes. There may or may not be oil and riches in that land ( we don’t know right now, but money is not the main reason for fighting. As a matter of fact many of those extremists who are the worst threat to our own country is filthy rich, so this is not about poverty as the left will have to you to believe. This truly is a Holy War that we are engaged in.
The liberals think that if we leave Iraq, the war will be over, but they do not understand the magnitude of this war. It does not start nor end in Iraq. We may NEVER see an end to this war. As long as Islamic Extremism is allowed to be preached and allowed to influence young minds to the point of turning them into brainwashed killing machines, there will never be peace. The left does not understand that we did not start this fight. THEY declared war on US! We just responded. Israel has had this war for as long as it has existed an probably is not going away or going to get better until Jesus does come again.
I do urge everyone to do some research into this and to get involved in supporting Israel. There are several organizations out there that truly help our great ally and friend. You don’t necessarily have to give monetary gifts either. Helping Israel is as simple as saying a prayer for that nation and its leaders. Israel needs our help today and we need theirs as well. Together Israel and America can unite and show that we are not afraid to fight for our freedoms.

Illegal immigration must be stopped, and reversed, both for national security and sheer economic survival. Even some Democrats are starting to realize that we must protect our borders and enforce our immigration laws in order to remain a sovereign nation.
Businesses that employ illegal immigrants must be severely punished. Tragically, such employers do not seem to care about national security or the war on terror. They reap huge profits by exploiting illegals, while the US taxpayer ends up paying the bills.
No reform scenario should sanction illegals already in the US. Reform should require that every last illegal be deported. Our borders should be secured by 100,000 or so US troops, authorized to use whatever force may be necessary to keep illegals out.
Once we have established control of the borders and deported those here illegally, then we can consider reform. For instance, if a Mexican laborer wants to APPLY for a temporary work permit, he would be allowed to do so, PROVIDED he has not been in America illegally within the last five years.
The point is that the US government must have total control over who enters the nation, where they will reside, for what purpose they are authorized, and the date by which they must leave.
No more nonsense whereby the immigrant decides unilaterally to invade America---and gets away with it!
So, say the laborer applies for a temporary work assignment in California. The employer who wants his services becomes his sponsor, in much the say way as legal immigrants are sponsored. That means assuring that the laborer does NOT become a burden to the community via health care costs, education, crime etc.
Perhaps employers form a cooperative to buy health insurance for migrant workers at group rates. Any and all costs should be absorbed by the employers---not US taxpayers.
The laborer’s work permit should be temporary--not greater than 18 months---and must include that laborer only. We can not afford to have his family burden our health care and educational systems.
Further, the laborer must not be allowed to father an “anchor baby” ....currently, a child born to an illegal becomes a US citizen at birth. The law must be revised to prevent people from manipulating the US in that manner.
Employers should also be responsible for monitoring the laborer’s behavior---no crimes, even misdemeanors, or it’s adios! All income that the laborer earns must be subject to tax withholding and employers must administer that procedure.
The laborer must be made to understand that his permit is temporary only, and that it confers no other rights such as a right to driver’s license, social welfare, in-state tuition breaks, citizenship or any other benefits.
Employers must also assure that the laborer leaves the US when his work permit expires. Any violations should cause the employer to be severely punished, including criminal sanctions.
A few stiff jail terms might convince business owners that crime does not pay ....when it comes to the war on terror and illegal immigration!
Immigration reform might work----provided we secure the borders permanently, force employers to obey the law, deport those here illegally, and discontinue making it so damn easy and attractive for illegal immigrants to cross our southern border.

The Sad State of American Education

Each election year, you’ll find a candidate who says we desperately need to pour more money into our public schools. Ignoring the property tax burdens on senior citizens, the candidate will say that taxpayers need to be prepared to spend more on education—even if it entails incredible sacrifice.
There is little doubt that education can be a sound investment. But I have to wonder what schools are using all that tax money for, given the results of a new study by the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum.
The survey showed many things, but here is the most startling fact of them all: Americans know more about the TV cartoon known as “The Simpsons” than they do about the First Amendment. I suppose that, in an age where trivia is king, this should not be all that surprising. However, it should provoke some serious soul-searching among public officials, teachers, and parents.
According to the study, only one in four Americans can name more than one of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. For those of you hazy on this point, the five freedoms are freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly, and petition for redress of grievances. Yet, more than half of those surveyed could name at least two members of the Simpson family.
And it gets worse. About one in five Americans can name all five members of the cartoon family, but only one in a thousand can name all the First Amendment freedoms. But this isn’t only about the Simpsons. There’s also the situation involving “American Idol.” More people know the three idol judges—Randy, Paula, and Simon—than know at least three First Amendment rights. In addition, Americans are more likely to remember popular advertising slogans than anything about the First Amendment.
Oh, but there is this gem: one in five people surveyed thought the right to own a pet was protected under the First Amendment. But the question we need to ask ourselves as Americans is not who’s minding the dog—but who’s looking out for our own basic rights as citizens.
But, let’s be clear here. There’s plenty of blame to go around. While it’s true that maybe we should have all paid more attention at school, how much of the school calendar was devoted to the First Amendment—one of the most precious rights the founding fathers could have given us?
Here’s why this is so important: there are numerous instances today of individuals trying to take away our freedoms. For instance, our freedom of speech is threatened by those who say that the only allowable speech on our college campuses should be politically correct speech. Our freedom of religion is routinely targeted by groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union, who want to ban God from our schools, courthouses, and civic buildings. Freedom of assembly is challenged by those who believe the only legitimate protests are the left-wing kind.
Of course, the news media routinely trumpet freedom of the press—but it is only one segment of the press many of them are interested in. For instance, conservative columnist Ann Coulter is vilified for expressing her anti-left, anti-establishment views. Fox News is accused of pandering to the right—even though its mission is to provide fair and balanced coverage.
In an Associated Press article, Joe Madeira, director of exhibitions at the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum, said he was actually surprised by the results of his survey.
Madeira told the AP, “Part of the survey really shows there are misconceptions, and part of our mission is to clear up these misconceptions. It means we have our job cut out for us.”
It obvious money isn’t the solution to our education woes. We must return to teaching the basics.

Dear Illegal Alien:
In case you skipped Civics 101 in order to protest on the streets of Chicago last week, you need to understand this: The United States is a sovereign nation operating in accordance with the rule of law.
No one----be it a PhD Chemist or toilet bowl cleaner--- has the right to come into the US based on that individual’s unilateral decision to do so. US borders and immigration laws govern access to America and must be complied with.
End of debate. Period. Done. Nada.
People who illegally cross our borders are outlaws, regardless of their purpose for invading. An apt analogy may help you understand: Bank robbers (those engaged in undocumented withdrawals, if you prefer) commit their crimes only in pursuit of a better life. But stealing from others to gain a better life is not only unlawful, it is un-American!
Unlawful aliens are really no better than US citizens who rob banks, except for this: Illegals have no legal, spiritual or logical basis for being in the US. They are unwelcome here, and should be deported en masse. Now!
In fact, the US should adopt policies employed by Mexico for dealing with illegal immigrants. In Mexico, they do not reward illegals with in-state tuition, driver’s licenses and other foolishness.
In Mexico, the government simply jails illegals and deports them ASAP!
Maybe we can learn something from our third-world neighbors to the south after all?
Finally, thank your Latino friends for the Chicago protest. It helps our cause when American citizens can see 100,000 illegal immigrants marching to protest laws that will strengthen our homeland security and make US citizens safer.
Do it again and again, please. And be sure to wave a few dozen Mexican flags-----that really helps US citizens understand the urgency of preventing and reversing illegal immigration!

The Preachers...
Preachers Who Would Be God

To arrogate to oneself the right to dictate the lives of billions of people is
hubris bordering on blasphemy. That, however, is what a group of prominent
evangelical Christian ministers are doing.

Recently a group of evangelical Christian ministers issued a document called
“Statement of the Evangelical Climate Initiative: Climate Change: An
Evangelical Call to Action” in support of Al Gore’s “Earth in the Balance.”
They declare that, “In the United States, the most important immediate step
that can be taken at the federal level is to pass and implement national
legislation requiring sufficient economy-wide reductions in carbon dioxide
emissions through cost-effective, market-based mechanisms such as a cap-and-
trade program.”
Even if we accept this falsity, action in the United States alone will be the
proverbial drop of water in the ocean. The vast bulk of alleged greenhouse gas
pollution occurs in China and India. Effectiveness will necessitate
regimenting the entire world.
Implicitly our evangelical ministers accept the proposition that humans can
supplant God’s dominion over the earth’s weather conditions. They state
unequivocally, “Christians, noting the fact that most of the climate change
problem is human induced, are reminded that when God made humanity he
commissioned us to exercise stewardship over the earth and its creatures.”
This is presumption of the highest order. It is like a gnat demanding that Mt.
Everest stand aside and allow him passage.
There is no definitive evidence that global temperatures are “human induced.”
Over the millennia, to the contrary, swings between ice ages and warm periods
correlate with the activity of the sun’s eruptions of energy.
The Evangelical Climate Initiative belongs the arena of socialism known as the
Social Gospel, which flourished at the end of the 19th century through the
1930s. Social Gospel embraced the avowed aims of socialism, which sound
similar to the results that flow from the BibleÕs Golden Rule. The similarity
ends there: Social Gospel, is atheistic, materialistic, and collectivistic, i.
e., the antithesis of the individuality of Christianity and religious
Judaism.
One of the Social Gospel’s principal exponents, Rochester Theological
SeminaryÕs professor Walter Rauschenbusch, said of it, “Whatever the sins of
individual Socialists, and whatever the shortcomings of Socialist
organizations, they are tools in the hands of the Almighty.......Socialism is
one of the chief powers of the coming age......God will raise up Socialism
because the organized Church was too blind, or too slow, to realize God’s
ends.”
The man-made global-warming hypothesis is, like other aspects of socialism, a
collectivist doctrine. It doesn’t call on individuals, as Jesus Christ did, to
look into their hearts, to repent their sins, and to follow Him. Instead, it
calls for a Teutonic, statist approach of the sort advocated by Immanuel Kant:
the idea that individuals have no role in society other than to follow
society’s dictates, that the role of government is to make individuals conduct
themselves in accord with the government’s master plan.
To borrow a phrase from the Nazi-era Lutheran Minister Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who
lost his life by staying in Germany and preaching against Hitler’s National
Socialism, the Evangelical Climate Initiative is “cheap grace.” It requires no
personal thought, no personal repentance, no personal act to follow Jesus, but
simply going with the politically-correct Hollywood, mainstream-media flow.
The evangelical ministers preface their statement with a quotation from Paul’s
letter to the church in Colosse: “For by Him (Christ) all things were created:
things in heaven and on earth.” (Col. 1:16). Ironically, in the epistle to the
Colossians, Paul is warning them against the blandishments of an heretical
sect, the gnostics, who claimed special knowledge that would lead to human
salvation without the intercession of Jesus Christ. Socialism itself is a
modern-day form of Gnosticism in its claim to special knowledge by an
intellectual elite who uniquely understand the so-called laws of history and
who know how to control society in ways that will perfect humanity here and now
on earth.
And the greenhouse-gases part of the global-warming hypothesis is right down
the middle of the road to socialistic materialism, i.e., the hypothesis that
everything observed in nature is the result solely of mechanical actions of
tangible, material factors, a process in which there is no room for
spirituality, morality, or God.
Our evangelical ministers may sincerely believe that supporting the UN’s
socialist ideologues is good policy, but they apparently fail to recognize that
implementing something like the Kyoto protocol for the whole world will result
in putting humanity into an economic straitjacket that will stop improvement of
living conditions for Asia’s billions of people and force a reduction in the
standard of living for everyone in the Western world. It will be just as
benevolent and effective as Soviet Communism was.

Homosexual Easter at the White House?
‘LGBT families’ urged to crash Bushes’ annual egg-roll event

An advocacy group for the so-called lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
community is urging its supporters to be the first in line this year at the
White House Easter Egg Roll to show “family visibility” to the nation.
Mark Tooley, writing in the Weekly Standard, says a church-based homosexual-
rights group, Soulforce, sent an e-mail to supporters giving instructions for
the event.
“On April 17, 2006, when the White House lawn is opened to families for the
Annual Easter Egg Roll, imagine if the first 1,000 families onto the lawn were
LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] families,” said the Jan. 4 e-mail.
Once America sees the White House lawn awash in LGBT families, “there will be
no going back,” Soulforce promised.
Tooley claims it’s the first time anyone has tried to “exploit the annual White
House Easter Egg Roll for political purposes.”
Soulforce regularly protests church events to demand denominations change their
policies on homosexuality, using the principles of Martin Luther King Jr. and
Mahatma Gandhi. The organization was begun by Mel White, once a writer for
Christian pastors who later embraced homosexuality and became a clergyman in
the “gay” Metropolitan Community Church. Soulforce is planning to protest at
Focus on the Family in Colorado this summer.
According to the e-mail, the group is asking “LGBT families” to arrive at the
White House gate the night before the April event to be sure to be the first
ones in. Volunteers will be available to save places for those who cannot spend
the night.
Supporters reportedly will arrive with special “non-political” T-shirts to
identify themselves as “LGBT.”
The annual Easter Egg Roll dates back to President Rutherford B. Hayes.
“The media will be there (they are always there for the egg roll) and millions
of Americans – many for the first time – will meet our families,” the Soulforce
e-mail explained. “This is an amazing opportunity to reach homes in blue states
and red states with positive images of our families participating in this great
American family tradition.
“This event will be like nothing anyone has ever seen before. The White House
lawn – t he Bush [italics in original] White House lawn – will, quite

Article 1: Impeachment of George Bush
The single greatest priority of a reconstituted Democrat majority. Pelosi hopes to introduce a Bill of Impeachment on January 4, 2007. Ideally for Pelosi, the House would vote to impeach Bush before the president’s State of the Union address in late January.
Article 2: War on Iraq
Consistent with Ms. Pelosi’s remarks on this subject in late 2005, the Democrat party has no position on the war in Iraq.
Article 3: Freedom To Love Amendment
Enhances the Bill of Rights by guaranteeing equal protection to gays, lesbians, transvestites, those engaged in bestiality, and any and all forms of sexual expression. Prohibits any form of discrimination based on alternative lifestyle choices.
Replaces any and all actions taken to define marriage in the narrow, homophobic, bigoted fashion---one man, one woman--- favored by an overwhelming majority of Americans.
Article 4: Taxes
Repeals all tax cuts enacted since 2001. For any individual or family with an adjusted gross income(AGI) in excess of $40,000 in any one year, requires that all tax refunds received since 2001 be repaid to IRS. All such repayments to include compounded interest at the rate of 12% per annum.
Article 5: Lethal Injection Amendment
Enforces the “cruel and unusual punishment” criteria in Amendment No 8 by making it illegal to use lethal injections in order to execute convicted killers. As such, makes the Bill of Rights more inclusive for killers, one of the most under-represented minorities in America.
Article 6: Reproductive Rights Amendment
Codifies a woman’s right to unilaterally choose an abortion, including partial birth abortion, of an innocent human life, at the time and place designated by the woman. Specifically revises the Bill of Rights to exclude unborn children, the most over-represented block of non-voters in America.
Article 7: Defense of American Family Against Gun Violence
Nancy Pelosi and all dedicated liberals know that crimes involving guns would all but disappear if only there were more gun control laws.
Thus, Pelosi proposes to repeal Amendment No. 2 to the US Constitution.
Article 8: Emancipation of Illegal Immigrants Act
Provides a reasonable solution to the vexing problem of illegal immigration by recognizing that migrants from Mexico are poor and illiterate and, as such, are a natural constituency of the Democrat party.
Makes all illegal immigrants now in America, and those to follow, US citizens provided the individual can speak Spanish and prove that he/she has registered as a Democrat.
Article 9: Culture of Corruption Act
Makes it illegal for any lobbyist to speak with, email, write or otherwise communicate with any congressional Republican.
Article 10: War on Terror Tax on “Big Oil”
Recognizes that Exxon, Union 76 and all of the other oil conglomerates are undeserving beneficiaries of America’s war on terror in the middle east. Imposes a 25% surcharge on big oil profits so that capitalist pigs will pay their “fair share.”
There you go, the Pelosi Contract On America.

Defeating the Left!
The extremist liberal group, MoveOn.org has announced that they are targeting the 50th Congressional District race - the race where Move America Forward’s founder, Howard Kaloogian is the conservative Republican candidate.
This week they were joined by Howard Dean’s Democracy for America who also announced they are targeting this seat.
It’s no coincidence these anti-war liberals would be targeting Howard Kaloogian for defeat - after all he’s done to support the men and women of the U.S. military and his advancement of conservative political causes.
Howard Dean and the people behind MoveOn.org represent some of the vilest individuals in this nation - and now they are targeting our friend, Howard Kaloogian.
These people view America as the source of many of the world’s problems, and they openly sympathize with America’s enemies.
You know how Howard Kaloogian and I feel about those who dishonor our troops - we’ve been the loudest voices in this country standing up to the likes of Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan.
You can imagine how Howard and I feel when groups like MoveOn.org support anti-war rallies that desecrate our troops, but where these protestors are nonetheless egged on by liberal Democrat politicians.
So here we stand now - Howard Dean’s Democracy for America and MoveOn.org have announced they’re in this race to defeat our friend and conservative leader, Howard Kaloogian. The question I am asking you is this: will we meet their challenge and win?
The liberal Democrat candidate, Francine Busby, has amassed over $1 MILLION in total fundraising. By comparison, Howard Kaloogian has raised a little more than $375,000. [The Democrat candidate has been fundraising for over 1 year while Howard just entered the race late last year.]
While I am writing this letter to you about my personal friend of mine, Howard Kaloogian, (and not in my official capacity as the person who co-founded Move America Forward with Howard) that doesn’t change the fact that we need to take action.
It’s time for us to dig deep and narrow this gap. I have made my own personal contribution of $500.00 to Howard’s campaign. Muslims Good Americans?
Subject: Can Muslims be Good Americans?
Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen? Consider
this:
Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of
Arabia.
Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam
and the Quran (Koran).
Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns
in prayer five times a day.
Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends
with Christians or Jews.
Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders),
who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great
Satan.
Domestically, no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat
and scourge his wife when she disobeys him. (Quran 4:34).
Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except
Islam. (Quran, 2:256)
Intellectually, no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution
since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be
corrupt.
Philosophically, no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow
freedom of religion and expression.
Democracy and Islam cannot co - exist. Every Muslim government is either
dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually, no. Because when we declare “one nation under God,” the
Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
our heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran’s 99 excellent
names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation: perhaps we should be very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both
good Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish, it’s still the
truth. If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above,
perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand
this, the better it will be for our country.
Pass it on. This war is bigger than we know!!

Establishing Religion at Gunpoint

Mandating that all hospitals dispense emergency contraceptives to
rape victims is, in effect, to force everyone to accept the
atheistic, secular, and materialistic religious precepts of liberal-
progressivism.

A controversy rages here in Connecticut and elsewhere in the nation
over proposed passage of state laws that would compel church-
supported hospitals to dispense abortion drugs. These proposed laws
employ the state’s taxing power to bludgeon compliance.
The TV series “Boston Legal” recently devoted an episode to
supporting such laws, advancing the legal theory that a Catholic
hospital refusing to administer abortion drugs would be fair game for
billion-dollar punative damage actions by the tort bar’s thugs, even
if the hospital told the rape victim where she could go to receive
abortion drugs.
In short, following one’s conscience is against the law in Big
Brother’s hate-crime, thought-control world.
One of the very few sensible things that Supreme Court Justice Oliver
Wendell Holmes, Jr. wrote is that the power to tax is the power to
destroy. Hospitals receiving state financial aid, directly or as
reimbursements for care of poor patients, would have a gun at their
heads: do as the liberal secularists demand, or we pull the trigger.
Even the arch-liberal Hartford Courant editorialized recently:
“Had Plan B been approved for sale without prescription, the state
might not be opening the can of worms now being discussed in the
General Assembly. A bill is being proposed [that] would require all
Connecticut hospitals that receive public funds to dispense emergency
contraceptives to rape victims they treat. The mandate would include
Roman Catholic hospitals, including St. Francis in Hartford.
“It is neither necessary nor fair to force these church-based
institutions to go against their fundamental beliefs. In 80 percent
of Connecticut hospitals, a woman will be offered emergency
contraception, according to rape crisis experts. The Catholic
hospitals say it is their policy to inform rape victims where they
can receive emergency contraception.”
One can look at the issue from several points of view.
Liberal secularists say that Roe v. Wade forces everyone to kow-tow
to a woman’s putative Constitutional right to have an abortion. No
hospital therefore can refuse to provide abortions and abortion
medications.
Standing aside from religious views, one can ask why must every
medical center preform every medical procedure in the entire arsenal
of modern medicine? Obviously a dying heart attack victim has no
right to demand that any hospital he is taken to be prepared to give
him a heart transplant. Not every hospital performs every sort of
surgery or provides all varieties of therapy.
Liberal secularists say that a rape victim is a special case, because
emergency contraceptives won’t work if not administered shortly after
the trauma. Wouldn’t it be equally effective, and far less
totalitarian, to instruct all police departments and emergency
medical units not to take rape victims to Catholic hospitals?
However deplorable the effect of rape on a victim, she hasn’t the
same degree of emergency need as a gunshot victim. Even if extra
time were needed to convey her to a secular hospital, she could still
get her abortion drugs within the necessary time window.
If that were the procedure, the issue of a rape victim’s rights would
not arise.
From the historical perspective, liberal secularists are in an
analogous position to immigrant groups like Muslims who demand that
their host countries conform to their preferences by abandoning
centuries of law, tradition, and language.
The world’s first community organizations to provide health care and
financial assistance for the poor were in the Christian churches
founded in Asia Minor by St. Paul. By the end of the Western Roman
Empire in 476 AD, the Roman Catholic Church’s hospitals were the only
available sources of medical care for the general public.
Catholic hospitals are following the same religious tenets to which
they have subscribed for centuries. Johnny-come-lately liberal
secularists are marching in, wielding the bludgeon of state tax
power, demanding that their religious beliefs supplant those of
Christianity.
Because practical alternatives exist, enactment of laws mandating
that Catholic hospitals dispense abortion drugs is nothing less than
a declaration that Christianity is not acceptable in the hedonistic,
atheistic, secular political state.

Christians Face Off Gays at “Queer Youth Advocacy Day”
Rally Draws Over 700 Christians to Protest AB 606
Sacramento - On Monday, over 700 Christians, coming mainly from Russian
churches in Sacramento, lined the sidewalks outside of the State Capitol to
oppose the pro-homosexual rally held as part of the “Queer Youth Advocacy Day”
(QYAD). QYAD was set up by Equality California (EQCA) and the Gay-Straight
Alliance Network (GSAN) to recruit new gay activists from high schools around
California. QYAD organized buses to drive confused youth from Los Angeles, San
Diego, the Bay Area, etc. to come together and learn how to lobby legislators,
make signs, and promote homosexuality in their schools.
Around 300 confused youth ended up making the trek to the State Capitol on
Monday only to be greeted by over twice as many Christians who were opposing
the sin of homosexuality and AB606 (a bill designed to force schools to teach
homosexuality is okay or risk losing ALL state funding). Sides were kept about
200ft away from eachother by about 20+ CHP officers, which ended up creating a
chanting match between the two sides. “Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Homophobia’s Got to Go”
was drowned out by “Jesus is Lord, Jesus is Lord” and “Sodomy is Sin”.

The Hollywood SINdrome...
March 5 is the BIG night when contemporary stars and starlets gather to celebrate yet another year of chiseling away at traditional family values and decency IIn years past, these purveyors of slime would have been recognized as pornographers and largely ignored.
But in “enlightened” times, the film that does the most harm to American values is heralded as a masterpiece. A brilliant, romantic love story. That is the leftist pap surrounding Brokeback Mountain , the flick that attempts to portray homosexuality as just another choice. Another means of giving and receiving human love. Neither right nor wrong, just love.
Love? Two perverts standing in sheep dung while they sodomize each other? Not a chance....its perversion and there ain’t nothing “gay” about it! Particularly in the age of HIV-AIDS.
Hollywood’s relentless attack on what it means to be an American is, in fact, the fault of George W Bush. Say what? GW is responsible for cowboys mushing each other instead of chasing cowgirls?
True! By winning the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections and the 2002 mid-terms, Bush put the DNC on notice: People espousing liberal values can no longer win elections. Period.
Trapped and defeated, DNC decided that US voters, not the Democrat party, needed to change. With that insight, DNC opened its Hollywood branch and got down to business.
DNC leaders realized that the liberal agenda was not palatable to most thinking people. In order to gain acceptance of liberal values, DNC would need aggressive brain-washing and misinformation campaigns to make the mainstream appear wrong and the wrong appear mainstream.
And what better medium to pollute vulnerable, distracted minds, young and old alike, than Hollywood films? Homosexuality could be made to appear morally neutral, just another lifestyle choice, really. Hello, Brokeback Mountain.
George Bush & America’s corporate and military institutions could be painted as the evil culprits in the war on terror. By contrast, Islamic terrorists could be shown as kind, compassionate victims of America’s insatiable thirst for oil.
Syriana by George Clooney fit the bill for tearing America down while glorifying Islamofascists.
DNC ordered a host of other films to sell the notion that America is governed by evil, greedy, right-wing Christian fundamentalists, no better than Islamic terrorists. By using Hollywood films to deliver this sinister agenda, liberals pitched their nonsense to people more concerned about the price of buttered popcorn than fearful of being brainwashed.
All of which proves that Future Shock is here. Now.
And it is ugly, indeed!

Who’s Looking Out for the US?

The United States is, without a doubt, the most generous country in the world. We are generous in times of natural disaster, donating untold amounts of dollars to help rebuild the lives of those devastated by tsunamis, earthquakes, and other emergencies. We are generous in the defense of freedom, offering military aid to oppressed peoples longing for democracy.
Unfortunately, we have also become generous with countries that do not have our best interests at heart.
For instance, let’s consider the United Nations voting records of various Arabic and Islamic states. Back in the early part of the ‘90s, American servicemen and women put their lives on the line to liberate Kuwait. Our reward? Kuwait votes against the U.S. in the U.N. 67 percent of the time. That’s the type of return we receive for our military investment in Kuwait.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates, poised to take over our ports, voted against us 70 percent of the time. Given that fact, can the UAE really be considered a friend of the U.S.?
And the indignities do not end there. Qatar voted against us 67 percent of the time; Morocco, 70 percent; Jordan, 71 percent; Tunisia, 71 percent; Saudi Arabia, 73 percent; Yemen, 74 percent; Algeria, 74 percent; Oman, 74 percent; Sudan, 75 percent; Pakistan, 75 percent; Libya, 76 percent; Egypt, 79 percent; India, 81 percent; Syria, 84 percent; Mauritania, 87 percent. In other words, we have a solid voting bloc against us in the Arab world.
However, the insanity does not end there. The U.S. routinely bestows billions of dollars in foreign aid to nations that, by all accounts, hate us. Nearly eight out of ten times, Egypt votes against us, yet it still receives $2 billion each year in U.S. aid. Jordan voted against us seven out of ten times and still receives $192,814,000 each year from us. We award millions more to Pakistan and India, even though they routinely side against us.
For years, a number of conservatives have said that it’s time for us to get out of the UN. In reality, it’s long past time. In theory, an organization designed to promote peace among nations might be a good idea—but, in practice, it’s been a disaster for the U.S. It seems that reason does not rule the UN. Instead, it appears that, all too often, it is run by a mob rule mentality that is decidedly anti-American. In the end, it wasn’t the UN that captured Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and brought him to justice. It was the much-maligned USA.
We should also seriously re-think our foreign aid packages. Why not save the money we’ve been spending on our enemies and give it back to the American taxpayer? Wouldn’t that be best for not only the taxpayer, but also for our national security interests?
All too often, it seems as if we pursue an “America last” foreign policy. State department officials sometimes act as if they care more about what’s happening in other nations than how to protect our own. Even if Uncle Sam is reluctant to return foreign aid money to US taxpayers, why not at least invest that money in securing our own borders from terrorists and illegal aliens? It would seem that an “America first” foreign policy would demand that such action be taken.
As ordinary citizens, we have to deal with the harsh realities of life everyday. It’s time that our government officials deal with reality as well. Our involvement in the UN is not helping us—no matter how much we wish it would. We should get out—and get out now.

The America that I speak of was the moral country that did not let socialism and politics from another culture interfere with our own belief system. Since the early 1960s America has been headed downward. Everything is in a mess because of socialistic thinking. One generation almost destroyed morality and common sense, but since the Reagan era, it has made an astonishing comeback.
The things that I talk about is modern day liberalism and socialism. It was the liberals who wanted us to be more like Europe in that we would ban guns, make abortion legal, create a society where girls and boys were exactly identical instead of unique, made evolution top educational priority, and on top of it all, declared war on traditional Christianity and everything it stood for.
The ACLU is one culprit that I simply have no sympathy for. They have done more than enough to earn them the Anti-Christ of the Century award in my book. Recently the ACLU has really ticked me off to the point that I simply wish they would go bankrupt and fade from history. The act that I speak of involves the Gideons International which is one of the oldest traditional professional men’s organizations in America. They distribute Bibles to hospitals, hotels, churches, military facilities, missions groups, and schools.
I remember when I was in fifth grade, the Gideons came to my school and handed every child a little red testament. It was once a common scene to see these volunteers giving our FREE Bibles almost anywhere. They have made a significant impact on many people all over the world, not just here in America. What made me so angry was the ACLU is seeking to ban the Gideons from handing out Bibles at schools(http://www.joplinglobe.com/story.php?story_id=231330&c=87). I take this personally because I personally know a few Gideon volunteers and at one time thought about becoming one myself. I financially support this organization with my hard earned money and every penny that they collect goes to distributing Bibles for FREE! All the men who do this are VOLUNTEERS!
It’s one thing when the ACLU and their left wing counter culture followers try to destroy Christmas and Easter, but when they start saying that Bible distribution to children is to be banned, I get alarmed. The only thing that needs to be banned here is the existence of the ACLU!
The ACLU has long been the part of the downfall of this great land we live in. The “hippies” from the 1960s era didn’t help much either by using their “if it feels good, do it” attitude. I realize that many of them have been saved and have changed from that time, but some leftovers like the radical feminists and the Michael Moore wannabes are still trying to destroy morality and ethical standards in this country.
The fact of the matter is that there is an absolute truth. There is an absolute good and an absolute evil. These differences are distinctly made in the Bible. There are those that wish that “religious” people would just leave their religion in church, but we can’t do that. We are charged by the blood of Christ in The Great Commission to go out into the world and proclaim the gospel. This is exactly what the Gideons are doing and now the ACLU wants to stand against the decree of Christ by banning what Christ told us we should do?
The other thing that really bothers me is that morality is trying to make a comeback, but the left tries to destroy it by all means. Hollywood in all their glory and splendor have sank to a new low by producing pro-gay movies in a pathetic and hopefully failed attempt to convert people to their secular way of thinking. Even Willie Nelson has been moved by the gay rights movement with his new song. Every time we hear this song on the radio we should call in and request a song on Alan Jackson’s new gospel album. Maybe that will even the odds a little bit and get people to realize that we live in reality where there is a God that not only loves us, but also wants us to love Him back. The way of the ACLU and the left is certainly not a good starting point though.
Hollywood has gone overboard with their advertised sin. Almost any show even on the local networks, contain something sexual or a dirty theme in them. Can’t they go thirty minute without saying something nasty? Whatever happened to shows like Andy Griffith, The Munsters, Leave It to Beaver, etc. Produces are failing to produce good quality shows with a moral family theme anymore becuase thye have lost sight of what the traditional family really is all about.
I admit that the left have some legitimate concerns like healthcare, environment, civil rights, women’s rights, and other issues, but the WAY that they go about conducting the “solutions” to these issues is what I disagree with. You don’t ban Bible distribution and abstinence education! The one thing America could use right now is a large dose of the Holy Spirit to convict people of what they are doing to themselves and to the country. We, on the right, can help fight this battle. We won;t do it with guns and bombs like some religions, but we can do it through prayer, court, voting, and peaceful means and more importantly we can make the difference by supporting organizations like Annie Armstrong, The Gideons, and The International Mission Board who work daily in sometimes hostile environments to reach out to a lost and dying world.

Q: Neptune’s origin can’t be explained by evolution, but is it “proof” of creation?
A: Neptune is an amazing planet that can’t be explained by long ages of time, but this, by itself, doesn’t “prove” creation.
Astronomers were amazed to discover that Neptune is very active, even though it’s so far from the sun. Winds reach 1,300 mph, and the planet actually generates heat!
This easily fits the creation model, because a young planet could still be cooling off. But it doesn’t fit with a belief in millions or billions of years, because it should have cooled off by now.
Evolutionists keep looking for some bizarre scenario to explain Neptune. But even if they finally come up with a “good story,” it still doesn’t make the story true.
And that’s the problem. While we can look at the present and make guesses about the past, we can’t prove the past. Instead, we need a reliable eyewitness.
And we do have such an eyewitness—God Himself! What better “proof” could there be than the character and testimony of the Lord Himself? But sadly, many astronomers prefer to keep inventing fables, rather than putting their faith in God’s Word.

MBA vs. Politician

After the 2000 election the press noted that President Bush was the nation’s
first MBA to hold that office. There could hardly be more contrasting
management styles than those of George W. Bush and his predecessor, Bill
Clinton. That difference goes a long way toward explaining the President’s low
public approval rating.

In real life, of course, no successful corporate CEO can afford to ignore his
constituencies: his company’s customers, his board of directors, and his
stockholders. But there are significant differences between corporate and
political leadership.
President Truman, about to hand over the office to newly-elected, former
General of the Armies Dwight Eisenhower, is supposed to have said, “Poor Ike.
When he gets into the oval office, he’ll issue orders, and nothing will
happen.” While the military officer has a higher degree of absolute authority,
business executives aren’t too far behind. If a subordinate refuses to follow
a business plan, the executive can fire him.
In contrast, no matter how wise his policies may be, a President has little
power beyond his ability to influence public and Congressional opinion to gain
backing for them.
Unlike corporate divisional executives who have come up through the ranks and
have surrounded themselves with loyal lieutenants, newly-appointed cabinet
heads seldom get their arms around their mammoth bureaucracies in a four-year
term, and they have almost no staff loyalty to count upon. In President Bush’s
case, some CIA and State Department staffers, significantly tilted toward
liberalism, notoriously sabotaged his plans with passive resistance and
skillfully timed leaks to the press and opposition politicians.
Presidents Bush and Clinton reflect the stereotypes: one the aloof MBA-CEO
focusing upon effective national policies, the other the glad-hander ever
courting public approval.
Clinton seemed to be, as Democrats and Republicans alike observed, continually
campaigning for office, always on the hustings in front of TV cameras. One of
his most obvious political gifts was projecting empathy for people in whatever
misfortune.
At the same time, it’s safe to say that President Clinton never pursued any
policy course without first measuring its effect in votes, the public welfare
coming in second. He chose, for example, to ignore the impending disaster of
mandated entitlements under Social Security and Medicare and push instead for
compounding the problem with socialized medicine
When the Monica Lewinsky scandal was about to break, Clinton’s first reaction
was to have d*** Morris take a poll to gauge public reaction. Getting the bad
news from Morris, the President decided to lie to the public.
President Clinton was justly criticized for conducting the nation’s foreign
policy as if it were little more than an extension of domestic politics. In
his journey to black Africa, a typical example, he apologized for America’s
‘racist’ history, but did nothing of substance to halt the concurrent genocidal
slaughter by black tribal leaders. His aim appeared, rather, to have been to
stroke the feathers of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the NAACP.
While President Bush is a folksy guy who connects with the average voter, he
pays little attention to the media, and his public speeches seldom get quoted
beyond his endless affirmations that we won’t turn and run from Al Queda. In
diametric contrast to President Clinton, Bush holds few press conferences and
seems to be focused on pursuing his plans relentlessly, ignoring the press’s
slings and arrows in confidence that what he advocates will be in the nation’s
best long-term interests. His alter-egos, Vice President Cheney and Karl Rove,
both project images of aloof policy calculation in relative isolation from day-
to-day public opinion.
Right or wrong, all three are repeatedly caught flat-footed by Democratic
maneuvers and public relations attacks. The fruit of the President’s
management style is his low voter-approval-poll ratings.
With the exceptions of Teddy Roosevelt (1901-1908) and Woodrow Wilson
(1913-1920), presidents before Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 had been relatively
private figures who concentrated upon being party leaders and executing the
laws of the land. Beginning with FDR, presidents became larger-than-life
personalities who cultivated the image of a demigod who personally runs the
nation’s economy and is responsible for business prosperity, new jobs, personal
income, and foreign policy success.
Nurturing that image requires good press relations and a PR staff who can claim
credit in the President’s behalf for every beneficial event and deflect blame
for every disaster. Unlike Ronald Reagan, President Bush manifestly has
neither good press relations, nor a skillful PR staff.
To the consternation of Republican loyalists, the President and Karl Rove seem
to go into PR hibernation between elections, emerging only at the last moment
to edge out his liberal opponent. The 2002 and 2004 elections validated this
methodology, but clearly it’s failing at the moment. For good reason,
Republicans are nervous approaching upcoming gubernatorial and Congressional
elections.
Karl Rove may pull another rabbit out of his hat, but meanwhile the President
urgently needs public understanding and backing for his domestic and foreign
policies. Otherwise, desertions even by Republicans in Congress will compel
him to repeat the disastrous retreat from Vietnam.

Conquest of Nature

Liberalism’s most fundamental tenet is Protagoras’s dictum that “Man is the
measure of all things,” meaning that in the atheistic world of liberal-
progressivism the human mind is the only limitation on conduct. This implicit
moral relativism opens the way to totalitarianism and its tools: thought
police, secular education, genocide, abortion, and eugenics. Scientism is
invoked, like medieval alchemy, as liberals’ license to control all aspects of
nature, from human behavior to global weather.

Christine Rosen, in a Wall Street Journal review of “Better for All the World,”
by Harry Bruinius, writes:
“In 1927, physicians at the Virginia Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded in
Lynchburg sterilized a young woman named Carrie Buck. Although doctors at state
institutions across the country had performed sterilizations before, Carrie’s
case was unusual. Her sterilization had received the imprimatur of the U.S.
Supreme Court. In Buck v. Bell, the court upheld the state of Virginia’s right
to sterilize, forcibly, so-called feeble-minded individuals. “It is better for
all the world,” Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. wrote for the majority, “if
instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime, or to let them
starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit
from continuing their kind.” Holmes concluded: “Three generations of imbeciles
are enough.....”
“In 1924, Congress passed an immigration-restriction law based on eugenic
principles, assuming that certain national groups possessed better “germplasm” -
- or heritable traits—than others. Progressive politicians, intellectuals
and religious leaders supported eugenics, seeing in it an enlightened,
scientific attempt to cure humanity’s ills.”
Be it noted that ‘religious leaders’ supporting eugenics were the Social Gospelists, of whom I noted in Truth:
“Nominally-Christian theological seminaries were in the vanguard of the
movement toward socialism.Ê Rochester Theological SeminaryÕs professor Walter
Rauschenbusch, one of the best known socialist spokesmen of his era, was a
founder of the Social Gospel movement late in the 19th century.Ê Social Gospel
was nothing more nor less than socialism masquerading as Christianity.Ê
“Social Gospel embraced the avowed aims of socialism, which sound similar to
the results that flow from the BibleÕs commandment to love oneÕs neighbor as he
would wish to have his neighbor love him.Ê The insurmountable problem is that
socialism, and therefore Social Gospel, is atheistic and materialistic, i.e.,
the antithesis of Christianity and religious Judaism.”
To use today’s New York Times’s knee-jerk phrase, at the turn of the century
and into the 1920s “all the world’s scientists” supported eugenics, as did the
nation’s leaders, from Teddy Roosevelt on down. Only ignorant yokels who
doubted Darwin’s authority, people who believed in God-ordained sanctity of
life, could be so obtuse as to stand in the way of ‘progress.’
Today Justice Holmes’s logic is cited as a justification for abortion, making
it in effect a variety of eugenics. Abortion advocates tell us that the
practice reduces the numbers of children who would otherwise end up on welfare
rolls or turn to criminal activity. Liberal-progressives whose delicate
sensibilities quail at the thought of imprisoning, or ineffably, executing
criminals, find it so much more hygienic just to eliminate them very early in
life, out of sight and out of mind.
The common thread in atrocities such as eugenics and abortion is liberalism’s
faith in ‘progress’ as a purely secular and materialistic ‘thing,’ which is
summed up as ‘conquest of nature.’ The definition of ‘progress’ is thus
confined to material goods and hedonistic license under an all-powerful
government that regulates economic activity and encourages indulgence in
sensual appetites as the socialist version of Marx’s opium of the masses.
C. S. Lewis in “The Abolition of Man” put ‘conquest of nature’ into proper
perspective. He wrote:
“ ‘Man’s conquest of Nature’ is an expression often used to describe the
progress of applied science.....In what sense is Man the possessor of
increasing power over Nature?.… What we call Man’s power is, in reality, a
power possessed by some men which they may, or may not, allow other men to
profit by.… No doubt the picture could be modified by public ownership of raw
materials and factories and public control of scientific research. But unless
we have a world state this will still mean the power of one nation over
others. And even within the world state or the nation it will mean (in
principle) the power of majorities over minorities, and (in the concrete) of a
government over the people. And all long-term exercises of power, especially
in breeding [i. e., eugenics], must mean the power of earlier generations over
later ones.… Man’s conquest of Nature, if the dreams of some scientific
planners are realized, means the rule of a few hundreds of men over billions
upon billions of men.… Each new power won by man is a power over man as
well.”
Human embryo stem-cell research and cloning are next in line.
Novels like “Brave New World” and “1984” are accurate representations of the
‘progressive’ world in which liberal-socialists seek to stifle the voices of
believers in the Judeo-Christian foundations of the United States.

Marital Blitz
This November, anti–gay-marriage bills will be back on ballots with a
vengeance. But this time around, the gay and lesbian activist network is ready
to play hardball.

Do you remember the fall 2004 gay-bashing festival? In 13 states, voters agreed
to add to their constitutions a phrase like this one: “Marriage is between one
man and one woman.” The gay-bashing came afterward, when Democrats and liberal
pundits declared that greedy gay folks had brought those initiatives on
themselves with their foolish pursuit of marriage equality—and were
therefore responsible for John Kerry’s loss. Political scientists have since
debunked the claim that anti-marriage initiatives brought Kerry down. But here’
s the bad news: The anti-marriage initiatives are back.
This fall, Defense of Marriage Acts (DOMAs), which declare that “marriage is
between one man and one woman,” and SuperDOMA amendment initiatives, which also
ban “marriage-like” recognition of same-sex pairs, will be on the ballot in
Alabama, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and
Wisconsin. They’re also likely to qualify for the ballot in Arizona,
California, and Colorado. At the same time, marriage-equality lawsuits are
percolating up through the courts in California, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland,
New Jersey, New York, and Washington; at least one is likely to win soon,
giving culture warriors an excuse to roar out still more marriage-protection
proposals. Worse yet, once these initiatives pass, family-values folks will
renege on their moderate rhetoric and use them to try to ban any legal
recognition, no matter how small or even symbolic, of same-sex couples.
Here’s the good news. First, 2004’s DOMA and SuperDOMA amendments were misread.
They did not represent an anti-gay backlash; in fact, public opinion toward
lesbians and gay men is warming more every day. Second, the “gay agenda” now
has a new plan for winning over the long haul. For years, lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) legal groups have been the most successful
branches of what’s loosely called the gay movement. As a result, there’s been a
winning air war—but too few ground troops to solidify some of those wins.
Now the political groups are catching up. LGBT organizations have developed a
strategic plan to win marriage equality—and along the way, anti-
discrimination laws, zero-tolerance for school gay-bashing, and more.
A 15-year strategy has been agreed to by all the major organizational players.
Funding is in place, and new tactics are being developed and tested in this
year’s biggest clashes with anti-gay groups. As a result, says Rodger
McFarlane, executive director of the LGBT-focused Gill Foundation, “for
marriage, there is a strategy, movement coherence, and funding at scale.” Along
the way, LGBT groups are planning to change the political climate in ways that
will force politicians to support gay rights.
And the best news? As part of those tactics, LGBT groups are helping to build a
new progressive coalition from the ground up.

Understanding that 15-year plan requires understanding the context: Despite the
fact that Americans keep voting for DOMAs, there is no anti-gay backlash.
Rather, each year more Americans think lesbians and gay men should be treated
as full citizens. In 1977, Gallup found that 56 percent of Americans believed
you shouldn’t be fired just for being lesbian or gay; by May 2003, that figure
was 88 percent. In 1992, 59 percent of Americans thought lesbians and gay men
should serve openly in the military; in 2005, that figure was almost 80
percent.
With this public support, in 2005—right after 2004’s putative anti-gay “
backlash”—there was tremendous LGBT progress. Illinois and Maine passed anti-
discrimination laws. California’s legislature voted to gender-neutralize
marriage—a historic first—despite Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s veto.
Massachusetts’ legislators upheld marriage equality. Connecticut’s legislature
passed a civil unions law. Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Topeka—hardly
liberal bastions—passed LGBT antidiscrimination laws; Virginia’s governor
and Salt Lake City’s mayor extended health-insurance coverage to government
employees’ same-sex domestic partners; and Alaska’s Supreme Court unanimously
ruled that—despite the state’s DOMA—local governments must offer equal
benefits to employees’ married spouses or same-sex partners. That’s why the
religious right is so eager to run anti-marriage measures. “We were so close to
winning completely on basic nondiscrimination that the discussion!
had to go to this completely new level in order to shock and create pause
among the general voters,” said Thalia Zepatos, a National Lesbian & Gay Task
Force field organizer in California.
DOMAs are sneaky: They don’t mention lesbians and gay men. If Americans think
about same-sex marriage at all, they’re torn between the basic American belief
that “fair is fair,” and the gut sense that “marriage has always been this
way.” DOMAs appeal to the latter idea. The pro-DOMA campaigners explicitly tell
voters that the measure doesn’t insult lesbians and gay men, but merely
protects the word “marriage.” After 30 years of running anti-gay ballot
initiatives, the religious right has finally found a winning phraseology. After
all, who’s hurt when you tell people who can’t get married, that they really,
really can’t get married?
DOMAs have been so successful that, like potato chips, no state can pass just
one. Between 1995 and 2003, 40 states put DOMAs on the books—before
Massachusetts opened marriage, before 13 states in 2004 passed all-but-
redundant anti-marriage constitutional amendments. Consider Virginia, where the
legislature passed its first DOMA statute in 1997, beefed it up to a SuperDOMA
in 2004, and now has a SuperDOMA constitutional amendment on the 2006 ballot.

The 2004 marriage initiatives and the subsequent Democratic gay-bashing had a
salutary effect on LGBT organizations. “People had a strategic epiphany that
[victory] wasn’t going to come in an avalanche,” said Evan Wolfson, founding
director of the national group Freedom to Marry. “We would need a fifteen-year
plan, not a two-year plan. That sunk in in a much more grounded way, with a
sober awareness that it would be much longer and harder.”
The 2004 votes woke the community up to the fact that the LGBT legal
superheroes (Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund; Gay & Lesbian Advocates &
Defenders; National Center for Lesbian Rights; and ACLU’s Gay Rights Project)
could not defend their marriage gains. “[W]ith all the brilliant legal scholars
that we have—and there are many—for whatever reason, there’s been a blind
spot on the political side,” said Marty Rouse, who as director of MassEquality
helped stop the Massachusetts legislature from putting the Goodridge marriage
decision, which opened marriage to same-sex pairs, up for a popular vote. At
the same time, the LGBT community has been bitterly reminded that Democratic
politicians will join in the anti-gay attacks—unless LGBT groups make clear
that doing so has a serious cost.
It’s hard to convey the level of cold concentrated fury left by, say, Kerry’s
backstabbing in Massachusetts in 2004 and 2005, when he supported a state
constitutional amendment that would undo the Goodridge marriages, or by
Tennessee Democratic Congressman Harold Ford’s vote in favor of a Federal
Marriage Amendment. In one interview after another, LGBT advocates emphasized
that gay money is no longer flowing to just any Democrat who asks. “We will
reward our friends and punish the wicked,” said Rodger McFarlane of the Gill
Action Fund.
LGBT forces have decided to bulk up politically. “What can we build now to win
our freedom?” is the question of the moment, said Rouse. “We can’t wait for the
Democratic Party. We have to do this for ourselves.” That’s possible in part
because of money. A generation of frontline LGBT political activists are now in
major funding positions, as they weren’t before. Consider the transformation of
the important Gill Foundation, launched by Colorado software entrepreneur Tim
Gill in 1994 after his state passed an anti-gay constitutional amendment (later
overturned by the Supreme Court). In 2004, Gill hired a new executive director:
the colorful and impatient activist Rodger McFarlane. Under McFarlane’s
leadership at the Gill Action Fund, the foundation’s 501(c)(4) sibling, Gill
has been funding in-depth research on opinions and voting behavior. McFarlane
has also begun convening all the major LGBT organizational players in hopes of
coming up with long-term plans on marriage equali!
ty, federal legislation, and faith-based organizing—which he will then help
fund.
Elsewhere, LGBT political activists Urvashi Vaid and Tim Sweeney have stepped
into key funding positions at family foundations committed to LGBT issues.
These players are rounding up still other funders—progressive allies like
Gara LaMarche at the Open Society Institute and wealthy individual lesbians and
gay men—to fill out the war chest. At the Arcus Foundation, Vaid just gave
$3 million—a record donation for LGBT rights—to the Task Force’s movement-
building, training, and organizing efforts. Others are funding the Equality
Federation, a brand-new coalition of LGBT state groups that helps local
activists meet and swap experiences, tactics, insights, and resources. All
politics are local, especially LGBT-related politics. So, therefore, are the
approaches to winning marriage equality. The strategy—which has been
developed and agreed to by people involved in every major LGBT organization—
is what Wolfson is calling the “2020 Vision,” as outlined at the Task !
Force’s Creating Change conference last fall. By the year 2020 (give or take
five years), the goal is for 10 states to have full-marriage equality; 10
states to have civil unions or the equivalent; 10 states to have
nondiscrimination laws and be repealing (or peeling back the effects of) their
anti-gay marriage amendments; and the final 20 states to show progress.
An informed look at the national map shows that all these goals are achievable.
Five state courts—in Washington, New Jersey, California, New York, and
Connecticut, probably in that order—could easily rule in favor of marriage
equality in one to five years. (Washington’s decision, expected for months,
could come any moment.) All the New England states could move to marriage
equality—some by legislature, some by judiciary. That optimism is solidly
founded: No New England state has passed a DOMA constitutional amendment;
public opinion favors LGBT equality; the region shares Boston’s media market
and has seen that married same-sex couples haven’t hurt Massachusetts; each
state has a relatively well-organized LGBT presence; and each state’s
constitution is hard to amend.
New Jersey, a DOMA-free state, is also likely to get marriage equality sooner
rather than later. Opinion polls consistently show 55 percent of the state’s
voters favor full marriage equality. The legislature has passed and then beefed
up a domestic-partnership law, and a marriage lawsuit is moving steadily
through the state’s friendly courts. Oregon’s savvy and muscular LGBT group
will almost certainly win civil unions, and by 2020 could even repeal its anti-
marriage amendment—and go the distance.
In the bottom 20 states—predictably the South and the northwestern plains
states—the goals are more modest. “Can every state support marriage?” Rouse
says. “Absolutely not. Can they pass nondiscrimination bills? I think that’s
possible. Alabama is the only state in the country where not one gay person has
a right. Why not fight for a nondiscrimination law in Birmingham? Even if we
don’t win but put up a good fight, that sends a message.” This kind of effort
takes political muscle with local city councils and in state legislatures,
precisely the kind of muscle that LGBT organizations are now building.

As in most progressive movements these days, LGBT organizations are moving
staff and funding toward the states. There, the top priorities between now and
November are holding the high-profile gains in Massachusetts and California,
where a DOMA and a SuperDOMA may be headed toward ballot boxes, respectively.
The key tactics in both states are: build progressive coalitions, invest in
faith-based organizing, talk to voters one on one, and play hardball
politics.
California offers an outstanding political model. In 2000, its voters passed a
simple DOMA. The state’s LGBT forces came up with an incremental strategic
response: Year after year, the Democratic legislature added responsibilities
and recognitions to its domestic-partnership registry. By January 1, 2004,
California’s domestic partnerships became the equivalent of Vermont’s civil
unions—albeit for a citizenry of 34 million rather than 621,000, making it
the most important same-sex partnership law in the nation. Since California
courts have found that this registry does not violate the DOMA, two feuding
religious-right coalitions are now circulating petitions trying to get enough
signatures to ask voters to amend the state constitution by restricting
marriage to different-sex pairs and by dumping the domestic-partnership
registry.
To date, no DOMA has been defeated in an open popular vote. On the other hand,
the California electorate strongly supports the state’s domestic-partnership
registry—by 72 percent in one poll. So LGBT advocates in California have
been working on the “Equality for All Campaign” since fall 2005. The key
component: building progressive coalitions. Last year, LGBT organizers and
volunteers helped progressive allies defeat Schwarzenegger’s initiative slate,
especially the “parental notification” bill, which would have required teenage
girls to tell their parents before getting an abortion. In return, those groups
are already training their organizers and educating their members to fight the
threatened SuperDOMA.
Women’s groups and unions have been behind gay rights for quite awhile,
although organizing for each other on the ground is a breakthrough step. But
the coalition also includes groups representing people of color, which have
been slower to embrace LGBT rights. For instance, California’s is the first
national NAACP chapter to endorse marriage equality; the NAACP has been using
its lobbying power for marriage in the legislature, and will deploy ground
troops in the campaign. The same goes for the United Farm Workers (UFW):
Dolores Huerta, one of UFW’s founders, is a vocal ally, and is credited with
winning over Democratic assemblymember Simón Salinas on the marriage equality
bill; and the ufw has donated staff member Christine Chavez, granddaughter of
César, to organize Latino and labor communities for marriage equality. Similar
work is being done with Asian American and Pacific Islander groups.
Progressive and moderate religious groups are stepping up to help defeat
California’s SuperDOMA. Hundreds of congregations have been celebrating their
members’ same-sex bonds, and are now helping defend those families via an
umbrella group called California Faith for Equality. In Massachusetts, the
Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry has been an essential partner in
hanging on to the Goodridge decision. Ministers and rabbis in the Bay State
have testified to their legislators, encouraged their congregants to write
letters, persuaded fellow religious leaders to back (or not oppose) marriage
equality, and told the media that their God thought marriage equality was
morally urgent. Faith-based organizing worked so well in Massachusetts—and
is critical for LGBT success, since lesbians and gay men are regularly called
sinful and immoral—that it’s high on the organizing checklist nationally and
for every other state.
In California, activists have another strategic goal: two million conversations
with individual Americans about why gay and lesbian couples need and deserve
access to the sacred M-word. LGBT groups are helping train their coalition
partners to talk to family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. After measuring
tactics in a wide variety of communities, from Anchorage to Houston to Atlanta,
talking to likely voters one-on-one is “the only thing I know so far that
works,” said Dave Fleischer, Task Force political director.
The word “marriage” is an essential part of the message. That’s new. In
previous years, many state groups have run their anti-DOMA campaigns by
avoiding “marriage.” Based on polling, state groups put out variations of the
messages “Don’t discriminate” and “Don’t amend our sacred constitution.”
Research showed that no one bought it. “We need to be up front and talk about
marriage,” said Christopher Ott, executive director of Action Wisconsin. “We
need to make them feel that if they pull the wrong lever they are going to be
hurting their friends and neighbors.” Organizers stress that even if voters
disagree on marriage equality, the SuperDOMAs would do much more, barring
families from any other legal recognition.
But the biggest lesson of 2004 and 2005 may be this: Play hardball politics.
Every LGBT organizer now agrees that Massachusetts is the model to follow—
because LGBT forces actually won. In November 2003, in Goodridge v.
Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial
Court handed down a decision that opened marriage to same-sex pairs. In March
2004, the Massachusetts legislature proposed a DOMA constitutional amendment
that would overrule the court if it passed the legislature twice and then was
approved by voters. In the first vote, the overwhelmingly Democratic
Massachusetts legislature passed the DOMA 105-92. The political group
MassEquality went all out to reelect friends and defeat enemies, the vast
majority of whom were Democrats. “We spent more money on direct mail than the
state Democratic Party spent in 2004 Massachusetts elections,” said Rouse. It
also conducted polls, sent money and volunteers into the political campaigns
that most !
needed help, and sat down with other progressive groups to talk about
endorsements. MassEquality reelected its friends handily, even in contested
races. And it replaced an opponent—Democrat Vincent Ciampi, a longtime
legislator whose seat was considered safe—with an openly gay man.
The legislature got the message. On the next round it defeated the DOMA,
157-39. A new citizen-initiated DOMA is threatened for the 2008 popular ballot.
As LGBT groups are taking aim, Massachusetts’ legislators are far more helpful
than they were before.
LGBT groups are taking the Massachusetts show on the road. A year ago the Human
Rights Campaign (HRC), the best-funded LGBT organization, hired as its new
president Joe Solmonese, who had spent 12 years at EMILY’s List (two-and-a-half
years as CEO) building coalitions and electing candidates, and who brought his
politically savvy rolodex with him. Within six months, Solmonese had hired
ministerial activist Harry Knox to help organize faith communities and Rouse as
HRC’s national field director to help state groups create their own organizing
plans. (All this has surprised observers, since the group has long been
criticized for its singular inside-the-beltway focus, and since HRC’s
commitment to marriage equality has often been considered suspect.) The
Stonewall Democrats, who also replaced LGBT opponents with supporters in
Cleveland Heights, Ohio, have been holding “Santorum retirement parties,” fund-
raisers to take down the Pennsylvania senator who compared homosexuality to!
“man on child, man on dog” sex. They’re preparing the usual panoply of
campaign tactics—list enhancement, voter ID, get-out-the-vote methods—in
key Pennsylvania districts to tip the balance for Democratic candidate Bob
Casey. According to Eric Stern, the group’s executive director, similar local
efforts are underway to help gay-friendly Democrats win in such states as
Arizona, Maine, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Progressives and Democrats must come to grips with the fact that “gay marriage”
is not going away. “The right wing is driving this,” explained the Task Force’s
Fleischer. “We don’t have the ability to pull it off the table, even if it were
the wisest thing in the world.” In the U.S. Congress, Republicans may
reintroduce a Federal Marriage Amendment at any time, dragging LGBT resources
away from the states and back to DC. In the unfriendly states, most of this
fall’s DOMAs will pass, as will most of those proposed for 2008. At the same
time, in the friendly states, LGBT groups will keep winning their other battles
(including marriage rights) via both legislatures and courts. Even in
unfriendly states, newly hatched statewide LGBT groups are now working to
expose and repeal the SuperDOMAs’ more extreme effects, and to move forward on
more popular measures like antidiscrimination.
At a minimum, advocates will begin to demand that nongay progressives and
Democratic politicians refrain from the kinds of attacks they made in 2004 and
to talk about progressive family values in ways that advance, rather than
hobble, LGBT rights. After all, except for a few hard-right believers, most
nongay voters rank same-sex marriage at the very bottom of their list of
political concerns. There’s no point in pandering to the other side’s base and
suppressing your own. So repeat after me: “I believe in fair and equal
treatment for all American families. Now, why do you think my opponent wants to
change the subject from … [pick one: Medicaid prescription disaster, Katrina
aftermath, Iraq war, DC corruption, et cetera]?” Now you’re back on track.

The Left Still Want Your Guns

We live in a time in which our great nation remains divided on many different issues like abortion, War, same-sex marriage, states’ rights, eminent domain, and a host of other topics that can get two opposing forces into a heated debate whenever the topic of interest is brought up. I do believe that there is a number one issue and that is the war on terrorism right now, but after that I believe that most issues have an equal representation of value to the average American voter.
One issue that is seemingly not only going away, but getting worse is that the anti-gun crowd still want to ban our guns and diminish our Second Amendment rights. Left wing gurus like Michael Moore, George Soros, the ACLU, the UN, and liberal politicians like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and several others are still trying to take away our rights as free law abiding citizens to own a firearm. The particular firearm of choice to ban is the handgun.
Notice that in almost every instance where handguns have either been made harder to get or banned, crime rates have soared, not dropped as the liberal anti-gunners predicted. “Gun free D.C” has its fair share of handgun related crime and just ask London, England how well their handgun ban has worked. Crime has INCREASED, not decreased because the criminals now know that people do not have a legal way of protecting themselves so that makes the hardened criminal much braver about breaking into homes in the dead of night.
These so called leaders like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi who want to “take back America” want to take it back alright. They want nothing more than a society where guns and hunting are illegal and gay marriage and sodomy are legal. We simply cannot afford to elect leaders who show such poor judgment of morals, lawful interpretation of the constitution, and common sense decency.
Recently, according to the NRA, Elizabeth Bishop-Goldsmith, founder of Mothers Against Guns stated that transporting a weapon from one state to another should be punishable by conviction. This is similar to what New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has recently said about a police officer that was killed. He blamed the National Rifle Association and surrounding states for not having harsher laws regarding handgun registration and bans.
There is a problem with that mentality. I have stayed at a hotel by myself before 250 miles away from my home in a strange town I have never been to and feel very uncomfortable not having a way to protect myself in case someone tries to break into my hotel room. Calling the Police is a first step, but the police may not make it in time. Then what? Tell the criminal to wait about ten more minutes? Yeah right! Being able to carry a firearm, particularly a small handgun across state lines should not only be legal, but should not even be mentioned by a politician. I wonder how many of these liberals who make these laws actually break their own law by doing the very thing they speak out against? Remember Michael Moore? He is known for being anti-gun ( he is pretty much anti-everything). He got busted entering a bus carrying a concealed firearm “for protection”. If that is not blatant hypocrisy then what is?
Every time someone mentions banning guns or making some kind of new restrictions, gun sales soar. Remember Canada? When the very liberal leader of Canada, Paul Martin announced a proposal to ban all handguns, the handgun sales that week soared tremendously. It was reported that some customers even bought two handguns in the same day just to spite Mr. Martin’s proposal. While Canada and Japan and Australia and the UK can do these things it has nothing to do with America.
America has its own constitution that guarantees us the right to own and bear arms. No country or group has an right to say otherwise. Other countries can ban mustard and ketchup if they want; I don’t really care what they do over there. This is a AMERICA. We are our own people. We are FREE! We are a sovereign nation and by the grace of GOD will we stay free and sovereign!
We are entering another time when elections are coming nearer and we need to be mindful of these candidates out there and the fact that the very left wing news media will try as hard as possible to distort anything they can get their dirty little paws on to win a victory for the left. We must ignore people like Dan Rather and other affiliated “news” programs. These “news” programs often do run decent stories, but when it comes to politics, these people are as biased as they are human. We have to be careful what we believe on the evening “news” nowadays because not everything is in the best interest of the people anymore.
We must remember that the Second Amendment is here to stay no matter how much liberal politicians and billionaire activists try to take it away. We can and we must defend freedom and ALL of our liberties. The left is a little strange in that they will quote any part of the United States Constitution to make their point but refuse to even look at the Second Amendment which is the very one that made all other amendments possible.
Freedom is certainly not free. We have to earn it and fight like a dirty dog to even get noticed sometimes, but in the end those who are consistent and not willing to give up the fight will win and that, my friends, is what we as Americans are all about. We love our freedom. We live our Country. We love our God and we love our guns and we cannot and must not let anyone from anyplace at any time take those traditions, laws, morals, and ethical standards away no matter what name they give it in their own twisted world that they live in.
I am proud to be a conservative Christian American who flies my flag high in the face of terrorism and communism and am even prouder to be a supporting member of the National Rifle Association of America because of the freedom and common sense that they fight so hard to keep in this great land. They truly need a round of applause for their work and dedication for fighting left wing socialism and a very anti-constitution political branch of America.
Our forefathers did not fight and die in several major wars so that years later our freedoms, dream, hopes, and beliefs could be taken away by the very people whom they vowed to fight for. When this nation began, I am sure that the founding fathers had no intention of America becoming a socialist nation like some wish it to be. It is organizations like the National Rifle Association that keep our Second Amendment rights protected from unjust and self-righteous left wingers who hate everything that this nation stands for. I don’t know who you are with today, but I know my freedoms and I know who fights to protect them and I know whose side I am on. If you are a proud American as I am you won’t let the likes of left wing politicians and billionaires even come close to our Second Amendment rights this November and you know what you have to do to keep this from happening!

Gender-change teacher gets OK
Eagleswood board stands by decision to hire McBeth

— Lily McBeth can sleep soundly tonight, and she better: Eagleswood Elementary
might need her to teach today.
The school has found no reason to change its Feb. 13 decision to hire McBeth,
who has undergone a male-to-female gender change, as a substitute teacher.
Board attorney Paul Carr said the district would call her today if the need
arises.
The school board decided to discuss McBeth at the meeting so that residents
could discuss their concerns. Some said McBeth was a qualified teacher the
board was legally and ethically bound to hire. Those who opposed her employment
cited the psychological effect they feared McBeth could have on their children.
The issue gained momentum when Mark Schnepp, 39, of West Creek, took out a full-
page advertisement in a newspaper urging parents to attend the meeting, without
specifically saying why.
Schnepp was furious with the school board’s handling of the situation; he said
the board had acted hastily in rehiring McBeth — who had taught as a substitute
for five years at the school — after he had changed to a female.
“Show me the research that says this will not affect my children,” said
Schnepp, one of the last to speak to the board during the meeting’s public
session. “I will not allow my children to be placed in a petri dish and hope
that it turns out fine.”
The school board met with McBeth, 71, in private session for 40 minutes at the
beginning of the meeting as more than a hundred people filled the small
auditorium, where American flags hung from the cream-colored walls alongside
colorful, erratic children’s drawings. Carr said McBeth satisfied a number of
questions school board members had, but Carr would not comment on the nature of
the questions.
McBeth was ecstatic after the meeting.
“Whenever the phone rings,” she said, when asked when she would be ready to
teach.
But the board’s decision not to remove McBeth left Schnepp and some other
parents dejected. Steve and Lisa Bond said they were considering removing their
5-year-old daughter from the school.
“My child is too young to understand transgender (people) and the gay agenda,”
Lisa Bond said.
The board listened to residents from West Creek and around the state in
opposition to and in support of the board’s decision. A healthy applause from
what seemed to be an evenly divided auditorium followed each person who spoke
during the meeting’s public session. Steven Goldstein, chairman of Garden State
Equality, attended the meeting with about 12 associates from the organization,
which supports rights for gay and transgender people. Three State Police
troopers stood stoic guard at the auditorium’s doorways; the township has no
police force and is covered by the State Police.
Except for one man who screamed “You all still have time to repent!” before
leaving the auditorium, there were no outbursts.
Leandra Bourdot, 17, who had McBeth as a substitute teacher at Pinelands
Regional Middle School when the latter was male, said she saw no reason why the
board shouldn’t hire McBeth.
“He was a competent teacher,” Bourdot said of McBeth, before the meeting
began. “I don’t see how that could’ve changed.”
Diana Ryan, who once worked with McBeth, said she discussed McBeth’s gender
change with her children.
“It’s a little weird, a little different,” said Ryan, a West Creek resident for
14 years with two children attending the school. But her children “probably
prefer Lily McBeth to other substitute school teachers.”
Ryan also said the board was setting a good example for surrounding
communities.
“It’s nice to see Eagleswood on the news not for being … provincial, but for
being kind of progressive,” she said.
Cindy Tindall said she’d like to teach her children about transgender people.
But she thought McBeth would confuse her sons because McBeth had already taught
them when she was male.
“This subject is so hard for adults to deal with, so why are we going to
subject children to it,” said Tindall, her voice shaking.
McBeth, in a dark pinstripe suit, sat in the front row next to Goldstein and
her lawyer, Leslie Farber. At times her shoulders shook as if she was getting
upset, but when she took the microphone near the end of the public session, she
summoned her humor.
“A soul has no gender; take away this body of mine; you can’t take my soul. I’m
just one of God’s children,” McBeth said, after thanking the board and the
public. “I am exactly what my creator made me, and he don’t make no junk.”

The Road Ahead

If the next President follows extreme left-wing doctrine, the Constitution
ultimately will become meaningless as our heirs are forced into the slavery of
Dhimmitude.

We have only to look at Western Europe to see the destructive effect of Muslim
populations on the social and political constitutions of those nations.
Muslims do not assimilate themselves into the local culture. To the contrary,
they use the local conceptions of civil rights to demand that they be accorded
special status outside the requirements placed on other citizens. In extreme
cases, Muslim communities are demanding recognition as autonomous political
jurisdictions within their host countries, somewhat as Indian nations are in
the United States.
While the situation is not that severe yet in the United States, it will
rapidly become so, if we persist in our lack of immigration policy and
ineptness at enforcing what does exist.
Liberals have agitated in the recent past for streamlined naturalization and
citizenship procedures in order to put millions of new voters (who presumably
will support Democratic party candidates) onto the voter rolls. They have
supported publishing all documents in a multitude of languages, even permitting
citizenship ceremonies in foreign languages, which needless to say abets the
separatist impulse.
Multi-cultural education actively discourages assimilation at the same time
that it disparages our own cultural heritage and reduces our founders to minor
roles, often less than those accorded recent figures whose only claim to
special status is their minority racial or ethnic identity.
Most immigrant groups don’t come here with the intent to subvert the
Constitution. Liberals do that for them. Muslims, however, are the
exception.
Muslim clerics in American mosques funded by Wahabbi fanatics in Saudi Arabia
preach virulent hatred for the United States and its cultural values (what
pitiful vestiges remain from the founding era), particularly the individualism
and belief in inalienable natural-law rights that are the foundation of the
whole of the Constitution and particularly essential to the Bill of Rights.
As others have observed, Muslims have a much higher birth rate than do most
Americans, in part because of abortions and unwillingness to commit to married
relationships.
Overlay all of this with the liberals’ devotion to the UN and abhorrence of the
United States defending itself militarily, and our nation will be subverted
from within and overwhelmed from without in the next few generations.

mongering, but that’s what was said of Churchill’s warnings about the
intentions of National Socialist Germany before 1939.

Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, “protected people,” are free
to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number
of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur’an’s command that they
“feel themselves subdued” (Sura 9:29). This denial of equality of rights and
dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part of the law that
global jihadists are laboring to impose everywhere, ultimately on the entire
human race.
The dhimmi attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Western academic
study of Islam, and from there into journalism, textbooks, and the popular
discourse. One must not point out the depredations of jihad and dhimmitude; to
do so would offend the multiculturalist ethos that prevails everywhere today.
But in this era of global terrorism this silence and distortion has become
deadly. Therefore Dhimmi Watch seeks to bring public attention to the plight of
the dhimmis, and by doing so, to bring them justice.
Cartoon rage
Diana West (Washington Times, February 10, 2006) identifies the core element of international cartoon rage: the attempt to turn Western non-Muslims into dhimmis.
We need to learn a new word: dhimmitude. I’ve written about dhimmitude
periodically, lo, these many years since September 11, but it takes time to
sink in. Dhimmitude is the coinage of a brilliant historian, Bat Ye’or, whose
pioneering studies of the dhimmi, populations of Jews and Christians vanquished
by Islamic jihad, have led her to conclude that a common culture has existed
through the centuries among the varied dhimmi populations. From Egypt and
Palestine to Iraq and Syria, from Morocco and Algeria to Spain, Sicily and
Greece, from Armenia and the Balkans to the Caucasus: Wherever Islam conquered,
surrendering dhimmi, known to Muslims as “people of the book [the Bible],” were
tolerated, allowed to practice their religion, but at a dehumanizing cost.
There were literal taxes (jizya) to be paid; these bought the dhimmi the right
to remain non-Muslim, the price not of religious freedom, but of religious
identity. Freedom was lost, sorely circumscribed by a body of Islamic law
(sharia) designed to subjugate, denigrate and humiliate the dhimmi. The
resulting culture of self-abnegation, self-censorship and fear shared by far-
flung dhimmi is the basis of dhimmitude. The extremely distressing but highly
significant fact is, dhimmitude doesn’t only exist in lands where Islamic law
rules.
This is the lesson of Cartoon Rage 2006, a cultural nuke set off by an Islamic
chain reaction to those 12 cartoons of Muhammad appearing in a Danish
newspaper. We have watched the Muslim meltdown with shocked attention, but
there is little recognition that its poisonous fallout is fear. Fear in the
State Department, which, like Islam, called the cartoons unacceptable. Fear in
Whitehall, which did the same. Fear in the Vatican, which did the same. And
fear in the media, which have failed, with few, few exceptions, to reprint or
show the images. With only a small roll of brave journals, mainly in Europe, to
salute, we have seen the proud Western tradition of a free press bow its head
and submit to an Islamic law against depictions of Muhammad. That’s
dhimmitude.

Federal Budgets...
Federal Budgets: The Starting Point

Budgets were not originally open-ended wish-lists. The New Deal changed that,
inflation commenced, and deficits have become the norm.

Historically, the study of economics grew out of budgeting for the political
state and necessarily reflected the prevailing political and philosophical
views. Federal budgeting today is still blighted by the welfare-state
philosophy of the New Deal. This means that avoiding inflation and budget
deficits, over the long term, is impossible.
When economics developed as a separate intellectual discipline in the 18th
century, it was then called ‘political economy,’ a term that better depicts the
function of doctrine than our present-day term ‘economics.’ Political economy,
in conjunction with government budgeting, was the study of the most productive
and beneficial ways to allocate economic resources that are limited in the
short run, as well as how to set tax policies and government regulation most
effectively to encourage increased production of economic resources.
Today in the United States budgeting starts, not with allocating known
revenues, but preparing special-interest wish-lists, many of which conflict
with each other, then fighting over whether to raise taxes or borrow to fund
these wish-lists.
As John F. Cogan notes in The Concise Encyclopedia of Economics, “The congressional budget process itself has contributed mightily to persistent budget deficits. The most important feature of the current budget process is its decentralized nature. At no point in the process does anyone decide on the total amount the federal government will spend. Instead, responsibility for individual legislative bills that determine the total amount of spending is divided up among fifteen separate committees in the Senate and seventeen committees in the House of Representatives.… This decentralization of spending authority creates powerful incentives for deficit financing.”
The result is what French socialists discovered early in the 19th century:
intellectual planners can’t control the process, because the voters are
impelled, not by their needs, but by their limitless desires for more. This is
known as butchering the hog and dispensing the pork, a process not designed to
promote either the health of the economy, or the general welfare.
The Federal budgeting process was not always so. Mr. Cogan observes that
Federal budget deficits were non-existent or inconsequential from 1799 until
1885, while the budgeting process was centered in a single committee is each
house of Congress. During the Progressive era, from 1886 until 1921, budget
deficits were the norm under decentralization among different Congressional
committees. Under conservative Republican administrations, from 1922 until the
impact of the Depression in 1931, the budgeting process was again centralized,
and the Federal government spent less than its revenues, producing an explosion
of business growth.
Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal poisoned the process and we have never recovered
from the debilitating effects. FDR raised income tax rates from the 20 percent
range to more than 80 percent, strangled business with a host of new regulatory
agencies, created welfare-state income-redistribution programs, and reverted to
decentralized budgeting.
After virtual price stability throughout the nation’s history, apart from
wartimes, the erosion of steady, unrelenting inflation commenced in 1932.
Keynesian economics, still the guide book for liberals, decreed that
unemployment could be prevented only by Federal deficit spending. The only
concern was finding new devices to augment deficit spending.
Private business was believed to be incapable of returning to its activity
level of 1929, so the Feds would have to take over the role of employing people
and funding new technology. Hence the burgeoning numbers of Federal agencies.
Deficit spending and inflation slackened when Presidents Kennedy and Reagan cut
taxes, and when President Clinton was compelled by newly-elected Republican
Congressional majorities to do the same. President Clinton’s short-lived
budget surplus was a mirage produced by the temporary confluence of the dot.com
business bubble and one-time, huge reductions in military spending (which
encouraged Al Queda’s 9/11 attack).
As a formal discipline, political economy took flight in the 18th century in
France and England. For the United States, Adam Smith’s “Wealth of Nations”
was, until the Progressive era, the guiding doctrine. Smith famously declared
that the true wealth of a nation is, not its fixed resources such as land and
gold (as in the case of Spain’s New World conquests), but the freedom and
ingenuity of its citizens.
Whence came the concept of laissez-faire, the idea that reducing government
regulation and tariffs to the minimum and otherwise encouraging manufacturing
and trade would cause citizens to produce far more useful goods and services
than could any government ministries prescribing who should do what and how
much should be charged.
This spotlights the unbridgeable chasm between economic understandings of the
founders and those of present-day liberal-progressives, among whom are to be
found a great many nominal Republicans.
The founders understood that people pioneer in the wilderness, start up new
businesses, discover new technologies, and thereby raise the standard of living
for everyone, because of their expectations. Today people invest in the stocks
of companies based on their expectations about future prospects.
In contrast, liberal-progressives implicitly view the economy as a static fund
of wealth. Their function is to divide that fund equally, without regard to
merit, in accordance with socialistic concepts of social justice. As they do
not subscribe to the concept of expectations as a driving force in economic
affairs, liberal-progressives discount the demonstrated validity of President
John F. Kennedy’s “rising tide that lifts all boats” as the justification for
his huge tax cuts in the 1960s. They have denigrated President Kennedy’s
insight as ‘trickle-down economics.’
It is this mindset that drives today’s Federal budget process and accounts for
the endless harping by Congressional Democrats on ‘tax cuts for the rich.’
They remain fixated on the fact that the poor are not as wealthy as the top
tier of the economy, because socialism preaches that the only meaningful
freedom is the materialistic standard of equal access for everyone to any of
society’s goods and services that he wants. Liberalism’s liberty is not a
matter of the spirit, but of the dinner plate.
No thought is given to the effect of destroying incentives to risk-taking
innovation by mandating that everyone must have as nearly equal income as
possible. At the outset of the Clinton administration, the President’s
economic advisors, urged on by Al Gore, pushed for creating in the United
States what was then called Japan, Inc. Ð the tightly regulated and integrated
complex of huge Japanese manufacturing, trading, and banking enterprises under
the tutelage of government ministries.
President Clinton’s advisors alleged that too many foreign companies were
acquiring control of American companies and vital resources, that corporations
were looking at short-term measures to increase the next quarter’s earning per
share, without regard to the long run. We hear echoes of this today in the
hullabaloo over the take over of management of some of our seaports by the
Dubai Ports World organization.
The liberal-progressive prescription was to impose tighter controls on private
businesses, to establish a national council to determine what were to be the
important technologies in the future, and to allocate Federal funds to their
research and development. Fortunately for our well-being, the vision was
postponed when, sadly, Japan slid into an economic slump from which it is only
now emerging.
The collectivist vision didn’t die, unfortunately, as evidenced by Al Gore and
company’s strident advocacy of the Kyoto Protocols, designed to reduce our
level of economic activity and bring us down to ‘social-justice’ equality with
third-world economies.
The lesson to be drawn from this debilitating tinkering by liberal-progressives
is that, unless we return to centralized budgeting and start with a fixed
ceiling for total Federal spending, inflation will accelerate, the dollar will
tank, exponential growth of Social Security and Medicare entitlements will
bankrupt us, and Al Queda madrassas will be teaching Arabic to your
grandchildren while they memorize the Koran.

ABORTION IS WRONG!
The Abortion Debate

In the last few days many of us have read about or at least heard about South Dakota’s Abortion Ban. Many thought that when states began to introduce legislation like this, conservatives would stand up and push it through, but so far this has not been the case in South Dakota. Some conservatives have spoken out against this simply because they do not believe the time is right for the Supreme Court to rule in favor of States’ rights in cases like this.There are at least two more conservative judges needed to overturn the damage done by the left’s choices of past judges.
Mississippi may be next. For years, Mississippians have wanted an abortion free state and most abortion clinics have been shut down in Mississippi. Only one remains and I personally believe that it is only a matter of time before that one disappears as well. Abortion clinics in my home state of Mississippi have a severe amount of public outcry against them. The one remaining clinic faces almost daily protests and prayer vigils held outside the clinic. I consider myself a conservative pro-lifer and would not mind seeing the clinic slow down its operations of abortions on demand.
The proposed abortion ban of Mississippi would exclude cases of rape, incest, or a imminent danger to the life of the mother. I know that these exclusions already apply but are heavily abused, twisted, and manipulated in order for those who lack personal responsibility to get a free ride from taking care of their illegitimate children. They call it abortion and normal people call it murder. The number of abortions due to extra-marital sex greatly outnumbers legitimate reasons like rape, incest, or life threatening situations. The number one cause of women wanting an abortion is that they cannot or will not say “NO” to sex outside of marriage. When sex outside of a covenant Biblical marriage relationship occurs and the woman gets pregnant they usually go with two choices:get married or have an abortion. The whole thing could be prevented by practicing abstinence before marriage.
People on the left side of the political spectrum like to blame religious leaders for not supporting condom distribution or the “morning after” pill, but condoms and pills would not be needed if abstinence was practiced and it would dramatically reduce STDs. I see no cons here, only pros. If men and women truly love each other and respect themselves and each other and really are Christian they’ll wait until marriage and an abortion is not needed.
What about rape you ask. Rape is a subject that is hard to discuss concerning abortion. The child inside the mother’s womb still has a soul given by God and God still has a plan for that child no matter how it was conceived. That’s why conservative Christians believe abortion is wrong. Abortion consists of the taking of an innocent unborn life to benefit the living born life and that is just not fair at all. Incest? That’s gross and evil but it happens. Perhaps abortion in this situation should be allowed, I don’t really know. That’s a tough choice to make. Life threatening illness? If a mother has a situation where she will absolutely without a shadow of a doubt die due to complications with a pregnancy, then abortion may be legal in my book, but sexual lust and irresponsibility is out of the question. Idf one is responsible enough to have a sexual relationship outside marriage, then they are responsible enough to take care of that child as well.
If Mississippi does pick up similar legislation as South Dakota, other states may follow. That may be enough to prompt the Supreme Court to look at the issue of abortion and states’ rights in a whole different manner. It would definitely be a great step in winning the culture war.
