I found this post online and it is directly talking to Black people in Detroit.

I listen to black talks from time to time to hear what is going on in this city. Of course in this God-forsaken city I was not surprised to hear the same old thing. Especially on radio stattions like WHPR and WCHB. The constant fingerpointing, whining, and bitching in general, never ceases.I asked myself, just what do these people want? Sadly, most of them don’t really know what they want.

Listening to this type, you will always hear the following:"I want to be free.""Blacks need to get together""It’s racism""Islam is the black man’s religion""Bush is the cause of all of this’"We need reparations""Remember Willie Lynch""Support our black businesses"I will stop here a minute, and attempt to explain why they are wrong or don’t know what the hell they are talking about.

“I want to be free”

You already are, no one is keeping you from moving where you want to, preparing to get employment where you want to, or even marrying who you want to. You are able to travel all over this country, and even go to other countries, when and where you wish. You are able to go into any store and buy what you wish. You are NOT a slave, you ARE free!"Blacks need to get together"There is NO group anywhere where people ALL think alike, and blacks are no exception. We are NOT a monolithic group, and anyone thinks that way is sadly mistaken. Many of blacks have isolated themselves from certain segments of the black population simply because they don’t want to be around them!

“It’s racism”

This is an overused term, used by most disgruntled negroes, to blame any white that dares to speak his opinion about anything connected with blacks. There has always been a difference between ...bigots....segregationists....discrimination...and racism. For example, if someone white tells me, that some blacks aare criminal minded, am I supposed to get angry with his statement? No, but with some, that would be a racist statement! Most whites, and other groups are not racist, but prefer being around their own group , and I can find no fault with that. It’s all a matter of culture, and class.

“Islam is the black man’s religion”

What a bunch of nonsense! Most negroes that spout that, are attempting to distance from Christanity of which they think is an invention of the white race. First of all, Islam came years later after christanity, and while some negroes seem to adopt Islam, nothing is ever mentioned about black slavery and muslims. It was the Muslims that started black slavery, by going into East Africa, and capturing blacks to make slaves out of them. One would suppose that any negro would know this, but it appears as though they are not aware of this fact. They would much rather give themselves arabic names, parade around with their gowns on, deeming themselves of some importance. None of this negates the fact that Islam is DIRECTLY connected with slavery.

“Bush is the cause of all of this”

All of what? Since Mr. Bush won the election the last time, the liberal negro has been pissed off at Mr. Bush’s win, and have tried ,(very unsuccessfully), to blame the president for any, and everything. It is by his nature, and stupidity, the negro loves the Democrat Party so much. Frankly, there’s not much difference between the two, but you wouldn’t think that if you listened to some negroes! With leaders like Jesse Jackson, and Julian Bond, one might expect this blame game that they’re playing, but I only wonder how can an educated negro believe all of this rhetoric? Some negroes are still stuck back in the sixties, expecting another “program” to come forth and save them, but this is NOT going to happen! The only options left, is for the negro to uplift himself, by correcting all of the prevelant ills in his community, thus giving hope to those that have been brainwashed into a state of failure.

“We need reparations”

For what? With nearly 800 billion dollars spent by blacks in this country, why do we need to be
given something? This is nothing more than a disguised welfare trick dreamed up by Elijah Poole, and Louis Walcott in the so-called Nation of Islam. Face facts, you’ve gotten all about that you’re going to get, the rest is left up to you. You must remember what these same people said,"why BEG for crumbs from the white man’s table, when you can do for self?” It appears that this is precisely what is happening now, we are begging. What happened to “doing for self”?
\

“Remember Willie Lynch”

A completely fabricated internet hoax, that have negroes quoting this supposed slaveowner, as if it were the gospel truth! Many people have attempted to find the origins of this hoax, but so far, no beginning has been found. Several noted people have examined the document, only to find that the words, did not match the time that this was speech supposely written. I find it amazing that negroes can believe this trash, but on the other hand, I can understand. These are the people that already have problems about themselves to begin with, and this only supports their sense of inferiority.

“Support our black business”

Back in the days of racial segregation, we did support our black owned businesses, because we had no other choice but to. Todays black owned business, should be just that, black owned, but open to all, not just blacks. In order to do business in todays society, you must COMPETE with all business, not just a special few. I do support businesses in my community, and some are black, but these same businesses need to focus on all customers, not just black. It would truly be wonderful if some of the disgruntled negroes used their brains for a change, and not their emotions. Sadly enough, i don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.

“Chris Crutcher: Do You Want Your Child Exposed to This Author?”

by Donna Garner

January 20, 2006

Chris Crutcher is an author who is traveling around the country and speaking at
public school assemblies. He is pushing the gay lifestyle which can be affirmed
by the fact that his book Athletic Shorts is on the Great Gay Teen Book List.

Please notice the erroneous and unsubstantiated statement which Crutcher makes
on his website: “Because they are forced to lead repressed lives, gay kids have
a three times greater suicide rate than heterosexual kids.” To my knowledge
there is no research which affirms this statement; in fact, NARAL (posted
below) says, “...no studies support the hypothesis that the social disapproval
of homosexuality is the prime cause of the high levels of internal distress
evident in homosexual populations even long before AIDS.” If Crutcher is going
to make such assertive statements in the presence of impressionable school
people, he needs to provide documentation to verify his statements.

Why don’t school leaders, influenced by the American Library Association, quit
polluting students’ minds with this teen literature (called"authentic
literature") and simply figure out creative ways to get students to read the
great, time-tested classics of the world?

Here is the NARTH website and the statement from that website: http://www.narth.com/docs/bioresearch.html

The Biological Research on Homosexuality

Book Excerpt:

Homosexuality and American Public Life

Edited by Christopher Wolfe
Spence Publishing Co. (Dallas, TX)

Is Social Disapproval the Cause of Distress Among Both Pedophiles and
Homosexuals?

In spite of its superficial appeal and the activists’ repeated claims, no
studies support the hypothesis that the social disapproval of homosexuality is
the prime cause of the high levels of internal distress evident in homosexual
populations even long before AIDS. (That social stigma would cause some
distress, is of course the small kernel of truth upon which the exaggeration is
built.) Such studies as the one cited immediately above suggest that both the
high levels of emotional distress, as well as homosexuality itself, have at
least one common root in painful childhood experiences, in the same way that
other deviations from the sexual norm (such as pedophilia) likewise do. It
makes just as much sense to claim that the high levels of psychological
abnormality and personal distress found among pedophiles are due solely to the
social disapproval of pedophilia.

The following excerpt is taken from the list put out by Great Gay Teen Books ( http://www.alexsanchez.com/gay_teen_books.htm)

Athletic Shorts, by Chris Crutcher (Dell)
A short story collection, including two wonderful stories with gay themes and
characters: “A Brief Moment in the Life of Angus Bethune,” which tells the
story of a fat teenage boy, the brunt of jokes in school, whose divorced
parents are remarried – his father to a man and his mother to a woman; and, “In
the Time I Get,” the story of a high school athlete who must confront his own
bigotry toward a gay man who is dying of AIDS. Many of Crutcher’s novels and
stories are sports-related, and are incredibly deep and insightful about the
lives of teens. A must-read novel is Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes.

===============================================================

Here are Chris Crutcher’s words as found on his website:

http://www.chriscrutcher.com/index.2ts?page=censorship

“Because they are forced to lead repressed lives, gay kids have a three times
greater suicide rate than heterosexual kids. We cannot, as educators, pretend
not to know those statistics, and when we know them and still choose to bow to
the censors, we become accomplices in the results of their depression, because
when we censor these stories, we censor these kids. We tell them loud and
clear that they have good reason for that depression, and for thoughts of
looking for a way out. We can’t pretend to not know what we know.

“Educators, particularly social studies teachers, are fond of repeating
the old saying, ‘Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
‘ I couldn’t agree more. Overwhelmingly, modern censors are made up of
conservative Christians. You might want to visit some Ku Klux Klan history and
listen to them evoke the name of God to back their bigotry. And make no
mistake about it; if you engage in policy that diminishes a tenth (or even a
hundredth) of a population that is born into their circumstances, you are a
bigot. I don’t care how many houses you build in Latin America or how many
days you volunteer to work at the local Food Bank or how much money you tithe
or give to charity. We believe in equality or we don’t; we believe in justice
or we don’t, and hiding the truths of people’s lives is unjust.

“A thirteen year old gay boy that I worked with recently (who has given me
permission to air his views) told me the thing that hurts him most is that for
the next four years he will be unable to let anyone know who he really is. He
can’t allow the most powerful forces of his adolescence to be made evident even
in harmless flirtation because of the possible consequences. Nobody wants to
be Matthew Shepherd. But he also told me the kids these days aren’t as bigoted
as the adults. That gives me hope for our kids, but shames me as an adult. It
should shame us all. “

Here come the school anti-bullying articles, highlighting homosexuality and our
kids, churning out of the public relations machine at GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian
and Straight Education Network).

Notice the wellness centers and how they provide “confidential” counseling to
teens, bypassing parents. Just one more reason to stand up and get these
activities out of schools--or remove our kids once and for all.

EXCERPT:

“But gay rights advocates say little things - basic sensitivity training for
teachers, a rainbow sticker on a teacher’s door, a gay-straight alliance and
enumerating sexual orientation as a protected group in an anti-discrimination
policy - can go a long way.”

Tolerance reaching gay teens?; As debate swirls, schools avoid specifics if
possible

By Elizabeth Redden, Delaware State News

DOVER - From the courtroom steps of San Francisco to Hollywood’s steamy same-
sex kisses to the lobby of Delaware’s Legislative Hall, there are signs of a
cultural shift afoot.

People Downstate and across the country seem more inclined to address sexual
orientation than they were just a generation ago.

Yet, as the debate surrounding Delaware’s anti-discrimination bill
demonstrates, it has not been a smooth transition, but a grinding and halting
one, stopped by some and started by others, again and again.

Gay rights advocates battle for what they insist should be equality for all
people, no matter their sexual orientation. By raising awareness, they say they
are fostering tolerance.

Opponents say the very fabric of Delaware’s family oriented lifestyle is
threatened. They fear passage of the bill would promote immoral behavior,
disease and same-sex marriage.

High schools, which serve as education centers and cruxes for communities, are
not immune to the tension.

As gay students become more comfortable expressing lifestyles and social
preferences, the tug-of-war continues.

Tight-lipped when probed on the topic of sexual orientation, many school
personnel see their buildings as safely outside the battlefield.

If given the choice to confront issues surrounding sexual orientation, schools
will typically choose not to, said John Baker, executive director of AIDS
Delaware.

And so schools pursue unity and blanket anti-discrimination policies, helping
maintain a culture of silence for a topic that is, to some, too controversial
to touch.

Role for schools

In addressing issues surrounding sexual orientation, school personnel walk a
fine tightrope.

On one hand, some say they should do more to reach out to sexual minority
students, while others say the topic has no place in schools.

“This is a very slanted subject and I think the schools ought to keep out of
the business overall,” said Charles N. Valenti, of Rehoboth Beach, a retired U.
S. Army lieutenant colonel.

“Sexual orientation is not a school matter.”

“You do have people who aren’t comfortable with homosexuality and that’s kind
of why it’s a really delicate situation,” said Whitney Blankenship, 18, of
Magnolia, a 2005 graduate of Polytech High School and University of Delaware
freshman.

“I think the way to make most people happy would be not to discriminate but not
to promote it, but instead promote unity and acceptance of all things.

“You’re kind of having your cake, and eating it too.”

Caesar Rodney High School has a Unity Club, which works to foster an accepting
school environment, Principal Dr. Kevin R. Fitzgerald said.

He conceded that more conscious effort has been placed upon eliminating
discrimination based on race than sexual orientation.

“We deal with teaching tolerance, and in general, when you talk about
tolerance, and acceptance, you deal with all different groups,” Dr. Fitzgerald
said.

“But most certainly, we’ve dealt with the race issue in society more than
anything else.”

At many schools, wellness centers become the destinations for student issues
surrounding topics of sexual orientation.

“We generally filter issues of that nature, if there are problems, through the
school-based wellness center,” said Dover High School Principal Robert D.
Adams. “They simply have more resources.”

School wellness centers are typically administered by medical organizations,
such as Bayhealth or Beebe medical centers, and managed by the state Division
of Public Health.

They provide a range of physical and mental health services and provide
counseling and referrals.

Sue Chafin, a licensed professional counselor of mental health at Milford High
School’s wellness center, which is run through Bayhealth Medical Center, said a
wellness center is “a place that we try to provide a safe, confidential
environment, for any student, with any issue.”

She said Milford’s center does not hold information sessions on specific topics
but provides individual counseling and information to address all kinds of
emotional and physical needs.

“Because they know that services are available there, they (gay teens) tend to
migrate toward the wellness centers,” said Philip Cross, president of JUST for
Youth, a coalition of organizations that aims to raise awareness of risks faced
by gay youths.

Though he said that’s a positive development, he’d like to see more services
within the schools.

“I’d like to see more guidance counselors and social workers who are associated
with the district learn more,” Mr. Cross said.

But Mr. Valenti said schools should not provide confidential counseling and
school personnel should not serve as advisers on any subjects that are not
academic.

“They have no right to offer that kind of counseling,” he said.

“They’re interfering in a child’s life. When you get right down to it, the
basic thing is the school is usurping parental authority in this kind of
subject. They should stay out of it entirely.”

Harrassment

Some argue that given sobering statistics regarding harassment of gay
teenagers, schools that do not address the issue are simply sidestepping what
is a real and tangible problem.

Neil Bomberg, public policy director for the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education
Network, a national organization based in New York, said gay students are
particularly vulnerable to bullying and harassment, are likely to average one
grade point below their peers and experience high absenteeism rates.

In a 2005 online survey of 3,400 students, age 13-18, and 1,000 secondary
school teachers, GLSEN found that the second-most common reason for harassment
in schools is actual or perceived sexual orientation.

No Delaware data on bullying and harassment is available.

Though the University of Delaware’s Youth Risk Behavior survey, administered in
odd-numbered years, includes questions on sexual orientation, there is only one
year of data available on the topic, said Dr. Roberta E. Gealt, an associate
scientist at the university’s Center for Drug and Alcohol Studies.

Questions on bullying were added to the 2005 survey, she said in an e-mail, but
results have not been released.

In lieu of state-specific data, Janet Ray, an education associate for
comprehensive school health for the Delaware Department of Education, said they
must rely on the national trend data in assessing the state of the schools.

High school administrators consistently point to their schools’ tolerant
environments.

“I’m very proud of our students and the way they accept each other,” Caesar
Rodney’s Dr. Fitzgerald said.

“I think we’re much more tolerant toward orientation than we used to be,” Mr.
Adams added.

“One of the things that you see at Dover High School is that we are probably as
diverse a high school as you will find anywhere in the state. Thankfully, we
all get along pretty well.”

Mr. Cross isn’t sure the picture is as rosy.

“We hear that a lot - ‘Oh, we don’t have any gay kids in our school,’ or ‘It’s
not a problem; I don’t hear about it,’” he said.

“They feel that if an administrator doesn’t hear about it, it’s not there, and
that’s not true. Other times, they don’t want to hear about it.”

“It’s very common to hear slang like, ‘That’s gay,’ just little acts of bigotry
here and there,” said Randy Roberts, president of Parents, Families & Friends
of Lesbians and Gays of York, Pa.

Mr. Roberts and his wife, Holly, part-time residents of Lewes, became involved
with safe school efforts after their son, Steve, told them he was gay about two
years ago.

The couple eventually hopes to start a PFLAG organization Downstate.

“People hear, ‘Oh, that’s so gay,’ or ‘Oh, he’s a f**’ at school and often no
one will say anything,” Mr. Cross said.

“I think people don’t want to get involved and don’t want to make an issue out
of it, whereas an epithet toward a religious group or a racial or ethnic group
in a school - that kind of remark wouldn’t be tolerated.”

Daniel Scott, 19, of Magnolia, a 2005 Polytech graduate and freshman at
Delaware Technical & Community College, said high school personnel are not
always responsive to gay students’ complaints of discriminatory comments.

“I think they were maybe trying to avoid it, just because they didn’t want to
start a lot of controversy or anything,” he said.

Polytech Principal Bruce Curry deferred specific questions on the topic to
Superintendent Dr. Dianne G. Sole, who did not return three voice-mail messages
seeking comment left over several days.

Karen Middlekauf, a UD freshman from Hollidaysburg, Pa., said that while there
were some active efforts to stop harassment of gay students at her school, “I
don’t think (school personnel) made it about the sexual orientation.”

“It wasn’t like they made it a point to say that calling gay people names just
wasn’t right,” she said.

“You would encounter it at just about any high school,” Ms. Blankenship said of
bullying and harassment, adding she believed Polytech generally fostered an
environment in which harassment was deemed unacceptable.

“There are going to be people who are going to be homophobic, who can’t
understand other people who are different from them.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a huge, mondo, cataclysmic problem, but it’s there, it’s
going to be there.”

Mr. Valenti said it’s part of growing up.

“They have all these stories, well, kids make fun of them,” he said.

“That’s a lot of baloney. All kids get made fun of.”

Talking about it

Though the State News contacted about two dozen Downstate high school students
who identify themselves as gay, none attained parental permission to speak on
the record.

Two parents said they feared community backlash and their children’s safety.

Talking about sexual orientation is still taboo in certain circles, so a
statewide effort to push it into the forefront of schools’ consciousness has
begun.

DOE, in connection with JUST for Youth and the American Psychological
Association, organizes statewide school personnel inservice training annually.

The department also provides assistance to districts that request help.

“The whole idea is when we address diversity, making sure sexual orientation is
included in that,” Ms. Ray said.

Teachers, for instance, may choose to display the rainbow-patterned “safe
space” stickers distributed at the training on their doors to alert students
that they are open to discussing issues surrounding sexual orientation.

Though common sights on college campuses, such stickers are harder to come by
in high schools, leaving students to guess which teachers might be more
sensitive to their situations.

Some kids have a better sixth sense for that than others, said Steve Roberts,
son of Randy and Holly Roberts.

“The important thing for schools is to be a safe haven for (lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender) kids, because many of these kids are deathly afraid
to come out to their family,” his father said.

While Steve said discriminatory attitudes sometimes can be found in teachers,
Mr. Cross said many want to reach out to their gay students, but don’t know
how.

The 2005 GLSEN study found that 85 percent of teachers believe it is their
obligation to create a safe school environment for gay students.

“Teachers come in and say they don’t know anything about this,” Mr. Cross said
of the inservice training.

“They sort of soak up everything we tell them like a sponge.”

Anti-discrimination

Virtually all schools have policies governing anti-discrimination and freedom
of expression.

But many do not designate “sexual orientation” as a protected category.

The Smyrna High School student code of conduct, for example, stipulates that
students have the responsibility not to mock or demean other persons or groups
and to “accept every person as an individual human being and to promote
intercultural and group relations and understanding.”

Smyrna High Principal Anthony E. Soligo said he believes designating lists of
protected groups acts as a form of discrimination in itself.

“I would suggest that you’re wise not to identify specific organizations
because I would suggest that you’re discriminating against them by identifying
them specifically,” he said.

However, GLSEN’s 2005 study found that enumerating protected groups correlates
with the percentage of students who report they feel safe in schools.

Ninety-five percent of students surveyed in schools with detailed anti-
discrimination policies reported feeling safe, compared to 83 percent in
schools without the policies.

“I think schools that do put non-discrimination policies in place that include
sexual minority youths - it indicates that the school already has some
awareness of it and typically the administration and staff are attuned to it,”
said Mr. Baker, executive director of AIDS Delaware.

A 2004 “State of the States” report by GLSEN found that only eight states and
the District of Columbia have statewide laws to protect students based on
sexual orientation.

Delaware does not have a safe schools law and was given a failing score on the
report.

But even without a law - which Mr. Bomberg said provides school administrators
with leverage to better protect students, particularly in conservative
communities - schools can adopt safe schools policies.

“A school in which everyone is valued, in which there’s respect, results
clearly in a better academic environment,” Mr. Bomberg said.

Alliances

Mr. Cross said the first step toward fostering safe environments is to train
and educate school personnel.

Implementing gay-straight alliances is another key step, he said, noting he’s
not aware of any active ones Downstate.

GLSEN’s Web site identifies seven registered clubs in Delaware, including ones
at Dover High and Cape Henlopen High.

Mr. Adams said he was not aware of one at Dover and Cape Henlopen spokeswoman
Christine Gillan said the school does not have one.

A 2005 report on legal matters surrounding schools and sexual orientation,
authored by a coalition of educational organizations led by the National School
Boards Association, states that the Equal Access Act protects the right to form
GSAs in schools.

GSAs, which allow students to get together under the guidance of a faculty
member, provide students with peer support and access to an authority figure
who can help them find other resources, Mr. Cross said.

Being a conduit for resources may be one of the greatest responsibilities for
school personnel when dealing with issues surrounding sexual orientation, he
said.

“If the school can’t offer real services - and most of them, I don’t think they
can - at least have their teachers and counselors be aware of other programs,”
Mr. Cross said.

A silent problem

Mr. Cross said administrators may find themselves in a very tough situation
when issues of sexual orientation come to the forefront.

“Because the whole gay issue is such a hot button all over the country, I think
administrators may try to ignore it, because if you bring it out, you start
getting a lot of flak,” he said.

But gay rights advocates say little things - basic sensitivity training for
teachers, a rainbow sticker on a teacher’s door, a gay-straight alliance and
enumerating sexual orientation as a protected group in an anti-discrimination
policy - can go a long way.

“(Schools) just don’t want to bring it up at all and that’s not making anything
better,” Ms. Middlekauf said.

“That’s not making society better when people pretend it’s not a problem.”

EU Approves Ban on ‘Homophobia’; Christians Remain Silent

By Allie Martin

January 27, 2006

(AgapePress) - The European Union has unanimously approved a resolution banning
“homophobia.” A Christian attorney in Mississippi explains why that should
concern the citizens of the United States.

The resolution, called “Homophobia in Europe,” defines homophobia as “an
irrational fear and aversion of homosexuality and of lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender people based on prejudice, similar to racism, xenophobia, anti-
Semitism, sexism.” It calls for action against member states that do not
implement programs directed at fair treatment of homosexuals in employment and
occupation. It also seeks to “ensure that same-sex partners enjoy the same
respect, dignity and protection as the rest of society.”

Steve Crampton, chief counsel for the American Family Association Center for
Law & Policy, says although the resolution is not law, it could eventually
affect the United States.

Steve Crampton
“Our Supreme Court seems enamored with citing to foreign sources of law,”
Crampton observes. And if that mindset continues, he fears that “what happens
in the European Union today is going to become the law and policy of America
tomorrow.”

For that reason, the attorney advises that family advocates in the U.S.
“absolutely … should be concerned about this—and we should be rising up
right now before it’s too late,” he adds.

Crampton asserts that the EU resolution is just further proof that society is
continuing its slide toward moral depravity. “When you consider that [approval
of the measure came] by a vote of almost four-to-one—and it was basically a
restatement of the radical homosexual agenda—there is great cause for
concern for those of us who adhere to the traditional, biblical teachings that
homosexual conduct is sinful,” he says.

The “Homophobia in Europe” resolution was passed by a vote of 468-149; there
were 41 abstentions. Christians and conservatives did not protest the
resolution, prompting one former member of Britain’s Parliament and a
homosexual rights advocate to say that the “lunatic fringe”—Christians and
conservatives—have learned that “it does not pay anymore to shout against
gays and lesbians in the Parliament itself.”

The Patriot Act

Paul A. Ibbetson

The Patriot Act: Searching for Monsters in the Closet

When you were young, did you have a monster in your closet? Many a child has lost sleep to the monster that must certainly reside just inside the bedroom closet. If you think back on your monster, it probably was the end product of watching late night horror movies or creative tales spun with school buddies on sleepovers. Everything is fun and games until the monster actually comes to visit the next night when all your friends are long gone. Now the thing about the closet monster is that it’s crafty and clever. It won’t show itself when friends are around and never in the daylight. No, it waits until your head is turned or, worse, when you’re sound asleep. The closet monster has power, a power that can make you freeze for endless minutes fearing that any slight motion might cause it to burst from the closet, ending in your certain death. Thank goodness a magical thing happens somewhere along life’s path. We grow up. It does not happen all at once but step-by-step we gain perspective about what’s real and what’s not and the monster loses some of its power. Then on some special night this gained knowledge bolsters bravery to the point of a confrontation with the closet door and the monster is exposed for what he really is--nothing.

It would be nice to say that there are no monsters in real life, but that would not be true. As a nation, America has seen monsters in many forms. Adolph Hitler’s Nazi Germany or Hideki Tojo’s Japan are examples. America, though always diverse in thought and ideas, came together in a united effort to defeat those monsters at a time when indecision could have cost the world freedom as we know it. Our country is again at that crossroads. While it is reasonable and logical to draw distinctions from World War II and The War on Terror, there are chilling similarities.

Hitler wanted to eliminate all groups of people not fitting the mold of the master Arian race. Al-Qaeda and other radical Islamic groups have an unholy mission to exterminate Israel and its ally, America, which both fall into the category of “the Zionist unbelievers.” Similarities are evident between the Japanese kamikazes of World War II and the terrorists of today are willing to fly passenger planes into buildings, or strap explosives to their own bodies. Yes, monsters existed in the past and they walk amongst us today.

Hitler walked across Europe, taking country after country, forging deadly alliances and double-crossing all those naïve to his deadly intentions. On December 7, 1941, America was struck with a devastating surprise attack at Pearl Harbor.Al-Qaeda, under the leadership of Osama bin Laden, along with terrorist groups that share this warped mentality, have repeatedly attacked American interests (e.g., 1993 World Trade Center Bombing,1998 U.S.S. Cole Bombing, Embassy Bombings in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania) Osama Bin laden funneled money to terrorist cells around the world for the purpose of Jihad. In 2001, America was struck with a second devastating surprise attack, suffering a death toll that surpassed the number of deaths at Pearl Harbor. At both times in history this country faced a monster that wanted to destroy it.

Unfortunately, America is not responding to today’s monsters the same way America responded in the past. Part of the problem is that many in the country have become terribly confused in what makes up a monster, and what does not. Some civil rights groups portray the Patriot Act as an uncontrollable monster that roams the streets gobbling up people’s rights. This fear maintains, even though after years of usage there have been no documented cases of abuse. In case that slipped by I’ll repeat it, NO CASES OF ABUSES! The Patriot Act has been audited for abuses by many organizations, including the ACLU. In fact, the Patriot Act has served to move national security forward by leaps and bounds by clarifying ambiguous laws, updating outdated laws, and, yes, strengthening some older laws to help in fighting a new type of war. Regardless of the obvious factual basis for the existence and usage of the Patriot Act, groups such as the ACLU maintain a constant search, with torches and pitchforks at the ready, for any reason to slay this law for protecting our national security.

Others have identified the President George W. Bush as the monster for everything from the usage of National Security Letters (NSL’s) to when the wind blows the wrong way. Any attempt to challenge these naysayers with facts is met with the usual accusations that “fruitful debate” is being quashed. Meanwhile time passes and division, indecision, and, worst of all, inaction, is the order of the day.

The failure of the Patriot Act to be renewed after the creation of a compromise package bill is a glaring example of the fact that many Democrats feel the war on terror should be prosecuted in a different manner.

Surpassing the issue of the Patriot Act renewal, Democrats have set a dangerous precedent in time of war by the actions of the “Coalition of Opposition.” Our enemies are coordinated and motivated. Their agenda is clear--destroy America. The impression resulting from an inability of Congress to come together on legislation for fighting terrorism, and the willingness of some to kill the Patriot Act altogether, will be seen by our enemies as a sign of weakness. We know that Hitler advanced on those who appeared weak; we should expect no less from today’s fanatical terrorist groups. Democrats have failed to learn what all children come to terms with, that is, eventually you have to confront the monster.

Getting Ready for Victory...

An Open Letter to Fellow Christians, Conservatives, and Republicans

By

Rob Hood

Recently I wrote a letter of support for the National Rifle Association and the conservative side of the Republican Party:

Dear Fellow Conservatives:

I want to share some important information with you that you may or may not know by now. The first thing concerns this years Senate race across our nation. Many do not view local and state elections as being important like a presidential election but I am here to tell you that not only is it important, but is vital to participate. There are startling rumors in Washington going around that conservative Republicans do not like to hear. The word I a referring to is IMPEACHMENT. It was first brought up by Senator Arlen Spector ( R ). Now others are starting to whisper impeachment of our fairly elected president and commander in chief George W. Bush.

The impeachment talk is over the war in Iraq (pre-intelligence data) and the very controversial NSA Intelligence gatherings or so called spying. To even bring up impeachment of President Bush, there has to be a majority Democrats elected. Right now the subject would just fade away as many other claims of the far left have. We must not let that happen. I urge each and every one of you to go out to the polls in November and vote for someone fair, honest and who will best represent you and what you stand for. For the security of our nation we must keep President Bush in office and away from the threat of impeachment. Right now in Mississippi Senator Trent Lott has announced that he will run once again. He has always been a great asset to Mississippi and feels that he accurately represents most Mississippians and has done a great job in our state in the past. It is important to have men or character in office like Senator Lott to make sure our country in run in the most efficient and secure manner while maintaining moral and ethical standards that we hold dear.

The second thing I want to share with you is also about the 2006 November elections. These same Democrats who wish President Bush gone from office are the same ones who believe in abortion on demand, speak out against Intelligent Design and prayer in schools, lobby for gay marriage, and stand side by side with radical groups like Planned Parenthood, who alone is responsible for over 255,000 abortion in the U.S. alone last year. They also stand with far left groups who somewhat oppose Christian beliefs, traditions, and morals - groups like the ACLU, Moveon.org, and others. These groups have wanted President Bush gone from office the very day he took office after the 2000 election and they will do anything to get rid of him or make him look bad even if it resorts to lying, bribery, and in some cases, even violence.

These are also the same Democrats that when challenged will quote you an amendment from the United States Constitution, but refuse to even listen to the very idea surrounding the Second Amendment.  The National Rifle Association, of which I am a proud member, has announced that it will spend more money in 2006 supporting pro-second amendment candidates than in the last three national elections combined. The NRA has established two different funds. One is the NRA-ILA or the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action and the other is the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. In case you did not know, Presidential nominee John Kerry was ready to sign a treaty proposed by the United Nations called the UN Worldwide Gun ban Treaty which would eventually ban all guns from private citizens in every member nation of the UN. The European Union has a similar deal but is not as powerful as the UN right now. The NRA is working hard to make sure that this treaty only makes it to the garbage can. Our constitution gives us the right as law abiding citizens to bear arms for protection, hunting, or just for sport. Whatever the reason we must maintain that right in the future and the NRA is the group that will make sure of that.

It is imperative that we support our troops, support our President, and VOTE this November. We are a free nation and have the freedom to put our leaders in office by voting. Let’s not take that for granted. I urge you to VOTE in November.

Anyone wanting to support the NRA can do so by the following:

While this was a letter of support of the NRA, it was also a letter to boost morale among fellow conservatives to get them involved in what’s going on in the world. I did manage to mass email this letter and post it on my blog.

I do support the efforts of fellow conservative organization who try to keep things like they have always been instead of changing them to a liberal point of view. I support our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms as a constitutional amendment and do not see a way in which that right can ever be taken away by anyone including the UN.

Not only that, but the UN also does not have the right to tell American Preachers what can be said in the pulpit regarding abortion and homosexuality. Theses are sins and as long as they are done, preachers and congregations will always speak out against them no matter what laws are passed. Jail means nothing to someone willing to stand up for the truth and for what is right. We saw how people were willing to stand up for what was right during the awful and unnecessary events that happened to Terri Schiavo. We saw people speak out no matter the consequences and this case was just the tip of the iceberg compared to what else there is to stand up for in this crooked and immoral world in which we live. Look for a future article by me on Terri Schiavo on her death date in March. I’m sure I won’t be the only one to remember.

We live in a time in which good is evil and evil is good and no one knows the difference. Some say that there is no such thing as good and evil. I say there is. Look around you! Look at the good things being done:

1) Volunteers helping those victims of Hurricane Katrina

2) People giving if their personal time and money to help those who are homeless and hungry.

3) People willing to go to other countries risking their life to share the Gospel message of salvation.

4) People willing to adopt babies who were unwanted and simply “thrown away”.

5) Volunteers willing to join our armed forces to help keep this free and sovereign nation what it was mean to be – free and sovereign.

6) Volunteers at Habitat for Humanity who build houses for those who have no house or cannot afford one.

Now let’s look at evil that’s being done:

1) Churches being infiltrated by false doctrines of “gay marriage” and homosexuality being okay.

2) Abortion being viewed as a “right to choose” instead of being viewed for what it really is – MURDER!

3) Christmas being changed to “Happy Holidays” instead of representing the one for whom Christmas was named, people would rather worship their own idols.

4) Evolution being indoctrinated into the minds of children in school and taught as absolute fact when it is only an unproven theory. Intelligent Design has more evidence behind it than evolution has or ever will.

5) God being take away from the public square and the name of Jesus being banned from public prayers. If someone asks me to say a prayer, I expect to be able to say it freely like I believe it, not like some liberal thinks it should be done to please unbelievers.

Well. There are many things going on today that fifty ears ago would have made most anyone blush with embarrassment. Look at how television has changed since it was invented. Long ago there was no foul language and sexual references and most shows were safe for children to watch because filth and vulgarity was not allowed. Now all we see is filth and vulgarity on television. I don’t have kids, but if I did, I think I’d use my TV for a boat anchor because that’s the only thing it could be good for these days. Even the news is biased against Christian believers these days.

Yes the world is getting worse, but never fear the day of the Lord draweth near. I feel that it may not be that long until the Lord does come back I am looking forward to a day where there will be no sickness, no death, no sin, and all things good will be restored properly for all eternity never to return again. No one knows when He will return, but I am ready. Are you?

State House, Senate pass gay rights bill

By Andrew Garber
mailto:agarber@seattletimes.com
Seattle Times staff reporter

OLYMPIA - For the first time in state history, the Senate and the House passed
a gays rights bill today.

Gov. Christine Gregoire says she’ll sign the legislation, but some lawmakers
were anticipating a possible referendum to ask voters to overturn the law.

The Senate passed the bill 25-23. The House passed the measure 61-37 a short
time thereafter.

“I’m very happy. You know this is about so many people who worked so hard for
so long,” said Rep. Ed Murray, D-Seattle, who has sponsored for the gay rights
bill for the past several years.

House Bill 2661, which has been around in some form for almost 30 years, passed
on a largely partisan vote. Two conservative Democratic senators, Jim Hargrove
of Hoquiam and Tim Sheldon of Potlatch, Mason County, sided with Republicans.
GOP Sen. Bill Finkbeiner, R-Kirkland joined Democrats. He was the only
Republican supporting the measure.

The Senate vote came after an emotional debate lasting more than an hour.

Opponents warned the legislation was unneeded, would lead to gay marriage and
force people to hire gays and lesbians against their religious beliefs.

“This is a very sad day for the state of Washington,” said Sen. Val Stevens, R-
Arlington. “We all know it’s going to pass.”

Sen. Bob Oke, R-Port Orchard, argued the legislation would endorse
homosexuality. “I believe homosexuality is morally wrong,” he said, contending
that the Bible views it as “an abomination.”

Supporters said the bill is needed to protect gays and lesbians from
discrimination. State law bans discrimination based on race, sex, religion,
marital status, disability and other categories. The bill would add sexual
orientation to that list.

“It’s not special privileges. It’s merely saying treat me the same,” said Sen.
Rosa Franklin, D-Tacoma. “It’s extending rights to a group that has been
treated very badly”

Sen. Finkbeiner also spoke in favor of the bill. “What the debate is about …
is whether it’s OK to be gay or lesbian in the state,” he said. “People don’t
choose this. People don’t chose who they love. The heart chooses.”

Democrats have been saying for several months that they expected the measure to
pass this session. Their confidence seemed to grow with each passing week.
There was spontaneous applause in the observation galleries after the bill
passed.

Sen. Mark Schoesler, R-Ritzville, said opponents weren’t likely to give up
their fight.

“Emotions run high, and I think it’s very realistic that there will be a
referendum,” he said. For his part, Murray was savoring the victory. But he
also acknowledged the possibility of gay rights going before voters.

“It’s a moment of joy,” he said. “I realize there are people who disagree with
us. I just hope, before they reach for a pen to sign an initiative they’ll
reach for the phone and call somebody who’s gay or lesbian and talk to them
first.”

What does the future hold?

Israel, Iran, Hamas, Russia, and a Very Good Author

By

Rob Hood

In the last few days we have seen a historic election that none of us could have ever predicted. We saw HAMAS, a group of individuals who in some ways strive to help fellow Palestinians who are in need of medical care and are hungry. In other ways they strive and vow to destroy Israel.

So, are they a good group who just wants what is best for their people, or another terrorist ally of the PLO and Al Queda? In terms of world peace relations, these people are labeled by most conservatives as a threat to Israel and possibly the United States.

Iran certainly is a threat. The whole country of Iran is not our enemy. About half of the country is actually more of our ally than enemy. About 51% are the traditional fundamentalists who use violent means of suicide bombings and kidnappings to gain power and get their message out. Lately there has been an underground movement in Iran by the youth of that country. These youth may be the key to a peaceful means of replacing the dictator with a President and freely elected government that is not in cahoots with international terrorists. These youth do not like the current government and want freedom like Americans. It is these young people that will ultimately help us to defeat the terrorists by casting them out of power through a ballot box instead of a box of bombs.

Russia has been talking with Iran, but I sincerely do not personally trust the Russians when talking to Iran or anyone in the Middle East. The Russians have shown hostility to Israel in the past and certainly cannot help matters.

A very popular author by the name of Grant R. Jeffrey ( www.grantjeffrey.com ) has written numerous books about the prophecies of Revelations. His one book called War on Terror: Unfolding Biblical Prophecy tell how Russia’s strategic goal is to turn the coalition forces against Israel and how the current situation of events was foretold by the prophet Jeremiah over 2,500 years ago. As a matter of fact, Mr. Jeffrey has an entire chapter on how UN resolutions are allowing Russia to form an alliance with Arab states against Israel. Plans of a permanent UN Army is in the works and it frankly scares me.

Much of the things that we face can be traced through Biblical lineage. The Taliban that we cleansed from Afghanistan were thought to be descendents from the Pashtun tribe and the Ten Lost tribes of Israel.

If we really think about it for a minute, Israel and Palestine are half brothers. Remember Abraham? Read the story of Abraham and how he had a son with his maidservant instead of his wife as God promised. This son is the direct father of Islam. His half brother Isaac was responsible for Israel. This is why Christians, Jews, and Muslims all refer to Abraham as the father of their religion.

Will there ever be peace in the Middle East? Sure there will be. However, no nation or government leader will ever bring about this process. Only the return of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ himself will be able to restore his people Israel and the rest of the world to the way it was meant to be before the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden.

Eminent Domain / Mission America Message...

Eminent Domain. Peace for Neubert Purser?

by Nathan Tabor

Imagine for a moment that you have just saved up enough money to purchase some land and a home of your own. This land and the house aren’t in the best shape, but you know with hard work and years of effort you can make it into something beautiful.

You spend the next twenty, thirty, forty years doing just that. Your land and your home are now admired by others, and you feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in life, having made something out of nothing. This is the American Dream, is it not? To live out your years on the land you have come to love - to grow old on the land you have cultivated and worked on all of your life.

What part of the American Dream allows the government to come and steal your land away from you?

That part would be something called Eminent Domain, which effectively allows the government to ‘condemn’ your land and take it from you and this can include your home as well. All states have variations of Eminent Domain laws on the books, though some use it only in emergency or specific situations. The law was created with the intention of buying land for roadways, etc. Yet the intention is now being abused by what officials are calling a ‘wider interpretation of the law’. Apparently, some states feel they can take your land for anything that might be used by the public. There is a huge difference between acquiring land for a roadway and forcing someone to give up his or her land for a town park. The state will compensate you, but usually at only a fraction of what the property is valued. Not only does the landowner lose land, he loses money as well.

Please pass on to anyone in Illinois, especially pastors!!

Dear Illinois Pastor,

Late last year, the Illinois Family Institute (www.illinoisfamily.org) launched
a petition drive campaign for a Marriage Protection Advisory Referendum. The
referendum calls upon the Illinois General Assembly to pass a Marriage
Protection Amendment permanently defining marriage as one-man, one-woman. The
immediate goal is to collect 500,000 signatures of registered voters by April
20, 2006. (The actual number is 283,000 but we must far exceed that to
compensate for thrown-out signatures.)

Protect Marriage Illinois is the group that has been organized to achieve this
daunting goal. A big part of this effort must come from local churches.
Moody, Salem Baptist, All Nations Community, Wheaton Bible, and Arlington
Heights EV Free are just some of the better known local churches that are
getting involved.

The majority of the signatures will come from Bible-believing Christians who
understand that “same-sex marriage” is a perversion of the Truth that marriage
is a representation of Jesus Christ and His bride, the Church. The
relationship of a husband and wife is seen as a human expression of the
intimate relationship human beings are to have with God. “This is a profound
mystery -– but I am talking about Christ and the church.” (Eph.5:32).

Christians cannot sit back while liberal forces seek to twist and destroy this
image. Marriage is designed by God, and can only be defined as a union between
one man and one woman. The church’s role in defending this institution is
clear.

We need you and your church’s assistance to gather signatures. “Many hands
make light work” is certainly true in this case. While there are scores of
good men and women working to meet this challenge, we need many more if we are
to succeed. My personal goal is to get 3,000 Illinois churches involved (from
a statewide total of 15,000), gathering an average of 200 signatures each. If
and when we accomplish that, Lord willing, we will exceed our goal of 500,000
signatures.

At the web site,http://www.protectmarriageillinois.org/ , you will find some background information on Protect Marriage Illinois and our general strategy to get a Marriage Protection Referendum on the ballot. We hope and pray that you and your church will get involved in this historic effort. If you have any questions, comments, or want to know how your church can get involved, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you for taking a stand for marriage! I am,

Sincerely,

David E. Smith, Project Director

SEX Ed Uproar in Massachusetts...
From Article 8, www.article8.org

1. Outrage rising over [Massachusetts state]bill #1641 which would REQUIRE
sexuality/homosexuality studies K-12 in schools. Public hearing next Tuesday!
(Here’s what you should do. . .) ===

As next Tuesday’s public hearing in the Education Committee at the State House
(Jan. 31, 1:00 pm, Room B-2) gets closer, the public outrage over Bill H1641 is
getting the attention of the media. This bill would mandate a spectrum of broad
sexuality and homosexuality study over the K-12 grades as a requirement for
graduation. If this bill becomes law, it would directly challenge the existing
parental rights law which allows parents to opt their children out.

Strangely, the long list of co-sponsors includes some supposed “pro-family”
politicians. But parents across the state are up in arms..…

From the Boston Herald

Some kids uneasy about proposal
By Dawn Witlin and Kimberly Atkins
Tuesday, January 24, 2006 - Updated: 12:23 AM EST

A proposed state law that would make health education — including sex
education — a required subject in public schools drew mixed reviews from the
very group it’s intended to help: students.

“Some kids will think it’s OK to have sex if the school is teaching it,”
said 16-year-old Gaby Zata, a 10th-grader at Social Justice Academy in Hyde
Park. “There’d be too many girls with carriages. I think kids, some of them,
are stupid in general about sex.”

But 15-year-old Kaleigh Shea of Charlestown, in 10th grade at South Boston
High School, said, “I think they should have sex education because a lot of
girls sleep with people and they don’t even know what diseases they can get and
all the consequences.”

The proposed statewide curriculum prescribes different lessons for students
of different ages.

Students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade would learn about body
parts and functions and changes during puberty.

Middle-schoolers would hear about the benefits of abstinence, and
postponing and setting limits on sexual behavior.

They also would be told about methods for pregnancy prevention, including
abstinence. Lessons would cover sexually transmitted diseases.

In high school, classes would discuss the effectiveness and consequences of
various pregnancy-prevention and disease-prevention methods.

Johnny Molina, 17, a senior at Everett High School, said sex education
would distract him from other classes he deems more important.

“School is for learning about history and things that you need in life,” he
said. Sex ed “is taking time out of school for something you can learn from a
doctor.”

And Now--the Rest of the Story....

http://www.article8.org/docs/issues/bill_1641/background.htm

Background on bill #1641 - and what you can do
This is a dangerous bill that would force a broad range of sexuality and
homosexuality subjects on kids as a requirement for graduation from
Massachusetts public schools. The public hearing is on Tuesday, Jan. 31., at
the State House (see details below).

1. Why it got here.
2, What it says
3. Who’s behind it
4. What you can do

1. Why it got here.
Originally, “health” was part of the required curriculum. But back in 1998 we
got the State Board of Education to remove it. Now the sex-ed lobby wants to
do an end-run around the (relatively sane) Board of Education—where this
decision would normally reside—and ram this through the (more gay-friendly)
Legislature. They must be stopped.

Here’s how that happened: Bill #1641 - undoing the work we did back in 1998 to
REMOVE it from the required curriculum!

2. What it says.
The language of the bill is deceptively simple. It adds another requirement for
graduation from Massachusetts public schools:

Section 1D of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official
Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “foreign language,” in
line 6, the words:— health education, as defined by the Massachusetts
Comprehensive Health Education Framework.

Sounds innocuous enough—until you look under the hood. The Massachusetts
Comprehensive Health Curriculum Frameworks is a 111-page document that covers a
wide range of “health” topics (including, for example, health of the
environment!) and appears to be written by the usual far-left academic we-know-
better-than-you crowd.

Here are just a few of the highlights. Think of who is teaching your children,
what that person’s training is and political motivations, and who makes the
decisions about values:

By the end of grade 5:

* Define sexual orientation using the correct terminology (such as
heterosexual, and gay and lesbian)

[In other words, the normalization of homosexuality starts young.]

* Describe different types of families, addressing membership and social
influences, and the functions of family members.

[This is where same-sex families are equated with normal families. The
“functions” of family members is about breaking down male-female roles in
families. THIS is why David Parker was arrested!]

* Identify whom to talk with about family problems and successes.

[This is about telling kids to go to people other than their parents with
problems.]

By the end of grade 8:

* Describe behaviors and methods for pregnancy prevention, including abstinence.

[Abstinence is thus just “another” technique for preventing pregnancy. Kids are
introduced to the whole range of contraceptive devices and methods. They are
told that they need to make a healthy “choice” that’s right for them!]

* Identify sexual discrimination and harassment - students use current events
or media portrayal to discuss the consequences of discrimination based on
sexual orientation.

[This equates homosexuality with the Civil Rights movement, and reinforces
homosexual behavior as a legitimate part of life.]

By the end of grade 12:

* Explain confidentiality laws and individuals’ rights to seek medical
treatment.

[This is about bypassing parents and going to “health” services, such as
Planned Parenthood, for things like abortions or AIDS tests which parents will
thus not know about. Thus, another adult is making medical decisions for your
kids.]

* Identify possible determinants of sexual orientation and analyze the weight
of each in light of available research.

[More propaganda. Pushing homosexuality as in-born and genetic.]

*Describe the effectiveness and consequences of various pregnancy, HIV, and STI
prevention methods, including abstinence.

[Again, introducing the wide range of sexual contraception methods, with their
own spin on them. Abstinence is just one of many. Particularly dangerous is
introducing high-risk methods (such as condoms) to kids.]

* Identify resources available for treatment of reproductive health problems.

[This usually includes homosexual activist groups and Planned Parenthood, as
well as other sources most parents would prefer their kids not be involved
with. I.e., where kids can go to get their contraceptives and abortions, so
parents won’t know.]

* Describe the influence of gender on identity and self-concept - Students have
a class discussion on the influence of group stereotypes about gender roles on
identity and self-concept.

[More propaganda about breaking down traditional male / female “gender” roles
in the minds of kids, despite how parents might feel about that. This also
easily leads into the concept of “transgenderism” and cross-dressing, etc.]

Also in the frameworks are references to AIDS education, which invariably
involve politically correct “facts” which do not instill in kids the truth
about how AIDS is principally caused (homosexual behavior and drug use) and
that by avoiding these our society could drastically cut down the incidence of
AIDS.

A few of their “Resources for Health Education”:

- “Gay Straight Alliances” Guide, published by the Mass. DOE.

- “A Staff Development Manual for Anti-Homophobia Education in the Secondary
School”, by the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

- Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). (A
leading advocate for abortion and childhood sexual freedom.)

- “Guidelines for Comprehensive Sexuality Education: Kindergarten-12th grade” -
published by SIECUS.

How would it affect the parental notification law?
This is clearly their answer to the current opt-out law and the proposed opt-in
law. It appears to put parents in a bind: if you take your child out, and
flunks “health” as a result, he possibly cannot graduate. And the pressure from
both teachers and other kids will now be on the child like never before.

3. Who’s behind it.
Take a look at the bill and it’s co-sponsors on the state website. Led by
Alice Wolf, it has 36 co-sponsors! Most of them are a who’s-who of the pro-
homosexual / Planned Parenthood / Teachers Union lobby in the State House.
They’re certainly not people who generally think that parents know better than
left-wing bureaucrats about what’s best for their kids.

But what’s really disturbing are the alleged “pro-family” reps also on this
list: Mark Carron and Richard Moore, for instance. We’ll need to get to the
bottom of that. Obviously, there’s some heavy lobbying going on. [NOTE: Rep.
Paul Loscocco is listed as a co-sponsor, but his office has informed us that’s
a mistake; he’s definitely not in favor of H1641.]

This bill clearly has the fingerprints of Planned Parenthood and the rest of
the sex lobby on it. And they’re the ones who get quoted in the paper
supporting it.

4. What you can do.
You can bet your life that Planned Parenthood and the gay lobby will be up and
down those State House halls, and at the Public Hearing. There’s more of us
than there are of them. But the reps won’t know if unless you make your voice
heard.

How to testify. If you can go to the public hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 31:
If you can make it, it’s very important for people to come and give personal
testimony. So many of these politicians are so disconnected from regular
people that it’s good for them to see and hear real people. They see and hear
the gay lobby every day. Now is your turn!

It’s at the State House at 1:00 pm in room B-2. It’s a good idea to get there
at least 15 minutes early. The best place to park is the Boston Common
underground garage; it’s (relatively) cheap and there’s lots of room. Room B-2
is one of their regular hearing rooms. It’s in the basement and a bit confusing
to find, but once you’re in the State House just ask someone. But if a lot of
people come, it’s possible they may move it to a larger room at the last
minute.

As soon as you get there, sign the sheet for bill #1641. They are hearing
testimony for a lot of bills in that session, so it’s possible that you may
have to wait quite a while to speak. It could be a few hours or more, or it
could be very quick. Unless they move it, it will be a packed room!

Be prepared to speak for no longer than 3 minutes. You can really say a lot in
that amount of time. Don’t be afraid to be blunt, or direct with them. They
need to know this is important, not trivial Speak in a style you’re
comfortable with. But they don’t like you to just read a script; it’s better to
talk with notes. It’s also a good idea to bring a written copy of something to
give them for their records. (If you do that, be sure and get a copy to us
also!)

Also—you’ll hear a lot of pure nonsense, twisted facts, and scare tactics
from the Planned Parenthood lobby and their allies, and homosexual activists
testifying. That’s why it’s so necessary that YOU be there!

ALSO: Contact the Education Committee and your own Rep and Senator.
Here is the List of the Education Committee. We’ll be honest: this Education
Committee is pretty left-wing, although in general not hard-core. That’s why
they need to hear from you. Experience has shown a few people won’t phase them
much, but they’ll often bow to pressure from a lot of regular people. We’ve
seen it before. Call them, write them, email them, or even visit them. It any
of them are your own rep or senator, make sure they know that, and try to talk
to them personally (of course, they’ll want to pawn you off on an aide.)

Tell them that you absolutely, positively do not want H1641 to be sent to the
sent to the full Legislature. Tell them how you are outraged that these
mandates on homosexuality and sexuality are being pushed on kids and parents,
and you won’t stand for it. And it takes away the rights of parents, and makes
life miserable for kids who don’t want it.

Don’t be intimidated by arrogant staff who want to brush you off. You pay their
salary.

Contact your own Rep and Senator.
If your own rep and senator aren’t on the Education Committee, make sure you
call, email, or visit them and let them know you don’t want H1641 to become
law. A visit or personal phone call is particularly good, but a letter makes a
difference also. Let them know you’re a constituent and want an answer.

The Great Prayer...

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

“Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Amen!”

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.

The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, “The Rest of the Story,” and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called “one nation under God.”

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends. “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for everything.”

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world.

How many people in your address book will not receive this prayer.....do you have the guts to pass it on?

Great Comments...

These are the comments of a forum member on The Conservative Voice:

As for Dinosaurs on the ark, I point you to this article by Ken Ham

Although there are about 668 names of dinosaurs, there are perhaps only 55 different ‘kinds’ of dinosaurs. Furthermore, not all dinosaurs were huge like the Brachiosaurus, and even those dinosaurs on the Ark were probably ‘teenagers’ or young adults.

Creationist researcher John Woodmorappe has calculated that Noah had on board with him representatives from about 8,000 animal genera (including some now-extinct animals), or around 16,000 individual animals. When you realize that horses, zebras, and donkeys are probably descended from the horse-like ‘kind’, Noah did not have to carry two sets of each such animal. Also, dogs, wolves, and coyotes are probably from a single canine ‘kind’, so hundreds of different dogs were not needed.

According to Genesis 6:15, the Ark measured 300 x 50 x 30 cubits, which is about 460 x 75 x 44 feet, with a volume of about 1.52 million cubic feet. Researchers have shown that this is the equivalent volume of 522 standard railroad stock cars (US), each of which can hold 240 sheep. By the way, only 11% of all land animals are larger than a sheep.

Without getting into all the math, the 16,000-plus animals would have occupied much less than half the space in the Ark (even allowing them some moving-around space).

here’s a thought...

Do evolution and homosexuality cancel each other out?

After all, evolution says that only the fittest survive and reproduce… but homosexuals cannot reproduce. If they are, in fact, born with “homosexual genes” wouldn’t they have gone extinct?

Truth is, we are all born with a capacity to behave homosexual...because we are all born with sin… because it is a lifestyle choice of sin.

my point is that we are born heterosexual...we have either male parts or female parts...it is like that for a reason...to claim to be born opposite of how our bodies naturally function is ridiculous!

Ann Lamont writes:
“Made that way?
Since other groups who have been discriminated against (such as women, blacks and the disabled) have been given equal opportunity, homosexuals claim that they, too, should be liberated. However, Pastor Andrew Lansdown, a member of the Baptist Union of Western Australia (BUWA) Task Force on Human Sexuality, states that ‘Gender, race and impairment all relate to what a person is, whereas homosexuality relates to what a person does.’1 In contrast, homosexuals claim that scientific studies have shown that there is a biological basis for homosexuality.

Three main studies are cited by ‘gay rights’ activists in support of their argument2—Hamer’s X-chromosome research,3 LeVay’s study of the hypothalamus,4 and Bailey and Pillard’s study of identical twins who were homosexuals.5 In all three cases, the researchers had a vested interest in obtaining a certain outcome because they were homosexuals themselves. More importantly, their studies did not stand up to scientific scrutiny by other researchers. Also, ‘the media typically do not explain the methodological flaws in these studies, and they typically oversimplify the results’.6 There is no reliable evidence to date that homosexual behaviour is determined by a person’s genes.

To the extent that biological or social factors may contribute to a person’s bent toward homosexual behaviour, this does not excuse it. Some people have a strong bent towards stealing or abuse of alcohol, but they still choose to engage or not engage in this behaviour—the law rightly holds them accountable.”

Rob Hood's Latest...

Rob Hood’s Top Picks for ‘06

January 26, 2006 09:09 AM EST

Well we are at election year again and we see campaigns all over the place, but just who can we elect to office that best represents the interests of the American people? The American people want someone who will stand strong in the face of terrorism and our national security. They want someone who will stand against violent crimes, illegal drugs, and illegal immigration and will let those responsible know that it will not be tolerated.

Another thing that the American people look at when choosing a candidate to support is someone with strong moral and ethical values that stands for what is right and denounces what is wrong no matter the opposition.

I realize that many organizations and even websites cannot endorse candidates because of their non-profit status and for other reasons, but from time to time we will see someone try to help out our fellow American candidates and will lend them a hand in getting the message across in a way that is both honest and fair to everyone. I am putting together a list of candidates that I personally back and just want others out there to know about these great leaders.

Paul Bucher is running for Attorney general in Wisconsin.
He stands up for moral values and is a pro-life supporter.
He actively backs the Second Amendment right to bear arms and backs the Right to Carry law in his own state.
He also stands strong on violent crime, drugs, cyber crime, drunk driving, election fraud, and domestic violence.
His site is www.paulbucher.com .

Howard Kaloogian is running for Congress in California.
He stands strong on illegal immigration, and the war on terror.
He stands with our troops in Combat in Iraq and Afghanistan and has visited them recently.
He too stands for our Second Amendment right and is a pro-life supporter.
He has been endorsed by Gun owners of America, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Concerned Women for America, The American Conservative Union, the National Rifle Association, International Right to Life, and many others on a long list.
His site is www.kaloogianforcongress.com

Nathan Tabor is a great young candidate for Senate in North Carolina.
He is known for his own articles and commentary on many conservative news/commentary sites including his own The Conservative Voice.
He wants to stop illegal immigration, create jobs, balance the budget, and improve education.
He also stands strong on pro-life issues as well as standing for traditional marriage.
He, too, is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
His site is www.taborforsenate.com
Expect an interview between Nathan Tabor and I in the near future.

Trent Lott is well know around the country is once again running for U.S. Senate.
I think that we all know that Mr. Lott is a conservative who stands strong and proud on moral values that Mississippians as well as other Americans hold dear.
He also stands his ground on pro-life issues and the Second Amendment as well as creating jobs in Mississippi and has announced his run for Senate based on his desire to continue to help those on the Mississippi Gulf Coast who were victims of Hurricane Katrina.
His site is www.lott.senate.gov .

These are only a handful of great leaders who are willing to serve you in public office. We owe it to ourselves to get out and vote for the best person that best represents what we stand for and what we believe in as a person and what would best benefit America and our future generations. While I named these four, there are many to support out there. These are my very own personal picks of the litter and I’ll let you be the judge of who best represents you. We have many to choose from in 2006 and may the best man or woman win!

Rob Hood grew up in rural Mississippi and was rooted in the doctrine of the Southern Baptist Convention and its teachings of Biblical right and wrong, accountability to a higher authority, and the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was a participant in Bible Drill for nine years, a Southern Baptist Convention program devoted to educating children and youth with scriptures from the Bible for use in everyday life situations. He graduated from Holmes Community College in Grenada, Mississippi with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electronics Technology and is currently employed as an Electronics Technician with HAM radio equipment manufacturer. He is also a Federal Communications Commission licensed Technician Class HAM radio operator and lives in North Mississippi.

Mr. Hood is also the author of Issues That Matter : America’s Moral Battleground and a columnist for five of the news/commentary sites of the Move Off Network at www.moveoff.net ) in addition to writing for The Kentucky Conservative and running his own site and his own blog.

The UN Attack on America Gun Owners

January 25, 2006 09:49 PM EST

We all know how the UN is planning a full scale war on the American right to own and bear arms and just how angry some UN delegates are at the United States for upholding this right.
To start with I want to quote a few UN delegates in their war on American sovereignty:

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said “A program of small arms action is a beginning, not an end in itself. Implementation will be the true test.”

A Japanese delegate to the UN said “We strictly punish and control possession of small arms by civilians.”

An Australian delegate to the UN said” Firearm owners in Australia must also demonstrate a genuine reason for ownership.”

A Netherlands delegate to the UN said “It is my firm belief that the illicit trade cannot be tackled without involving the legal arms trade.”

IANSA’s Rebecca Peters said “We wan to see a drastic reduction in gun ownership across the world.”

With all of this in mind we know that the UN wants to ban firearms from civilians and they want to impose this radical idea on the United States. We must thank President Bush for his superb nomination of John Bolton because it was Mr. Bolton that stood up to the bullies of the ever corrupt United Nations.

John Bolton made it very clear that the United States is a sovereign nation and had its own constitution to follow and therefore did not follow the whims of the UN. He is what he had to say: “The United States will not join consensus on a final document that contains measures contrary to our constitutional Right to keep and bear arms.”

I personally want to thank Mr. Bolton for taking a stand for our values and for our constitution even under heavy fire from the far left. I also want to thank President Bush picking Mr. Bolton for the job. He could not have picked a better man for the job. We needed someone who is strong and will stand up for our nation on key issues like this.

The United Nations have no right to tell any citizen of the United States that they cannot own guns, they cannot discipline their children, and they have to accept abortion and gay marriage. The UN is getting their noses in more business than what they were designed to do. They have gained way too much authority and absolutely too much power and have let it go to their heads. They think they can just tell anyone what to do and it be obeyed without question.

Well, first of all, this ole boy bows to no one but God. I will not bow down and worship the altar of the UN and neither should you. I say it’s high time to bring a delegation forward that will vote to bring the UN’s ego down a few notches. Take some of that money away from them and they want be such a thorn in the side of U.S. policy and rights. Frankly I don’t care what they do in their own counties. For all I care they can even ban water guns and dance around a campfire naked and sing Yankee Doodle, but they will NOT bring that garbage to my country. They can leave their anti-everything policies in their own countries because we as FREE AMERICANS refuse to listen to it. And even more, refuse to bow down to it.

At no time will I give up my Second Amendment rights to some foreign government that will probably stab me in the back the minute I hand them my gun. For any law abiding citizen who owns a firearm, this should be a wake-up call. We must continue to put leaders in office that will stand strong against policies like this and 2006 is the time to do it. I encourage you to take a stand with Mr. Bolton and back up your rights to own a firearm by letting liberal politicians and delegates know that you will put them out of office in November if they so much as hint to follow a UN gun ban policy. We simply cannot afford to be controlled by a foreign government. I refuse to give up my rights and so should you!

The Whole Story...

The Full Story: John Adams, John Jay, and the 1783 Treaty of Paris

By Thomas E. Brewton

The following commentary provides background details to make clearer the point of the posting titled John Adams and John Jay.

-------------------
A skilled lawyer by profession, John Jay looked upon the United States as his
client, for whom he was determined to get the best possible deal, consistent
with moral rectitude, in the 1783 treaty that ended the war with England.  His
actions are a good example of the proper way to conduct foreign policy.

As I noted in Misunderstanding Alliances, basing our foreign policy upon a theoretical ‘community of nations’ and assuming that the aim is to make other nations our friends is suicidal folly.  It’s fine to deal justly with everyone, but the first necessity of foreign policy is to understand clearly what our national interests are.  The second necessity is to take the required actions to protect those interests.

Had the socialist internationalism underlying today’s UN been operative in
1783, Jay’s decisive and effective action would have been impossible.
Politicians and the media would have clobbered him for alienating French and
Spanish public opinion.

The following commentary is by my wife, Judy Brewton, who is a national-award-
winning writer and producer of historical videos.  One of her current projects
is working with the John Jay Homestead in Katonah, NY, to produce a video about
Mr. Jay’s manifold contributions to the United States and to the state of New
York.

I must point out that my wife does not share all of my political views, so she
is not to be blamed for my opinions about foreign policy stated above.

*********

Judy Brewton’s background notes regarding the 1783 Treaty of Paris:

In 1781 while in Spain seeking financial help in the war, John Jay had been
asked by the Continental Congress to serve in Paris as one of five delegates
seeking a peace treaty between America, France, Spain and Britain. ÊIt was
specified that, in these negotiations, any agreements on America’s behalf must
be approved by the Count Vergennes, the French foreign minister.

Jay wrote back to Congress that he could not serve on those terms. ÊWhile in
Spain he had come to realize that neither France nor Spain was fully committed
to the fact of American independence; rather both saw America’s allegiance as a
powerful bargaining chip in negotiations with England—one that could
certainly be bargained away if it should come to seem profitable. ÊÊ

Congress never replied to Jay’s refusal to serve in Paris, but soon Franklin
began to write imploring him to come. Ê(The other three negotiators had not
come; Henry Laurens had been captured and imprisoned in the Tower of London;
Thomas Jefferson never intended to come; and John Adams was in the Netherlands
negotiating for a loan.) ÊJay set sail.

From the moment he arrived in Paris, Jay found himself at odds with Franklin,
who could not be persuaded that France might not take good care of America and
her interests. (And who, even more alarmingly, did not find it important for
Britain to formally acknowledge America’s independence!) Ê

Franklin, however soon fell ill. ÊJay, learning of secret communications with
England by the Spaniards and the French, used a contact of his own to send a
message to the English Prime Minister, saying, essentially “make no agreements
until I arrive.” ÊWithout Franklin’s knowledge, he hurried to England, where he
successfully sold the English on the greater economic advantage of a separate
treaty with America—something the British much preferred, but had been
unable to achieve as long as America remained politically tethered to France.
ÊThis has been described as the riskiest action of Jay’s career, since it
directly disobeyed the Congress’ strict instruction to enter into no agreement
or negotiation without French approval.

Returning to Paris Jay then worked furiously with the British envoy in drawing
up a provisional treaty. ÊAdams, who had always been of a mind with Jay,
arrived in Paris the following month, where he and Jay worked together to
polish the terms.

Franklin knew nothing of Jay’s trip to England until it was over, and the
provisional agreement underway. ÊHe was unhappy about it at first, but soon
came around. Ê(Explaining things to the French must have been unpleasant,
though.)

John Adams, April, 1783 (to Abigail, his wife):
“Mr. Jay has been my only Consolation. ÊIn him I have found a Friend to his
Country, without Alloy. ÊI shall never forget him, nor cease to love him, while
I live.”

Arthur Lee on July 23, 1783 (speaking of Jay to the Earl of Shelburne):
“America owes immortal gratitude to that gentleman’s firmness, spirit and
integrity.”

“Truthiness” and Secular Education

By Thomas E. Brewton

The “truthiness” of secular education is the common link among Michael Moore,
Teddy Kennedy, Jack Abramoff, and the parade of literary fraud in periodicals
and books.

-------------------
“Truthiness,” selected by the American Dialectic Society as its 16th annual
Word of the Year, is defined as “the quality of preferring concepts or facts
one wishes to be true, rather than concepts or facts known to be true.”
Truthiness is the quality to which PC and multi-cultural education aspire.

Our secular schools, from kindergarten to college, teach the atheistic
philosophy of pragmatism.  It is to be expected that people will govern their
actions by the maxim they are taught, that the end justifies the means.

Truthiness is thus a synonym for liberal-progressivism, the American sect of
the world religion of atheistic socialism, which rejects all standards of fixed
morality and embraces instead the belief that the political state will shape
social classes into perfection via regulation.  Individuals are relieved from
responsibility for their actions and left free to pursue hedonistic license,
sensual gratification, by whatever means they can get away with.

Only a God-fearing society educates each individual to the standard of eternal
Truth.  Only a God-fearing society leads individuals to strive, voluntarily and
joyously, to do the right thing, to treat each of their fellows justly and
kindly.

From a philosophical viewpoint, truthiness arises from socialism’s inversion of
the Judeo-Christian formulation of God’s message to Moses from the burning bush
that was not consumed by the flames: “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14).

Within the limited capacities of human intelligence to comprehend the ultimate
nature of existence, the Judeo-Christian understanding is that, for God alone,
existence precedes essence.  That means that God’s nature or characteristics
did not exist prior to God, but that, for God alone, His act of existing
determines His characteristics and the nature of all of His cosmological
creation, including human beings.  There is thus no escape from the eternal
truth that humans have a God-given nature and that the purpose of mankind is to
be as true as possible, given human free will, to that nature.

The truthiness of atheistic and materialistic socialism turns that upon its
head and declares that the mind of the intellectual has the power to control
and to determine the characteristics of all it surveys.  Thus truth is whatever
the intellectual mind decides, at any given moment, it ought to be (as in
judicial activism).

In a society governed by the truthiness of atheistic socialism, there is no
virtuous conduct, merely doing whatever one can get away with or being
compelled by regulation to do whatever the intellectuals decree.  Individual
morality, doing the right thing, is a meaningless concept.

Truthiness is not really new, of course.  It has always been with us as an
aspect of human free will.  The essential feature of a God-fearing society is
conscious rejection of truthiness, which the Bible calls repentance of sin, a
turning toward the righteous conduct that flows from God’s love.

Truthiness led corporate executives in Enron to present financial statements
that proved to be somewhat closer to fiction than reality.

Truthiness leads Oprah to rationalize her selection of James Frey’s “A Million
Little Pieces,” now revealed as fiction rather than biography.  According to
liberal columnist Clarence Page, she said on CNN’s “Larry King Live” that “even
if some of its facts are false, its truths are too compelling to be
ignored.”

Truthiness leads the New York Times and the Washington Post to encourage its
reporters to ‘discover’ evidence to support the liberal-progressive dogma of
social justice, to present fiction as ‘news’ that appears to validate the
socialistic belief that all of life’s ills arise from unequal distribution of
purely material goods.

Truthiness leads liberal-progressives to revere liars as their exemplars of
correct secular conduct.

Liberal-progressives adore Michael Moore’s ‘documentaries,’ evidently because
their desire to destroy President Bush is more important than truthful
presentation of fact.

Liberal-progressives adore Senator Edward Kennedy, a man who was expelled from
Harvard for cheating, a man who valued his political career above the live of a
young woman.

Liberal-progressives adore Senator John Kerry, a man who launched his political
career on false testimony in a Congressional committee hearing in the Vietnam
War era.

Too many politicians on both sides of the aisle take payoffs from the Jack
Abramoffs of the lobbyists’ world, secure in the socialist credo that
individual conduct doesn’t count in a society shaped and controlled by
socialistic regulation.

It’s too easy to rationalize trading political power for personal gain in a
society in which Baby Boomers can indulge freely in sexual promiscuity, marital
infidelity, drug abuse, and self-dealing corruption, secure in the truthiness
both that the political state owes them a good life, and that the political
state is the only source of good.

All of the kings horses and all of the kings men can’t build enough commissions
and enough regulations to put society back together again.  Only repentance, a
turn away from secular materialism, a turn back to God-fearing personal
morality can do that.

So long as we continue to follow the socialistic, atheistic, and materialistic
lead of the ACLU and ban all morality from classrooms, our nation is rocketing
on the path to oblivion.

Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade

By Nathan Tabor

This past Sunday marked the anniversary of the fateful Roe vs. Wade decision, allowing women the supposed right to terminate pregnancies at their own will.  Feminists see this as a sacred right for a woman to choose whether or not to bear children, and forcefully contest any possible change to the current status of this law.  They want you to believe that there is no value to life inside the womb, that it can be ended without consequence.  Yet we know this can’t be true.  The Roe vs. Wade decision is a stab to the heart of society, inflicting emotional and tragic pain and suffering to all parties involved.

Women need to understand that the life inside of them is not a choice; it is a life, in need of a chance to grow and thrive.  No one has the right to deliberately take that chance, that life away.

Roe vs. Wade was the culmination of a society manipulated by extremely radical activists like Margaret Sanger, who founded Planned Parenthood.  Based on the literature put out by Planned Parenthood, one would never truly know its dark roots. Ms. Sanger believed that people should actively purge the weak members of society in order to maintain order and help to develop a better race of human beings.  She was not shy about stating these beliefs, calling for the removal of “human weeds’ and the eradication of charity.  Sanger was a proponent of euthanasia, sterilization, abortion and infanticide- programs that Hitler used in his regime.  Was Sanger’s purpose in creating Planned Parenthood to give a woman a choice?  To liberate women from forced pregnancy?  Absolutely not.  Her aim was to cleanse the human race, and what better way than to convince an impoverished or unwed woman that the baby growing inside of her is worth nothing.

Sanger wasn’t alone in her activities.  Dr. Alfred Kinsey’s questionable studies took God and morality out of sex, reducing the act to nothing more than an animal instinct.  He also had no problem doing sexual research on children, which was truly nothing less than sexual abuse of minors. His theories had an agenda, and that agenda was to destroy the foundation of moral sexual behavior in our society.  Unfortunately, he was quite successful.  His findings were ‘liberating’ to many, but they also debased the traditional structures of family, commitment, and marriage.  As society bought into his so- called ‘sexually liberating’ findings, women found themselves risking pregnancy with more ease and acceptance, while also being told that an abortion was ‘no big deal’. Many studies and personal accounts from women who have had abortions prove this to be most untrue.  Many women grieve for years over having had an abortion, and some are never able to get over their suffering.

We have let the feminists and radical activists create a lie about the value of human life.  We have accepted and believed this lie as a society, and that is why Roe vs. Wade came to be.  It is based on a lie, and that lie has done more damage to our women and children than we could ever have expected.  It is time to reeducate society and tell the truth about abortion.  We need to understand that all human life has value, from the very beginning to the very end- unconditional, non-negotiable value that is sacred and important to all of us. It is time to stop pretending that abortion is anything less than ending a sacred life.

When we realize this, we will ultimately form a stronger society that empowers all women to value the life inside of them.  Only then can we begin to heal the devastation caused by Roe vs. Wade.

Thoughts for today

FOOTPRINTS...A New Version

Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together.  For much of the way, the Lord’s footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.

But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.

For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord’s, soon paralleling His consistently.

You and Jesus are walking as true friends!

This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus’ are now walking precisely in His steps.

Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.

This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change.  The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.

Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.

This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place.  Stops.  Starts. Gashes in the sand.  A variable mess of prints.

You are amazed and shocked.

Your dream ends. Now you pray:

“Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits.  I was a new Christian; I was

just learning.  But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You.”

“That is correct.”

“And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely.”

“Very good.. You have understood everything so far.”

When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way.”

“Precisely.”

“So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first.”

There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.

“You didn’t know?  It was then that we danced!”

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4.

It’s not WHAT you have in your life, but Whom you have in your life that counts… Think about

that.

I ASKED GOD

I asked for a flower,

He gave me a garden.

I asked for a tree,

He gave me a forest.

I asked for a river,

He gave me an ocean.

I asked for a friend,

He gave me “YOU.”

John Adams and John Jay

By Thomas E. Brewton

The PBS documentary on Abigail and John Adams is woefully inaccurate in one
major aspect.

-------------------
PBS’s two-hour documentary on the roles of Abigail and John Adams in the War of
Independence and in the formation of the United States is recommendable to
anyone interested in our nation’s history.

In one vital respect, however, it creates in passing an entirely erroneous
impression.  The PBS documentary doesn’t even mention John Jay.  The narrator
states that the treaty ending our War of Independence was negotiated and signed
by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams.

In fact, it was negotiated almost single-handedly by John Jay on terms so
favorable to the United States that political protests in England led, shortly
thereafter, to the fall of Lord Shelburne’s Ministry.

The Wikipedia’s summary of the 1783 treaty is the following:

“The Anglo-American settlement fixed the boundaries of the United States. In
the Northeast the line extended from the source of the St. Croix River due
north to the highlands separating the rivers flowing to the Atlantic from those
draining into the St. Lawrence River, thence with the highlands to lat. 45¡N,
and then along the 45th parallel to the St. Lawrence. From there the northern
boundary followed a line midway through contiguous rivers and lakes (especially
the Great Lakes) to the northwest corner of the Lake of the Woods, thence Òdue
westÓ to the sources of the Mississippi (which were not then known).

“The Mississippi, south to lat. 31¡N, was made the western boundary. On the
south the line followed the 31st parallel E to the Chattahoochee River and its
junction with the Flint River, then took a straight line to the mouth of the
St. Marys River, and from there to the Atlantic. The navigation of the
Mississippi was to be open to the citizens of both nations.

“Another section of the treaty granted Americans fishing rights off
Newfoundland and the privilege of curing fish in the uninhabited parts of
Labrador, Nova Scotia, and the Magdalen Islands, but not in Newfoundland. A
third part provided that creditors of either side would be unimpeded in the
collection of lawful debts. In a fourth section the American government
promised to recommend to the several states that they repeal their confiscation
laws, provide for restitution of confiscated property to British subjects, and
take no further proceedings against the Loyalists.”

Benjamin Franklin’s views regarding the nature of the treaty to end the war
would have been disastrous to the United States.  John Adams understood that,
but, as the PBS documentary makes clear, he was not well suited by personality
for diplomatic negotiation.

Franklin, having lived in Paris for many years, was a thorough Francophile.
His counsel was to place the United States’s fate in the hands of the French
Foreign Minister Vergennes.  His partiality to France arose from France’s
military support that enabled General Washington to trap Lord Cornwallis’s
armies at Yorktown and end the war.

What Franklin, in all his native shrewdness, failed to grasp was that France’s
aid was not for the purpose of supporting American Independence as such, but
for the purpose of hitting back at England to redress France’s catastrophic
losses in Canada and the West Indies during the earlier French and Indian War
period.  Vergennes intended to make France the protector of the United States
and use that position gradually to make the United States into an outpost of
the French Empire.

Franklin failed to see this, but Jay focused upon it like a laser beam.
Moreover, Jay understood that the United States’s natural ally was Great
Britain, the world’s greatest naval power, not Continental, land-army France.
Our historical trade had been via Great Britain, financed by London bankers.
As our shipping and trading expanded around the world, it would become vital to
have England as our ally.

Seeing all of this clearly, as Franklin did not, Jay immediately opened direct
discussions with his English counterpart in Paris and worked out the details of
the treaty.  Fortunately, Franklin could do little to interfere, because of his
illness at the time.

Jay has rightly been called the least appreciated of our Founding Fathers.

Fellow Americans:

The people who choose to side with America’s terrorist enemies in order to
undermine President Bush are at it again.

In a story published this Sunday, January 22nd, the San Jose Mercury News
happily promoted a political movement to Impeach President Bush.

In their story headlined, “Fueled by warrantless wiretapping, impeachment talk
is getting louder,” the Mercury News reported that a Political Action Committee
(ImpeachPAC) has been set up by Democrats.com to fund Democrat candidates who
will vote for the impeachment of President Bush.

[If you wish to read this article you can find it posted at this anti-Bush website, CensureBush.org - which at the bottom of the page links to the authentic version of the article at the San Jose Mercury News’ website:  http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/6997 ]

I hope this latest news underscores why it is that this congressional election
cycle is so important.

I’ve been trying to impress upon all of you for the past several weeks that the
Democrats are going to throw everything they can into this election cycle to
repeal Republican control of the Congress, stop the war against terrorism, pull
American troops out of Iraq in surrender, and conduct impeachment proceedings
against President Bush.

And the first place the Democrat party is going to take aim is on April 11th,
2006 in the Special Election to fill the vacant congressional seat once held by
Republican Randy “Duke” Cunningham.

We are working very hard to win this campaign - to defeat the anti-war liberal
Democrat candidate, Francine Busby.

But I have to tell you at times I worry about the daunting challenge before
us.  The entire Democrat establishment is lining up to pour in the resources to
win this race for their party.

And I need to match every volunteer or paid precinct worker the Democrats
mobilize in this campaign.  I need to match every TV or radio ad the Democrats
broadcast.  And I need to match every mailpiece the Democrats mail out to
voters.

Won’t you please help me do this?

You can contribute online here:

Defeating Liberals...

A MESSAGE FROM A GOOD POLITICIAN...

The news media is reporting that shortly before this past Christmas, the
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Communications Director, Bill
Burton, flew out from Washington, D.C. to a private meeting with anti-war
candidate, Francine Busby.

The purpose:  to discuss how the national Democrat party would help their
Democrat candidate, Francine Busby, win a Special Election for Congress on
April 11, 2006.

The nation’s attention that day will be on this election - the only
congressional election in the nation - and the Democrats will do whatever they
have to do to win.

Already Ms. Busby’s campaign has received the backing of individuals tied to
MoveOn.org, Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean’s “Democracy for
America,” and former Clinton aide Rahm Emmanuel.

The seat Ms. Busby is running for is the now vacated seat that had been held by
Republican Congressman Duke Cunningham, who was recently forced to resign
amidst admissions of wrongdoing.

Since this is my home district I agreed to run to hold this seat for the
Republican Party and to defeat the anti-war forces backing Ms. Busby.  As the
founder and one-time Chairman of the pro-troops organization, Move America
Forward, I was not about to sit back and watch the people who dishonor our
troops and our Commander in Chief swoop in and take this seat.

And now, with less than 50 days until absentee voting begins, the stakes are
raised.

As the North County Times quotes political analyst Stu Rothenberg:  “The 50th
District special election is seen by many political observers as a bellwether
for the 2006 general elections across the nation ---- and therein lies the
risk, he added.

“It’s both an opportunity and a danger for Democrats,” he said. “If Busby wins,
it could create a sense of euphoria and victory, and if she loses, it could
shake Democrats’ confidence and lead observers to wonder about the
effectiveness of their message.”

So there you have it.

The tide for the entire 2006 congressional election cycle will be set by this
election come April 11th.

And I urgently need your support for my campaign if we are to prevail.

I ask that you please do one of two things to support my campaign.

1) If you live in Southern California, please volunteer to help walk precincts,
make phone calls, etc… You can email our Precinct Coordinator, Noel
Zimmerman at:  Noel@KaloogianForCongress.com to sign up.

2) If you live outside of Southern California - or do not have the time to
volunteer - please make a contribution to our campaign.  We need to raise a
great deal of money to compete with the full power and fury of the Democrat
Party’s political machine if we are to win this race.

The war on Drugs

The War on Drugs Update

By Nathan Tabor

Each night, network news programs in America turn their focus on the war in Iraq.  Yet, routinely, the national news media ignore another war that’s been going on now for more than 30 years—the war on drugs.

By all indications, we continue to lose this hidden war.  And frankly, there are a number of people in the news media and in Hollywood who are actually rooting for the other side.  They’re the individuals who believe that there is no danger in a 13-year-old smoking pot when he should be in school…a twenty-eight-year-old mother smoking crack…or a 60-year-old ex-hippie who’s addicted to heroin.

According to the federal government’s household survey on drug use, which is conducted each year, 12.7 million people have used some kind of illegal drug in the last month. As many as 30 to 40 million people have used an illegal drug within the past year.  Of those who use drugs at least monthly, 10 million are assumed to be “casual” users, while 2.7 million are addicts.  But who’s to say that today’s casual user won’t become tomorrow’s addict?  And can’t even casual drug use destroy marriages, decimate families, and ruin lives?

In 1996, the national drug war suffered a serious setback when 56 percent of California voters cast ballots in favor of legalizing the growing and use of marijuana for so-called “medical purposes.” This is all part of an overall strategy to make drug use more acceptable to the general public.

A shocking report by the Government Accountability Office released just last month showed quite clearly the scope of the problem.  The report indicated that more than 50 government agencies are working on trying to combat illegal drug use in the U.S., yet they are having little effect on the overall production and consumption of illegal drugs.

Those who are looking to the federal government to single-handedly solve the problem of illegal drug use have to be demoralized at this point.  The fact is, after three decades, the feds are no closer to eradicating narcotics use than they were at the beginning.  If we truly care about protecting our children from the scourge of drug abuse, we need to act locally.

It all begins with the family.  Believe it or not, children do listen to what their parents have to say—and they follow their parents’ example.  Any parent who uses illegal drugs is doing a disservice to his or her children.  If children receive a strong anti-drug message at home, they are far less likely to experiment once they leave home. Also, a strong, two-parent family who regularly goes to church may be the best defense against drug abuse. Children turn to drugs as an escape in order to avoid the troubles in their lives.  They are far better able to cope when they have both a Mom and a Dad around whom they can depend on.

Churches can also be a powerful weapon in the war on drugs.  It has been shown that people of faith are less likely to turn to drugs in an effort to fulfill their inner-longings.  By offering hope—not only to the child who’s never tested drugs but also to the addict who’s trying to kick the habit, churches can help to rescue our culture from a drugged-out fate.

As a last line of defense, we should look to the schools in our communities—both public and private. They have a vested interest in keeping their student body drug-free.  Schools must re-double their drug education efforts. After all, the media routinely spout a pro-drug line—it is up to teachers and principals to counteract the myths with the truth.  We can beat drugs—but we have to do it house-by-house, neighborhood-by-neighborhood.  We cannot afford to lose another generation to the traumatic cycle of drugs and violence.

Teaching the test...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teaching to the Test

By Thomas E. Brewton

When liberal-progressives talk about ‘learning to think,’ they really are
speaking of absorbing PC attitudes.  Denigrating ‘teaching to the test’ is to
believe that learning facts and mastering mathematics diminishes the
capabilities of the human mind.

-------------------
Our school system since the late 1960s has become more a political
indoctrination regime than an educational one.  It’s the American version of
Communist China’s Red Guards compelling everyone to order his daily life by the
quotations in Chairman Mao’s Little Red Book.

Let’s start by saying that the Federal government should stay out of education
altogether, because it opens the door to an unconstitutional establishment of
religion, secular or Judeo-Christian.  No Child Left Behind is good in
requiring educational standards, bad in perpetuating the patently false idea
that spending more money will raise educational standards.

Teachers’ unions oppose the No Child Left Behind act, because it’s easy to read
liberal fairy tales to students, but difficult to teach them useful knowledge.
Roughly 70 percent of union delegates routinely reject proposals to base
teacher compensation on teaching results, a horrifying prospect under No Child
Left Behind.

Liberal media blatantly support them.  A recent episode of the TV program
“Boston Legal” took a gratuitous shot at ‘teaching to the test.’ Michael J.
Fox portrays a good-guy lawyer defending a school teacher from harassment by
parents obsessed with getting higher grades for their daughter.  The judge
grants an injunction against the parents after the Michael J. Fox character
declares that the No Child Left Behind act constitutes more than enough
harassment for teachers by requiring them to ‘teach to the test’ instead of
teaching students ‘how to think.’

Students in fact are not taught to think.  They are steered to the precepts of
secular humanism.

American history lessons in early grades amount to Michael Moore
documentaries.  From the earliest grades, when students have no experience or
knowledge against which to judge what they get in the classroom, lessons have
proceeded along the following lines: “Indians lived happy and peaceful lives in
North America until the Puritans arrived and drove them from their lands.  Do
we think the Puritans were good or bad?”

They learn, for example, that Columbus was an enemy of humanity, that the
writers of the Constitution were selfish capitalists conspiring to fleece ‘the
people.’ Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas are presented as national
days of hypocrisy and shame.  Students are told that our English constitutional
heritage is no better, perhaps worse, than any and all other cultures and
governmental principles.

What results is a socialistic fairy-tale version of history. The socialist
Super Hero (the 1960s student anarchist) ‘fights’ for the people, slays the
dragon of capitalism, and everyone lives happily ever after.

‘Teaching to think’ can’t avoid a glaring contradiction.  On the one hand,
students are imbued exclusively with the secular humanistic dogma that the only
‘sin’ is economic inequality.  On the other hand, they are taught that there
are no standards of right or wrong, that tolerance (meaning the absence of
standards) is the greatest virtue.  These contradictory positions are
‘reconciled’ with the PC rule that questioning the precepts of secular humanism
is ‘divisive’ and ‘threatening’ to other students.

‘Tolerance’ is, of course, just an atheistic concept to undercut Judeo-
Christian morality.

On the surface, liberal cavils about the No Child Left Behind act are, first,
that teaching to the test means simply memorizing specific answers to specific
questions, a rote catechism.  Second, that the Feds aren’t giving enough money
to the states to cover their costs, like the old Catskills comedian’s line,
“The food here is terrible, and there’s so little of it.”

Their underlying objection to No Child Left Behind is the terror that
performance standards will necessitate making students aware of the 20th
century’s world-wide slaughter of tens of millions of people resulting from
intellectuals’ presumptuous imposition of socialism and atheistic secular
humanism.

Parents who revolt against ‘teaching to the test’ are generally from wealthy,
liberal-progressive school districts like Scarsdale, NY, whose citizens got
national media publicity protesting No Child Left Behind a couple of years
ago.  Having lived there for 23 years and having watched my three children pass
through the Scarsdale schools before I moved to Connecticut, I can attest that
the issue is the parents’ desire to have a ruthlessly secular program that
inculcates ‘progressive’ attitudes.

It matters far less for Scarsdale students to get good training in reading,
‘riting, and ‘rithmetic than for children in the average school district,
coming from homes where many parents were less well educated.  The average
Scarsdale student is already ahead of the national curve when he enters
school.

If Scarsdale parents, and their ilk elsewhere, are seriously concerned about
the quality of education, why do they selfishly seek to throw roadblocks in the

paths of less fortunate and less wealthy school districts?

Few of them object to their children later in medical school, physics, or the
law having to cram facts in order to master concepts and to understand complex
systems.  Few of them would place themselves in the hands of doctors or lawyers
who had never had to pass examinations.

The bombast against ‘teaching to the test’ is disguised elitism that comes from
Auguste Comte’s Religion of Humanity, by way of John Dewey’s progressive
education.  Liberal-progressives tell themselves that they alone understand
the Immutable Laws of History and that it’s more important to brain-wash
children with PC attitudes than to educate them to live productive lives in the
real world.  Cynical politicians among them recognize that students who have
heard only the multi-cultural, PC party line will be more likely to vote for
liberal-progressive candidates.

Bin laden that Ground hog

Political Terror

by

Rob Hood

Well we have once again heard the rantings of a crazed madman called Osama Bin Laden. He has called for a truce while at the same time giving a stern warning. The message is still the same. Get out of the Middle East! Little does he know that it was the United States that made his home country what it is today. Before we came along and bought up their oil, they were eating sand sandwiches. He should be thanking us instead of making threats.

There is one thing I do not understand and maybe my readers can clarify it for me. Where do those tapes of Bin Laden come from and why can’t we track down the person responsible for giving the tapes to Al Jazeera? Apparently someone is hiding Bin laden in their home or office somewhere. It is highly unlikely he has survived this long hiding in mountain caves without proper medical care and nutrition.

It is also obvious to me that Mr. Bin laden is somewhat of a coward. He’s just a big bully on the playground of international politics. He makes all of these outlandish warnings but never carries out an attack himself. He always hides in his hole while he brainwashes others to do his bidding for him. He claims Allah will protect him from the United States. That is a good hypothesis. Now let’s test it and see how it actually works. Maybe when Bin laden has the courage to step out of his hiding place and face his so called enemies face to face, we will see if Allah protects him or not.

I have to admit that Bin laden’s timing is perfect. He only appears when President Bush seems to be in trouble which in turn makes the president’s approval ratings rise. Is Bin laden playing politics on a terror level? It seems to me that he is a very wise man when it comes to international politics. He knows how and when to influence strife between nations. Right now he has done a great job of dividing America. He has the anti-war left by his side all the way. I am quite sure he is sitting down watching our politics on TV somewhere and laughing at us because he has divided us.

Out of all of this, it is still imperative that we capture or kill Bin laden and spare no expense at doing so. We cannot afford to let him run loose any longer. He is a danger to humanity and maybe even a danger to himself. Being locked in a cave for four years can’t be good for one’s mind. I am sure he is in need of heavy psychological therapy. Then again, we have many that need to be in the same therapy session right here in America. Looks like we may need more Ritalin after all.

Since we are nearing Groundhog Day maybe we should change the scenario. If Bin Laden pops his head out of his hole and sees his shadow, we’ll have six more weeks of terror. Looks like it may be time to go groundhog hunting. We can see an overpopulation.

“1935 will go down in history! For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead in the future!” --Adolf Hitler

Worked good for him. The disarmed German citizenry were easy prey for his Gestapo, as were the French who followed suit.

Building a Wall

President Reagan’s famous words “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” in reference to the Berlin wall inspired millions of people living under communism to demand, and eventually secure, freedom. Those simple words changed the world forever.

In today’s world, America actually needs a wall to protect our nation from global terrorism and illegal immigration from the third-world nation of Mexico.
In other words, we need a wall to preserve the democracy and freedom cherished by so many.

Thus, we say to President George Bush:

“Mr. Bush, Build That Wall!”

We encourage the President and Members of Congress based on the following:

The American public is FED UP with the invasion of our sovereign nation by third-world outlaws from Mexico. Even Democrat politicians are finally getting the message: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MUST BE STOPPED NOW!

Aspiring politicans who seize this issue will win in 2006 and 2008. Successful candidates must understand that:

We are FED UP with the refusal of the federal government to secure our borders, opting instead to provide big business with slave labor in the form of illegals from Mexico. This irresponsible policy leaves our nation vulnerable to terrorism, and we are FED UP with this endangerment of American lives for cheap fruit.

We are FED UP with people who are here illegally and who can not and/or will not speak English.

We are FED UP with illegals from Mexico who cost American taxpayers scores of billions of dollars every year in health care, education, incarceration, and welfare.

We are FED UP with taxpayer dollars being wasted to print documents in a foreign language (Spanish).

We are FED UP with illegals who dump their medical bills on the backs of US taxpayers and who still send $30-40 billion a year back to Mexico each year.

We are FED UP with our schools being invaded by non-English speaking children from Mexico who impede the learning process of students who genuinely belong here.

We are FED UP with the fact that federal, state and local penal systems are overrun by illegals from Mexico, again costing US taxpayers billions each year.

We are FED UP with the fact that the majority of crimes being investigated in Los Angeles have been committed by illegals from Mexico.

We are FED UP with elected officials who refuse to enforce our borders and immigration laws. First and foremost, that includes George W Bush!

We are FED UP with federal, state and local agencies who refuse to round up and deport millions of illegals who are destroying American culture and language.

We are FED UP with politicians, both Hispanic and non-Hispanic, who coddle illegals with drivers licenses, lower college tuitons and similar benefits which only encourage more people to invade the US from Mexico.

We are FED UP with politicians---again, including first and foremost, GW Bush---who pander to thieves like Vicente Fox who seek to dump Mexico’s poor and illiterate on the backs of US taxpayers.

We are FED UP with the attempted Mexicanization of America. Mexico is a third- world slum and we are FED UP with those who want America to be like Mexico!

Politicians--Democrat and Republican alike---who fail to heed the anger of the people concerning this issue will soon find themselves “former elected” officials.

We will not allow outlaws from Mexico to ruin this great nation!

Mr. Bush, Build That Wall!

Prayer and Alito...

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God’s eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus’ example—to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It’s the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.. I pray for those who are lost and can’t find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don’t believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. ! Every battle is in Your hands for You to figh t.. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Alito Hearings Bring Out the Worst in the Pro-Abortion Crowd
by Nathan Tabor

The confirmation hearings for prospective U.S. Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito have shown the pro-abortion lobby for what it is—a group that values abortion above all else.

It is not enough for the pro-abortion lobbyists that Alito is a magnificent Constitutional scholar, an independent thinker, and a judge of remarkable temperament. What they want is a pro-abortion puppet who will uphold the travesty of Roe v. Wade—no matter what the consequences.

Consider this statement from the president of the pro-abortion group NARAL, Nancy Keenan, as reported by LifeNews.com: “Under the first round of questions from Senator Specter, Samuel Alito did not refute his record of opposition to Roe v. Wade.”

What does that matter? Isn’t a judge—particularly a judge on the highest court of the land—supposed to be fair and impartial? Would it really be wise for him to go on the record in support of Roe, when such support could imply a blanket endorsement of all laws that favor abortion? Don’t we want judges who are committed to the law, rather than to ideology?

The UN Gun Ban...

The Anti-Gun Left and the UN

by

Rob Hood

Recently my own home state of Mississippi has brought forth a bill that has not yet passed, but is widely supported in the state. The bill simply says that law abiding citizens will have the right to shoot to kill at any intruder in their own home or if the citizen falls under attack elsewhere including their own vehicles (carjacking). I see nothing wrong with self-defense. If this new bill if signed into law, it will set the model for other states who have been pursued by radical left wing groups who oppose guns and who side with the ACLU and UN on the issue.

The UN Gun Ban Treaty, according to the National Rifle Association, asks us as free law abiding citizens to sacrifice our own constitutional right to bear arms in order for us to bow down and worship the great and mighty United Nations. Since when has the UN had the authority or the right to make laws that would affect my freedom in my own country. The UN and EU should get their noses out of people’s personal business and tend to what they were created to do. Here we are looking for Iran to build nuclear weapons but instead of the UN worrying about a nuclear bomb they are worried about a few middle-aged hunters legally carrying 30-06 rifles and a shotgun. Which is more of a threat?

Look at what the National Rifle Association has to say about what the gun an treaty does:

NRA : “A worldwide gun ban treaty is working its way through the United Nations. Its backers hope that this treaty can one day be used to monitor, regulate, or even outlaw private gun ownership in the United States. NRA fiercely opposes this treaty. NRA also opposes the use of U.S. taxpayer dollars to develop or promote this treaty”.

I strongly agree with the NRA on this issue. The last thing we need is a foreign government telling us what we can and cannot own in our own home. This is the United States of America. We area free and sovereign nation and do not have to listed to the boring and senseless left wing rhetoric of the ever corrupt UN. We have our own laws and if it remains up to me we will keep those laws and dismiss any dealings with any nation that tells us we can’t have it like that. If anyone is interested in stopping this very dangerous treaty from the UN, please contact the National Rifle Association for more info. I know I will certainly do my part to make sure this issue dies.

The liberals pitch a hissy fit about NSA program of intelligence gathering, calling it an invasion of privacy, and yet do nothing to defend our privacy against the UN on dangerous programs designed to strip our constitution down to its naked core and replace it with a socialist regime ruled by communist nations. I’ll fight to my last dying breath to make sure that my country stays free of such atrocities! Who’s with me?

A Political Class...

The Neo-Marxian Political Class

By Thomas E. Brewton

Apparatchiks in the public bureaucracy are the largest and fastest-growing
sector in the nation’s workforce and the only ones who can be totally
indifferent to productivity.  That may have something to do with the taxes we
pay.

-------------------
We are back to Marx’s labor theory of value: the value of a good or service is
no more than the hours of labor involved in its production.  The slower a
public employee works, theoretically, the greater the value of his services to
the people.  A corollary is the more public employees, the more labor time
expended, thus the greater the value to the working public.

Recent decades have brought us a surge in membership and influence of public
employees (including teachers) unions.  In the past, government employees were
protected from firing by Civil Service regulations.  In return for job security
in the ups and downs of the economy, public employees were generally forbidden
by law to strike.  Political clout of the unions has reversed that.

Liberal-progressives have long championed labor unions as effective weapons in
socialistic redistribution of income.

This was the reason for the New Deal’s Wagner Labor Act and for FDR’s love
affair with unions heavily influenced by the Socialist and Communist Parties,
like the Reuthers’ United Auto Workers and Sidney Hillman’s Amalgamated
Clothing Workers.  Needless to say, FDR was not oblivious to the effect on
voters in the unions.

This was the subtext for Al Gore’s ‘reinventing government’ during the Clinton
administration and for Gore’s assertion that environmentalism was good for the
economy, because it created new bureaucratic jobs.

This was the idea behind Michael Harrington’s 1960s pitch for ending poverty by
putting more people on the public payroll.  Harrington was then head of the
American Socialist Party, and his “The Other America” was required reading for
the Kennedy administration’s New Frontiersmen.

His 1968 “Toward a Democratic Left: A Radical Program for a New Majority”
expressed the sense of LBJ’s Great Society paradigm.  ÒEven in a society based
on private economic power, the Government can be an agency of social, rather
than corporate, purposeÉThis does not require a fundamental transformation of
the system.  It does, however, mean that the society will democratically plan
ÒuneconomicÓ allocations of significant resources.ÉUnder such conditions it
would be possible to realize full Ñ and meaningful Ñ employment for all those
ready and able to work.  Going beyond the quantities of the the New Deal, the
economy could be stimulated by promoting the affluence of the public sector
rather than by tax cuts, and in the process millions of creative jobs can be
designed to better the nationÕs education, health, leisure, and the like.
Within twenty years such a policy of social investments should end all poverty,
eradicate the slums and erode the economic basis of racism.  And those people
who are unable to work could be provided with a guaranteed annual income
instead of shoddy, uncoordinated and inadequate welfare payments.ÉÉThe very
character of modern technology, [Harvard economist] Galbraith says, renders the
old market mechanisms obsolete.  In these circumstances planning is
obligatory.  The state must manage the economy in order to guarantee sufficient
purchasing power to buy the products of the industrial system.Ó

Now, nearly forty years later, the public employees’ and teachers’ unions hold the balance of political power in the nation.  Bill Quick in Daily Pundit, JANUARY 14, 2006, Welcome to the Party, writes: “More than 21 million people are employed by government at all levels in the US, by far the single biggest classification of employment in this country. Government workers comprise about 15 percent of the total work force, and exert a significant effect on the political culture of the nation as a whole. The reason for this is simple: Government workers neither produce nor consume in any sense relevant to classical notions of capitalism. Every penny they “earn” is taken from the pockets of those who actually produce things.”

(My thanks to Maggie’s Farm for bringing this posting to my attention.)

The negative effects of the union stranglehold on government were discussed at length in Labor Unions: Socialism’s Shock Troops, where I wrote:

“ItÕs not the improved lives of union members, however, that is the evil
necessarily associated with unionism.Ê ItÕs both the fact that improvement of
union member status is a transfer payment from non-union employees and
consumers that impels inflation, and that government regulatory involvement is
essential to the process of union extortion.....

“Politically and economically, the New DealÕs answer [to the Depression] was
mass organization of labor, which would both get out the voters for liberal-
socialism, bringing traditionalist Congressmen to heel, and would be powerful
enough, with Federal backing, to force big business to its financial knees.

“President Roosevelt therefore made labor unions central to the New Deal.Ê John
T. Flynn, an economist and syndicated columnist at the time, described it this
way in ÒThe Roosevelt Myth:Ó

ÒThere were men around the President at this time who saw the tremendous
possibilities of organizing labor as a political force.Ê They knew the history
of the labor movement in England, which had grown so great that it completely
wiped out the old Liberal party as a political force.Ê They believed that
something like that could be done in America and they wanted the President to
use his vast powers and great funds to encourage the formation of labor into a
great political force.Ê To do this it was necessary to enlarge the field of
labor organization.Ó

PEPSI ... the God haters

Subject: DON’T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!

Don’t buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new “patriotic” can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the
Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,

“Under God.”
Pepsi said they didn’t want to offend anyone.

In that case, we don’t
want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
So if we don’t buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
when they don’t receive our money that has the words

“In God We Trust” on it.

Dictators in Power...

At the Mercy of Dictators

By Thomas E. Brewton

Russia’s recent cut-off of natural gas supplies to Ukraine shows us the wisdom
of deposing Saddam Hussein.

-------------------
Willingness of our ‘ally’ Russia, with its UN Security Council veto, cold-
bloodedly to let Ukrainians freeze in the middle of winter is a small taste of
what Saddam and Al Queda might have done to us if we had continued to rely
exclusively on UN sanctions and inspections.

Socialist theory tells us that wars result only from the greed of capitalists
lusting for profits from the blood of workers.  Socialist Russia’s power play
is just the latest evidence countering such fictions inculcated by secular
educators at our liberal universities.

If trade embargoes historically have been considered acts of war, then Russia
recently went to war against Ukraine and potentially much of Western Europe,
which gets as much as 25 percent of its natural gas from Russia.  To bully
Ukraine for its Orange revolution that turned down Moscow’s hand-picked
presidential candidate, an increasingly totalitarian and arbitrary Russia cut
off natural gas supplies to Ukraine on New Years day.

Imagine the effect in the United States if Saddam were still in power in
Baghdad and he had joined forces with Al Queda to curtail our petroleum
supply.

Liberal-progressives continue to comfort themselves with the head-in-the-sand
faith that there was no such cooperation.  Facts now coming to light, however,
reveal this to be self-deception.

The Wall Street Journal on January 13 reported “.… documents from Saddam’s
own regime show that his government trained thousands of Islamic terrorists at
camps inside Iraq before the war...” According to the Journal, Stephen Hayes
in the Weekly Standard wrote that “..… from 1999 through 2002, “elite Iraqi
military units” trained roughly 8,000 terrorists at three different campsÑin
Samarra and Ramadi in the Sunni Triangle, as well as at Salman Pak, where
American forces in 2003 found the fuselage of an aircraft that might have been
used for training. Many of the trainees were drawn from North African terror
groups with close ties to al Qaeda, including Algeria’s GSPC and the Sudanese
Islamic Army. Mr. Hayes writes that he had no fewer than 11 corroborating
sources, and yesterday he told us he’d added several more since publication.”
Those sources are Iraqi government documents seized after the fall of Baghdad
and still being translated.

Had we continued to depend upon the UN and the mythical ‘community of nations’
operating under the equally diaphanous ‘rule of international law,’ Saddam and
Al Queda could have pressured neighboring Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to stop
shipments, as well as cutting off all Iraqi oil exports to us.  We can be sure
that Iran would not have stepped in to help us with their oil.

For background, see Iraq: What Are We Fighting For?.

Liberal-progressives’ facile answer, of course, is to rely on alternative
fuels.  But environmentalists among them have effectively foreclosed that
route.

Coal, the most abundant and easily obtained source, is a no-no to
environmentalists.  Ethanol requires roughly 1.7 gallons to produce one gallon
of ethanol; using ethanol increases our use of foreign oil 70 percent per
gallon.  Wind-power ‘farms’ require barren desert or leveling all trees for
miles around; they are noisy, unsightly, and kill thousands of birds.  Both
wind-power and solar energy panels necessitate vast acreage, and the energy
produced is much more costly than using petroleum or natural gas.  Our lower-48
supplies of natural gas are running low, and environmentalists again have
blocked drilling for oil or natural gas in ANWR, which can supply around a
million barrels of oil per day.

Meanwhile, even if we find additional supplies of petroleum, it will do us no
good.  Since the 1970s environmentalist have blocked construction of new oil
refineries and terminals to import liquified natural gas.  Our oil refineries
today run flat-out at capacity round the clock, except for repair and
maintenance time, and still can’t supply peak demand.

Liberal-progressives have another facile answer: impose ‘windfall’ taxes on the
oil companies.  This is a sure-fire way to get those companies to invest vast
sums in finding and producing new petroleum sources?

If liberal-progressives’ demands for immediate pull-out in Iraq don’t allow Al
Queda to destroy us, their environmental obstructionism will get the job done.

Income Redistribution?

’Living Wage’ is Socialistic Income Redistribution

By Thomas E. Brewton

The ‘living wage’ concept is simply the discredited Marxian dogma that social
justice requires equal distribution of wealth and income on the basis of labor
hours worked, without regard to productivity or individual merit.  And it’s a
disguised way to turn red states into blue ones.

-------------------
Liberal Democrats and Republicans are champions of the ‘living wage’ concept.
The Democratic Party believes that it will be a winning issue in the 2006 and
2008 elections.

Recently, advocates of the ‘living wage’ induced the Santa Fe city council to
mandate a $9.50 per hour living wage, almost double the $5.15 Federal minimum
wage.  In prior years similar ordinances were enacted in Baltimore, San
Francisco, and elsewhere.

The aim now is to establish the concept at the Federal level in order to impose
a one-size-fits-all mandate for the entire nation.  More than periodic
Congressional adjustments to the ill-advised minimum wage, the living wage
would permit large and continuous percentage increases in wages by bureaucrats
in Washington.

The case for the ‘living wage’ is presented in the January, 15, 2006, edition of the New York Times Magazine by Jon Gertner, in an article titled What is a Living Wage?

The Times’ answer: A) A grass-roots campaign to increase the pay of workers? B)
A point of debate among economists? C) A new moral-values issue for Democrats?
Answer: All of the above

In giving lip service to moral values, liberal secular-materialists are again
speaking out of both sides of their mouths.  Side one declares that the
‘morality’ of social justice requires arbitrary minimum wages determined by
Marxian economists.  Simultaneously, the other side of the liberal mouth
insists on purely secular education, prominently featuring the evolutionary
hypothesis that there is no God and thus no moral truth.

True morality applies to individuals and to individual businesses, all of whom
should strive to treat their employees in accordance with the Golden Rule.
Given the vastness and infinite variety of the labor market, no regulatory
bureau ever will possess sufficient wisdom and knowledge to determine a ‘moral’
wage level.

It doesn’t take rocket science to perceive the motivation behind this movement:
a redistribution of political power paralleling socialistic income
redistribution.  Voters see higher wages, but don’t connect that to resulting
higher prices and fewer jobs over ensuing years.

The red-state populations are growing much faster than those of the blue-state
Northeast and upper Midwest, ensnared by their welfare hand-outs and high labor
union wages and benefits.  Why should low-living-cost states have to pay the
same wages as high-living-cost states?  Taking away their economic advantages
would over time neuter the red states politically.

As Cafe Hayek expressed it, if the New York Times is so keen on raising the living standards of entry-level workers, why doesn’t it donate its profits to charitable groups for that purpose?  Why doesn’t the Times pay its entry-level workers $60,000 a year, a living wage for a family with children in high-cost NYC?

Philosophically, the ‘living wage’ assumes the socialistic proposition that
there is no such thing as human nature and therefore that there is no rational
order to the free market.  Life is an inherently meaningless Darwinian struggle
for survival that must be subjected to social justice by the material force of
bureaucratic regulation (they’re smart; you aren’t).  Bureaucrats theoretically
will bring perfection, peace, and harmony to political society.

More than two hundred years’ political experimentation belies this hypothesis.
Entitlement to wages without regard to productivity, as we saw in the Soviet
Union and still see in countries like Sweden, results in cumulative declines in
national wealth and lower individual standards of living.

Some other problems:

-- It discriminates against the rapidly growing elderly population who seek low-
level work to supplement their retirement and Social Security income, but lack
the physical stamina and technical training of younger workers.

-- It causes job losses, either because businesses hire fewer entry-level
workers, or because they lay off entry-levelers.  Capital doesn’t remain
invested in businesses that lose money or produce marginal rates of return.

-- It intensifies pressure to outsource jobs to low-wage countries.

-- It leads to substituting automation for live workers as a way to reduce
labor costs.

-- It makes starting mom-and-pop businesses harder, because they have limited
latitude for price increases without established customer bases, and because
they have limited financial resources to withstand diminished profit margins.

-- It’s unfair to those who are better workers, who lose part of what they
might get as merit pay.

-- It ignores the fact that the wage rate is only part of the total
compensation package for most workers, who get varying levels of health
insurance and other indirect compensation.

-- It’s is a disguised tax on consumers; businesses have to offset higher wage
costs, to some degree, with higher prices.

-- It’s an indirect way for bureaucrats to pick winners and losers arbitrarily,
to preserve businesses by fiat that can’t compete economically with low-labor-
cost, low-price businesses like Wal-Mart.

LIFE ...

The Sanctity of Life in a Culture of Death

by

Rob Hood

Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday marked by the Southern Baptist Convention ( www.sbc.net ). The main subject of this day is the value of human life and deals with subjects like abortion, euthanasia, the hungry, and the sick. Jesus often talked about helping the poor and helping the hungry and we can all see by His examples and miracles how much he valued human life. He sacrificed himself on a cross to give anyone who would believe in Him eternal life in Heaven.

He performed many acts of grace and miracles on those in need. He showed compassion by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and even raising the dead. The scriptures mentions several instances where He raised people who had died. He valued life very much and when I think about all of the evils of abortion and euthanasia today I wonder just how Jesus must feel to see His creation act in such a way as this.

Last year alone there were over 255,000 abortions in the U.S. and we are at a staggering 46,000,000 since Roe v. Wade. Do we really have the authority to destroy God’s creation like this? How does He feel? I wonder when it will all stop. Abortion in my book is murder plain and simple. I believe that life starts at conception and that life is precious enough to preserve.

I know that there are many out there that do not value life as Christians do. The terrorists that we fight every day think so little of life when they strap a bomb to themselves in order to murder others that they don’t even know. I guess that these men and women do not realize that we are all created and loved by the same God. The Bible tells us that God even know how many hairs are on our head. How is that for caring? I can think of one passage of scripture that is my favorite that deals with God and the sanctity of human life.

PSALM 8

THEME: The greatness of God assures the worth of mankind. God, the all-powerful creator, cares for his most valuable creation-people.

O Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is you name in all the earth!

You have set your glory

above the heavens.

From the lips of children and infants

You have ordained praise

because of your enemies,

to silence the foe and the avenger.

When I consider your heavens,

the work of your fingers,

the moon and stars,

which you have set in place,

what is man that you are mindful of him,

the son of man that you care for him?

You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings

and crowned him with glory and honor.

You made him ruler over the works of your hands;

You put everything under his feet:

all flocks and herds,

and the beasts of the field,

the birds of the air,

and the fish of the sea,

all that swim the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is your name in all the earth!

God thought so much of His creation of mankind that he made him ruler over the rest of His creation. Today and throughout the remainder of the year we need to remind ourselves just how precious and short life really is and learn to respect and love those around us.

Iran...

Iran and ‘World Opinion’

By Thomas E. Brewton

It’s test-time for Senators Kerry and Kennedy and their faith in socialist
‘world opinion’ and ‘the community of nations.’

-------------------

We are about to walk the same utopian path that led us nowhere during twelve
years of negotiating with Iraq through the UN.  Despite many months of
diplomatic niceness by the mythical ‘community of nations,’ Iran is yet again
thumbing its nose at ‘world opinion.’

Hope, however, springs eternal in the savage socialistic breast.  Our liberal-
Progressives cling to their religious faith that the ‘workers of the world’
will never countenance aggression and war.  It’s only nasty, capitalistic Big
Business (Halliburton again?) that wants war in order to make blood-money
profit from the lives of innocent civilians.  All we have to do is let the
intellectuals discover what material goods Iran wants and fork them over, even
if the material goods amount to the extermination of Israel.  That’s, in
liberal eyes, a small price to pay for restoration of French, German, and
Russian approval for American foreign policy.

Meanwhile, however, liberals are leaving nothing to chance.  IranÕs brazen
reopening of its nuclear production facilities has stirred up a real hornets’
nest.  Secretary General Mohammed El Baradei of the International Atomic Energy
Agency that he told reporters in Vienna he was Òlosing his patienceÓ with
TehranÕs leaders.

This must have terrified the Mullahs; heaven help them should Mr. El Baradei’s
impatience rise to the level of irritation.

The big artillery is being positioned for our next move.  We and other nations
are negotiating to get the UN Security Council to review this latest breach of
international agreement and, saints forfend, impose sanctions on Iran.  We all
remember how successful UN sanctions were in making Saddam into a benign ruler
who channelled immense oil wealth into humanitarian aid for his own subjects.

If the Iranian situation follows the Iraq script, in the months after Teheran
launches its first nuclear missiles against Israel, Senators Kennedy, Kerry,
Schumer, and Leahey will be speaking approvingly of street demonstrations by
world socialists here and in Europe, demanding that we give UN sanctions still
more months to work.

One has to wonder whether the truth ever will sink into the liberal-Progressive
consciousness.  Almost a full century of feckless pursuit of world peace via
public meetings, first in the League of Nations, now in the UN, presents us
with an unblemished record of failure.  The League did nothing to stop Japan’s
rape of China or Mussolini’s invasion of Ethiopia, and certainly nothing to
arrest Hitler’s conquests.  Only when the United States unilaterally took
military action, sometimes marginally supported by UN members as in Korea, has
the UN ‘worked.’

In the real world, some types of sanctions might be partly effective in
deterring Iran’s nuclear ambitions.  But imposing them through the UN and
getting all UN members to honor the sanctions is not a reliable means, as we
saw with French, German, and Russian under-the-table dealing in Iraq’s case in
the massive oil-for-humanitarian-aid scandal.

As I noted in Misunderstanding Alliances, nations that survive do not follow utopian liberal-socialist theories when formulating their foreign policies.  They seek to protect their vital national interests and to enhance their international advantages.  Only when those vital national interests coincide with results of diplomatic negotiations will they follow the diplomatic path.

We are in a multi-faceted game.  No matter what they may say publicly, many
other nations see their national interests best served by diminishing the power
of the United States.

Russia is smarting from our support of Ukraine’s break-away elections last year
and anxious to reassert its military, economic, and diplomatic power.  China
likewise has much to gain by seeing us preoccupied in the Middle East and less
able to concentrate upon North Korea and Taiwan.  Other Middle Eastern Islamic
autocracies see our success there as a potential threat to their own rule.  And
France has for centuries seen itself as a natural antagonist of England and the
United States and is always searching for ways to reinvigorate la gloire
francaise.

All of history repeatedly and bloodily informs us that aggression and war
cannot simply be wished away, nor influenced by socialist mobs waving placards
and smashing private property in the streets.

God vs. Science

by Nathan Tabor

The Religion of Science

January 12, 2006 10:21 PM EST

We’ve all heard the argument, evolution is a ‘science’ and therefore it is somehow more valuable or respectable than religion. This same argument won the right of evolution studies in our public school classrooms, and helped build the wall around so called non -scientific ‘creationism’ and to this day keeps it from being taught in our public schools.
It seems that labeling something as a science is a one way ticket to popularity and acceptance. Deeming something to be of a religious nature practically guarantees objection, often ridicule. Could these labels be less than honest? Could we have been sold a bill of goods when they say that evolution is a science? Could it actually be a religion? Evolution and Creationism couldn’t BOTH be religions, could they ?

Absolutely.

When we take a closer look at the definitions of science and religion, we find that evolution is based on the same premises as any religion, and isn’t a science at all.

Science is defined as the ‘systematized knowledge derived from observation, study, and experimentation carried on in order to determine the nature or principles of what is being studied.’ To observe, study and experiment would mean that one would have to have some kind of contact with that which is being observed, studied, or experimented upon. For example, one can study a plant, or a gas, or the effects of weather, since one can see them happen right before them, in real time. A scientist can only truly study what is in the present, or what is existing and changing right now.

How can someone observe, study or experiment on evolution? Evolution is the process of something moving from one stage of development to another. What do we really have to scientifically prove evolution?

A scientist might have a fossil, but we can only speculate as to the age and appearance of the animal creating that fossil. No one has ever witnessed evolution of life, no one here now was there to observe, study and experiment. Like it or not, we can only form theories and beliefs about what might have been. As sound as these theories might be, they are and will always be theories. Evolution is simply a system of belief based on what we think might have happened. Those who believe in evolution have faith in the scientist’s abilities to speculate and imagine what might have been. This is not science. This is faith.

The definition of religion is ‘cause, principle or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith’. Creationism is exactly that (according to evolutionist)…but so is evolution. Evolutionists hold to their beliefs with great ‘ardor and faith’. The difference between the two is that evolutionists believe that there is no God or that a God didn’t create the world, and they work from that principle. Creationists believe in a God that gave man life and created the world, and base their system of belief on that. There is nothing to observe, study and experiment with, both must rely on faith, and relying on faith isn’t science.

It is time we removed the phony and inaccurate label of ‘science’ from evolution and see it for what it really is - a religion, based on faith and a system of belief. If public schools are not allowed to teach religion, then the theories of evolution have no place in a public school classroom. If they are allowed to teach theories based on faith, like evolution, then creationism should be taught also.

Politics ...

Democrats are the Pot calling the Kettle Black

By Rob Hood (01/11/06)

Recently events in Washington have made the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party run around in circles like chickens with their heads cut off. We have all seen the grinch like grins that go from ear to ear on Howard Dean about what happened in the Tom Delay case and the Abramoff scandal. While Abramoff was very wrong in doing what he done, the Democrats are still pointing fingers and refusing to admit their part of the scandal as well.

Howard Dean in all of his wonderful and magnificent and sinless glory said just two days ago that only Republicans were guilty of crimes. His words were “ this is a Republican scandal. Not one single Democrat was involved in this.” Apparently he is only trying to either confuse the public or is simply lying and don’t care. That’s not the only thing he has said that is silly if not downright arrogant and stupid. He has also said that he HATES Republicans and that they are an party of “white Christians”. So I guess what he is saying is that he hates white Christian Republicans. If that’s the case, he has alot of people to hate because right now his own party is in trouble.

We are just now seeing a little hint of justice stemming from the John Kerry campaign’s little act of violence before the election. His campaign apparently was responsible for slashing people’s tires on election day. Well, there a little more to his campaign than that. He was at one time accused of wanting to ban the Bible. This is just a rumor and has no evidence of being true. However, it was probably stemmed from Canada wanting to ban certain references to homosexuality in the Bible. Being a big liberal, people probably feared that Kerry and company would side with Canada on this issue. Kerry was also planning to ban guns. He would have been a much more deviant and crucial member of the left wing party to ban guns than Clinton ever was. With a trial lawyer for a Vice President and putting liberal activist judges on the Supreme Court and by raising funds using liberal churches and organizations like the ACLU, he could have actually gotten away with tearing down an amendment to the constitution. I am sure glad he lost. He scared me more than Clinton.

As you can see, the title of this article is Democrats are the pot calling the kettle black. There is one main reason and the last point to make as to why I say this. Remember John Kerry before the election? Well it turns out that people who were against Bush were attending churches and was rumored to be directly from the Kerry camp, were actually spying on the pastors of those churches, particularly in the South to make sure that no leader made a pro-Bush statement. If they did they would be turned in to the IRS. What gets my goat about this is the fact that these same people who were doing this, were watching Kerry on TV make his speeches from a black church. Is that not hypocrisy? Why did Kerry not get turned in? Well we all see now how the Democrats really are. They laugh and sing and play when something goes wrong in the Republican party even when they are directly involved partly because they know that the mainstream media is on their side and will hide most of the facts anyway. Perhaps that’s why they lost and keep losing elections. People are sick and tired of loudmouths and smartelics like Howard Dean and Edward Kennedy running the show, so they decided to change the channel. I like this new channel. Maybe we can keep it.

PC College Classes

From Agape Press

YAF Releases Annual List of America’s Most Bizarre, PC College Courses

http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/1/afa/92006f.asp

By Jim Brown

January 9, 2006

(AgapePress) - The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) has unveiled its annual
list of the country’s most bizarre and politically correct college courses.
This “Dirty Dozen” list includes such items as the John Hopkins University
course called “Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll in Ancient Egypt,” in which
students view slideshows depicting ancient Egyptian women “fixing their hair,”
“having intercourse,” and “vomiting on each other.”

Foundation spokesman Jason Mattera says he wonders how U.S. institutions of
higher learning can justify offering such courses while college tuition rates
are at an average of more than $21,000 a year. “Our students are studying
issues in prostitution, teeth-whitening, and Beavis and Butthead,” he laments.

“For instance,” Mattera says, “at Princeton University—one of the most
prestigious universities in the country—students examine in one course the
culture production of early modern women. They examine prostitutes, cross-
dressing, and same-sex eroticism during the Renaissance period.” That course
was ranked number one on the Foundation’s latest list of the most bizarre and
PC courses on college and university campuses.

Also, Occidental College made its first appearance ever on the “Dirty Dozen”
list this time around with both the second and seventh most bizarre course
offerings in 2005, the YAF spokesman points out. The number two course in the
rankings, he notes, was a core curriculum class called “The Unbearable
Whiteness of Barbie: Race and Popular Culture in the United States,” which
explores “ways that scientific racism has been put to the use of the making of
Barbie.”

According to the creators of that course, Mattera explains, “Matel was racist
when they unveiled Barbie.” And “as if that wasn’t enough,” he adds, “they
examine the film The Matrix as a Marxist critique of capitalism.”

Occidental offers another course, aptly, in “Stupidity,” Mattera says. Among
other things, he notes, “Stupidity”—which touts itself as a critical
psychology class following the work of Friedrich Nietzsche and other
philosophers—compares the American presidency to “Beavis and Butthead,” an
animated TV show featuring two moronic and puerile cartoon characters.

FRAUD ...

Scientific” Tort Fraud

By Thomas E. Brewton

A virulent form of scientific fraud is phony medical diagnoses to support the
tort bar’s manufactured class-action suits.

-------------------
As noted in The Prostitution of Science, one of the main tracks of scientific fraud is the use of putative scientific experts to support manufactured lawsuits.  The scientific “experts” and the tort attorneys rake in fees, sometimes in the tens of millions of dollars.

Forbes Magazine, in its January 9, 2006, issue, describes yet another of these
operations under the title “Twitch & Shout.” Reporter Mary Ellen Egan
writes:

“One of the hottest topics on the tort lawyer conference circuit is welding rod
litigation. A $1 million award in 2003 got lawyers’ attention. An Illinois
maintenance worker convinced a jury that the manganese fumes emitted during
welding caused his Parkinson’s..…
But recent events open a window into how a tort claim becomes epidemic. In
December the first two welding cases in a mass tort with 5,300 claimants
imploded amid charges of faked injuries. And now defense attorneys for a dozen
companies are asserting that manganese-induced Parkinson’s and its supposed
symptoms were fabricated “out of thin air” by lawyers and a physician working
with them.

“The lead trial lawyer is tobacco tort king Richard (Dickie) Scruggs. The
physician who saw the majority of claimants is Dr. Paul Nausieda, medical
director of the Regional Parkinson’s Center in Milwaukee. “He’s a one-man
epidemic,” proclaims defense attorney John Beisner. “He defines manganism,
designs the screening process and does the diagnosing.”

“According to Beisner, the scenario went like this: Scruggs and fellow
plaintiff lawyer John (Don) Barrett ran TV and print ads in New York, Los
Angeles and elsewhere advising welders that they could be entitled to monetary
awards if they had symptoms ranging from headaches to insomnia. The welders
would then contact the lawyers’ firms. The lawyers would refer them to
Nausieda.

“Once they arrived at Nausieda’s screening site, welders would fill out a fact
sheet that asked if they suffered from complaints such as headaches and
tremors, and if they’d been seen by a doctor. Once the sheet was completed, the
potential claimants were observed for a few minutes by either Nausieda or one
of his interns, some of whom weren’t trained in neurology. After the exams
Nausieda would either write up or sign off on the diagnoses, the vast majority
of which were manganese-induced Parkinson’s. For his work Nausieda has been
paid more than $1 million by the plaintiffs, says Beisner.

“The first crack in the plaintiffs’ case came in December as two suits were
headed for the courtroom in Cleveland. In one case plaintiff Dewey Morgan
admitted in his deposition to lying on his questionnaire, and the other case
was pulled, says Beisner, because plaintiff Scott Landry had a history of
cocaine and alcohol abuse that could account for most of his symptoms.”

Conclusion:  too often “science” is just a business to enrich a small group of
insiders, via fraud, at the public’s expense.

Seldom do individual plaintiffs get much of the damages awarded by juries.
Often they get no more than coupons from the defendant companies to buy
merchandise at a discount.  In my own experience, several times class-action
attorneys sent form letters informing me that I was entitled to a settlement
award in cases that I didn’t know existed.  The settlement amounts coming to me
in all cases were less than $10, but, according to the legal documents
accompanying the letters, the attorneys collected six-figure fees.

Who then benefits from the virulence of the tort-bar’s class-action suits?  The
big winners, in addition to the lawyers, are the liberal-Progressive
politicians, who get most of their financial support from these lawyers and
from the teachers’ and public employees’ labor unions.

And “nobody” is the loser.  After all, the insurance companies pay for it,
don’t they?

It’s obvious to most people who have thought about it seriously, even for a few
minutes, that in fact there are enormous costs to these piratical legal forays
based on junk science.

First, as insurance companies shell out payments on billion-dollar jury awards,
everyone has to pay higher insurance premiums.  But, in liberal-Progressive
land, that’s OK.  It’s just a social-justice transfer of bad, capitalist wealth
from the undeserving rich to the deserving poor. Isn’t that the purpose for
which our forebears wrote the Constitution?

Second, as ever more and larger jury awards are made on trumped-up evidence and
small-town antipathy toward big companies, more and more products are pulled
from the market, or never get to the market.  Not because these products are
bad, but because anyone using them might potentially sue the producers.

Banks fear to lend money to small, start-up companies run by struggling
entrepreneurs; insurance companies won’t insure them.  As fewer such
innovators, shut out by fear of the tort-bar, survive or even start at all, the
United States becomes increasingly dependent upon its old and somnolent
companies that are most vulnerable to foreign competition.  When our
competitiveness is squeezed into desperate attempts to survive only by cost-
cutting, more and more jobs must be outsourced to India and other nations not
yet infected with the virulent tort-bar.

Third, a very large number (probably more than 70) of companies have been
bankrupted by tort-bar class-action suits.  Again, that’s OK by the liberal-
Progressive standards of the ACLU and its collaborators among liberal
Republicans and liberal Democrats.  After all, it’s just Marxian textbook
redistribution of wealth, from corporate fat cats to deserving workers.

But who really pays for the billion-dollar jury awards?  Ultimately it’s
working people, through loss of jobs in the target companies, bankrupt pension
funds, disruption of other companies that supplied the target companies or
bought their products, and the many towns where the target companies’
production and shipping facilities were located.

Abortion is still wrong!

“Justice for the Most Vulnerable”

By Nathan Tabor

As liberals bemoan what they describe as the carnage in Iraq, there is incredible violence going on right here in America, on street corners throughout the nation.  Unfortunately, the victims cannot speak for themselves—therefore, it is up to us to speak out on their behalf.

Partial-birth abortion is perhaps the most gruesome practice known to man.  It involves partly delivering a baby, then jamming his or her head with a pair of scissors so that the skull will collapse and the baby will die. The baby may be as much as ¾ out of the womb when this procedure takes place.  Calling this an abortion is actually a misnomer.  In point of fact, it is infanticide, and it should not be tolerated in the land of the free.

Back in 2003, President George W. Bush signed a law banning this procedure nationwide.  However, the measure has been tied up in the courts, so it is not enforced.  Therefore, there is nothing to prevent partial-birth abortion from taking place in America, any day of the year.

The last stand for partial-birth abortion is the U.S. Supreme Court.  The high court must decide this week or next whether to review a lower court ruling that blocked enforcement of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act.  In the year 2000, five justices of the Supreme Court ruled that, under Roe v. Wade, the original Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, partial-birth abortion can be performed any time that an abortionist sees a health benefit.  This is true, even if the mother and child are actually healthy.  The decision negated a ban on partial-birth abortion that had been enacted in Nebraska.

When President Bush signed the federal ban, he called partial-birth abortion “a terrible form of violence (that) has been directed against children who are inches from birth.” Yet, the most vocal opponents of the war against Iraq never mention this senseless slaughter of innocents within our own borders. Are they so blind that they cannot see the cruelty of killing children who are half-born?

Douglas Johnson, legislative director of National Right to Life, has stated, “In 2000, five justices of the Supreme Court in effect ruled that Roe v. Wade guarantees the right to perform partial-birth abortions at will.  Unless the Court accepts this new case and abandons the extreme position it took in 2000, partly born premature infants will continue to die by having their skulls punctured with seven-inch scissors.”

In the meantime, there are two other legal challenges to the federal ban that remain under review by the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Ninth Circuit.  Virginia has also asked the Supreme Court to review a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, holding that a similar state law contradicts the 2000 Supreme Court decision.

It is high time that the Supreme Court take an uncompromising stand in defense of innocent life.  Why is it that convicted killers routinely receive greater consideration from the Court than unborn babies do?  The justice system in this country is in need of a major overhaul, and real progress will not take place as long as the highest court in the land ignores the rights of our youngest citizens.

In 1973, with Roe, the Supreme Court issued what many consider to be the worst ruling ever.  It ushered in an age when life became cheap, when human rights were trampled, and when millions of women throughout the nation were left grieving for the children they would never hold in their arms.  The slaughter has got to stop.  And the only people who can really put an end to it are those in the black robes.

BOOK REVIEW ...

January 8, 2006

Did You Know? (1st Edition)

By

Rob Hood

Did you know that Hillary Clinton was actually a Republican before she was a Democrat and actually campaigned for Barry Goldwater?

Did you know that a magazine called motive spelled with a lower case mand Hillary’s Methodist youth minister planted the seeds of the radical left into Hillary at an early age. At one time Hillary was a Goldwater Girl. This magazine was very left wing in the 1960s and 1970s and favored Cuba, the Black Panthers, socialism, and radical feminism. It was this magazine given to Hillary by her liberal youth minister that planted the seeds of liberalism in Hillary’s mind.  In 1994, Hillary claimed that she still had every issue that was sent to her. She said this during an interview with Newsweek.

Hillary, though not a lesbian herself, was fascinated by the idea of lesbian relationships.

Hillary did not want to change her name to “Clinton” once married. She wanted to keep her name because she did not want to feel like a “sacrificial spouse” and wanted to keep credentials as a feminist.

These are only a very few of the things not publicly known to many about Hillary Clinton. So where did I get my information. I am so glad you asked.

This is an introduction to future articles on various books I will be reviewing. All of my future book reviews will start like this one. Notice this is the First Edition.

The book that I speak of is called The Truth about Hillary by Edward Klein. This is the book that Hillary does not want you to know about. It contains very informative facts about the history of Hillary and Bill Clinton and how scandal after scandal took place in the White House while they were there.

Bill was constantly having an affair with some other woman. It was not just a Monica thing. This was a normal part of his life and was even doing this before he and Hillary even married. She knew about it all the time. She tried to keep it well hidden from the public, but we all now that sooner or later the truth has to come out.  The things talked about in this book includes campaign finance scandals and illegal contributions time after time, a lesbian/feminist filled White House staff of whom where personal friends of Hillary and some of Bill, and how she tried to cover up Bill’s blunders.

This book is absolutely a great read for anyone wanting to know what the mainstream media don’t want you to know about their prize candidate. Hillary herself even tried to stop this book from getting on the bestseller list and tried to undermine the whole distribution of it, but failed miserably.

I highly recommend Edward Klein’s The Truth about Hillary, available at most online bookstores and most local traditional bookstores.

Paul Harvey says ...

UN Resolution 181 : Blueprint of the Beast?
http://ezinearticles.com/?UN-Resolution-181:-Blueprint-of-the-Beast?&id=97633

Paul Harvey says:

I don’t believe in Santa Claus, but I’m not going to sue
somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I
don’t agree with Darwin, but I didn’t go out and hire a
lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory
of evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be
endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer
before a football game.

So what’s the big deal? It’s not like somebody is up there
reading the entire book of Acts. They’re just talking to a
God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the
players on the field and the fans going home from the game!

But it’s a Christian prayer, some will argue.

Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country
founded on Christian principles. According to our very
own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others
better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect-somebody
chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem,
I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.

If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad,
I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a ping pong match in China,
I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.

And I wouldn’t be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit.
When in Rome

But what about the atheists are another argument.

What about them?

Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We’re not going to
pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If
that’s asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear
plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand.
Call your lawyer!

Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or
two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do.
I don’t think a short prayer at a football game is
going to shake the world’s foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other
cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our
parents and grandparents taught us to pray before
eating; to pray before we go to sleep.

Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a
handful of people and their lawyers are telling us
to cease praying.

God, help us.

And if that last sentence offends you, well … just sue me.

The silent majority has been silent too long. It’s time we
let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard
that the vast majority don’t care what they want. It
is time the majority rules! It’s time we tell them, you don’t
have to pray; you don’t have to say the pledge of allegiance;
you don’t have to believe in God or attend services that
honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your
right. But by golly, you are no longer going to take our
rights away. We are fighting back … and we WILL WIN!

God bless us one and all … especially those who denounce
Him. God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still
the greatest nation of all

God bless our service men who are fighting to protect
our right to pray and worship God.

May 2006 be the year the silent majority is heard
and we put God back as the foundation of our
families and institutions.

Keep looking up.

In Response ...

Proving A Point

by

Rob Hood

IN RESPONSE TO “LIBAERALLORA” :

I recently posted an article on liberalism named “ It’s Still Happening : Liberalism Has Run Amuck” ( http://www.theconservativevoice.com/articles/article.html?id=10821 ) in which I got a negative post and was taken by myself as a challenge. Here goes! Liberallor, are you reading?

Liberallora posted “Your paranoia is just truly amazing. And why is everything a friggin’ war with you people. The day the government spies on you, or the day you are denied a job, or the day you are not allowed to attend church, or the day equal protection of the law is denied to you - all these days will mark a “war on Christianity.” Until then, the war is in your head, and the attacks that Christians are suffering is because their social views and willingness to push those views on the rest of us make their presence so nauseating and intolerable. Wasn’t it Ben Franklin who said that Lighthouses are more useful than churches, and Napoleon who said that Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich?

Please quote for me the section of the Bible where the words “homosexuality is a sin and an abomination before God” appear. Exactly those words. I find it funny that God would create a subclass of humans for us all to hate. Or maybe homos consciously choose to be immoral, and you chose, consciously, to be right and hetero. Therefore, you must remember the day you chose that no? Further, whether you believe it is immoral or wrong is irrelevant to the 14th Amendment that was enacted to prevent just the sort of sh** that you are espousing. If you can prevent two homosexuals from marrying, then you can prevent two Christians from marrying. And isn’t funny how you perceive to be under attack while you wage a full scale war against people who want nothing more than the civil right to marry the person of their choice? People like you give religion a bad name.”

MY RESPONSE :

Read the Bible! “Do not lie with a man as a woman lies with a man. That is detestable.” Leviticus 18:22

If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood is on their heads.” Leviticus 20:13

I may not want the death penalty used in a case like this, but these are the words used BY God spoken to Moses. Question Him, not me. He said it, not me! I just follow it!

If this is not enough, read the whole story about WHY Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed in Genesis 19:1-29.

It is absolutely forbidden for man to marry another man. God created ( this all goes back to creation, not evolution ) a WOMAN for Adam because he was lonely, not another man. As the saying goes, “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”.

Fellow conservatives, this is another great example of why liberals cannot accept creation as fact. it simply undermines their agenda to secularize America. They know that if creation was real, then the rest of the Bible is real too and they do not want to obey a higher authority. All arguments about religion from the left’s point of view can be traced back to the fact that they criticize creation to personalize the validity of their own secular arguments.

Furthermore, yes, people do choose to live as homosexuals either willingly or subconsciously. It is sin. No God did not create homosexuality. That was an invention of Satan. It was man who failed God remember? No one is born gay and don’t dare give me that American Psychological Association bunch of biased non-sense. Gay and lesbian is a byproduct of sin started in the Garden of Eden ( see, it goes back to creation ).There may be influences in younger life that may eventually persuade someone’s character to be like this, but no one is born that way. that is deception in the highest order and should not even be allowed to be mentioned in a church. That’s like saying someone was born a rapist or a robber. No way. They chose that lifestyle of their own free will.

The 14th Amendment has nothing to do with what I believe personally. How can you as a liberal quote me the 14th Amendment when you persecute me for quoting the Second Amendment? See the hypocrisy? My God is higher than any Earthly law. My God created Earthly law. It was called the Ten Commandments, but you persecute them as well. Where do you think laws of the world originated?

I don’t believe in religion. I believe in Christianity which is a great difference, liberallora. Religion is man reaching up to God hoping for salvation. Christianity is God reaching down to man and offering salvation. Liberalism has no place in Christianity. It is not negotiable. Either you believe what the Bible says and follow it or you don’t. There is no central position. That is why we call it FAITH.

I hope I cleared things up! If this explanation didn’t clear things up, maybe we’ll have another discussion.

The Left at it again ...

Labor Union Thug Tactics on the Internet

By Thomas E. Brewton

The IWW, which still exists as a malevolent economic and political force,
continues to use the bludgeoning tactics against its opponents that brought it
notoriety in the early 1900s.

-------------------
Some individual Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) sympathizers have threatened, or wished upon me, financial ruin via IWW legal action for my alleged libel against the IWW.  The IWW website carries a post that demands a full retraction of what I had to say about the IWW in IWW Ð Organized Crime in the Labor Market and More IWW Violence.

Anyone who actually reads what I wrote will discover that most of what I had to
say about the IWW came from the IWW itself: from its constitution or from
documents published by the IWW.  The remainder came from websites referenced on
an American IWW website, from books written in the 1930s by liberal-
Progressives who supported labor unions including the IWW, or from a University
of Missouri website.  In short, everything that I wrote came from the public
record.

It’s interesting that liberal-Progressive socialists invariably use the term
“hysterical” to describe views to which they object.  From the start, before
World War I and in the 1920s, whenever anyone denounced the efforts of the ACLU
(a strong IWW backer) and its allies to sabotage American military
preparations, liberal-Progressives shrieked “hysterical Red scare.”

Is there perhaps a liberal gene that predisposes them to this knee-jerk usage?

It’s also surprising that feminist groups haven’t battered them about sexual
discrimination.  Hysteria is defined as “exaggerated or uncontrollable emotion
or excitement, esp. among a group of people; the term has a controversial
history as it was formerly regarded as a disease specific to women.” The root
is the Greek word meaning suffering in the uterus, i.e., the presumed natural
disposition of women to fainting spells.

The following is the text of the IWW implied threat:

Response to Hysterical Right Wing Blogger Thomas Brewton

Recently, Thomas Brewton, an ultra rightist blogger, published a hysterical
screed accusing the IWW (and most American business unions for that matter) of
the usual bogeymen that hysterical right wingers find under every bed (i.e.
“Communism”, “Bolshevism”, “Terrorism”, “Anti-Americanism”, etc).Ê
Brewton’s daitribe can be read in its entireity here:Ê http://www.americandaily.com/article/10974
Lumped in with these usual over the top nonsensical fantasies were blatantly
false accusations of “organized crime” by the IWW.Ê These accusations are
completely groundless.Ê Here is the a response to these misconceptions and
lies:

Sir:

Your article, “The I.W.W.--Organized Crime in the Labor Market” has come to the
attention of the General Executive Board.Ê We will not waste time disputing
your naive and bigoted opinions, or your fallacious statements about the labor
struggle in general.Ê Our concern is with your misrepresentations of the
history and aims of this organization, and your libellous accusation that the
Industrial Workers of the World is or has been engaged in organized crime.
The former can be disposed of without much effort.Ê Your article charges the I.
W. W. with seeking the violent overthrow of the United States government, or to
seize control over it.Ê The I. W. W. has never advocated the overthrow of any
government except the tyrannical government of industry by unelected
capitalists, and it has never advocated violence in any form.Ê Our goal is not
to overthrow or control political government, but to make it irrelevant by
placing the administration of production in the hands of the workers who
operate industry.Ê If it would leave us alone, political government would be of
no concern to us.

Your article charges the I. W. W. with violence in four cases:Ê the murder of
Frank Steunenberg, the McKees Rocks Strike, the Everett massacre, and the
deaths of John Morrison and his son, for which Joe Hill was executed.
Steunenberg was murdered by a police agent and confessed murderer known as
Harry Orchard, who implicated officers of the Western Federation of Miners in
exchange for leniency from a prosecutor bought and paid for by the mining
interests of Idaho.Ê The officers, Haywood, Moyer, and Pettibone, were
kidnapped in Colorado by Idaho authorities and illegally taken across State
lines to stand trial for the killing.Ê Two separate juries acquitted Haywood
and Pettibone, and the charges against Moyer were dropped. Any person who
believes in the United States Constitution and the principles of liberty, as
you claim to do, must acknowledge that acquittal by a jury is a complete
exoneration.

At McKees Rocks, the threat to kill a Pennsylvania Cossack for every worker
killed by them was a matter of self-defense, and came in response to the
unprovoked shooting of a worker by one of the Cossacks--well-known at the time
as the most violent and oppressive of the State police forces.Ê The threat
came, not from the I. W. W., but from the “Unknown Committee”, a secret group
of strikers organized before the I. W. W. became involved in the strike and
never controlled by the I. W. W.Ê Moreover, the threat was never carried out.Ê
Three police officers were later killed, along with four workers, in a shoot-
out with strikers, which had been provoked by the violence of the police.Ê Some
seventy-six persons, mostly strikers, were wounded.Ê Nobody who knew anything
about the case has ever claimed that the strikers killed anybody in revenge.Ê
What is indisputably true, and attested by numerous witnesses, is that the I.
W. W.’s organizers consistently urged the strikers not to use violence.
Your description of the Everett massacre is so far divorced from fact that we
would be unable to recognize the incident if you had not named the town.Ê The
“existing law” you refer to was an unconstitutional prohibition on the rights
of free speech and assembly--rights the revolutionaries of 1776 fought and died
to secure for us.Ê Business owners in Everett, angry that workers had dared to
oppose their tyranny, hired armed thugs to raid the I. W. W. hall.Ê These
forced forty-one union members to run a gauntlet of whips and axe-handles,
causing them severe and sometimes permanent injuries.Ê When the workers called
for a rally in protest against this violence, the business owners’ stooge,
Sheriff Don McRae, declared that free speech and assembly would not be allowed
in Everett.Ê A ferry bearing I. W. W. members from Seattle arrived at the dock
and was met by a mob of vigilantes whom the sheriff had deputized and armed.
Even hostile accounts admit that the deaths of two of these thugs were caused
by members of the same mob, the drunken sheriff having arrayed his men so that
they stood in one another’s line of fire.Ê The non-union-members whose deaths
you mentioned were passengers aboard the ferry, murdered by the “respectable
citizens” of Everett, not by the I. W. W.
As for Joe Hill, most of the evidence has been “lost” by the Utah authorities,
so it is impossible to prove the truth of the case.Ê The best studies, however,
indicate that Hill was most likely framed in order to cover up an embarassing
revenge-killing, probably committed by some of John Morrison’s former comrades
on the Salt Lake City police force.Ê In any event, even if Hill had been guilty
of the killings, the incident cannot serve as evidence of I. W. W. policies or
methods:Ê other than yourself, nobody, not even the prosecution in the case,
has suggested that the killings themselves had anything to do with the I. W.
W.
Your other accusation is a more serious matter, and cannot be put down to
simple ignorance or bigotry.Ê The ugly history of mafia involvement in the (pro-
capitalist) labor unions of the A. F. of L. and C. I. O. makes any accusation
of “organized crime” on the part of a labor organization a very grave charge
indeed.Ê Such an accusation in an open forum such as yours, which has now been
republished by over a dozen web sites, is damaging to our organization’s
reputation, and must be dealt with decisively.

We accordingly demand that you immediately publish a categorical retraction of
that accusation, as prominently as you published the accusation itself, and
that you require all persons who have reproduced the accusation to withdraw it
and to publish your retraction with equal prominence.

Jesus and Dawin Parts 3 & 4

"Jesus vs. Darwin,” Points 3 and 4

By Thomas E. Brewton

Evolutionists assert that there is no God and nominate themselves to play the
role of gods.  They neglect, however, to provide for creation of the world that
they presume to rule.

-------------------
This post continues the debate covered to date in Evolutionists For Stalin and "Jesus vs. Darwin.” Points 1 and 2.

Adam Leigland’s critique appeared on his website The Hammer of Judgement.

MR. LEIGLAND:

3. You say “If Darwinians are correct, the universe just “is” and always has
been in existence by virtue of some unknowable accident.” In reality, most
scientist think that the universe was born about 15 billion years ago, not that
it “has always been.” I won’t spend a lot of time on the origins of the
universe, other than to say that the evidence supporting the current theories
is far from circumstantial (cosmic background radiation, the Hubble blue shift,
and results of stellar chromospectroscopy are three examples of hard, direct
evidence).

MY RESPONSE:

There may theological, doctrinal considerations that militate against the Big
Bang theory.  But I am prepared to accept it, though not necessarily the time
of creation you mention.  Physicists, using Einstein’s theory of relativity,
have demonstrated that the the unimaginably concentrated mass of the universe
at the instant of the Big Bang would have slowed time so drastically that the
present general contours of the universe could have emerged in only seven
days.

In any case, if the universe came into existence in the twinkling of an eye,
complete with all laws of mathematics, physics, and chemistry, that is simply
an awesome display of God’s power.  And the Big Bang theory requires a pre-
existing God to supply the laws of science which controlled the expansion and
conformation of the universe from the first nano-second of its existence.

The student anarchists of the 1960s who are today’s evolutionists and radical
socialist educators, assume that, with the tremendous strides in the physical
sciences, all religious and moral concepts were long ago outmoded.  Knowing
nothing about the thinking of Plato, Aristotle, and the medieval scholastic
philosophers, Boomers write them off as hopelessly ignorant, simply because our
society takes for granted that the newest is always the best and most
desirable.

In fact, however, todayÕs scientists in astronomy and sub-atomic particle
physics can get no farther than an understanding that there are certain
fundamental forces to which all the observable universe conforms, all
originating presumably in the Big Bang.  They are thus at exactly the point,
and no further, at which Plato and Aristotle arrived 2,500 years before
them.

Aristotle noted that, whatever explanations may be advanced for the structure
and motions of the earth and the cosmos, ultimately at the end of the chain of
causes and explanations there must be what he termed the Unmoved Mover, i.e.,
God, or metaphysical Being itself.  Let the physicists explain with
mathematical precision how the known universe expanded, millisecond by
millisecond, from the Big Bang, but they will have no inkling about Who lit the
fuse for that cataclysmic beginning, nor how the rules governing the behavior
of energy and matter came into being.

In the Bible one finds a profound, symbolic conception of knowledge and
wisdom.  In the Old Testament, in Exodus 3, Moses encounters a bush in the
desert that is burning, but is not consumed by the flames.  The voice of God
says to Moses from the burning bush, ÒI AM that I AM,Ó i.e., God is Being
itself, neither becoming nor passing away.  Similarly in the New Testament, the
Book of John opens with the very Greek philosophical formulation that, ÒIn the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.Ó In
the original Greek text, Word is Logos, which means Reason, Truth, or Wisdom,
the cosmic source of order, the summum bonum of Plato and Aristotle, and the
objective of philosophy.

Present-day scientists have more accurate descriptions of the mechanical
processes of nature than did the ancients, but that is of no help at all in
understanding the ultimate nature of the universe, nor of the nature and role
of human existence in political societies.

One may describe a great symphony or work of art in minute detail, even
reducing a specific composition to exact mathematical measurements and formulae
for the relationship of elements within the work of art, but that puts the
observer not one whit closer to an actual understanding of the mind and spirit
who produced them.  The scientific approach to matters of spiritual nature
amounts to no more than painting-by-the-numbers.  Truly to comprehend an
artistic work in the most profound sense, one would have to become the artist.
Truly to understand the universe, one would have to become God.

Presumption to that power and status is the sin that the Greeks called hubris,
the sin that is symbolically depicted in the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the
Garden of Eden.  It is this ultimate knowledge and power to which the
philosophers of the 1789 French Revolution and today’s atheistic evolutionists
lay claim.  To conjure up a sense of the unfathomable depths of their ignorance
and the towering height of their presumptuousness, envision a tiny pebble at
the bottom of a valley approaching the Himalayas, looking upward to the
majestic heights of Mt. Everest and proclaiming, ÒI understand the process of
erosion which is slowly breaking you down.  Therefore I am your Master, and
you will obey ME!Ó

MR. LEIGLAND:

4. You conflate “chance” with “accident.” Something happening “by chance” is
not the same thing as something happening “by accident.” Chance means that
there is a probability, however small, that something might happen. If you win
the lottery, you don’t win it by accident, you win it by chance. Let’s
reexamine the football game analogy. In the old days, extra points were drop-
kicked. Then one day, as you explain, “By accident someone kicked a ball while
it was held by another player. As this proved to be more consistently
effective, natural selection decreed that the latter practice survive.” Now,
imagine this scenario: The kicker is randomly kicking. The football is randomly
bouncing. A second player is randomly grasping for the ball. One day, all three
random factors successfully but improbably converge, and the current practice
of holding the football is born. Sounds silly, but that’s what you would have
us believe. In reality, the inherent properties of football and football
players introduce the possibility, maybe even likelihood, that such a change to
kicking may occur, and after a sufficiently large number of football games, the
change does occur. Similarly, the inherent properties of carbon, such as its
electron valence structure, make the eventual appearance of molecules that
catalyze their own production (which is what DNA is, after all) possible, not
by accident, but by chance.

MY RESPONSE:

With regard to your distinction between ‘chance’ and ‘accident,’ I’m not sure
what that buys you.  Perhaps there is a meaningful difference in recondite
scientific terminology. However, few people would doubt that there is always a
chance, a measurable probability, of an accident occurring.

In ordinary English usage the two words are used interchangeably. Roget’s
Thesaurus of the English Language lists the following synonyms:

Accident (first three synonyms are fortune, haphazard, luck or chance)

Chance (the first synonym is accident).

Since you have introduced the characteristic of chance, let’s note that the
chances, or probabilities, are effectively zero that the original life form
assumed by Darwin and expressly postulated by biologists including Julian
Huxley and Richard Dawkins, came into being without Divine intervention in the
guise of Intelligent Design.

British astronomer Sir Bernard Lovell, in his 1979 “In the Centre of
Immensities” wrote:

“The operation of pure chance would mean that within half a billion years the
organic molecules in the primeval seas might have to undergo 10 to the 50th
power (one followed by 50 zeroes) trial assemblies in order to hit upon the
correct sequence.  The possibility of such a chance occurrence leading to the
formation of one of the smallest protein molecules is unimaginably small.
Within the boundary conditions of time and space we are considering it is
effectively zero.”

Sir Fred Hoyle, English astronomer and cosmologist, did groundbreaking
theoretical work on the structure of stars and the origin of chemical elements
in stars.  He wrote:

“Anyone with even a nodding acquaintance with the Rubik cube will concede the
near impossibility of a solution being obtained by a blind person moving the
cube at random.  Now imagine 10 to the 50th power blind persons (standing
shoulder to shoulder, these would more than fill our entire planetary system)
each with a scrambled Rubik cube and try to conceive of the chance of them all
simultaneously arriving at the solved form.  You then have the chance of
arriving by random shuffling (random variation) of just one of the many
bipolymers on which life depends.  The notion that not only the bipolymers but
the operating program of a living cell could be arrived at by chance in a
primordial soup here on Earth is evidently nonsense of a high order.  Life must
plainly be a cosmic phenomenon.”

You state that,"Similarly, the inherent properties of carbon, such as its
electron valence structure, make the eventual appearance of molecules that
catalyze their own production (which is what DNA is, after all) possible, not
by accident, but by chance.”

The assessment of John DeMassa, a professional research chemist who holds a PhD
in chemistry, was:

“Your friend assumes that because carbon can couple with itself (catenation)
this property by some alchemy with which I’m unfamiliar, makes deoxyribonucleic
acid possible.ÊÊÊIt is true thatÊcarbon catenation is necessary to form high
polymers and complex organic compounds-we agree here with your friend.Ê Indeed
carbon can couple with itself great-sized molecules, but DNA is a highly
complex macromolecule with phosphorus-oxygen, carbon-oxygen, oxygen-hydrogen,
carbon-carbon, carbon-nitrogen, nitrogen-hydrogen bonds-and others.Ê It is not
held together by C-C bonds alone.Ê No chemist would say that the “electron
valence structure make(s) the eventual appearance of (replicators such as) DNA
possible...by chance."Ê It may be, according to the naturalists, that part of
the “recipe"Êof replicator formation involves carbon self-bonding butÊit
certainly is not the whole recipe.Ê It is a necessary condition but not
sufficient.Ê Oxygen, phosphorous, hydrogen and nitrogen need to do their parts
in the molecule, in just the right places and proportions for the whole thing
to hold together.Ê Your friend overlooks the contributions and delicate
chemistry of these elements.Ê
Ê
The position often advanced is that a proper stew of compounds in the earth’s
atmospheric-ocean system availableÊthrough solar-nebulae accretion or
micrometeorites or volcanoes or meteorites or cometsÊmixed and turned for 10’s
to 100’s of millions of years and produced the first cell-but the chemistry is
unknown and certainlyÊis not based on the lone property of catenation (C-C self
bonding).ÊÊYour friend significantly errs because DNAÊdoes not contain an
olefinic backbone like polyethylene butÊa phosphate-sugar backbone.Ê In short
the polymer for DNA has a MIXED atomic backbone-it is in some sense
heteroatomic (many different atoms)Ênot homoatomic (same-kind or one-kindÊof
atom).Ê
ÊÊÊÊ
I’ll leave it to you to argue with Dr. DeMassa.

Nathan Tabor:  Columnist, Candidate, and True Conservative

Who is Nathan Tabor?  Nationally, Nathan is known for his conservative political commentary and radio broadcasts.  The Washington Times, Townhall.com, Human Events, and NewsMax have all published his work.  And courtesy of American Family Radio*part of the American Family Association*the radio spots from Nathan’s AConservativeMoment.com are heard on over 250 stations nationwide.

In his home state of North Carolina, Nathan is known as a self-made, small businessman who ran for congress.  In an eight-way primary*one of the most expensive in American history*Nathan raised over $850,000 and received over 7,500 votes.

Great reputation?  Yes.  But who is Nathan Tabor?  Not satisfied with taking advantage of existing venues for conservative speech and activism, Nathan founded TheConservativeVoice.com.  The site has been noted by Rush Limbaugh and features up-to-the-minute news and opinion from more than 100 popular columnists.  It boasts a listing of 150,000 e-mails.  And after less than a year, TheConservativeVoice.com gets over 250,000 unique visitors per month.

Technologically savvy, Nathan recognizes the growing importance of the internet.  MoveOn.org and its ilk must be countered by a stronger, grassroots movement on the Right.  To facilitate the campaigns of his fellow conservative columnists, candidates and activists, Nathan provides free websites via ActMediaInc.com.  The North Carolina Republican Party has recognized the groundbreaking nature of Nathan’s offering.  And in a communiqué to his County Party Chairmen, the NCGOP communications director, Kevin Howell, had this to say:

“Last year, more than 75 million Americans looked to the Internet for information about political parties and candidates.  It is my desire for every county party to have an up-to-date website that you can utilize to recruit new members, spread the Republican message, advertise events, and keep your members informed.  You can now have a professional website for free! The only cost to you will be $10 a year to register your domain name. Having a website is essential in today’s political climate.  Nathan Tabor, who founded TheConservativeVoice.com, is offering this fantastic deal. Through Nathan, you will receive an easily-customizable website template, a website host, and web-based e-mail access.  You will not find a better deal than this!”

This same “fantastic deal” is available to any conservative activist or group from across the country.  If you need a site to rally the troops or start a campaign, Nathan is there to help.

Cutting edge and accomplished?  Yes.  But who is Nathan Tabor?  Coming off a strong showing in a tough primary that included national figures, political legacies and multimillionaires, Nathan has not given up on politics.  Regardless of the personal cost, he has not given up on making a difference for North Carolina, and the nation.  State Sen. Ham Horton (R-N.C.)*a local conservative legend in his own right*is retiring for health reasons after a long and distinguished career in Raleigh.  Days after the senator announced his plans for retirement, the Winston-Salem Journal speculated on the possibility of Nathan’s candidacy.  Shortly after Christmas, Nathan threw his hat in the ring and launched TaborForSenate.com.

North Carolina is an overwhelmingly conservative state that reelected President Bush by a 13% margin and boasts two Republican U.S. Senators.  However, Democrats have ingeniously protected their lock on state government through highly questionable*and arguably illegal*redistricting and uses of tax dollars.  While Republican candidates for state legislature consistently garner*in total*a majority of the votes cast, thanks to clever redistricting, the Democrats maintain a thin majority in both the House and Senate.  In addition, many “Republicans,” like the infamous Speaker Pro-Tem Richard Morgan, choose to vote with the Democrats against their own Party.

The state legislature of North Carolina needs strong, conservative leaders to keep the Republicans voting Republican.  And it needs strong candidates to help retake the majority.  Nathan fits both bills.

For my part, I strongly endorse Nathan Tabor for Senate.  And I would encourage all of my friends in the political community*candidates, columnists and College Republicans alike*to support Nathan’s efforts.

Right for Senate?  Yes.  But who is Nathan Tabor?  Nathan is a Christian.  Nathan is a conservative.  And Nathan is a loving father and family man.

He’s lived the American dream.  And Nathan is fighting to ensure the same is possible for his daughter, and yours.

Nathan, I wish you the best.  Good luck and God bless.

The Intelligent Design debates goes on ...

"Jesus vs. Darwin,” Points 1 and 2

By Thomas E. Brewton

Evolutionists cling to their atheistic and materialistic religion, because it
makes them feel self-important and powerful to deny the existence of God.

-------------------
In an earlier posting I answered point No. 5 in Adam Leigland’s critique, which can be found on his website The Hammer of Judgement.

The following are my responses to his points No. 1 and 2; I will address his
other points in future postings.

MR. LEIGLAND:

1. First, you mischaracterize the nature of my disagreement. I did not, as you
claim, disagree with your assertion about Newton’s fundamental postulate. I
disagreed with your statement that Intelligent Design is incontrovertibly true
while scientific orthodoxy “backfires.”

MY RESPONSE:

Point taken.

In the same vein of mischaracterization, however, I did not write that
“scientific orthodoxy” backfires, rather that “atheistic secularism”
backfires.  The full statement was “It is easier for such ÒscientistsÓ to rely
on an unprovable belief in atheistic secularism, which backfires at every turn
in the real world, while ignoring the incontrovertible evidence that
Intelligent Design suffuses every aspect of the universe, of life, and our
perception of it.”

No one looking at the historical record can, with a straight face, deny that
the atheistic secularism of socialism has fared poorly, politically and
economically, when compared to societies that teach their youth individual
responsibility for moral conduct and couple that responsibility with individual
economic freedom.  Even the badly maimed free-market economies of England and
the United States have left the secular and materialistic world of socialism in
the dust.

With regard to your use of the term scientific orthodoxy, there is a vast gulf
between the physical sciences such as chemistry and physics, and the laws of
mathematics, on one side, and on the other, the social and soft “sciences” such
as evolution.  Scientific orthodoxy characterizes the former, but not the
latter, if one defines scientific orthodoxy as scrupulously honest recording of
data and experimental results, drawing conclusions from those data, and
submitting them to other scientists for replication and verification.

In the scientific orthodoxy of physical sciences like chemistry, chemists can
make pretty good guesses about the properties of untried chemical
combinations.  And they have found chemical elements previously unknown, but
predicted accurately from gaps in the periodic table.

Evolutionists cannot, like chemists, look at gaps in the theoretical tree of
evolutionary life and predict the exact nature of “missing” evolutionary
branches.  Evolutionists can’t even agree whether there are “missing”
branches, or which branches connect to others, if at all.  Evolutionists
fighting about the tree of life are like Little Black Sambo’s tigers chasing
each other around the palm tree.

Ernst Haeckel, the inventor of the tree of life diagram, predicted simple life
forms which he called monera.  These have never been discovered, but that
didn’t keep evolutionists from dredging up bits of inorganic gypsum from the
North Sea and declaring to the public that they were fossilized monera.  If the
evolutionary data don’t exist, just make up something and declare it to be
scientific truth.

No conclusions in Darwinian or other schools of evolutionary doctrine can be
tested or disproved by the methods of scientific orthodoxy.  A good analogy is
to imagine a jigsaw puzzle that initially had 100 million pieces, from which
only 100 pieces, randomly selected, are available; then to ask scientists to
guess what the full picture showed with all the pieces available.

Darwin and his 19th century colleagues, metaphorically surveying the puzzle
pieces, started with an atheistic preconception that the missing pieces, if
ever found, would conform to no overall design, because each of the available
100 pieces had apparently random differences from all the other pieces.  From
this they concluded that there never was an original puzzle that depicted an
ordered and coherent aesthetic design.  Instead, they declared, there had been
only one puzzle piece initially, the other 99 pieces having evolved by chance
from the original piece.  There is, of course, absolutely no way to prove that,
but evolutionists are willing to believe it, because denying the existence of
God makes them feel self-important and powerful.

Believers in evolution are actually in the contradictory position of holding
that there is no design to the whole of the world, but that there are design
patterns, by chance, among its biological constituents.

Intelligent Design advocates look at the puzzle pieces and note that they form
certain patterns, that some of them fit together perfectly, others not at all,
but all are nicely covered by various colored designs.  From this they conclude
that the pieces are parts of something of much larger scope that had to have
been designed and made by someone or something at an earlier time.

MR. LEIGLAND:

2. You make the common mistake of lumping current theories of cosmology,
biology, and anthropology into one philosophy called “Darwinism.” Darwin wrote
exclusively about the evolution of life and avoided the topic of the origins of
life. He definitely did not address the origins and evolution of the universe.
Cosmology, biology, and anthropology all share the idea of change over time,
but that is about all they share. To group them together is disingenuous or
misinformed. You also assume that what Darwin wrote in 1859 represents that
current state of the field. But 146 years have passed since then, with
concomitant improvements in thinking.

MY RESPONSE:

I use the term Darwinism to encompass all of the various warring camps within
the field of evolutionary biology, such as:

- The original Darwinian hypothesis (that minute variations could be amplified
via successive breeding or hybridization over infinitely long time periods;
Darwin’s own experience with breeding pigeons Ð which he glossed over in his
public writings Ð showed, to the contrary, that the results were always
reversion to the original species characteristics, because there is an inherent
limit to differences effected by cross-breeding).

- The neo-Darwinian synthesis of Julian Huxley (placing its bets on random and
cumulative genetic mutation).

- Punctuated equilibria advocated by Gould and Eldredge (the vast numbers of
irreconcilable gaps in fossil remains, where millions of intermediate species
gradations were predicted but not found, could be accounted for by sudden very
great leaps in genetic mutation affecting many different species’
characteristics at one time, over vast geographic areas simultaneously.  This,
of course, is barely distinguishable from Divine creation of new species.)

- The Richard Dawkins DNA / RNA school (evolution takes place at the
information level, not the physical level alone; every individual’s DNA is a
history of all genetic changes since the hypothetical original life form from
which all plants and animals theoretically descended).

The vitriolic fights among these warring camps are well known within the
biology community, but either unknown or ignored by secular media and textbook
writers.  The only thing that evolutionists have “proved” is that there is no
hypothesis of evolution that can conform to all the known facts.  There being
no unifying hypothesis for the congeries of doctrinal dispute, evolutionists
seek solace in their religion of atheism and take it on blind faith that Darwin
spoke the revealed truth.  Heretics who question the great god Darwin must be
excommunicated from education and public discourse.

Far from steady progress implied by your “146 years” of “concomitant
improvements in thinking,” what has taken place is a series of yawning chasms
opening up among evolutionary biologists, with the rapid increase in numbers of
inconsistencies that cannot be explained by evolutionary theory.

In the antithesis of scientific, open-minded inquiry, this internal warfare is
concealed from the general public, especially from young students, who are told
blandly that all the world’s scientists unequivocally accept Darwin’s
hypothesis of evolution via natural selection.  The guild of evolutionary
theorists has worked effectively to stifle any mention of the vast numbers of
discrepancies that cannot be explained by evolutions.

This is simply a continuation of the precedent set by the under-handed deal
concocted by Darwin, Charles Lyell, and Joseph Hooker, in what they called “the
delicate arrangement” to introduce into the record earlier letters from Darwin
that hinted at his general work, but before he had arrived at the idea of
natural selection, the intent being to establish a phony record implying that
Darwin had actually reached his 1859 conclusions before the submission of
Alfred Wallace’s “Ternate” paper in 1855.  Lyell and Hooker arranged to
publish Darwin’s hastily written “abstract” as he styled “On the Origin,” and
present it to the public before the Linnean Society became aware of Alfred
Wallace’s work.  Wallace had in reality both anticipated all that Darwin had
to say, and done it four years before Darwin’s “On the Origin.”

I must also disagree with your statement that “Darwin wrote exclusively about
the evolution of life and avoided the topic of the origins of life. He
definitely did not address the origins and evolution of the universe.”

Darwin, like his father before him, was careful to conceal from the public his
atheistic leanings, which were the impetus for his whole work on evolution. His
friend Charles Lyell also counseled him not to attack Christianity head-on, but
to undermine it indirectly, as that would facilitate a wider public acceptance
of his views.

Inescapably, however, if one promotes an atheistic, secular view, he is
aligning himself with the view that life originated spontaneously from random
combinations of chemicals under random environmental conditions, and he is
denying the existence of a Supreme Being Whose act of existing IS the universe
as we perceive it.

In Chapter One of the 1st edition of “The Descent of Man,” Darwin wrote: “If I
have erred in giving to natural selection great power, which I am far from
admitting, or in having exaggerated its power, which is in itself probable, I
have at least, as I hope, done good service in aiding to overthrow the dogma of
separate creations.” Believing that the laws of nature and science, as we know
them, are themselves random phenomena with no assignable origin is straight-
down-the-middle-of-the-pike atheism.

As for your statement, “Cosmology, biology, and anthropology all share the idea
of change over time, but that is about all they share. To group them together
is disingenuous or misinformed,” do you mean that each branch of science is a
watertight compartment and that scientists in one are obliged to ignore finding
in the others?  That is, in fact, what evolutionists do.

For example, the “primordial soup” hypothesis for the origin of life entirely
by chance, proposed by the atheistic Soviet biochemist A. I. Oparin in 1924,
requires that there be no free oxygen in the atmosphere, otherwise the
postulated sequential combinations of chemicals would screech to a halt as
oxygen, in effect, would “rust” the process.  Geologists, unfortunately for the
evolutionists, since then have found clear evidence in ancient rocks that there
were significant amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere at the postulated time of
the “primordial soup.”

Needless to say, the science sections of the liberal media have not reported
this and evolutionists ignore it, continuing to speak hopefully of prospects
that somehow, some way they will, like Dr. Frankenstein, succeed in suffusing
inorganic matter with life.

BEWARE !

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the
United States, especially in the minority races!

Allah or Jesus?  by Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that’s required for
maintaining my state prison security clearance.  During the training
session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman
Catholic Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief
systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete
with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked,

“Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that most Imams and
clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world.  And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to
all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven.  If that’s the case,
\ can you give me the definition of an infidel?”

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation, he
replied, “Non-believers!”

I responded, “So, let me make sure I have this straight.  All followers
of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so
they can go to Heaven.  Is that correct?”

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command
to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie
jar.

He sheepishly replied, “Yes.”

I then stated, “Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine
Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley
ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!”

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, “I also have a problem with being your friend when you
and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me.  Let me ask you a
question.  Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in
order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am
going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?”

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the ‘Diversification’
training seminar were not happy with Rick’s way of dealing with the Islamic,
Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim’s beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with
the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way
this will be widely publicized.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known
leader in prison ministry.

Where did Evil Come from?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge HIm, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

-----

Who Created Evil?

As you read this, I challenge you to really let it’s meaning sink in. This
eloquently answers one of the profound questions of life.

Did God Create Evil?

The university professor challenged his students with this question:

“Did God create everything that exists? “

A student bravely replied “Yes, he did!”

“God created everything?” the professor asked.

“Yes sir,” the student replied.

The professor answered, “If God created everything, then God created evil
since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who
we are, then God is evil.”

The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students
that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, “Can I ask you a question
professor?”

“Of course,” replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, “Professor , does cold exist?”

The professor replied “Of course it exists Have you never been cold?”

The students snickered at the young man’s question.

The young man replied, “In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the
laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat.

Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy,
and heat is what makes a body, or matter, have or transmit energy. Absolute
zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat. Cold does not exist. We
have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.

The student continued “Professor, does darkness exist?”

The professor responded, “Of course it does.”

The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir. Darkness does not exist
either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light, we can study,
but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton’s prism to break white light
into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot
measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness
and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure
the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by
man to describe what happens when there is no light present.”

Finally the young man asked the professor. “Sir, does evil exist?”

Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course , as I have already said.
We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man’s inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These
manifestations are nothing else but evil.”

To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does
not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like
darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of
God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does
not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when
there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

The professor sat down.

The young man’s name --- Albert Einstein

May today there be peace within you. May you trust your God that you are
exactly where you are meant to be.

The Socialist empire

The (Socialist) Empire Strikes

By Thomas E. Brewton

New York, known as the Empire State, is more aptly named the Socialist Empire.
If we needed a reminder, it was the Christmas-time strike of the Transport
Workers Union that shut down New York City subway and bus lines, costing
merchants an estimated several hundred million dollars of lost sales in the
year’s busiest retail season.

-------------------

New York City’s Christmas-time subway strike illustrates two basic aspects of
radical unionism.

First, these unions have their roots in anarchism, socialism, and in communism,
the revolutionary sect of socialism.  Unions such as the Transport Workers
Union (TWU), teachers unions, and other public employee unions are genealogical
descendants of the violently radical Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) and
therefore have no compunctions about causing illegal, massive distress to the
public, which is innocent of any purported injustices to the workers.

The genealogy of the TWU begins with the violent practices of the IWW and one of its original constituents, the Western Federation of Miners (WFM), regarding which, see IWW Ð Organized Crime in the Labor Market and More IWW Violence.

Franklin Roosevelt’s election to the presidency in 1932 and subsequent passage
of the National Industrial Recovery Act and the Wagner labor act gave the
radical industrial unions a big boost.  Organizing industry-wide unions of non-
skilled workers became legally protected and directly aided by Federal
authorities.  The largest of these, set up in 1934 within the crafts unions of
the American Federation of Labor (AFL), was the Congress of Industrial
Organizations (CIO).  John Sheridan, head of the old IWW’s Western Federation
of Miners (its name changed by then to International Union of Mine, Mill, and
Smelter Workers) was one of the CIO’s original organizers.  In 1937, the CIO
split from the AFL and became a separate union group.

The TWU, that same year, joined the CIO.  Its most important founder, and its
head until his death in 1966, was Mike Quill, who was closely involved with the
Communist Party USA until 1948.  Quill claimed to have been an operative in the
IRA terrorist organization in his native Ireland.  His TWU tactics and attitude
toward elected officials and the general public gave credibility to that
claim.

Second, by propagandizing public opinion and manipulating politicians with
their financial and other support, these radical, public employee unions
subvert the indirect representational government established by the
Constitution.  Liberal-Progressive theorists assert that laws can be changed
and the Constitution amended, without regard to the Constitutionally-mandated
procedures, merely by manipulating public opinion.  Radical unions have been
among the most powerful forces influencing public opinion.

A no-longer-remembered fact is that, in the 1944 election, Franklin Roosevelt’s
opponent Thomas E. Dewey got half a million more votes in New York on the
Republican line than FDR got on the Democratic line.  FDR’s slender margin of
victory in New York came from Earl Browder’s American Communist Party and from
Sidney Hillman’s American Labor Party.  Hillman was also the founder and long-
time head of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers.  During the 1920s he too had
actively supported revolutionary actions in the Soviet Union and had been
acclaimed by the American Communist Party.

When President Roosevelt was too sick to appear at the Democratic Party
nominating convention in 1944, shortly before his death, party leaders asked
who should be tapped for the Vice Presidency.  FDR’s reply was “clear it with
Sidney [Hillman].” That is, under the socialist state-planning of FDR’s New
Deal, a radical labor leader held veto power over the choice for the second
highest elective office in the nation, the man who in fact became President
only months later.

To understand the extortionate impact of the TWU strike in New York City, non-
New Yorkers need to know that, particularly in Manhattan, every-day traffic is
so dense that one literally can reach most destinations in mid-town faster by
walking within a ten-block radius than by driving or taking a cab.  For most
people, the only really time-effective way to get about within Manhatttan and
from the far reaches of Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx, is to take the subway,
which doesn’t have to contend with traffic lights and traffic congestion.
According to the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), which operates the
subways and buses, about 4.5 million people ride the subways on an average
weekday.

This means that an illegal strike by subway and bus workers literally paralyzes
the city and wipes out normal Christmas shopping time, because people are
forced to spend many extra hours getting to and from their homes and their
workplaces in streets that are even more crowded than usual with cars that
normally would not enter the city.

Under the New York State Public Employees Fair Employment Act of 1967,
popularly known as the Taylor Law, public employees are prohibited from
striking, and penalties for violation theoretically can be assessed against a
striking union and its members.  But the trifling matter of obeying the law is
often safely ignored, because these unions are the largest source of campaign
funds and free campaign workers at election time.  They also spend vast amounts
of money on TV advertising to support liberal-Progressive candidates.

In New York City, the TWU has a long history of thumbing its nose at the
citizens of New York, defiantly breaking the law and daring politicians to do
anything about it.  New York, being a top-to-bottom socialist welfare state,
its citizens historically side with the unions and pressure politicians to meet
union demands, no matter how outrageous.  Especially is this true in New York
City, where the public sector and its welfare-state apparatus constitute by far
the biggest local industry, and Greenwich Village was home to the original
American socialist literary groups.

Note that the TWU and other liberal-Progressive-socialist groups rely on the
French Revolution’s technique of propaganda to incite mob action against the
legitimate political authorities.  It doesn’t matter what the law says, if
opinion polls can be manipulated by a friendly left-wing media establishment to
create public support for illegal action and extortionate demands.

The subway strike’s PR nature was evident when publicity-hungry Jesse Jackson
arrived in town for rounds of photo-ops expressing solidarity with the
“oppressed” workers.

Facts, however, are somewhat different.  TWU workers already have far better
pay and extraordinarily better health benefits than other New York City workers
doing comparable work.  As the Wall Street Journal described it, “… New
York’s poor, downtrodden transit workers, who earn an average of $55,000 a year
and have gold-plated health and other benefits. The union is demanding 8%-a-
year raises for each of the next three years and lowering of the age at which a
worker can retire with full benefits to 50 from 55. No wonder New York is
sometimes called the City of Dreams.”

TWU leaders denounced the city for resisting their ridiculous demands, telling
the public that the subway system has a large surplus fund that ought to be
used for that purpose.

This is a selfish and dangerous position.  It ignores the continuing necessity
of maintaining and upgrading the system’s tracks and trains, not to mention
beefing up subway system security against Islamic terrorists in the city’s 468
subway stations and 842 miles of track, all too vulnerable and an obvious
first-choice point of attack.

The TWU’s public-be-damned attitude flows directly from the radical socialism
and anarchism of its genealogical predecessor, the Industrial Workers of the
World (IWW): they care nothing for right or wrong, and are prepared to use any
tactics that will bludgeon management into submission to their demands.  After
all, in socialist theory, such tactics are just additional ways to bring about
socialism’s social justice: equal distribution of property and income in order
to perfect society and humanity.  The liberal-Progressive corollary is that
world peace will follow automatically when socialist planners succeed in
redistributing income and wealth through the UN, so there will theoretically be
no Islamic terrorist threat.

The hopeful aspect of the subway strike was that public officials Ð the
governor, mayor, and head of the MTA Ð denounced the TWU strike in scathing
terms and a judge issued an injunction imposing million-dollar-a-day fines on
the union.  This was possible because, for the first time in decades, New
Yorkers’ expressed disgust with the union’s action.  New York is still
overwhelmingly a blue, socialist state.  But maybe a few glimmers of common
sense are being detected from within the fog.

Coming in 2006: Group marriage TV?

By Brent Bozell

Dec 30, 2005

As another year turns, we’re reminded that the more things change, the more
they stay the same. As our popular culture pushes ever further into anything
goes, we’re reminded that anything-goes has certainly gone before.

Pick up St. Augustine’s “Confessions,” and find him traveling to Carthage in
the year 371, where “I found myself in a hissing cauldron of lust.” Looking
back, he regretted how in his desperate search for love, “I muddied the stream
of friendship with the filth of lewdness and clouded its clear waters with
Hell’s black river of lust.”

This was not the way Augustine saw it in the dissolute days before he found
God, and it is certainly not the way our entertainment elite sees love and sex
today. But it’s interesting how at that time, Augustine found his sorrows
drowned at the theater, “because the plays reflected my unhappy plight and were
tinder to my fire.” He was amazed how no one actually wanted to experience
sadness and tragedy firsthand, but many were thrilled to watch it faked before
them. They wanted the vicarious experience of risky emotional highs and tragic
emotional lows without the actual, nonfictional pain. Curiosity could drag them
anywhere, to spy on the ribald and disastrous ways “the other half lived.”

That urge still has echoes today. Led by the usual hallowed envelope-pushers
of pay cable, Hollywood has marched ever more passionately in this decade into
chronicling and celebrating a cavalcade of alternative lifestyles. The Gay and
Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation coos over how on this season, Showtime’s
lesbian drama, “The L Word,” will have a full-time “trans-gendered” character.
HBO’s Wild West drama “Deadwood,” previously well-known for its “lyrical” flood
of profanities, will feature a new “gay and eccentric theater owner” character
in the new year.

But HBO is really trampling new weeds by ushering in a new hot alternative
lifestyle this spring—polygamy. Newsweek is already raving in their “Who’s
Next” year-end issue about “Big Love,” starring Bill Paxton as a man with three
wives in three adjoining houses with seven kids between them.

Reporter Marc Peyser explained: “The Henricksons are devoutly religious and
wholesome (they are not Mormons but an unspecified offshoot). Most of the
action focuses on how Bill, who owns home-improvement stores in Utah, handles
the mundane aspects of his overpopulated life.” The vicarious appeal is
watching this man trying to juggle his work life with keeping three “very
desperate” housewives satisfied. “It’s everything that every family faces, just
times three,” claimed co-creator Mark Olsen. “The yuck factor disappears, and
you just see human faces. We found it to be a mother lode.” Newsweek oozed: “On
top of that, it’s taboo.” For how long?

The secular sexual gospel in this series is quite obvious. Even “non-
traditional” families of all kinds of exotic stripes can still qualify as down
to earth, even “devoutly religious and wholesome.” One of the show’s creators,
playwright Will Scheffer, is especially fond of envelope-pushing. One of his
plays featured a bit “delivered by [cannibal/murderer] Jeffrey Dahmer and takes
place in Dahmer’s kitchen in Heaven, in which he gives lessons on cooking and
other topics.”

Hollywood’s power to affect the popular culture is awesome, and its dedication
to tearing down traditions is frightening. We’ve seen it repeated time and
again. Once upon a time, society saw pre-marital sex as wrong; after years of
“Friends"-style programming, today it is commonplace to see unmarried couples
living together. It wasn’t long ago that American society saw the homosexual
lifestyle as immoral—yes, a sin. Today, after years of Hollywood agitation,
promoting gay characters and gay lifestyles, it is to be accepted, and anything
short of that is intolerance. It seems like just yesterday that a teacher
having sex with his/her underaged student was considered rape. No, there’s
another word for this: pedophilia. Today? Having been sensitized with enough
“Dawson’s Creek” episodes, we yawn when we hear about it on the news.

It is a thirst to shock that cannot be quenched. It’s an addiction. This
element in Hollywood lives to destroy, and must continue destroying to stay
alive, so the anti-Western cultural rampage continues. What’s next?
Nonfictional “group marriage TV” will arrive on the Bravo channel in the
spring, with a documentary called “Three of Hearts: A Postmodern Family,”
featuring a New York triple with two gay men, a woman and two children.

Now, reading that last sentence—what was your reaction? Perhaps a bit
surprised, maybe somewhat disgusted. But you weren’t shocked, were you?

I rest my case.

The Public Education System in Shambles

Why is Stupid Stuff Being Taught in our Schools?

By

Rob Hood

There has been an ongoing controversy lately about the teaching of Intelligent Design in our school systems across America. It was not that many years ago that the Bible was allowed to be taught and read in Schools and still is in some private schools and definitely in the home school scene. Since liberals highjacked the education system back in the 1960s, they have brought nothing but shame and disgrace to education, respect for authority, and equal learning.

They brought the idea of evolution into the high school scene, brought “sex education” to the high school scene, and overall destroyed the whole learning experience by changing the social culture of America and used the children to bring about a liberal revolution that would ultimately defy the very God who created them.

What does sex education have to do with education? That is reserved for the parents to teach, but the liberals infiltrated this into the minds of young people to brainwash them into believing that nothing is right or wrong and there are no consequences for actions taken. Not only this, but it would eventually spark a growing murder rate not seen since the world began. This new murder rate would not be called murder though. It would have a new label to make it sound better. It would be called “A woman’s right to choose” which is abortion, a.k.a. murder.

Ask anyone today who is conservative what they get on a term paper done in college if it has a conservative slant to it. A big fat F, that’s what. Liberalism has grown to an unsafe level in America and especially in college and I say it’s about time we had a conservative revolution to change this back to the way it was before our nation was plagued with non-sense. The liberals are always screaming about equality and fairness, but just let someone conservative say some about Intelligent Design being taught or evolution is just an unproven theory. I think it would be fair to present both the evolution theory and the creation in a textbook. What would be wrong about that? It would give the students a chance to see both ideas and come to their own conclusions. No way, the liberals say. They only want it their way and that is simply put : there is no God, no creator, no good or evil, no right or wrong, and other silly notions.

There is much more evidence to suggest creation than evolution any day. Look at the Jewish calendar. It actually is measured on the days of creation. The Jews say that creation took place 3674 years before Christ. That means that the world is only 5767 years old. Many creation scientist have calculated the Earth to be about 6000 years old taking into account that the creation was a literal six day period of time. I actually got this from Dismantling The Big Bang by Alex Williams and Dr. John Hartnett which I will probably review later. It is a great book for any college student to have and was actually written for younger students to have as a source to refute evolution and the big Bang. You know what? I believe in the Big Bang. God said “BANG” and it happened.

I think that the whole controversy over the Intelligent design thing is unnecessary and silly. There is nothing wrong with presenting both sides, unless of course you are the ACLU. I suppose they may come after me since I am an unbeliever in evolution. I know I will probably get alot of hate mail for this article but at least I have the resources to back it up. Another resource I use are the New York Times bestsellers The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science and the Politically Incorrect Guide to American History in which I will do a review on both later. I highly recommend these to parents who want their high school students to learn real American history and science and not just what a bunch of liberal scholars want to you to know in a textbook.

As far as I am concerned I hope to see more homeschooling and more private schools popping up and I think that the more liberals incorporate non-sense subjects like evolution, sex ed, and other unnecessary items into the public school system, we will see more of these options for our kids. No one wants to send their child off to a school to learn about how humans derived from apes or how to use a condom. That has no place in a school it should be banned altogether and be replaced with a pre-liberal school curriculum based on History, Science, Social Studies, Math, English, Computer Applications, and driver’s ed. Sex education has no place in a public school. NONE! On another note, perhaps the only people who ever derived from an ape are the ones who actually believe it!
